Episode 4: Rita Repulsa
Newtech (Year 2015)
It took them months to put together something that they could use, thankfully, Alpha 5 and the Rangers with Anubis Cruger, Dr. Kat Manx, and the people of Sirius worked hard to make the city somewhere they could live.
It was March already when Jake finally managed to have his first meeting with Anubis Cruger, Kat Manx, Alpha-5, Conner, and Mike about the next steps they were going to take. In all this time, the Death Ranger has not attacked them and that worried them since their friends were still sleeping and there was no way to find the Death Ranger.
Jake sat down and took a deep breath, in front of him, were several documents with all the cities where the Rangers fought, there were files with other planets too. Jake looked at all of them rest and took a deep breath, looking at his friends and allies.
-Ok… -said Jake, taking a deep breath-… look, I have no idea how to do this. I know you guys asked me to lead you because I have Zordon's power but I don't know… I have no idea if I'm good enough to do what you all expect me to do.
-You think that? -asked Conner, raising his eyebrow.
-You and Anubis have more experience in leading and I…-said Jake, looking down.
Conner got up and walked towards Jake with his usual smirk, maybe he was right but it was because of that experience that he knew who should and shouldn't lead this new order and that wasn't him. He stood behind Jake and put a hand on his shoulder, lowering his head until he was on Jake's level.
-Let me remind you something, Jacob. -said, Conner. -… you are the son of the very first Red Ranger, a man that lead his friends into battle many times. You are also the godson of the Legendary Ranger and even are named after him… look at you, you even have his colors, in a different order but still, you were a Black, Green, and White Power Ranger now, if that doesn't scream leadership, nothing else will.
Jake looked at his hands. Yes, he had all that but he seemed so far from his dad and his uncle that he wasn't sure.
-And… to finish my statement, you saw greatness inside Troy, Noah, Gia, and Emma. You and Gosei gave them the powers they used to defeat Vrak, Vekar, and the Armada, thanks to you and Gosei we had Rangers to defend our planet one more time, and believe when I tell you, Jake, they were good choices, only a leader can do that.
-Besides, you help Troy lead them, right? -said Mike, relaxing against his chair-… he looked up to you every time and hear you. Troy looked up to you, there has to be a reason for that, don't you think?
Anubis and Kat Manx looked at each other before they looked at Jake, the guy was still doubting but when Anubis coughed to get his attention, he smiled at Jake.
-You came to our planet and saved me when I wanted nothing but revenge, Jacob. You acted like a true leader when you put your people… my people before personal needs. -said Anubis, while Kat nodded-… we stand by you because you stand by us and that is something that can be learned, that's something we are born with.
Jake looked around the table, the emotion was clear in his eyes when he felt Conner clapping his back and giving him a little squeeze before he went back to his chair. He could feel their trust and he felt stronger because of it.
Jake smiled when he felt someone grabbing his jacket and looked down, seeing Bridge there, Jake hold the young boy and hold him, sitting on the chair Kat put beside him and smiling when Mike ruffled Bridge's hair, making him laugh.
-Thank you for your trust. -said Jake, getting more formal while he look at the files-…let's see… Alpha, do our allies are aware of the latest development?
-Yes. I contacted them and they are willing to help us with anything we may need. -said Alpha-5-… they also want to talk to you to learn about the next steps we are taking.
-Do me a favor, plan a meeting with them and we will go over anything, there is an idea that has been running through my mind for days and that I will share with you all first. -said, Jake, looking a the files-…Anubis, I would like for you to assist Alpha and see if there is anyone else we can contact for assistance, between both of you, we should be able to have a meeting with not only Rangers' allies but also Eltar and Sirius.
-Of course. -said Anubis.
Jake nodded and looked at the files, his eyes stopped at a picture and then he looked at Mike, who seemed to be waiting for his orders.
-Mike, I know you still have contacts with the Samurais, if I'm not mistaken, your families should be fine. -said Jake, his expression softening-… I know it won't be easy but I would like for you to contact them, explain what happened, and see if they are willing to help us train. I also would you and them, if they accept, to have talks with my dad's and uncle Tommy's martial arts friends, the Ninja Storm Academy, and Pai Zhuq masters, we are going to need several techniques and different training routes to defeat this Death Ranger.
Mike nodes, moving his Samurai morpher, his job is not going to be easy but he is focused on doing it, anything to get that Ranger and free their friends from their eternal sleep. Jake looked at Conner then and sighed.
-Conner, if I'm not mistaken, Ethan was working on projects for the Silver Guardians, right? -asked Jake.
-Yes, he had several new weapons and armor he wanted to present Wes. -said, Conner.
Jake nodded, looking at the file and then back at Bridge, the idea was there and even if he didn't want to involve anyone, this was a war he knew they couldn't win alone. They needed help, a lot of help.
-I have been thinking about this for a long time. Three Rangers alone won't be able to fight this Ranger and his army if he decides to attack different planets or even cities. -said Jake, scratching his chin-… I think we should ask for more people, willing to train and learn with us to become Rangers… something like a Ranger Patrol.
-Uhm… that is a good idea. -said Conner-… something like Police but with a Ranger base?
-Yes, they would have to go through training first with the teachers Mike can get us and our experience, they should be able to protect the city and we could focus on taking down the Death Ranger. -said Jake.-… but for that, they are going to need suits, armor, and weapons, that's why I want you to talk with Wes Collin's board and see if they would be willing to land us a hand, explain the situation and let them know I will personally make sure the whole universe knows the Silver Guardians are part of the new plan to protect the Universe.
Conner nodded and Jake took a deep breath and finally looked at Kat Manx.
-Dr. Manx, I know you are a reliable scientist and doctor and that's why I want you to be the head of the Medical Bay and to make quality control of the weapons and armor the new Rangers would be using. -said, Jake-… Anubis has faith in you and I felt you will make great advances to defend the universe so I think there is no one else better for this job than you.
-Thank you, Jacob. I am honored and I promise to do everything I can to help. -said Kat-… and call me Kat, please.
-Of course, Kat. -said Jake, closing the file. -… this is going to be a long fight but together I know we can defeat this Ranger and save our friends. I won't fail you and I know you won't fail the Universe.
The table looked at each other and then at Jake and they all nodded, sealing the new alliance before they all got up, going to do their tasks while Jake finally was able to relax, closing his eyes until he looked to the side and saw Bridge looking at him with interest.
-Sorry little one, that was boring adult talk, uh? -said Jake, lowering his body to be on Bridge's level-… is there anything you need?
-I'm bored, papa.
Jake was taken aback when Bridge called him 'papa', he wondered if the kid understood what that implied and even if he did saw himself having a family, hopefully with Gia, back then it felt as if that part of his life was too far away from him but now, looking at Bridge's innocent and curious eyes, Jake wondered if it was a bad idea.
Bridge's parents were gone and he needed someone, especially when he was so young. Jake smiled at him and hold Bridge, putting Bridge on his lap.
-Papa, uh? -said, Jake.
-Is that bad, papa? -asked Bridge, innocently.
-Oh, no Bridge, of course not. I just… is something new for me, just like it would be new for you to be my son. -said, Jake.
-But I like you and you are strong. -said Bridge, raising his hands and making a big circle when he said Jake was strong-… and your aura… is so pretty.
-Pretty… can you see what color is it? -asked Jake, curious.
-It has a lot of colors but it has animals too. A Red Dragon, a Blue Shark, A Pink Phoenix, a Yellow Tiger, a Black Snake, and a White Tiger. -said Bridge, impressed-… papa, you have a whole zoo in your chest!
Jake chuckled, a whole zoo… he touched his chest feeling warm and sensing the spirits of the Megaforce Rangers with him. They wanted to help too and he needed them now more than ever. He smiled looking at Bridge. The kid had something special and being Eltarian is not a surprise but still, there was something else, a connection Jake could not explain. Bridge touched his face and smiled and Jake knew that moment, Bridge would become his son.
-I'll be your papa, Bridge and you will be my son but first, we need to give you an Earth name… -said Jake, thinking until an idea came to his name-… how about Bridge Noah Scott?
Bridge's eyes' grew surprised and he nodded furiously. He loved his new name and he hugged Jake, surprising the Ranger that after a few seconds, returned the hug and smiled, holding the kid close to him.
Looking right outside the door, Conner and Mike smiled at the scene and then looked at each other, nodding as they walked away. They made the right choice by making Jake their leader. He will save them all when the time comes, they could feel it.
SPD Headquarters (Year 2025)
Bridge smiled fondly as he remembered that day, becoming Jake's son has been a great honor up to this day and when he saw the image disappearing with Jake and Bridge leaving the conference room hand in hand he knew that no matter what, that was his best accomplishment.
Hologram Jake appeared smiling as he looked at the image, right beside Bridge.
-You know, that day I wasn't sure if I was going to be a good dad but then I realized I had the best reference in my dad growing up and that I learned a lot from wonderful people that are our family and that I hope someday you will get to meet. -said, Jake-… it has been an honor to be your father, Bridge. I know there is more in you than what you show, don't be scared of letting it out. I promise everything will be alright.
Bridge nodded, looking down as he did his best to hide his emotions when he felt Z's hand grabbing his and Gia's kiss on the side of his head. He got their family and even his mom back but now he was missing his dad and that knife was cutting deep into his heart.
Hologram Jake walked around Bridge and stood in front of the table, looking at the Rangers around him. It felt almost as if he knew they were here.
-Dealing with the leaders of the planets and Wes' company was… complicated. -said Jake-… but we managed to get an agreement and create the Space Patrol Delta Rangers or SPD Rangers. Several civilians from Earth and species from other planets joined us and by the end of the month, we were ready to start.
Jake's face grew serious as he turned around, walking towards Gia, for a few seconds, they looked at each other until he looked towards his father and Gia looked down, closing her fists to restrain herself while Jake sighed.
-But we weren't the only ones getting ready and we got our first meeting with Rita and his putty patrollers the same day we inaugurated the SPD Academy. -said Jake-… ah… it was a chaos.
By the tone of his voice, it seemed more than chaos. Hologram Jake disappeared and the image of the inauguration of the SPD Academy appeared in front of them.
SPD Academy (Year 2015)
Jake finished buttoning his long jacket. He was wearing black pants and a long jacket with a white stripe and the symbol of a dog in a badge that had 'police' on the top. They decided to go with the dog symbol to honor the people of Sirius and the 'police' and badge to get their status on Earth and also a tribute to the Time Force Rangers.
He looked at himself in the mirror and sighed. He was nervous, this was the first time he was going to talk in front of thousands of new cadets that trusted him and his system to bring peace to the Universe. He made sure his jacket was tied up properly when he heard the door opening and steps running to him.
Jake looked down and smiled when he saw Bridge, with a small uniform of the SPD with a green and yellow strip, one for his father and the other for his favorite Ranger. Bridge stood in front of his father with a proud look and opened his arms.
-Do I look ok, papa? -asked Bridge.
-Look at you! You look fantastic, Bridge. Let me see…-said Jake, kneeling to adjust his jacket-… now. Are you ready?
-Of course, papa.
-Ok! Stay by my side.
Bridge nodded and he and Jake walked out of the conference room, at the door, on one side, Conner was dressed in the SPD uniform with a crimson strip, on the other, Mike was wearing the same uniform with a light green strip. Anubis, Kat, and Alpha-5 waited in front of them, Anubis was wearing the uniform with a grey strip, and Kat was dressed in a lab coat and her glasses while Alpha-5 remained Alpha-5.
Jake stood in front of them and took a deep breath, this was the moment they had been waiting for.
-You will do great, Jake, just be yourself. -said Alpha-5.
-I don't think that would be good…
Jake rolled his eyes when Conner and Mike joined them and finally, looked towards the room where the Rangers were resting. He walked towards them, closing his eyes as he touched the crystal where family and friends were sleeping, asking for their strength before this important moment.
-I promise… I will bring you back. -said Jake, opening his eyes.-… whatever it takes.
Jake turns around, walking away from the room and towards his friends. He had a goal and he had to make sure they come back because if not, this all would be for nothing. After all, even if he saved the world… his world was nothing without them.
SPD Headquarters (Year 2025)
The Rangers looked at the image outside of the building, there, several young men and women from every part of the world and even from other planets, stood and watched first Alpha-5, Kat Manx and Anubis Cruger appear on the stage then, they saw Conner and Mike, standing on each side and finally, Jake came out, with Bridge and signal his son to stand between Conner and Mike while he addressed the new cadets.
For all the Rangers it was impressive to see the number of people they managed to reunite, in front of them, there were cadets, yes, but there were plenty of teachers and mentors there too from different disciplines, ready to train the cadets and teach them everything they knew to save the planet.
But the vision of Jake, Conner, and Mike standing there, as the only representative Rangers. Their serious gesture, everything it made looks more mature and more ready to take on this mission.
-Your son is a great man, Jason. -said, Cruger-… he took the lead in front of all those people you see now, it wasn't easy and he was not alone but the sacrifices and the fight he, Conner, and Mike did to get us to this moment are remembered by many of the cadets that came looking to defend their planet.
Hologram Jake appeared beside his father and smiled.
-I was so nervous I could barely speak. I'm pretty sure I made a fool of myself a couple of times but I made the promise to every Ranger inside those crystals that I would find a way to get the energy back, no matter what…
Jason looked at his son with tears in his eyes. His little Jake became the man he always thought he could be, strong, secure, and a leader in a moment of need. Jason wanted nothing more than to hug him and tell him how proud he was but for now, he could watch him become the leader of the SPD Academy.
SPD Academy (Year 2015)
Jake stood in front of the cadets and new teachers and took a deep breath before he finally got the courage to speak.
-Welcome to the SPD Academy for Future Rangers. -started Jake-… as you know, we are looking for young men and women ready to defend the universe from the threat of the Death Ranger and, at the same time, create new police that will help and create a better and healthy relationship between all of our species, with us, several teachers will teach us martial arts, ninja and samurai techniques, pai zhuq and everything necessary to avoid and repel another alien invasion or another attack like the one our friends from Andresia, Eltar and Sirius suffered.
Jake looked at the people looking at him, wondering who he was and why he was the leader and he took another breath. He wished that Gia and his team were there to give him the strength he desperately needed but they weren't, in their place, he felt a tiger pushing his palm up and he smiled.
That's exactly what he needed.
-Many of you wonder who am I… my name is Jacob Oliver Scott Kwan. I'm the son of the original Red and Yellow Rangers. I grew up to become a Ranger, training and learning with several generations of Rangers that became my family until I was able to join my team, the Megaforce and Super Megaforce Rangers.
The cadets started to whisper and Jake knew they understood who he was talking about, after all, the Megaforce and Super Megaforce fought and won against the Armada. They were heroes and heroines and that's exactly what Jake needed.
But his eyes grew dark and his face serious when he talked to the cadets again.
-Unfortunately, the Death Rangers attacked us after we defeated the Armada and he took the energy of my team and the other Rangers present there, sending them into an eternal sleep. -said Jake-… then he attacked Eltar and Sirius with his army and soon, he will launch another attack against the rest of the universe. I don't know why and right now is not my concern. My concern is to make sure all of us are ready to fight him and that we will win.
The cadets nodded and even the teachers clapped. Jake was serious and that was giving the cadets a sense of responsibility that made Jake feel confident.
-We have the power to defeat him and his army, all we need is some training and the conviction we won't let him take our homes. From now on, we will fight for our planets, together as one, and someday we will be able to recover our lives, stronger than we are now, and show anyone out there that tries to attack this universe that the Power Rangers don't give up! -said Jake-… we will fight until the very end because…
Jake raised his hand.
-Once a Ranger! Always a Ranger!
The cadets and the teachers raised their hands and repeated what Jake said when, suddenly, the alarm made everyone look around, looking for the source of the attack. Jake, Coner, and Mike quickly stood together.
-Bridge, go with Kat! -said, Jake-… Cruger, get the teachers and the cadets inside and activate the defenses! Alpha! Do you know what is happening!?
-It seems like… ay, ay, ay! Rita Repulsa and the Putty Patrollers are here! -said Alpha-5.
-The what!? -asked Mike.
Jake looked at the people running inside the building and then how Cruger and Kat made sure everyone was safe then, he saw the defenses activate when he felt something on his chest and Jake closed his eyes.
Jake's Mind
-Bastro… what is going on? -asked Jake.
The Death Ranger… of course, the energy he stole from your family. -said Bastro, walking from one side to the other-… he must have used it to bring back their enemies.
-What!?
Bastro sat down, thinking, and then looked at Jake.
There is a way… when he stole their energy he controlled it and used it to bring them back but if we defeat them again… -said Bastro.
-Then, the energy would go back to the Rangers? Is that what you mean? -asked Jake.
Yes, defeating them won't be easy, Jacob but you have all the qualities and know all the stories, if someone can do it, it's you, besides, you are not alone.
Jake looked at Bastro and then at his hands. He could do it? He wasn't sure but if this was the way to get that energy back, he was going to try it. Anything to get them back.
Out Of Jake's Mind
Jake opened his eyes when he saw the putty patrollers running through the city and looking over his shoulder, he saw Conner and Mike nodding to him, ready to go into action.
-Ok…-said Jake, raising his morpher-… White Lion! Activate!
-Firebird! Activate! -screamed Conner.
-Wolf! Activate! -screamed Mike.
The Rangers morphed and stood beside each other while the putty patrollers ran towards them, not far from them, inside the building, Cruger looked at the scene, with cadets and teachers around them. He had faith… they could win this.
Outside the building, the White Lion roared before he ran toward the group of putty patrollers and jumped in the middle of a big group, throwing a few to the ground before he raised his hands and hit the ground with them, creating a wave that took the rest of the putty patroller group flying in several directions.
Not far from him, the Firebird extended his wings and flew over a group of putty patrollers, he called for his bow and arrows, and grabbing a few, he fired over the putty patrollers, making them jump as the arrows exploded.
The Green Wolf stood quietly in the middle of a group of putty patrollers, it looked almost like a statue as the putty patrollers came closer and touched him a few times, when he didn't move, they raised their weapons, ready to attack and that's when the Green Wolf, in a quick movement, grabbed his sword and with a simple movement slashed all the group. The putty patrollers fell to the ground while the Green Wolf put his sword back on his belt.
They were so focused on taking care of the army of putty patrollers that the White Lion didn't see the movements of Rita Repulsas' hands until it was too late and he found himself being tied and pushed towards a pillar Rita created in front of the school.
The White Lion tried to free himself but it was impossible, the ties were too tight and he could do anything but that didn't stop him from trying. Not far from him, the Green Wolf tried to help but he was surrounded by putty patrollers that throw themselves at him, stopping him from helping the White Lion.
Firebird flew towards his friend, preparing his bow and arrows when one of the putty patrollers jump on his back, making him lose balance at the same time he shot the explosive arrow. Firebird fell, rolling on the ground and managing to take care of the putty patroller before looking at the White Lion.
Rita Repulsa was laughing, the spectacle was really good and she realized now these Rangers were nothing compared to the ones she fought years ago.
-What's wrong, White Lion!? You can't do anything without your daddy!? -laughed Rita.
At her words, the White Lion stopped moving. He was reminded about the people he is trying to save and also, he was reminded about the cadets and teachers he brought here to fight this new enemy. If they fail now… what's going to happen to them? His dad, his family, his friends, and Gia, all of them lost forever.
He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and let the power guide him, like so many times before. He can do this. They can do this.
He felt the arrow coming towards him and moved as much as possible to the side. He could see in his mind's eye how the arrow was coming to him and did his best to move until the arrow stabbed his arm then, it exploded, cutting the ties that hold him and giving him the chance to free his legs and fall to the ground.
It hurt but White Lion forced himself to remain calm as he looked up, towards Rita Repulsa that is not laughing anymore.
-Damn you, Ranger! -screamed Rita.
The White Lion got up, the arm where the arrow exploded is dark from the explosion but White Lion acted like nothing as he starts to walk towards Rita Repulsa, on each side, putty patrollers tried to stop him but Firebird and Green Wolf stand beside him, pushing the putty patrollers away so White Lion can have a clear path.
Rita takes several steps back and moves her staff, creating ice spears she throws to the White Lion but he jumps, quickly and grabs one of the ice spears, hitting Rita's staff and making it fall away from her. Rita looks at her staff and screams, furious before she raises her hands, creating a shield, and then moves her hands, making a copy of Goldar appear in front of her.
-Finish him! -screams Rita.
The White Lion prepares himself for battle again when suddenly, he hears a voice in his mind.
Jacob, on the side of your morpher two buttons make the ears of the White Lion. Press the right one and you will have access to the Bastro Version of all the Rangers before you. You will wear suits with your own set of weapons. On the left side, you have all the battalizers, in case you need them. Use them to defeat the past enemies of your family and show the Death Ranger the true power of a Power Ranger.
Goldar prepared, running towards the Ranger with his sword ready to attack when the White Lion looks down, at his morpher raising his wrist, he pressed the right ear of the Lion on the morpher. He sees the Lion's mouth opening and the symbol of all the Power Rangers before him.
The White Lion looks at Goldar, raising his sword and then back to his morpher. He knew what to do.
-My dad, mom, uncles, and aunt stopped you a long time ago, Goldar… now is my turn and I will do this for them! -said the White Lion, pressing the symbol of the coin on his morpher.
Goldar stopped as he saw the White Lion covered by white energy, only his golden eyes were visible as he screamed.
-Bastro Ranger! -screamed Jake-… It's Morphing Time!
Firebird and Green Wolf looked impressed at how their friend was covered in a white light and slowly, his suit changed to the standard Mighty Morphing suit except for the diamonds on the chest that were replaced by the face of a roaring lion. On his arms, appeared the bands of the original Green Rangers, with the symbol of the seven coins, including the Dragon and the Tiger and his helmet had the form of a lion with two small golden eyes at the top and a big black visor with two teeth on each side, almost the same form Jake's mother's helmet with the difference that Jake's were lion teeth and Trini were Saber-Tooth Tiger.
-Bastro Mighty Morphing Ranger! Ready!
Firebird and Green Wolf looked at each other while inside the building, cadets, and teachers cheered for them and Bridge smiled. His papa and his uncles were heroes. He would never forget that.
SPD Headquarters (Year 2025)
Cruger smiled as he saw Jason and the rest of the Mighty Morphing Rangers getting up, once thing was using their keys to take their suits and power, and another very different to get your own set of power with only pressing a button.
-Until that moment, we never knew the power Jake was holding. -said Conner-…but seeing him not only holding Zordon's power but being able to master all the powers of the Rangers before him was something unique.
-It was almost having a piece of all of you there. -said Mike in their minds-… but it was exactly what we needed to fight and to convince everyone this was the right to do. If we wanted to survive, we needed to fight.
Hologram Jake appeared, crossing his arms. The Lion morpher was present on his wrist but now it seemed old and it look like it lost a golden eye.
-Rita's face changed after my first transformation into the Bastro Mighty Morphing Ranger, apparently, she still has a fond memory of you all. -said Jake, making the Mighty Morphing Rangers laugh and Jake looks down-… having the chance to use those powers, was an honor to see myself sharing the power Zordon entrusted you all years ago and inspired so many to fight and protect his planet. Is thanks to you all that the cadets and the teachers found themselves believing they could win this war.
The Mighty Morphing Rangers looked at each other, hugging as they saw Jake disappear and the image return, this time with the new Mighty Morphing stopping Goldar'sword with his hands.
SPD Academy (Year 2015)
The Bastro Mighty Morphing Ranger pushed Goldar back and raised his hand and a new weapon appeared in his hand. It had the form of a sword but on each side, it had two daggers attached. The sword's handle had the tyranno and the tricera coins while the dagger on each side of the handle had the saber-tooth tiger and the dragon's and tiger's coins then, with his other hand, he touched his belt where a blaster appeared, the blaster was long with the mastodon coin on the cannon while handle had the pterodactyl coin.
The Bastro Mighty Morphing combined the sword and the blaster and then, pointed at Goldar.
-Mighty Blaster! -said the Ranger.
A white laser beam was fired, hitting Goldar in the chest and defeating him with only one hit. He fell to the ground, disappearing while Rita took several steps back, now worried she would end up like Goldar when the Ranger lowered his weapon.
-Goldar!
-Rita!
The Bastro Mighty Morphing Ranger looked up when he saw Lord Zedd appearing in front of Rita Repulsa. He stood in front of her and raised his staff at the Ranger at the same time Firebird and Green Wolf arrived on each side of the Bastro Mighty Morphing Ranger.
-Let's get out of here. Is not the time, yet. -said, Lord Zedd.
Rita didn't discuss it further as she touched Lord Zedd back and teleported them out of the city while the Rangers looked at them. The Bastro Mighty Morphing Ranger sighed as he lost his morph, going back to being the White Lion Ranger. He stumbled but was held by his friends, that quickly made sure he was fine.
-What have you done, kid? -asked Firebird, demorphing.
-Yeah, that was awesome. -said the Green Wolf, doing the same.
The White Lion demorphed and Jake took a deep breath, looking at his morpher. He wasn't sure but the power he felt, was incredible. He also felt exhausted but it was better to keep that to himself for now, at least until he understood the extent of his powers.
-I'm not sure but it seems it helped… -said Jake-… is everyone ok?

Before Conner could finish, they heard the cadets and teachers come out of the building, clapping and cheering at the Rangers while they ran to them and created a circle around them. They were happy, almost as if they believed this could work and they could win.
Bridge ran towards his dad and jumped in his arms, with Mike still holding Jake for support and Conner ruffling the kid's hair.
Jake, Conner, and Mike looked at each other, smiling. Now they could start working because now everyone knew they had a chance.
SPD Headquarters (Year 2025)
The Rangers saw how the cadets and teachers followed Jake, Mike, and Conner into the building, ready to start their training and classes, and felt overwhelmed by pride, these three Rangers in one fight showed they could fight the Death Ranger, as long as they stood together.
-That kid of yours got even the leaders wrapped around his finger after that. -said Conner-… they called him the Ultimate Ranger as much as he hated the name, it was true.
-Jake became a leader that day and no matter what, he remained a leader until the very last day. -said Mike, looking up to Jason-… and now you know that we managed to defeat them all because you are all here. It took us eleven long years to defeat every enemy the Death Ranger threw at us.
Jason looked at the image of his son, smiling as he walked into the building, and then closed his eyes as a tear ran down his face. His baby boy was a hero, he fell to his knees, sobbing, all these years wanting him to be a normal boy just for him to become the greatest of them all.
He was so proud and at the same time, so scared.
The other Mighty Morphing Rangers hugged Jason, feeling his pride and fear, the same they were feeling too while Gia sighed and this time, it was Bridge who kissed her hair, hugging her while he took Z's hand.
Hologram Jake appeared dressed with his SPD Commander Uniform but the Megaforce Ranger noticed that on his belt, he wear the Megaforce and Super Megaforce morphers proudly. They smiled as Jake scratched the back of his head and let out a long breath.
-I wish I could have defeated Rita and Zedd that day, the process of getting your energy back would have started sooner and maybe…-said Jake, looking down but then, he recovered and looked up, smiling-… well, it doesn't matter, they got scared and took their time, trying to come to a plan to defeat us but at the same time, it gave us time to start with classes, plans and have a little normal life.
Hologram Jake looked behind him where the image of his room appeared and smiled. That was a good day and one of the few peaceful days they were going to have during the curse of this war.
