Pirate Scum

My creaking ship; she sinks below me

I bellow orders to those before me

A flag waves wildly in the pressuring wind

Sinking we are, sinking we've been

Signaling to raise the sails

Once again to try to sail

But it's no use, and though I'm the captain

I decide to leave my mates a laughn'

I climb aboard a sturdy old dory

Salute my mates and that's my story

I tried not to save them too

To save myself was my biggest cue

Rowing in the winding winds

I see the boy reach up again

To grab my hat and cut it to shreds

With his small dagger - he's lucky that I don't have his head!

Pulling out my sword without fear

I plunge towards him, and he draws near

Suddenly he raises before me

Flying over the half sunken dory

I see the croc draw a near

Ticking sounds ringing in my eyes

Scrambling to pick up the ores

I sail a far on my sinkin' dory

Trying to climb back up on my sinking ship

I find that a mutiny has taken place

They throw me back overboard all happy and glee

I'll get them back – once I'm free

The croc sits below with waiting jaws

He snaps at me, and then I'm gone

Into a cold and desperate plea

Into my unconscious, deep into the sea

I find the boy I was fighting rescuing me

I tried to struggle free but nothing was there to grab onto

I opened my eyes slowly and saw...

That we were flying! My ship and all!

I smirked at my sailors – their mutiny haunting them

They stared back at me and laughed surprisingly

I looked up and saw that boy

Struggling free I jumped to the dory below

My ship rose up into the windy sky

I could not get to it, so I started to cry!

The sailors glanced at one another

As if trying to decide something quickly

They finally all agreed to get me

I would have to behead them all though, one at a time

But that shows them what you get

When you put a mutiny on your back
