Roses are an Art

By: only-my-will

An orangey-red haired man worked on his puppets. He was bored, so he didn't pay that much attention to his masterpiece then. Unfortunately, he ended up cutting his finger on one of the blades as a result. All of a sudden, a blonde man pounced on him, knocking him to the ground. "Oh, Sasori-no-danna, you're hurt, un!"

Sasori only grunted, pushed the other man off of his fragile body, and returned to work. "This is why I like my art better Master Sasori, un." The blonde said in a playful, and slightly mother like voice.

"For the love of…and exploding clay animals is a better, safer art, HOW?" Sasori reasoned.

"They are long range tools, as long as your no where near them they're perfectly safe, un."

"I respect you and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, Deidara. But, you make no sense….whatsoever."

"Sasori-Danna…I'm just going to take a walk outside, un." Deidara replied.

And with that he did. Outside, Deidara thought about how silly their arguments had become. So, he went into the fields and started gathering flowers for Sasori.

"Oh, these are pretty! And these! And these too! Ah, I hope Sasori likes them, un!"

Deidara knew nothing about flower arranging, but soon he had a bustling bouquet of mixed flowers. Satisfied, he took his creation back with him to Sasori's room.

"Sasori no Danna! I have flowers, un!"

Sasori eyed the bouquet and then snatched the flowers from his partner. Examining the bunch he said "Deidara, you probably don't know this, but all these flowers you picked are common shinobi plants. Perfect for my puppets"

"Oh no! I picked these flowers to get him away from his art, un!" Deidara thought "Instead, I reminded him of it!"

Deidara started to head out the door to pick another, non-poisonous, bunch of flowers. "Ah, are you going outside again? Bring more wolfs bane. This flower…." Sasori picked up a piece of wolf bane to illustrate his request.

Deidara nodded and went into the fields again. He saw a bunch of daisies and picked those. "At least I know these ones aren't poisonous!" he said.

Then, as if the gods had shined upon that one spot, he spotted one single rose. He wondered what a single rose would be doing, growing in a place like that. As he walked over to it, he thought about how the rose was like his partner. "The rose's petals attract a person, but when they try to pick it, the thorns prick them, and they enjoy sweet pain, un. Like Sasori Danna, un."

"Sasori Danna is so kawaii, but if you try to get him to open his feelings to you, he will simply turn away, un."

Deidara smiled and threw away the daisies. He picked up the single rose and headed back.

When Deidara was back with Sasori, he quickly gave the rose to him. "I didn't get the wolfs bane like you asked, un. But I did get this rose."

Sasori looked at the rose, and actually smiled. "Thank you, Deidara. Come here."

Deidara, surprised, walked over to Sasori. Sasori pulled him in by the cloak and gave the confused blonde a quick kiss on the lips.

"S-Sasori Danna, un!" Deidara exclaimed.

Sasori grinned and said "We may not agree on our forms of art. But there is one thing that nature decided for us: Roses are an Art."
