Chapter 6
The Fairy
The pair landed in another alley still wrapped around each other. Hermione slowly opened her eyes. For a moment she thought they were in Diagon Alley before she realized it was a tad too small and more vacant.
"Where are we?" Hermione asked as she looked around the area. Ginny still hadn't released her waist fully, but Hermione didn't mind. "We are in Holyhead. I've been here a few times with the captain of the Holyhead Harpies, she used to…," Ginny began before Hermione cut her off.
"Ginny! We are in Wales?!" The brunette said in exasperation.
Ginny paused and looked at Hermione as she pulled from the redheads embrace. Hermione looked around and saw a sign behind them that read, "Headley Alley." Hermione walked up to Ginny and with a harsh whisper said, "Ginny! This is almost across the country! That's a dangerous journey even when we aren't drunk!" Hermione said incredulously.
Ginny flashed a sheepish smile and shrugged, the redhead grabbed Hermione's hand and quickly pulled her along into another alley before she could object. Hermione hurried along and soon realized they were in a mixed community. Part muggle, part wizard. The feel of Diagon Alley came from the small area in the town that was purely magic.
Hermione got a bit nervous as she realized they were now in a Wizarding town. Or at least a town that frequented magic. It was definitely not the quiet muggle neighborhood she had planned on. "Ginny?" Hermione began saying quietly as the red head pulled her along, "Is it safe for us to be here?"
Ginny let out a small laugh that didn't make Hermione feel any better. Ginny knew that both of them could handle fiercer foes than most, but she was too intoxicated at the moment to understand the threat Hermione was so scared of.
"I think we will go to the Feisty Fairy," Ginny answered, "It has good music and a dance floor. Unless you want to go down that way to Veela's Village," Ginny smiled back to the brunette holding her hand.
Hermione was too drunk to keep up with Ginny's subtle flirting, "Is it safer there? The Veela place?"
Ginny laughed loudly before she said, "It's a strip club where the only dance floor is a stage, would that be a safer bet to you, Miss Granger?" she teased with a wink as she walked backwards to look at the brunette.
Hermione's eyes went wide, and she planted her feet. Ginny stopped before their hands pulled apart and stared silently at Hermione, wondering what was wrong. "I don't want to go to a strip cub, Ginny!" Hermione insisted as she pulled her hand from Ginny's. "I'm not going to dance on a stage, in front of strangers, in a strange place, especially when I'm not even supposed to be out of bed right now! And I most certainly will NOT take my clothes off!" Hermione's fear gushed out, she looked to Ginny with tears beginning to well.
Ginny smiled apologetically and held up her hands, "Don't worry, Mione, I was just playing. We're going to the Feisty Fairy. Everyone keeps their clothes on in there. That's where I'm taking you. Well, if you still want to go, that is," Ginny said as she held out her open hand to Hermione and tried to charm the brunette with a smile.
The brunette wore a stern look as she took a deep breath to steady herself. That smile made her fear melt, Hermione sighed and smiled lightly before she placed her hand in Ginny's hand, "Alright then, the fiery fairy."
Ginny chuckled before while she looked into the brunettes' eyes, "Feisty," Ginny said with a sultry smile as she leaned down and kissed the back of the brunette's hand.
Hermione blushed and was glad the redhead had turned back around. Ginny continued smiling as she began to lead her old friend down the road. Ginny knew exactly where she needed to go, and she was soon very grateful for that. The redhead fell deep in thought, trying to understand why she couldn't make her heart stop racing.
She felt different tonight.
The two women approached a small building. Hermione wouldn't have realized it was a wizard pub if she hadn't seen the sign. It was a small sign that read, 'The Feisty Fairy,' and below the words there was a fairy with her fists up by her chin and a smile on her face like she was ready to win a fight.
The outside was painted a light green and it was completely silent. Ginny opened the door and Hermione heard music. The redhead stepped through the door and looked back to Hermione, "Don't let go," she smiled and quickly turned back around before Hermione could answer. Ginny led Hermione down a long, black hallway before the pair stepped out into a large room.
Music filled Hermione's ears as they entered into the pub that wasn't so much like a pub. It was a large room filled with a cerulean light that shimmered on the white walls. The floor and ceiling were a dark grey except for a large dance floor in the middle of the floor.
Each end of the pub had a large bar with white counters and more cerulean light shining from behind the glassy silver shelves. All of the bar, the barstools and the booths around the sides were the same shimmering white color as the walls.
Hermione realized that the building was definitely magical, it was much bigger on the inside than it had looked outside and there's no way a muggle pub could keep all that white so sparkly clean.
Ginny began to lead them towards one of the bars and Hermione's heart began to fill with fear again. They took a seat in two of the white barstools and waited for the bartender. Hermione took the opportunity to lean in and half shout at Ginny.
"Ginny, are you sure it's ok to be here? What if we get caught?" Hermione asked leaning close. Ginny shivered at the feeling of warm breath against her neck. She turned towards Hermione and pulled her close in a guise to be heard and put her lips against the brunette's ear. Hermione felt her breath escape her at the touch.
"We are in Wales, Hermione. I doubt we will run into anyone," Ginny said and leaned back with a smile. Hermione felt heat flood her body from Ginny's closeness. In a bit of an aroused blur, the brunette nodded with a sheepish smile.
Ginny smiled widely before she looked up to the approaching bartender. She ordered two glasses of fire whiskey and smiled at Hermione while their drinks were poured. Once the bartender turned to leave, Ginny picked up her glass, smiled and loudly said, "To all fairies! Feisty and Fiery, alike!" Hermione laughed loudly and clinked her glass to Ginny's.
The redhead watched as Hermione took a drink of the fire whiskey. "Whoa!" Hermione laughed as the drink burned in her throat. Ginny smiled and shrugged innocently at her old friend as she sipped her drink.
A short while later the two women were sloshed. They leaned in close as Ginny practically shouted, "The Holyhead Harpies tried to recruit me out of Hogwarts to play on their team!" Hermione drunkenly nodded with intensity while the redhead continued, "I so would have, too, if Harry hadn't asked us to join the ministry. The Harpy Captain brought me to this place a few times. I still get owls from her from time to time at the Auror office. She's always trying to get me to change careers," Ginny laughed, and Hermione joined without knowing why they were laughing.
Hermione had never been so drunk. Without a care for being appropriate or logical, she watched Ginny like she was the only person in the room. It was the most fun Hermione had in years.
They were approximately halfway through a round of drinks when an upbeat song came on. Ginny yelled, "They're playing Jeepster!" then downed her drink and said, "Come on, Mione, I love this song! Let's dance!" Hermione followed suit and felt the fire whiskey burn her throat as she downed the rest of her glass.
Ginny laughed and quickly grabbed her hand and rushed them to the dance floor. They took a spot in the middle of the dance floor and Ginny spun around and began singing the words to Hermione with playful seduction.
"You're so sweet, you're so fine, I want your all and everything just to be mine, cause you're my babe!" Ginny sang as she rolled her hips to the music and put her free hand in the air.
Hermione was frozen for a moment before a smile creeped up on her face. She started conservatively stepping in rhythm closer to her old friend. Ginny pulled her hand and spun her a bit before she caught the brunette in her arms. Ginny began to sing and dance with Hermione pinned in her arms, "You slide so good with bones so fair. You've got the universe reclining in your hair 'cause you're my babe. Yes, you're my love."
Hermione smiled at the silly display and began to let loose and move her hips to the music. The combination of multiple drinks at the pub and the large amount of fire whiskey she had just guzzled was making it hard for her to care much what she looked like. Ginny bit her lip a bit and groaned, still dancing but mostly she watched the brunette beginning to relax and actually move her body.
Ginny found herself moving closer, singing, "Girl, I'm just a jeepster for your love!" The two danced together carelessly for the rest of the song.
The song changed and a tightness grew in Ginny's thighs just watching Hermione move to the music. Slow, seductive, almost hypnotizing. Without even thinking, Ginny moved behind Hermione and began to dance, she put one hand gently on her waist. At first the redhead was a bit nervous, feeling Hermione would protest, but she didn't. The brunette leaned back into her and continued to dance.
The sexy movement and close proximity were setting Ginny on fire with desire for her bookworm friend. They continued their erotic dance through song changes, adjusting to the beat as necessary until Ginny couldn't handle it anymore.
Losing control, a bit, the redhead leaned forward and placed her lips gently on the side of Hermione's neck and shoulder. Ginny began to kiss her lightly. The brunette groaned at the feeling, she lifted her hand up around the taller redhead and slid her hand into the silky red hair.
Ginny took this as encouragement and kissed a little more. Hermione couldn't handle the teasing; she whimpered a bit in the back of her throat and quickly turned around. She was face to face with her childhood friend.
Ginny leaned down just a bit, their lips almost touching. Hermione could feel the redhead's breath against her. The brunette put her hands on Ginny's waist. With a groan, she felt the skin she had craved with her bare hands. "Ginny," Hermione whimpered in need as she leaned in.
Cheers from some drunk wizards pulled Ginny from her erotic haze. The redhead quickly realized she was about to kiss Hermione in a crowded room, she turned her head a bit getting close to Hermione's ear again and whispered, "Not here. Follow me."
Ginny reached for Hermione's hand and, unknowingly, grabbed a spot-on Hermione's wrist that set her damaged nerves on fire. Hermione was instantly ripped from her drunken numbness by the pain, and she jerked her hand from Ginny's grasp with a pained gasp.
The redhead stopped and looked to Hermione, unsure of what had happened. Hermione flashed a quick smile and reached for Ginny's hand with both of her own, then sent a seductive look to Ginny as she resumed eye contact. Ginny smiled, brushed off her confusion and began to lead Hermione away.
Hermione was relieved and hoped Ginny hadn't noticed, Ginny made a mental note of the strange reaction but quickly returned her thoughts to a more pressing matter since Hermione seemed ok.
Ginny pulled her through the crowd and out the back door of the bar. They walked down the street between two buildings where they appeared to be alone. The redhead put her arms around Hermione's waist and pulled them close. Hermione slid her hands around Ginny's neck.
"Are you sure you want to do this, Hermione? We are drunk," Ginny whispered.
Hermione leaned up to give Ginny a small kiss, then she whispered back, "I don't care, I want you."
The redhead leaned in to meet Hermione's waiting lips. Ginny groaned into the kiss. She pushed Hermione back against the wall of the building, the redhead used her tongue to ask for entrance. Hermione immediately allowed Ginny to deepen the kiss.
It was slow and gentle, full of desire but not overly dominating. Ginny's lips were like warm velvet and kissing Ginny set Hermione's insides on fire with an ache beginning to build in her nether regions. The pair continued to indulge themselves in each other's embrace until Hermione didn't think she could handle it anymore.
The brunette pushed against Ginny, she put one hand in the silky red hair and another down the side of her neck. The brunette caressed the soft white skin there, desperately trying to get closer to the person of her newfound desire. One of Ginny's hands was on her back, but the other hand slid down into her jeans a bit and was caressing the skin of her lower back gently.
Ginny had kissed many people both men and women but there was something addictive about Hermione's lips. Something that pulled her in and made her never want to stop. Ginny was just considering seeing if Hermione wanted to go back to one of their flats, when a low voice stopped her cold.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't a couple of ministry mice."
