It's been a while, hasn't it? I have... no clue if anyone actually remembers me or not, but that's not what matters. What is, is that I've decided to write up a similar story again. Granted, it's not the exact same thing, but it follows the premise. Except this time... I'm not even getting Deku or anyone from SMBI, No... I'm going for just All for One and All Might.
Let's see what those two Symbols do, shall we?
Well, I say that, but they don't actually show up this chapter. Chapter 1 only explains how and why they're even in Remnant. Anyway, read on!
Disclaimer: I do not Own Boku no hero academia. That goes fully to Horikoshi. Neither do I own RWBY. That of course goes to Mounty Oum.
''Mankings Imagination has always been vast, unending and always led to trouble at times... when someone hears of a Myth, they will always wonder if it's real or not, and often, the answer is No. Proof or not, if something like that did exist, you wouldn't believe it until you saw them from your own eyes.'' One voice, that of a woman, spoke to someone else.
''But for that lack of answer, they will create their own image of those Myths, be they righteous or wicked. No matter what the Myth is, be it a now-forgotten Beast...or Gods themselves.'' Answered the voice of a Man to the Woman.
''But...of all the Legends, of Myths, of what is believed to not be real by most in Legends, two of those are very much real...'' the woman said with bitterness in her voice.
Neither of them knew that things were about to change Remnant's Fate forever. That things would never be the same.
And it all had to do with Two Brothers.
''Remnant still seems to be in conflict, Brother. At this rate, it may never end.'' An entity of Purely Light spoke. It had a face, making it humanoid, and yet, it had no Mouth but still spoke.
''So that human still has not learned, and may never do so as well.'' The other entity was the opposite. While it followed the same shape, it was no light it gave, but darkness.
However, contrary to its brother, the being of Darkness had an idea swiftly come to mind.
''Perhaps... perhaps we should intervene?''
It was with outrage the being of Light disagreed.
''Absolutely not! We came to an agreement we would never-''
The being of darkness raised a finger.
''Ah, but let me finish first. I never said we should personally intervene, why don't we send...champions?''
The being of Light paused to consider the idea. It was true that both of them tired of the fact Remnant never would be able to give an answer, due to Ozma and Salem's conflict (which was majorly because of the latters fault).
But, should they intervene? The being of Light knew them intervening could make things worse, if the Relics weren't gathered.
Still, it entertained the idea.
''It could work, but those of this Remnant World have...been lackluster, I am uncertain if they will finish things...'' The being answered, skepticism in its voice.
And yet, the being of Darkness had thought of that.
''Ah, but what if we take champions from another world?''
''From Another World? Brother, you do realize how chaotic things could get if we choose champions from another world?''
''Ah, ah, how about we choose champions from that world?'' The being of Darkness suggested.
That world... it didn't even take a second to know what the being of Darkness, Light's very brother, meant.
''That world? We...we could, but it would be a risk...'' The being of Light replied with uncertainty.
''We have nudged that world with just one influence, compared to that Remnant of a World we once made, that other project had us barely involved. We didn't even create that world until our involvement. And nonetheless, we did something to that one.''
The being of Light remembered that day way. For a world that had already existed long ago, they did but only one small change.
They modified their Magic, and gave it another form entirely, so different it could not be called Magic. The term used in that World was Quirks, if the God remembered correctly.
It was a test of theirs, and even they didn't know how far those Quirks would go. But so far, it was a success.
''But then... who would we choose? There are plenty of people we could choose, but I do not wish to disturb things more with how uninvolved in that world we were.'' The God of Light spoke.
''Oh, trust me brother. I have a very good idea I'm sure you will like...''
On that day, the Brother Gods came to a decision. And it would change Remnants Fate until its very end.
If it would bring it Dawn or Dusk... well, only time would tell.
For there to be a Hero, there has to be a Villain.
It's a never-ending Duality. One cannot exist without the Other. Or else, it would not be a Hero or Villain.
But, what happens when that Duality is brought into a World where Heroes and Villains don't quite exist. Where the world is more grey?
It was a question the Brother Gods had wondered, as they observed their two candidates.
''Both don't... look too well.'' The God of Light comments. Truly, he was surprised either of them were alive.
Last he knew of humans, the wounds they took should have ended them.
''And that's one reason why I thought those two would do well. Tenacious, aren't they? Death won't claim them so easily.'' The God of Darkness saw that, as a blessing. Stubborn until the end, just what they needed.
''While I would agree. We would be bringing them weakened. One has a Quirk that's merely Embers, and the other has a Copy of it.'' his own champion would end up being powerless over time, losing what remained of his Quirk.
''Even better.'' The God of Darkness says, much to his curiosity, ''It will force them to act smart. They simply have to do everything they can to remedy with that problem, in their situation. Human Instinct is quite a sight to behold. And tell me, aren't you curious to see how much their very beings would adapt to Remnant?''
The God of Light couldn't disagree, especially because curiosity was a factor that both of them heavily held. Could they evolve as much as the people of Remnant had done? Or were they stuck as they were?
Aura and Semblance.
Could they adapt? Just because they were amongst the Pinnacle of what Mankind had to offer in that World.
One was a Symbol of Peace, another a Symbol of Evil.
Would they be mere men, at the end of the day, or legends who surpassed their physical limits and surpassed what was once thought to be their Prime?
Truly, he was very curious.
''I will not say no, but I do still have doubts, Brother.'' it still did not help that All Might's power would dwindle, no matter what.
His brother gave him a look.
''Then help him, if you're that bothered.'' except Light knew they were already breaking enough Rules as is.
''If he cannot adapt, I will help him keep those Embers in a permanent manner.'' he decides on that. No more or less.
Dark nodded, and Light decided it was now time to begin.
''Then let us begin.''
In the end, the Brother Gods were right. This would end up ending things once and for all. But if it was good or bad... well, it remained to be seen.
In two different places, Symbols vanished from where they had resided.
For the Symbol of Peace, it was in the middle of his sleep. He had just returned to his home after working at UA, and immediately went to rest. Fully expecting to wake up the next day at home, head back to work and help people if need be.
For the Symbol of Evil, it was similar enough to All Might. Except he was proceeding to rest only now, instead of already being asleep. His mind had just shut off for slumber to take him.
At the exact same time, Light engulfed them both entirely, vanishing from where they had been situated.
This disappearance would have long-term consequences on Earth, but that wasn't the story the Gods focused on. No, they instead moved their sight to Remnant...
The God of Light and God of Darkness watched, all the while, as both All Might and All for One were moved to their designated locations in Remnant.
''Well then, brother... let us see how those Symbols act. Let's see if they can bring this to an end, finally.''
The Darkness spoke, but Light only watched and muttered his own words.
''I hope so, brother. I certainly hope so...''
And now, they watched.
And so, we end Chapter 1 out of 3. And yes, I'm not planning anything too long. Maybe I'll do a Fourth chapter to link up how they reach Canon, but considering the other stories I have, 4 is the safest thing I can do.
This is the Prologue, setting in exactly how All Might and All for One end up in Remnant, alongside a POV from the Brother Gods, who I hope aren't too OOC for being the very reason those two end up here at all. Chapters 2 and 3 are going to be about All Might and All for One. Not sure in which order I'll go for, but we're getting both of their POV, and if I decide I should add more, then I'll add Chapter 4 to see how they end up affecting Canon.
Anyway, I hope you've all enjoyed the start of Two Symbols: Peace and Conflict! I will see you all next time!
