Is Out the Right Way to Go?

by BEWD Sorcerer

Disclay ... meh: Non-owningness of DOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM! XP

AN: I'm sorry! These plot bunnies just keep attacking me! Hopefully, they won't die on me.

That was it. Too much. Too many. Too soon.

Something had to be done.

Everyone had to leave. No one could be close to him. He had to shut everything else out. Voldemort must die. No one could be close to him. No one could be anything more than a passing acquaintance. He couldn't care for anyone. The Corpse Munchers would go down, including Bellatrix, especially Bellatrix.

Voldemort must die.

Sirius was in hiding because of Voldemort.

Voldemort must die.

He must be keeping others from telling him that if only he would pull back the Veil, there would be Sirius. Why wouldn't they just let him out? Sirius must be very bored just listening to whispers all day and night. He had to go save Sirius, but first he had to make sure no one would stop him.

Voldemort must die or help him get back Sirius. To Hell with the Wizarding world. Nothing mattered except getting Sirius back. That's why he was laying down right now. That's why he was preparing to contact Voldemort; he would call out and hopefully that call would be answered.

Voldemort!

Voldemort, answer me! I know you can hear me! Annoyance rose.

Answer me! Anger mixed with the annoyance. How dare he ignore me!

What do you want! You're giving me a headache. Responding annoyance filtered through their link.

Give me Sirius-

I don't have him! He went behind the Veil from what I heard. More annoyance peppered with a hint of- what was that?

I know. Find a way to get me Sirius and I'll give you the world.

... why? Disbelief sprouted, then realization and more annoyance. Did you love him? Are you all weepy and mopey now that your last semblance of family is gone? Anger and annoyance filtered in a huff.

You have no family; I'm not that different from you. I want my godfather and I want to live with my family undisturbed.

And you would give up the world for one person? He was considering it.

...yes.

You won't try to play hero and save them?

I just want my family.

Obviously your godfather... anyone else?

You'd let me? Disbelief, he couldn't help it; it was too easy.

A few would not leave the war because that would mean others would die in their place.

Can you really get me my godfather back?

Only now you ask that question. Amusement tickled across his senses. I find it interesting that you immediately contacted me as if I were the only one who could possibly know how to retrieve Sirius Black.

Dumbledore and the rest of the Order lied to me. They said he was dead, but they lied! He's just beyond the Veil. If I had just gone and pulled back the Veil, he would have been there. Why wouldn't they let me go get him so we could leave together?

I vaguely remember coming across some mention of a mystical Veil and its properties and workings. A little ritual will allow us to pull back the Veil and retrieve your godfather for you. Sad understanding washed over Harry from the other side of the link. I'll set some of my Death Eaters to research it. Find those who would leave with you without alerting Dumbledore; he's not going to be happy when you vanish. You being the Savior of the Wizarding World, the Boy-Who-Lived, the Chosen One, Dumbledore's Golden Boy. Teasing amusement wafted over him.

Quit. I hate those names.

Of course. Now choose your family. Warmth caressed him; he didn't recognize what the feeling was.

Alright. Thank you.

Just go. Suddenly the warmth vanished, leaving him shivering on his bed, awake and alone.

AN: Eheh. sweatdrop It just attacked me; I swear! T.T

I'm working on the fourth chapter of What to do? and the second of Unexpected Changes. There is also another story that requires all my slippery skills to get around the cemented facts of the books. I might put up teasers of what's going to happen in the story. They'll be these one-pagers I have in this notebook that I'm using as my base for notes on my fanfictions. I should be updating soon!
