"Hands up! Now!" Someone in the helicopter said.

"What's the plan man?" Mikey asked.

"Run!" Leo said.

In a flash, they all bolted off. Which resulted in them being shot at. They had to dodge the shots as they ran.

Descending onto the streets, they continued to try to evade the Cyclonian Police giving chase.

"We can't stay in the streets! We'll get picked apart!" Leo said.

They run behind an abandoned building. But they couldn't hide for long. The helicopter had shone the searchlight on them and found them again and began to start shooting.

"We need to get underground. But first we need to deal with that helicopter." Leo said.

"Give me enough time for a shot and I should be able to make it!" Casey said.

"Hey! Stop!" A wandering guard said. He attempted to stun them with a scepter shot but ended up hitting an innocent bystander instead.

They took a right. They tripped up the guard that was chasing them. The problem was, more guards were after them now. Casey quickly took the scepter the guard they downed had.

They continued to run, but to avoid anymore bystanders from getting caught in the crossfire, April turned and pushed the guards back. Now was the problem of the helicopter.

"Casey!" April said.

"Huh?" Casey said, confused.

"The scepter! Use the scepter!" Donnie said.

Casey tried his best to hit the searchlight. It took two shots to score the hit he needed. But he was hit too.

"Casey!" April and the others said simultaneously.

"Heh… it worked." Casey said in a disoriented manner before going unconscious.

Raph picked him up.

They ran to an alley. Donnie threw one of his trusty smoke bombs to cover them as the helicopter still attempted to give chase.

When the smoke disappeared, they were gone. The manhole there moved slightly, but it wasn't enough for the men inside the helicopters or the two skimmers beside them to see from their distance away in the air.

The Sewers

"Casey. Casey!" April said, trying to shake him awake.

"Come on! Wake up man!" Mikey said, shaking him wildly before slapping him a couple of times.

"Mikey!" Raph said.

"What, you got a better idea for getting the guy up?" Mikey asked him.

"No. What I do know is that we're in this mess because of you and your girlfriend here!" Raph said.

"Look bro, you can say whatever you want about me, but leave Renet out of this!" Mikey said, getting up to Raph.

"Out of this? We wouldn't be in this if it wasn't for you!" Raph said.

"Dude, I already said it was my fault! What more do you want?" Mikey said.

"You know what I want? I want a pizza! I want to be able to watch DASY or some other show. I wanna be able to lift some weights. Play pinball on the laptop Donnie made for me. But you know why I can't do that? Because you decided to go touching stuff that doesn't belong to you without asking." Raph said, poking him with a finger in his chest each time he finished a sentence.

"I mean think about it! How many times have we gotten into trouble because of your stupid ideas? When you decided to not only befriend Chris Bradford, but tell the guy everything you know about us! Where we live, everything! The Shredder wouldn't have known about us or Master Splinter if it wasn't for you! When you made Donnie dumb and revived two of our enemies. And probably several other times I can't think of right now." Raph said.

"And now, New York City is taken over by the Cyclonians, because of….whatever Renet did to cause all this to happen!" Raph said. Renet closed her eyes in shame.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen. I just wanted to-" Renet said before she was interrupted by Raph.

"Just wanted to what? Go on another adventure? At the expense of other people? Just like Mikey did when he sent us to Atmos in the first place? You literally have the power to control one of the most important things in the universe and you use it in the worst ways possible." Raph said, still angry.

"Back off man!" Mikey said, pushing him back. Raph pushes him. "Think about all of the times you got angry and it got us into trouble!"

Raph pushes him harder. "Struck a nerve huh?" Mikey said, mocking him.

Raph growls in anger and was about to do something he might regret later had Leo not come between them.

"Enough! Blaming each other isn't going to get us anywhere! Now is the time for solutions! If we want a peaceful New York again, it's not going to happen like this." Leo said.

"Leo-" Raph started before being interrupted.

"Drop it, Raph." Leo said, sternly, showing that it wasn't a request.

"No, I'm not-" Raph said before being interrupted again.

"I said. Drop it." Leo said, even more stern than last time, ready for a possible physical confrontation with Raph.

Raph grunts before shaking his head. "I'm gonna go find the lair. If it's still here." Raph said, walking away.

"Shh!" April said.

"Raph!" April said, low.

"If you're trying to convince me to issue some sort of apology- mmphmm" Raph started before his mouth was covered by April who ran after him to do so.

"Listen." April whispered, pointing upward. She then takes her other hand off his mouth.

"No, I'm not crazy. They were here and then they were gone." They heard someone say above them after listening closely.

City Streets Above Ground

"Where could they have gone? They can't have just disappeared." A Cyclonian Guard said.

"I don't know. We chased them, but then we saw nothing but smoke. When it cleared, they were nowhere to be found." The officer that talked earlier said.

"You must have been seeing things. I refuse to believe they would make themselves that easy of a target in the first place with the story you told me earlier. Invest some of that money you put into donuts into glasses. Don't waste our time with some bogus story like that again." The Cyclonian Guard said before getting inside the skimmer and flying off.

"Earth officers." The Guard said to himself as he was in the air. Although he was low ranking himself, it's no secret that the officers there were newer recruits to the Cyclonian Empire compared to the original forces from Atmos. Many guards use their seniority as a form of superiority over the officers, while others don't really care for the differences in seniority, being just as friendly to them as they are to their fellow Cyclonian allies.

The Sewers

"Well, the good news is they don't know we're down here." Donnie said.

"But if we stay here, there's always the chance they could find us and we'll have to fix the lair again. We'll never be truly safe." Leo said.

"Antonio's Pizza-Rama, we could go there." April suggested.

"Good idea." Leo said.

They quietly snuck through the sewers, remembering that when they were down in the sewers when the Kraang took over New York, they placed a drone in the lair to shoot any living thing it finds. Along with finding a Splinter whose mind was gone.

They exited through the closest manhole to the pizza restaurant.

"There it is!" Mikey whispered. They made their way closer to the restaurant heading towards a building right next to it. In the alley, only a dumpster was present.

Just then, Casey was beginning to come to.

"Oh man. Is this how it feels when batteries are charged? Because that did not feel good." Casey said, a little too loud, to which the others had let him know that.

"Lower your voice Casey." Donnie whispered.

"Who's there?" A guard said, overhearing Casey talking.

Because they were in an alley, they didn't have that many options to hide. Other than the dumpster. Which they all looked at.

"Can I go back to sleep now?" Casey asked, knowing where Leo was headed when they saw it. When he woke up, this was NOT the first thing he was expecting to do.

"Just get in." Leo said.

The turtles were the first to get in the dumpster. Casey next, along with April and Renet, with Renet being the most reluctant to get in. But she knew that she had no choice but to get in it if they were going to avoid getting caught.

The guard eventually got to where the turtles were, looking around, scepter in hand.

When he said this, a raccoon showed up from inside a smaller trash can, on the opposite side of where the turtles were hiding in the large dumpster. It had an apple core in its mouth.

He saw it begin to move away from the trashcan, dropping the core onto the ground.

The guard shrugged and then began to walk away.

Leo opened the dumpster lid a little, just enough to be able to peek out of it.

"Is the coast clear?" Donnie asked.

"Yeah, we're good." Leo said. Before they could open the top all the way, the raccoon from earlier decided to move to the dumpster next.

Leo quickly closed the dumpster lid in an attempt to convince the raccoon to leave. Which proved to be futile, as the raccoon decided to be persistent and open it.

"No! Go away! Shoo! You'll get us caught!" Renet said to it.

"Uh, raccoons can't talk." Raph said, low.

But the raccoon continued to try to pry its way into the dumpster. Casey pushed it out, and it growled in retaliation.

"Hey, you want the moldy pizza?" Mikey said, getting its attention. It turned its head when it saw the pizza out the corner of its eye.

"Well, here you go! Go get it!" Mikey said, throwing the pizza away, although it was a little too hard. It was almost out into the open. The raccoon went after it.

"Phew, that was a close one." Mikey said.

"Yeah, good job Mikey." Leo said.

They carefully get out of the dumpster, being sure not to open the lid too hard and making too much noise.

April, with a disgusted look on her face takes a banana peel off her hair and tosses it.

Renet smells herself in disgust.

They enter the building and then turn on the lights. They were closed for the night. They find different places to sit throughout the Pizzeria.

"Alright, now that we're here, we can start coming up with a plan to take back New York." Casey said, fist in hand, already itching for a fight.

"Before we can come up with anything, we need answers." Leo said. "Renet, what exactly did you do to cause all of this?"

"I'll start from the beginning." Renet says, taking a deep breath. "I had just heard of the amazing adventures you had in different worlds. The Demon Realm, with a girl called Luz and other versions of yourselves, and most recently, your adventure in Atmos. When I heard this, I was excited to see what you were guys were up to after a long duration of peace. Of course, I didn't do anything to interfere with you guys' adventures. I watched from a distance." Renet explained.

Flashback to "Demons, Witches, and Turtles, Oh My!"

"IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MANY OF YOU THERE ARE! YOU ARE ALL STILL ANTS! AND BUGS ARE TO BE SQUASHED!" Shredbot said.

"We came up with a plan that may be able to stop the Shredbot just before you guys got here." Donny03 said.

"Krang said that the molecular amplification chip it uses to grow in size uses more power. We may be able to defeat it by overloading its systems." Donatello said.

"Karai?" Leo12 said.

"Leo?" Karai said.

They both hugged.

From a distance where no one could notice her, Renet was watching the battle.

Flashback to "Sky Knights in a Half Shell"

"Cool! Nunchuckarangs! Nunchakurangs? Gonna have to come up with a better name." Mikey said.

They got in their Skimmers and immediately took off. Leo and Raph got to the Condor to take in Aerrow and Piper.

But it wasn't long until the battle took to the skies. The Dark Ace, Ravess and Snipe, backed up by several Cyclonians were not about to give up so easily.

Donnie, Mikey, Casey and April were able to hold their own against the normal Cyclonian forces. It would be the more experienced pilots Ravess, Snipe and especially the Dark Ace that would really cause problems for them. Finn and Snipe were the first two experiences pilots to go down, trading. Finn was able to get a perfect shot on Snipe's skimmer, taking out its engine while Snipe barreled into his skimmer with his mace as Finn was celebrating as he was going down. Finn fell on Mikey's Skimmer, crotch first, giving a high-pitched greeting.

Renet, from a distance observed this battle as well.

"The first trip to the Demon Realm turned out okay. But the second, not so much. Again, I was pretty far from where the battle was. But not far enough it would seem." Renet explained.

Flashback to "Sky Knights in a Half Shell"(Altered)

Junko continues to strike down Cyclonians left and right. He sends one of them spiraling out of control. The spiraling Cylconian pilot almost flies into an unsuspecting Renet. In a frenzy, the pilot hits the parachute. Renet however, loses her focus after the scare and loses the Time Scepter.

"Oh no!" Renet said. She continues to descend, eventually able to catch up to the Scepter.

Leo began the healing hands technique to rid them of their state of paralysis.

"Gree, Peo, Tou, Sha, Kai, Jin, Retsu." Leo started the mantra.

April and the others would continue to try to shake off Ravess and the Dark Ace.

"Zen, Go, Son, Nei, Go, Ju, Son, Ju, Go, So, Yel, Si, Cuck."

As Mikey flew in his Skimmer, Finn shot any Cyclonians he saw.

Casey was hitting Cyclonian skimmers left and right with his club.

"Go, Ju, Son, Kai, Jin, Retsu, Zai, Zen, Gree, Peo, Neo, Go."

Ravess shot once at April but missed. She tried again. Another miss. This time, she tried another shot but it was reflected back at Ravess, causing her to go down.

"Tou, Sha, Dre, Son, Gree."

Dark Ace notices this. "No matter. I can finish you all myself!" He said, pulling out his blade, powered up by the enhancement stone.

However, seeing Renet blow right by him distracted him. He looked in her direction, but by the time he did so, she was already gone. There was nothing left but a portal that had closed after a couple of seconds. What he didn't notice was that something had fallen out of it.

"Hey Dark Ace!" Casey said. "Bring it on!" Casey said, issuing a challenge.

"Bold, but foolish." Dark Ace said.

Earth, Future

"Oh, that was such a disaster." Renet said, putting her hands in her face for a second before taking them off after the second passed. She was in pain a little after a stray skimmer shot hit her, but that was the least of her worries at the moment.

Present Time

"Disaster wouldn't be the right word to describe what happened after I find out what happened next." Renet told them.

"I was about to return home, when I realized my emergency time module was missing." Renet said.

"I could have went back and opened a portal to attempt to retrieve it. But the problem was, I only had enough juice for one more time jump." Renet explained. "So I decided to use the last bit of energy left to seek the Turtle Warriors for help."

"And from the looks of things right now I might have made the right decision." Renet said.

"If you used the rest of the time scepter energy to get here, that means..." Leo said, standing up.

"I'm stuck here. We'll have to figure out a way to fix this without the help of the scepter. At least until I can get it recharged." Renet said.

"Did you ever think of, I don't know, calling with the holoprojector you gave Mikey?" Raph asked, still bitter at Renet.

"I know, I know. But I wanted to see the adventure you guys had for myself." Renet said.

"Yeah and look where that got us. And now we can't even rely on you helping us with your scepter because you used the last of its power. It's about as useful as Donnie's staff!" Raph said, thumbing at said staff.

"Hey!" Donnie said, offended.

"You want a word to describe what's happening now? A clusterf-" Raph said in anger and frustration before being interrupted by Leo, who raised his hand, signaling enough.

"If the Cyclonians were able to change history, then they had to have gotten their hands on the emergency time module." Leo said.

"So why not just travel back to where you lost it and then take it back?" Casey suggested.

"It isn't that simple. If we do that, there's a chance we can make things even worse. We can't interfere with history. That includes possibly meeting your past selves." Renet said.

"Then we'll have to be preventative then." Leo said.

"Like we did with Savanti Romero. We went to stop him before he recruited his army. Although it failed in our first few attempts, we still were able to stop him." Donnie said.

"Right. That'd be a completely aweing plan, but, my scepter's still not charged." Renet said.

"Then we'll need to-" Leo started.

"Stop!" A voice said, entering the room. He was surrounded by several other familiar faces.

In the name of the Cyclonian Empire, you're under arrest." The voice continued. It was from someone with red hair, and a voice all too familiar to the six out of the seven already there. The exception being Renet. It was Aerrow, he was grinning as he pointed the red crystal powered scepter at them.

Atmos, Past; Post "Sky Knights in a Half Shell"

A cyclonian guard picks up a silver canister. "Huh." He said, with curiosity.

"What you got there?" A fellow guard asked.

"Don't know." The guard said, with the canister in his hand said, scratching his head. He had a large frame and a bit of hair on his chin.

"Maybe we should take it back to Cyclonis?" The other guard suggested.

"Good idea, maybe it'll save our skins from the Dark Ace." The larger guard said, knowing that they were going to get chewed out by the ex-Sky Knight.

Cylonia

"Idiots! All of you!" Dark Ace said, scolding a line of Cyclonian pilots and troopers. Ravess and Snipe were there beside the Dark Ace, hands tied behind their back but were silent.

"The Storm Hawks got what they wanted. And the worst part was, we don't even know what it was they were after." The Dark Ace said, pacing in front of them with anger.

A guard raised his hand. It was the larger guard that found the canister. "Uh, sir?" The guard said.

"What. Is it?" The Dark Ace said. venom in his voice. He hated to be interrupted unless it was for something important, especially now since he needed release his frustration on someone. With the Storm Hawks not being here, the Cyclonian troopers were the unlucky target.

"We found this. We thought it might be of interest to you and Master Cyclonis." He said. Dark Ace takes the canister. He studies it for a moment. Unsure of what to do, he tosses it to Ravess, who bobbles it a little but quickly catches it to try to regain her usual cool composure.

"Take this to Master Cyclonis. This might be useful." Dark Ace said. Ravess nods and leaves.

Throne Room

Ravess enters the room. She bows.

"You may stand." Cyclonis said, turning around on her throne. Ravess follows her instructions.

"I already know of your failure. Involving the Storm Hawks. What do you have to spare me from punishing you here and now?" Cyclonis asked.

"One of our pilots found this. We believe that it may be of interest to you." Ravess said, bowing as she held it out. The canister levitates from her hands. Ravess rises back up.

"Depending on its usefulness, you might have avoided punishment. You may leave now." Cyclonis said. Ravess did not need to be told twice. She leaves.

Master Cyclonis turns her throne back around, looking at the canister with deep curiosity.

"What secrets do you have for me?" Master Cyclonis said out loud as it continued to levitate in front of her.
