Ch 7
After getting Makkari, the Eternals were split up on what to do with Tiamut. Ikaris didn't want to fight the Celestials so he was against the Eternals and Sprite went with him because she loved him. Ikaris had also killed Ajak by sending her into the Deviants. Kingo also didn't want to stop Tiamut but didn't want to fight his friends so he bowed out of the remaining Eternals went to an island in the Indian Ocean where the Emergence was going to happen and were fighting Ikaris and Sprite. Kro was also there but he just wanted to kill everyone else. Sersi, Thena, and Makkari lended their energy to Druig for him to try to put Tiamut to sleep but Ikaris blasted Druig away with his eye beams, knocking him out. Makkari charged at Ikaris with his superspeed, dodging his eye beams and punching and kicking from all angles until Ikaris grabbed Makkari by the arm and threw her aside before blasting her back with eye beams.
"Enough!" Ikaris said.
Sersi went to stop Tiamut from growing out of Earth as his hand began to emerge. Ikaris aimed his eye beams at Sersi but Phastos made himself two energy gauntlets and fired energy beams at Ikaris, sending him flying. Ikaris got back up and fired his eye beams but Phastos flung energy discs at Ikaris which flew at him from all directions and battered him up before returning to their creator. Ikaris saw that he wasn't getting anywhere with this fight and tried to fly over to Sersi's position.
"Oh, no you don't." Phastos said.
He made an energy whip, tied up Ikaris, and yanked him down. More energy whips sprang up and tied Ikaris to the ground.
"Let go of me!" Ikaris said.
"I don't think so. I don't know about you but this is really satisfying." Phastos said. "I've been waiting to clip your wings for a long time, Ikaris."
Sprite blocked Sersi who learned that Sprite hated being with humans because she wanted to be one herself and Sprite stabbed Sersi with a dagger but Druig knocked her out by throwing a rock at her.
In a cave, Thena was fighting Kro, blocking his tentacle slashes and punches and attacking back with her energy sword and shield. Thena was affected by mahd wy'ry and Kro tried to trick her by saying the same lines that Gilgamesh said and it restored Thena back to normal but she sliced Kro in half before he could absorb her power. Ikaris broke free of Phastos' energy whips but couldn't bring himself to kill Sersi because of his love for her before he lent Sersi her energy with the other Eternals and Sersi used the energy to kill Tiamut by turning the Celestial into marble.
"I'm sorry." Ikaris said.
"I know." Sersi replied.
Then Ikaris flew into the sun, taking his own life and Sersi turned Sprite into a normal human. The Eternals had won.
