A/N: Here's Chapter 48!
Previously on Poké Rangers: Relic Hunters…
Seb and the others destroyed the Ranger Slayers. While all of that was going on, Jake had a plan to get the crown for himself by destroying Team Dracos. Using Silva as a sacrifice, the Green Orb activated the Three Headed Dragon, which contains the final jewel. The rangers faced Team Magma, knowing they were looking for it, only for Lamar to be near his death. The rangers, as well as their allies, Etna, Marianne, Camille and Joe, stood together to have revenge. Upon battling, Courtney was defeated. However, Lamar was alive to find the artifact and face Tabitha and Maxie, only for the dragon to choose him to be a part of Jake's plan. Now, Team Magma has the last jewel…

Chapter 48: Jake vs. Lamar
Lamar squirmed as he was sprawled all over the ground with the artifact in hand. A black aura surrounded him as he was screaming for dear life. The rangers looked at each other as Rachel tried to walk over. As she went to touch the artifact, a red shockwave surrounded him as Rachel flew across, landing on the ground. Rachel fell on her back as Zander and the others met up. Rachel tried to get up, only for Etna to help her. Etna turned around, seeing the black and reddish aura surrounding him.
"How?" asked Rachel. Maxie laughed as he looked at Tabitha. Tabitha shook his head as he was looking at his leader. Maxie nodded as he gave him the order. Tabitha grinned as he was walking toward the artifact. His hand went to reach for the artifact as Tabitha snarled, looking at Lamar's eyes.
"… Well, good luck with that!" he said.
As he went to grab the artifact, a green flash of energy struck across. Tabitha fell across as he landed on the ground, faceplanting, he looked up to see Jake in front of him. Jake turned around as Tabitha looked up in surprise.
"You little…," he said.
Jake stretched out his saber. An emerald aura surrounded it as he cut across, slashing Tabitha. Tabitha struggled as he stumbled. Tabitha landed on the ground as he stood in pain. He turned around as he went to grab Lamar.
"JAKE!"
Seb and the others started dashing toward them. Quickly, Jake grabbed Lamar off the ground and put him over his shoulder. He stretched out his sword.
"If you want your friend alive, you will go no further," said Jake.
"What do you mean?" asked Seb.
"The Three Headed Dragon… is cursed to those who have good in their heart, Seb… I knew Lamar had darkness in him. It was only a matter of time he touched it… and now… he should be ready," said Jake.
Immediately, a flash of blue light surrounded Lamar as an explosion appeared. His body flew across as Lamar landed on the ground. Lamar's eyes opened as he walked toward the team. He wore a black hoodie with blue and black sweatpants. He had a blue bandana across his head as his eyes began to glow red. His fists had black fingerless gloves as he looked at them.
"Lamar…," said Rachel.
Lamar snapped his fingers. Immediately, explosions surrounded the whole battlefield. Lamar then turned around as he used his hands. A black and red energy pulse, emerged, striking Tabitha and Maxie. Tabitha turned around as Lamar jumped up, throwing a sidekick at his face. Tabitha turned around as he spun around. Maxie turned around as he grabbed his saber. Upon ready to cut him across, Lamar grabbed the saber and used his elbow to break it in half. Maxie turned around in response as he looked at Lamar. Lamar hissed as he threw a punch. Maxie was hit in the face as explosions surrounded his face. Smoke appeared as he saw cracks in his face, looking at Lamar, "How?"
"Well…," said Lamar, "That's a secret you will never know."
Jake grinned as he walked over toward him. He was pleased as he looked at Lamar, "Now, Lamar. Let's go work on rebuilding Team Dracos."
Lamar laughed as he looked at him, "Who said I wanted to work with you?"
Walking over, he turned to Tabitha. Tabitha looked up as he had the red jewel. Lamar grinned as he grabbed the jewel. The rangers were hesitant as Lamar grinned, "Now, if you don't mind… I believe I have a crown to find for myself."
Seb walked over as he turned to him, "Lamar, its ours."
Lamar laughed, "Not anymore, Red."
Lamar turned around as he looked at Jake. Throwing the jewel, Jake grabbed it as he turned to Lamar, "You can defeat the rangers if you want… we have the other four jewels. I'm not dealing with it."
"Well," said Jake, turning around, "Another time."
In a flash of light, Jake disappeared without a trace. Maxie and Tabitha turned around as they retreated from the attack. The others met up as they were surprised at what was going on. Not expecting Lamar to go all over the place, it definitely made the rangers question Lamar.
"So," said Rachel, "Why Lamar?"
"That's a question to figure out at headquarters," said Seb, "But, with Jake having the jewel… we need to secure things."
"Agreed," said Grace.
"Something is off with him, though," said Cedric, walking away.
A few hours later…
"YOU LET JAKE HAVE THE JEWEL?" asked Max.
The team sat down in a circle, regrettably as they were looking at Max. Max turned around as he looked at Jack. Jack turned around as he looked at them, "You do know that jewel will trace it back here."
"I know," said Rachel, looking at him, "But, Lamar has turned evil."
Jack looked up, in disbelief, "He was just here."
"Yeah… he snuck out," said Max, looking at Jack, "His wounds weren't healed up. I was surprised he was able to go out and fight."
Urara turned around as she looked at them, "Well, here's my issue. How did that Three Headed Dragon consume him? Apparently, he had such a good heart that he was cursed."
"And how did Jake play a role?" asked Cedric.
Seb shook his head as he looked at them, "I should've known."
Everyone looked up as the rangers were surprised. Etna, Camille, Marianne and Joe were also kind of confused as Seb stood up to turn to him. Seb took a deep breath as he went to speak, "I remember when Jake fought Lamar for the first time outside in Verdanturf Town…"
"Verdanturf Town?" asked Rachel.
"Remember the battle of the Eon Dolls?" asked Seb.
"Yeah," said Rachel.
Seb turned around as he sat down and looked at the team, "Remember, Jake and Lamar go way back. Lamar's family was almost killed by Jake when he was a former Team Rocket Executive."
"Wait…," said Urara, thinking about it, "I do remember now… he even mentioned him once prior to this. We were exchanging stories about Justen and Jake. How they were both insane and evil people."
"Jake is on the warpath to kill Lamar," said Seb, looking at him, "He knew about the Three Headed Dragon. He knew one of us would capture it and become consumed by the power."
"So… he expected Lamar to be controlled," said Rachel, turning to him. Seb nodded. Zander then turned around, "So… when he was most vulnerable…"
"Precisely," said Seb, "Jake was just waiting for the opportune moment. Also, Lamar mentioned something that Maxie mentioned to him when Rachel handled the other artifact that had the fourth jewel."
Rachel looked up as she turned to him, "You mean… the Fire Heart? I do remember now. He did say something about it."
Camille turned around as she went to speak, "Pardon me, but if that is true… then Jake is after more than the crown."
"Yes…," said Seb, looking at Camille, "Camille, it wouldn't be surprising that once Lamar is fully consumed, Jake will not also kill him, but will come here to steal the artifacts and the crown. If he does…"
The rangers stood there in silence. Joe turned around as he looked at the others, "Well, isn't there a way to hide the artifacts and crown at a difficult location?"
"Not necessarily," said Grace, "The last jewel shows the direction of the crown if all four are present."
Joe turned around, "Well… I have a feeling he may be after more than the crown too."
"What's with your theories?" asked Rachel, looking at them, "Team Magma is down to two members and sadly Silva is defeated… the Slayers are gone. There is literally only a handful of enemies left."
"Well," said Joe, looking at the newspaper, "While we were dealing with Maxie, someone stole the Red and Blue Orb at Mt. Pyre… and then someone destroyed the Salamence Statue with the Green Orb again."
"Again with the orbs?" asked Seb.
Max's eyes grew as he looked at his book. He turned around as he went to the computer. He turned around as he looked at the Red Orb, Blue Orb and Green Orb. He then turned around as he saw different symbols on them: The Omega, Alpha and Delta symbols were glowing as he turned to the weapons. He then saw the crown as well.
"This is bad…," said Max, "We need to find Lamar as soon as possible. We need to secure the orbs as well."
"Why?" asked Seb.
"The three orbs are going to be fused together… if done right. Using a shadowy force, an ominous thing can happen to level the region to the ground," said Max, looking at the diagram, showing the team. Red and blue waves were shown, "The Three Headed Dragon is not looking to consume someone in darkness. Rather, unleash someone's own darkness that has a good heart. Sacrifice that person with the dragon, a whole ritual can begin."
Rachel looked up as she turned to them, "Lamar is the sacrifice and he doesn't even know. He has super powers that can also blow this region up."
The rangers looked at her silently as she went to get up. She then sat down as she was looking at them, "Well, it would be best to track him. He should still have his morpher."
Meanwhile…
"HA!"
A few statues were cut across in half as Jake was sitting down with his saber. He was wearing green and black athletic pants as he was breathing heavily. His eyes were looking at another statue. Stretching the sword across, an emerald aura surrounded with black energy.
"Draconic Destruction!"
Creating a green diagonal slash line, the statue exploded in front of him. He turned around as he looked at the hideout. He turned around, noticing how barren it was. He walked inside as he was looking at the Three Headed Dragon, which stood on the throne of where Silva once sat down. His eyes were glowing bright green as he stretched his hand out. Touching the statue, violet and navy electrical charges surrounded it as his eyes opened. Darkness was surrounding his body as he opened his mouth, roaring. Navy electrical charges surrounded the Dracos Hideout as the main foundation began to collapse. Beams fell as explosions surrounded him. As everything collapsed around him, he laughed as he was looking at the Three Headed Dragon. Grabbing it, he looked at it.
"More… I need more!" shouted Jake, "Sacrificing Lamar will be my opportunity! He joins me… I am invincible!"
He looked to his left, hearing something within the bushes from a mile away. He grinned as he withdrew his sword. In a flash of green light, a saber was coming straight toward him. Jake spun around as he blocked the saber and grabbed the person in front of him. More or less, hugging the person with laughter. Revealing the person, the smoke cleared as he saw who it was.
"… Darcie," he said, kissing her on the lips. Darcie broke the kiss off and slapped him across the face. Jake laughed as he looked at her, "So, you tried to kill me?"
"Those that destroy Team Dracos don't live..," said Darcie, "I am following Silva's final order."
Jake laughed as he looked at her, "Team Dracos this, Team Dracos that… you know Darcie? I was a Team Rocket member. We don't play the rules. We sell Pokémon for profit. But, you know what? Using humans for experiments was also something we did too. I wanted more than just being a Rocket Grunt… I wanted to be a strong warrior for Giovanni. Obviously he said no. So, that's why I joined Team Dracos… my intention was never to follow the oath of Dracos."
Darcie looked at him as she turned to the grass, "What do you mean?"
"Hmm… Darcie," said Jake, "Remember the time we first met?"
Darcie shook her head, "Sadly, yes."
Five years ago…
Darcie was an average Pokémon Coordinator as she won her third ribbon in the Pokémon Contest. Grinning, she walked over as she was shaking hands with the judges. Grinning, she turned around as she was walking out the door of the contest hall, located in Lilycove City. Darcie was walking down the stairs with her green backpack. Sitting down on the bench, she waited for her car. Laughing, she picked up her phone as she started looking at the camera roll.
"This is so cool. All I need is one ribbon… and I win!" said Darcie, grinning.
Suddenly, an explosion occurred from behind. Darcie turned around as she noticed some smoke. Dashing over to the smoke, she stopped in response as she saw the contest hall... in flames. She stood there in response as she was looking at the debris… coming from a car at Lilycove Contest Hall.
"What the-?" she asked.
She turned around as she noticed a man wearing a Team Rocket Grunt suit. He looked up as he was grabbing Pokémon, throwing them in cages and then helping to put them on a green armored truck. As he went to drive away, Darcie turned around as she went to release her Pokémon, "Bayleef, Razor Leaf!"
As her Bayleef emerged, leaves struck as the tires popped. The truck swerved around as it hit a pole. Darcie dashed over as she went to go fight. Immediately, a Team Rocket Grunt went to pull a gun at her back.
"Don't move," he said.
She turned around as she looked over. Immediately, the Team Rocket Grunt laughed as he looked at the others, grabbing her Bayleef by the neck, placing a black and grey collar. The cage evolved from the collar. Bayleef screamed as the grunts laughed. Darcie stumbled in tears as she looked at them. Immediately, the grunts took Bayleef in another truck. Jake grabbed Darcie by the neck as he walked down the hill, in the middle of the woods.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
Jake turned around and hushed her. As Jake rolled around, Darcie smacked him down. Jake landed on the ground as Darcie landed on her feet. She withdrew a golden dagger as she stretched it out. Jake laughed as he looked at her, "You actually fight without a Pokémon?"
"Sometimes you have to…," said Darcie, "Now, step away."
"Do you want Bayleef back?" asked Jake.
Darcie turned around as she looked at him, "What do you mean?"
"… Just answer the question," he said.
"I don't trust Rocket Grunts," said Darcie, "They shouldn't even be in Hoenn anyway."
Jake laughed, "I'm not really a part of Team Rocket."
A flash of green energy surrounded him as he transformed into his main suit, "I'm a member of Team Dracos."
Darcie looked at him, "That's a new team I've never heard of before."
"We are secret. No one knows about us. Now come," he said.
Darcie turned around as she looked at Jake, "You never kept of the bargain, did you?"
Jake laughed as he looked at her, "… You had a feeling, didn't you?"
Darcie's heart sank as she looked up, remembering what happened next.
Darcie walked inside of the Team Dracos hideout. As she turned around to notice a dojo, she looked up, seeing Silva. He was dressed in a black and green ninja uniform as he looked at her. She gulped as Silva went to strike with his sword. Darcie blocked it with her dagger and then kicked him in the stomach. Silva stumbled back as he looked at her, grinning.
"I see you brought a strong person to join us. She would make a perfect admin," he said.
"I am not here to join for your purpose. I am only here until he releases Bayleef back," said Darcie.
Silva grinned as he walked over, looking at her, "My dear… Team Dracos is not like Team Rocket. We are trained ninjas who are honorable like the dragon type Pokémon. Rayquaza, the dragon of all, is relentless… our team is to be like that. You swear that if you train with us, do what I ask you to do, you will get Bayleef back."
"What's the plan?" asked Darcie, gulping.
"You see… we are criminals that steal artifacts that have special power. We are trying to find these items that will hopefully lead to something strong. Think you can handle it?"
Darcie looked down as tears formed in her eyes. Stealing was never her strong suit. She also knew that this was going to be tough, knowing that she would have to risk it all. She looked up as she turned to Silva, "Master, I accept."
Darcie looked up, "And since then, I have collected each item. Even when the rangers did win…"
Jake said nothing as he turned around. Darcie then looked up as something clicked. She turned around as she looked at Jake as he started laughing and chuckling.
"You never helped me at all…," said Darcie, "I studied to be a criminal, grab the jewels and follow Silva's commands… just so that way you had power. Then, what happened to my Bayleef?"
Jake gulped as he clenched his fists, "…"
Darcie's heart sank as she looked at him, "You didn't."
Jake said nothing as he turned to her, "I was told to capture you based on your skill. I had to play the part. Sadly, I can't help you about Bayleef. I wasn't going to save your Pokémon."
Darcie clenched her fist as she looked at him, "You are mad… you used me!"
She withdrew her golden dagger as she took out a green and black saber, "Alright, Jake… I have a feeling I won't get out of this alive… I'm going to have to kill you before you do anymore damage to this region."
"Bring it on… klutz," said Jake. A green and black energy beam surrounded him as he transformed into his armor.
Darcie took a fighting pose. The two started circling around as they had their weapons. Darcie's eyes began to glow as she flipped forward. Flipping forward, she used her dagger to swing. Jake dodged the attack as he turned around with his sword. Darcie turned around as she reached for belt, grabbing two throwing daggers. Throwing them, Jake blocked them with his saber. Jake began to glow in a black aura as he disappeared into the ground. His shadow went underneath, heading toward Darcie. Darcie jumped up as she leapt up, right before he went to spring into action. Darcie used her legs and kicked the tree stump, she headed toward Jake as she grabbed him. Jake fell on the ground as she rolled across with him. Darcie punched him in the stomach as she kicked him off of her. As he landed on the ground, Darcie turned around as she used her golden dagger. A bluish aura surrounded her as an Altaria image appeared behind her.
"Dragon Dance!"
Immediately, red and blue auras surrounded her as she spun around, increasing speed. Using her dagger, Jake was cut multiple times as he spun around. Jake then turned around as he looked at her. As he went to release a shadow energy field, Darcie stretched her dagger in the air as a pink aura surrounded her. The beams went across as Jake was hit. Jake turned around as he looked at Darcie. Wind speed picked up as her dagger began to glow in a green aura.
"Dragon Hurricane!"
Summoning four hurricanes at once, Jake turned around as he looked to see them. He never seen Darcie with this much power. Jake laughed as he looked around. Before he could move, the hurricanes moved together. Debris and trees were being slashed as Jake tried to endure the power. He then looked up as Darcie jumped down. A green aura surrounded her dagger as she screamed. Jake looked up as he turned around. Upon impact, a green aura erupted as the hurricane released a sheer shockwave. An explosion of mass proportions appeared around Route 120 as trees were all cut in a 10 mile circumference. As the hurricane stopped, Darcie landed on her knees. Jake laughed as he looked at her. Darcie was kicked in the face as she landed on the ground.
"You've gotten powerful… but you're too late," said Jake.
His sword began to glow in a violet and blue aura. Wings surrounded him as he raised his saber, "Draconic Slash!"
Before Darcie could defend, a violet line struck across as Darcie was affected by it. Jake then charged forward as he used his hand, forming a claw. He slashed through as Darcie screamed. Jake grinned as she fell to the ground.
"I bid you… farewell," he said, looking at her, seeing her on the ground. Fire and smoke appeared as he went to walk away, leaving her and the Team Dracos dojo in rubble.
Meanwhile…
Lamar was walking around the southern edge of Ever Grande Island. His eyes were red instead of his normal color as he was looking around. He shook his head as he continued to walk away. He was still bruised and bandaged from the attack as people were looking at him. He had his hands in his pockets as he turned to the group.
"Hmm… darkness they said," said Lamar, laughing, "I will never join Jake. But, with this much power…"
Snapping his fingers, he looked at an abandoned house. A black beam shot out as the abandoned house exploded into pieces. He laughed as wild Pokémon escaped the rubble. Lamar laughed as he was looking at his fingers. He then turned around as he felt something attached to his skin. He looked up to see a Spell Tag on his right elbow. Removing it, he looked at it.
"Jake is nearby," he said, looking up.
Lamar turned around, looking at the mountain. He stood silently as Jake stood on the cliff, "Hello, Lamar."
Jumping off the mountain, Jake landed on the ground on his own two feet. He looked up as he headed slowly toward Lamar. Grinning, he looked at him as he turned to see his eyes.
"Your eyes show me you are ready…," he said.
"Ready?" asked Lamar.
Jake grinned as he grabbed Lamar by the arm. Lamar turned around as he broke free, kicking Jake in the stomach. Jake turned around as Lamar released his two fingers. Two black and red beams shot out as explosions surrounded Jake. Jake yelled as he landed on the ground. The smoke cleared as he turned to him, "You can't stop me…"
Jake laughed as he put his hands together. Chanting, a purple and violet aura erupted from the ground. Lamar yelled as the aura energy wrapped around him. Jake stretched his arm as Lamar was thrown toward him. Within seconds, a green aura surrounded Lamar's wrists as black and emerald handcuffs arrived. Locked in chains, Lamar tried to break free as Jake grinned. Jake closed his eyes as he raised his saber. The Three Headed Dragon stood in the middle of the ground. He then reached out as he grabbed the red, blue and green orbs. Placing them around Lamar, he grinned as he turned to him.
"What do you plan on doing?" he asked.
"Unleashing your inner darkness… you will cause destruction… using the Orbs of Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza… with the three headed dragon… I am going to use Team Dracos's power… and give your so-called former friends a piece of my mind!"
Stabbing his sword in the ground, the orbs began to shine as it connected to the Three Headed Dragon through red, blue and green beams. The Three Headed Dragon released a golden beam, causing Lamar to scream. Lamar yelled as a purple sphere began to surround him. Jake looked up as the storm began to darken. Blue and red lightning bolts were striking as a purple aura surrounded the sky. A green aura was summoning it.
"Yes…," he said, grinning.
Meanwhile…
The alarms were glowing bright red all over the headquarters. Rachel and the others turned around as they were looking at one of the screens. She stood up, walking toward the screen seeing this weird phenomenon happening.
"What is that?" asked Rachel.
"It's some kind of darkness shield," said Urara, looking at the computer, turning around she noticed Amy dashing toward them. Out of breath, she turned around as she looked at the screen, "That's not a shield… Jake is performing a ritual known as Shadow Sacrifice."
"Shadow Sacrifice?" asked Seb, "How does that relate to the Three Headed Dragon?"
Amy turned around as she pressed a button on the screen. The rangers looked up as they saw the three orbs in a triangle position with the Three Headed Dragon in the center, "When you combine it all with dark energy, a sphere of energy will crush into the sky. It will crush into Lamar. Lamar's sacrifice will bring shadow draconic energy that Jake will absorb… to be the ultimate master."
"So, he is going to kill Lamar to be a strong individual," said Camille, turning to the others, "We should probably go."
"True," said Marianne, "But, I have a feeling that breaking the barrier is easier said than done."
"That is also true," said Grace, turning to them, "But, we need to stop Jake now before he becomes a strong creature."
Zander nodded as he went to grab his Relic Detector on the table, "Let's go team!"
Seb nodded as he climbed out of his seat, "Defeat Jake, save Lamar… let's roll!"
Meanwhile…
Lamar was pinned to a silver pole as he was wrapped in black chains. Looking at him, he screamed as black and red energy was feeding off of him. He looked at him as the Three Headed Dragon was sucking energy from the three orbs. Shining with energy, Jake grinned as he was looking at him, happy as he moved closer.
"How does it feel, Lamar?"
Lamar cringed as he was looking at Jake, "This was your plan…?"
"Ha…," said Jake, "Lamar Clayton, I know you have been trying to defeat me… for a long while. So, I plan on using your inner demons for my own gain. You will be free of them…"
"You are using… artifacts like this for your own good. The Red, Blue and Green Orbs are supposed to be used to maintain peace in Hoenn… you know what will happen right if you do this?"
"Besides me being bathed in darkness… yes," he said, "I can be the ultimate supervillain. Groudon and Kyogre will bow to me… and Rayquaza…"
"I hate to tell you this… Rayquaza's been gone for 15 years… for so I know…" Lamar responded.
"I KNOW HE'S ALIVE…," said Jake, laughing, looking at Lamar, "It doesn't surprise me."
He turned around as he looked at the sphere, "Just because the rumors of the dragon are gone… then how come the world has been at peace?"
"The world is at peace because rangers before me protected it," Lamar said, looking at him, trying to fight the darkness. Jake turned around, "Haha, I meant long term."
Lamar said nothing as Jake looked at him, "You see… in 2007, Rayquaza's death shattered and twisted the universe around…"
"I know the whole story. My mentor was in that war," said Lamar, "They couldn't bring back Rayquaza, but they were able to find the Overtech Crystals to reverse everything. Jake, you are speaking nonsense."
Jake grinned as he turned around, grabbing him by the neck, "When this is over, I will consume your energy… and I will be just like Rayquaza, but powerful. I will be just like him, watch me until your last breath!"
Lamar grumbled as he tightened his grip. Immediately, a blue aura surrounded Lamar. Jake turned around as he saw Suicune's essence pouring out. Jake grinned as he saw Suicune's eyes dart at him.
"Ha… Suicune, not even a Hoenn legendary…," he said, laughing.
Suicune jumped out as he leapt down on the ground. Jake grinned as he withdrew his sword, "I have been waiting to slay a legendary for my own gain."
Meanwhile…
Everyone was dashing toward Ever Grande Island, seeing the black clouds form in the sky. Looking up, they see purple sparks land on the ground as they were seeing a purplish-black barrier. Etna, Marianne and Camille looked at each other as they headed toward the barrier. Immediately, with their weapons, they aimed their weapons at the barrier. Unleashing the beams from the Omega Gauntlets, Delta Saber and the Alpha Trident, the beams reflected back as they were hit by the attack. Urara dashed over as she looked at her morpher, seeing the energy.
"The energy coming from the barrier is exponentially high," Urara responded, looking at the rangers, "Not even our attacks will be able to stop it."
"… I got it," said Rachel. Rachel stood in front as she closed her hands. A red aura surrounded her as a Moltres started to come out.
"What are you doing?" asked Grace.
"Using whatever magic I can use…," said Rachel, looking at Grace. Grace and Zander nodded as they clamped their hands together. Green and yellow auras surrounded them as their legendary Pokémon surrounded them. Urara, Cedric and Seb did the following, but in pink, black and gold auras. The legendary Pokémon went to strike the barrier. As the barrier was hit, there was pressure on the other side.
Immediately, a black and blue lightning bolt struck the whole battlefield, causing a shockwave. The rangers flew to the ground, landing on the ground. Seb looked up as he went to crawl. Jake arrived as he marched forward. He was glowing black and violet energy as he grabbed his green saber.
"Jake…," said Joe, withdrawing his Fossil Blaster. Pulling the trigger, a black beam was released as Jake blocked it with his sword. The beam went right at Joe, straight in the stomach. Joe yelled, landing on the ground, dropping the Fossil Blaster.
"JOE!" shouted Zander, dashing toward him. Joe grumbled as he looked up, "I'm… okay… just a wound."
"I will NOT let you ruin my ceremony," said Jake, "But, seeing you use your magical powers can be a fine addition to my strength."
As Seb turned around, his Solgaleo went after Jake. Jake laughed as he used his saber as a barrier, pushing Solgaleo to the ground. Seb withdrew his Blaze Lance as he went toward Jake. Jake looked up as Seb went to strike. Jake blocked the attack, elbowed Seb and then went to throw him on the ground. Seb rolled over as Jake tried to stab him. Turning around, Zander and Grace pulled the triggers on their Relic Blasters, hitting Jake. Jake turned around as he jumped up with his claw. As he went to strike, Grace's Zapdos flew down with an electric bolt. Jake released a green beam, shooting Zapdos down. Zapdos screamed as it fell into a bunch of trees.
"Zapdos!" shouted Grace.
Immediately, Zander jumped up as he went to throw a punch at Jake. Jake grabbed him by the neck and punched him in the stomach. Releasing him, Jake spun a kick so fast at Zander. Zander flew into the barrier. Zander yelled as he was electrocuted and then landed on the ground. Zander tried to get up, only for Grace to help him. Grace turned around as Jake threw a punch at Cedric and Urara. Urara turned around, only for Xerenas to arrive. Releasing a pink blast of fairy energy, Jake squirmed as he was hit. Urara then turned around as she took out her Scepter Blade. She pierced him in the stomach. Jake squirmed as Urara dug deeper. Withdrawing, Jake stumbled as Urara's blade began to glow in a green aura.
"Solar Blade!"
Slashing Jake to the ground, Jake spun around as he fell to his knees. Urara took a deep breath as she looked at Jake. He laughed as he looked at her. A black aura surrounded him as he disappeared. Urara turned around as she looked around.
"Be on the lookout," said Cedric.
Urara looked around as she felt a dark presence come from behind. Immediately, Cedric pulled the trigger as silver and blue beams from his Steel Sniper hit Jake. Jake yelled as he was hit by the attack. As Jake looked up, he noticed six people with weapons aimed at him.
"It's all over, Jake," said Seb, "Stop this right now…"
"Guys…."
Zander turned around as he looked over. He noticed an injured person walking in the woods. Squinting, he noticed a severely injured person. Revealed by the light, Darcie was stumbling toward them. She was not looking good. She had a lot of cuts, bruises and burns. Jake laughed as he looked at her and then at the sky.
"I don't know how you were able to survive dear," he said.
Darcie collapsed on Zander's arms. Zander looked up as she fell to his knees. He took her and threw her in the pile.
"Why are you even here?" asked Zander. Darcie winced in pain as Zander looked at her, "Wait… you did this?"
"… I had to try to kill all of Team Dracos," said Jake, grinning, "I knew I should have stabbed you ten times."
Darcie looked up as she went to get up. She looked down at Jake as she put her hands up, "I am not here to help him. He betrayed me."
"Bull…," said Urara, "I don't know if I-."
Darcie turned around as she withdrew her dagger. The dagger was cut in half as she looked at them, "His plan was to destroy the whole world from the beginning. He had no intention of hunting for treasures… specifically the crown. We were going to surrender after what happened with the Slayers, but someone didn't want to give in."
Jake snapped his fingers. A green bolt struck Darcie in the head. She screamed as she landed on the ground. Zander jumped over as Darcie went to help her up. Jake shook his head, "Don't tell them."
"Tell us what?" asked Zander, "The Meowth's out of the bag… you tried to kill your own ally because this was your whole plan."
He turned around as he left Darcie alone. Jake went to use another move, but Zander stomped on his foot, "How do we stop this thing?"
Jake said nothing. Zander laughed as he looked at Vizirion, who was still somewhat in stable condition. Virizion hopped over as a cluster of vines sprung out, causing Jake to get caught. Jake squirmed as the vines wrapped around his neck.
"Answer the question, Jake," he said.
"He won't tell you," said Darcie, "You can… you see he won't tell you because not also does he want Lamar's spirit… he wants a Mystic Legendary to fuse with him. He plans on being a combination of Rayquaza and Suicune."
"But, Suicune isn't a Hoenn Legendary," said Grace.
"Right… it's a bonus," said Darcie, turning to him, "He wants to be the most powerful supervillain, so he will take Lamar. But, because he was obsessed about Lamar's strength and dark patterns and the fact that he is bonded with Mystic Force Legendaries such as the six of you, he wanted Suicune's strength."
"So, kill Lamar, capture Suicune, absorb the legendaries of Hoenn… powerful villain," said Etna, turning to Darcie. Darcie nodded exactly.
"And how do you know all of this?" asked Seb, crossing his arms. Darcie took a deep breath as Seb went to raise his fist. Darcie quickly blocked it… with a brown notebook. Seb looked at her as he grabbed it. He flipped pages as he was looking through. His eyes were widened as he was examining, "He examined every artifact… and has even did research on us!"
Rachel looked over, "He examined and observed Lamar… so he can perform his own experiment!"
Jake laughed as he looked at them, "And there's nothing you can do."
Darcie laughed as she turned to him, "Oh, yes there is."
Zander turned around as he looked at her. Darcie looked at the sphere, seeing a blue crack, "You see… the legendaries were strong enough to at least make a dent. However, it is recovering pretty quickly."
Suddenly, the island started having tremors as the rangers were shaken up. Seb's Relic Detector started glowing and beeping at the same time. Seb picked up the Relic Detector, "Yeah?"
"This is Ray," the former Blue Space Ranger said on the intercom, "Amy has detected a meteor on its way down at a rapid pace."
"How long do we have?" asked Seb.
"About 20 minutes," said Ray.
Seb and the others turn to each other. Etna hopped over with Marianne and Camille, morphed in their Knights of Order suits with their weapons.
"You three stay and make sure he doesn't move," said Seb, looking at Joe as Joe was standing. Joe nodded as he walked over toward him. Seb turned around as he looked at the others, "Rangers, focus your energy on that crack."
"Right!" shouted the rangers, withdrawing their morphers, "Relic Hunters, Start Up!"
In a flash of light, the rangers transformed into their suits.
"Swamp Blaster!" shouted Zander, revealing his weapon.
"Scepter Dagger!" shouted Urara, revealing her weapon.
"Steel Sniper!" shouted Cedric, revealing his weapon.
"Scope Shot, install!" shouted Rachel, attaching to the Relic Blaster, "Relic Sniper!"
"Relic Crusher!" shouted Grace, attaching her Hunter Armor to her body and grabbing the weapon.
A golden aura surrounded Seb as he began to lift up from the ground. A red aura surrounded him as the Sentinel Knight released a golden knight armor. Seb was covered, wearing a golden chest plate, shoulder pads, knee pads and boots. He also wore a Dragonite helmet as he stretched out his arm. His arms were covered in ruby gauntlets with blue designs. He also had a sapphire trident that he was able to hold. Finally, the Sentinel Sword turned into an Emerald Saber with golden designs. Landing on the ground, green and white lightning surrounded him.
"Relic Hunter: Hoenn Fighter!" shouted Seb, "Aim for the crack!"
Immediately, six beams of energy struck out as it combined into one beam of energy. The beam pierced the crack. As the energy increased, the rangers hung on as the crack started to continue. Behind them, Solgaleo, Vizirion, Xerenas, Zapdos, Moltres and Darkrai emerged as they released their attacks to help increase the attack. As the cracks started to increase and make a dent, Jake looked up as he turned to them, "No… NO!"
As a green energy beam struck, the four of them landed on the ground. As he went to attack, Darcie jumped up, with whatever energy she had left and tackled him. A green aura pushed her out as he went to strike Seb. As the crack continued to increase, a rupture occurred in the sphere. Black and violet energy was unleashed as green energy beams struck from the sky. The green bolts released a shockwave. Everyone was flown to the ground as trees were cut and mountains were severed. Within minutes, whatever was on that island nothing but a barren wasteland within a 100-mile radius. Getting up, Seb looked up as he saw what was left. Standing to his own two feet, he stood as he saw a Suicune. But, it was a blackish and red.
"Suicune…," said Seb.
The others stood up as they saw Suicune, angry. Jake looked up as he got up from the shockwave, laughing as he turned to him, "Perfect… that meteor will still be here though."
Looking across, Lamar was knocked out cold. Rachel dashed over as she headed toward him. As Suicune went to tackle her, Rachel grabbed Lamar before Suicune could make a dent. Lamar's eyes woke up as he turned to her. Rachel looked down as he looked up.
"What happened…?" he asked, "I hurt everywhere… what did he do?"
Rachel turned around as she looked at him, "Jake tried to kill you… but Suicune…"
Jake laughed as he looked at him. He turned around as he looked at Suicune, petting it, "Now, I have a legendary I can fuse with. The meteor will be here in about 10 minutes. It's too late. I guess I better kill you now."
Lamar crawled to his feet as he looked at him. Seb and the others arrived as Lamar took a deep breath, "Stop that meteor."
"You're in no condition to fight," said Camille, looking at him.
Lamar turned around, "Sadly, this is personal. I have to fight him alone."
"You and what army?" he asked.
Lamar took a deep breath as he released his three Pokémon: Greninja, Feraligatr, and Swampert. He turned to the three of them as he looked at Jake, "He's extremely dangerous guys…"
Suicune charged at him as he went to attack his Pokémon. Greninja released Water Shurikens, hitting Suicune. Suicune turned around with a shadow beam, hitting Greninja. Greninja landed on the ground, just barely missing. Feraligatr went to throw a punch, only for Suicune to headbutt him to the ground. Immediately, Swampert released a pile of mud at his eyes. As Suicune squirmed, Swampert slammed on his hands as a wave of water hit him in the ground, knocking him on his feet. Lamar charged forward as Suicune went to tackle him. Upon impact, Lamar grabbed him by the head as Suicune tried to shake him off.
"Come on… you are a Mystical Legendary! You chose me, remember?" he asked.
Suicune roared as he went to strike. The other rangers watched as Lamar turned around, "You saved me… you know you did."
As a tear went down, it hit Suicune. Suicune roared as a black aura surrounded him. As more tears were coming down, Lamar began to shine in a blue aura as Suicune looked up. A blue aura surrounded Suicune as well as the black aura started to diminish. Jake cringed as he felt weaker, "No… No!"
Immediately, Suicune let him go. Lamar carefully landed on the ground. He then turned around as he saw the Three Headed Dragon, still drawing energy to the orbs.
"Swampert, Greninja and Feraligatr, destroy that artifact!"
"NOOO!" shouted Jake.
A Hydro Pump, Dark Pulse and an Ice Beam combined into one. The Three Headed Dragon exploded into pieces as the Red, Blue and Green Orbs were free from its bounds. The three orbs began to shimmer as they teleported back to their respectful places. Jake turned to him as he looked at Lamar. Lamar stood in front of them as he saw a blue aura on the ground. He noticed it was a silver Mystic Staff that was on the ground, his personally.
"You… I'm going to kill you," said Jake.
Lamar turned to the others, "Guys! Meteor?"
"Right," said Seb, picking up his morpher, "Relic Hunter Zords!"
The other rangers headed straight to destroy the meteor above.
Lamar pulled out his Relic Detector as he slid it across, transforming into his ranger suit, "Let's do this Jake… to the death!"
Lamar turned around, seeing his Pokémon stay on the right hand side. Looking up, he noticed Suicune, nodding his head slowly. As the winds picked up, Jake headed straight toward him with his sword. Lamar flipped forward as he landed on the ground. Lamar turned around as Jake went to strike again. Lamar grabbed his Hunter Saber. Both sabers clashed with every strike. Jake turned around as he went to cut across. Lamar dodged the attack as he performed a shoulder roll. Jake swung his saber as a green energy beam surrounded his saber.
"Dragon Dance Slash!"
Red and blue circles surrounded his saber as he was swinging around, splitting into three people. He jumped up as he released two slash lines. Lamar tried to block each one. As he struck both, he felt something pierce his stomach. Lamar looked up as he noticed his saber stabbed in the suit. Jake grinned as he looked at him.
"You can never stop darkness… you lose," he said.
Immediately, Lamar pushed the saber out of his suit. Jake then struck his head with the sword. Explosions surrounded his helmet as Lamar landed on the ground. Camille and Marianne watched as they saw Lamar helmetless.
"Lamar!" shouted Camille.
"Stay back…," said Lamar, looking at her and then turning to Jake. Jake laughed as he looked at Lamar. Lamar's head, now bruised, stared him down as he picked up the Mystic Staff. A blue aura surrounded him as he tapped into his power.
Jake laughed, "Draco Hurricane!"
Red and blue winds surrounded Lamar as he was about to levitate. Lamar stabbed the staff as his feet were planted. A blue aura surrounded his body as the hurricane broke free. Jake yelled as he flew to the ground, landing on the ground. Jake turned around as Lamar slashed him with the Mystic Staff. Immediately, his helmet broke free as he looked around. Turning around, Lamar noticed something different. He turned around as he saw something interesting. He saw white armor with black and gold trim on the outside with his element in the middle. He also had gold trim on boots and gloves. Lamar turned around as he looked at Suicune.
"How are you letting me use this… I am not going to ask…" said Lamar.
"What is THAT?" asked Jake.
"Relic Hunter Black: Legendary Mode!"
Camille, Marianne and Etna looked in aghast as Etna turned around, "Hold up! Mystic Force combined with Relic Hunters? NO!"
Jake turned around as he released green and black beams from his sword. Lamar dodged each and every attack as he hopped over. He turned around as he slashed Jake with his Mystic Staff. Jake went to block with his sword, only for the sword to be cut in two. Jake stood there as he was kicked in the face. Lamar then stretched out his hand as the Doom Hammer arrived.
"Doom Hammer… Mystic Staff, Shadow Aurora!"
Swinging his weapons to the ground, a shadow and water aura combined as it swirled around, hitting Jake. Jake looked up as Lamar struck him down. Jake screamed as sparks flew across. Lamar then spun around as he slashed him straight across the chest, piercing the armor. He then stabbed him again as he dug deeper. Jake squirmed as Lamar released his weapon. Jake turned around as he fell to his knees. His whole face was full of blood and smoke as Lamar fell to his knees.
"I can't believe I lost… to you," he said, "It was honorable."
"You have no honor," said Lamar, "Checkmate!"
Snapping his fingers, Jake roared as an explosion occurred. Lamar turned around as he fell to his knees, landing on the ground. Immediately, his Pokémon started running toward him with sadness as Lamar was knocked out cold.
Within a few minutes, the Relic Hunter Ultrazord landed on the ground. Seeing flames explode from the sky, it looked like there wasn't a problem with the meteor's destruction. As the other rangers landed on the ground, they headed over to Lamar, who was knocked out. Rachel landed on her knees as she lifted Lamar, "Lamar…"
As she started to form tears, she heard Suicune's roar. Looking up, she turned around as Suicune walked over.
"Is he okay?" asked Rachel.
Suicune slowly nodded as she turned to him. She looked at Seb as Seb nodded, "Let's get him back…"
He turned around, noticing the flames. Seb walked over quietly as he saw the sword cut in half and his helmet broken. He looked at the clouds as he turned to Darcie. Darcie stood there, upset as Seb walked over. She turned to him as she knelt down, looking at Seb.
"… You might as well kill me for everything…," she said.
Seb lifted her up on her feet, "Nope… I am not. But… I'm bringing you in."
Darcie turned around, "What?"
Seb turned around as he looked at her, "You've watched a lot of people suffer. And you watched people that were close to you die… I think that's enough to witness… don't you think?"
Darcie said nothing as Seb held her left arm, walking her. Everyone walked away as they left the battlefield. Zander and Cedric, who both carried Lamar, looked back to see the damage. Turning around, headed back to base.

Poké Rangers Relic Hunters Chapter 49: Sebastian vs. Maxie
A/N: So, that is it! The end of Team Dracos! It was a sad ending for sure! Jake was fun to write and he was always that warrior! He was a villain for sure. This has been a rough one to write too because there were so many things I wanted to add. Fight scenes… backstory… because we never talked about how Darcie joined nor some of Jake's backstory.
Sadly, though, he will be missed. This leaves just Team Magma and Team Aqua left. Who knows what will happen. Get ready for our three-part series finale starting next week. Currently I am writing the Penultimate Chapter and it will be done tomorrow. That means I will probably make my December 12th deadline!
