A Thousand Years

All Shapeshifters x Imprints/Mates

(Set After "Breaking Dawn")

The La Push Gang was one of the largest group of shapeshifters to go through many battles within their own native history and legends. They were once close and developed great friendships and a sense of brotherhood/sisterhood. The one thing that was a hope was for the pack to remain together regardless, but life got in the way and caused the original gang to part ways to live normal lives as much as possible.

A tragedy occurs that causes the entire gang to reunite once again, but to also find another wolf pack of the former younger members who joined before they parted ways. As the Original Gang joins together once more, they now have to face the Rogue Pack in order to reclaim the reservation under the original power.

Changes in everyone's lives are now shown in this story: from engagements to divorces, from new birth to death of loved ones, and from reuniting with old friends to making new ones...they've seen it all.

Or have they?

A/N: Hello everyone, I hope you are all staying safe with everything going on in the world. I've been experiencing a lot of writer's block for the past year and a half, almost two years, and I never thought that I would miss writing so much. Now, I'm slowly getting back into the groove of things. New stories are being posted, and stories that I've been working on for years are still in effect with new chapters. However, how often I will update will depend on flexibility in my work schedule.

Here what's been going on since I've last posted any new chapters or stories: I was offered a job to work in preschool for students with autism and other developmental delays that was a year-round program, and then I was offered to switch back to work with K-6 students delivering instructions both in their classrooms and in small groups. I had training for a full week for the intervention, and initially I tried to join in a new program where I would only deliver instructions to students in small groups...but that never happened. I missed working with my preschool colleagues, but I knew preschool program I was in wasn't for me at the time. I like work with PK-6 kids, but now I'm experiencing not a great team at all. I'm doing my best to push through, but I may need to start looking elsewhere.

On the bright side, I got my Master's in Special Education in December 2020, and I was fully licensed by May 2021! I'm looking into becoming either an Early Childhood Special Ed. Teacher or a Reading Specialist, which sounds exciting, but also frustrating too. Reason being, I need to have at least 3 successful years of teaching (which somehow I have including the year when COVID came around), take more testing, and do an internship before getting an additional license...meaning more schooling of course.

My hope is that if I can look for a new job that where I can start either as soon as possible for wait until the following school year, my stress levels will go down exponentially, and I can focus more on writing again. I feel so horrible that I have not dedicated time to write on here, and I wanted to make sure I do so. Just finding the time to sit down and write, and finding more inspiration is what I truly need to do at this time. I apologize for not being able to write or post new chapters and stories, but I want to say that I will try my best to post new chapters and stories when I can. Please bear with me as I do my best with my busy schedule to post as soon as I can. I cannot thank you all enough for supporting me, as we are all supporting each other during such a difficult time. Happy reading~~Tessa Anne

La Push, Washington

Sam Uley

He was the first to shift into a werewolf out of everyone within the pack; and thus becoming the Alpha until the one who's birthright would eventually shift could take over. He had the stern personality of being a great leader, but sometimes prejudices comes to play during the first few years as a leader.

Now...he's no longer phasing anymore. He gave up that life in order to grow old with the woman he loved and raise their family. How that came to be was also a twisted kind of fate. Long story short, he imprinted on his ex-girlfriend's second cousin.

With his tools while on top of the roof of his house, he was supposed to be fixing it to stop the leaks when it rains. Instead, he was looking out as the sun was slowly starting to set on the horizon. He felt content with the life he had, and he enjoy running his own carpentry business on the reservation. Many of his former pack members left to pursue their own careers and start families outside of the godforsaken town, but he made the choice to remain.

Back then, he would have wanted nothing more than to leave and find himself while traveling across the country. But now, he's glad he made the choice to stay. He knew someday that one of his children could shift into werewolves, and he wanted to remain where it all started, in order to help guide them through and be a source of wisdom when needed.

"Dad? Mom said dinner's ready," his younger son called out to him from down below. Sam sighed and after hammering the last nail in place, he carried the toolbox and climbed down the roof with the ladder that laid on the side of his house for hours. When he got down, he ruffled his son's dark messy hair and patted his back. "Go wash up, I'm coming right now." Sam said to his son, as his little girl ran toward him, giggling and jostling her baby doll his mother gave her when she was born.

Lifting her in his arms, Sam kissed her cheek and blew raspberry, cause her to giggle even more. "Daddy! Put me down!"

Sam laughed and let her go, as he saw his older son come down the stairs, carrying one of his textbooks and assignment and put it in the living room. "Hey Dad,"

Deep down, he could tell that soon his eldest child would start phasing, but he didn't know when. Pulling his son into his arms, Sam held him tightly, not wanting to let go. "Dad, you okay?" his son asked him, and Sam pulled him back to see his face. Everyone could tell that his son was a splitting image of his father, and though he was barely thirteen, Sam was afraid to lose his son to the life he once had before.

"I'm fine, Levi. Just promise me that you'll come to me if something happens to you. I don't care if it's a small problem or a big one, just promise you'll come to me first."

"Okay...sure, I promise." Levi replied, as his father let him go so he could get ready for dinner.

Sam then moved into the kitchen, wrapping his arms around his wife and imprint, who was getting dinner ready on the table. He kissed his wife's scarred cheek, remembering how it happened and how much he wish he could take back that day. "Sam, he's going to be fine." his wife replied, as she turned and kissed him.

"I wish I had your strength right now, Em. I can't help this feeling that something's going to happen to him,"

Cradling his face in her hands, Emily gave him a soft smile. "Our children will be fine, especially Levi. We just have to wait and see, and if you think it's necessary, we can talk to Billy and the other Elders about this. You might not be the only one who's feeling this way..."

Seattle, Washington

Jared Cameron

As he finished his 48-hour shift at the fire station, Jared felt tired but relieved to be off from work for four days. He was the second one to start phasing into a werewolf, and though he was terrified of the prospect, Jared found his purpose after he stopped shifting.

Becoming a firefighter has been a lifelong dream, but when he became a werewolf, that dream came to a halt for a while. It came back after he decided to leave with his imprint and now wife to move to Seattle, so she could complete her studies in Creative Writing and Business. They've been living in Seattle for several years now, and though he misses his families and friends back home, he made new friends and was happy with his own growing family here.

Jared drove in his dad's old pick-up truck that he was given after he lost his father the first year after he moved to Seattle. Losing his father to cancer was a terrible time for him, and it affected everything that went on in his life. The one thing that remained constant was the love he had for his imprint, Kim. She always had a crush on him growing up, and though he never noticed her until after he phased, Jared knew that Kim would have been his wife anyways. He wanted to marry her that minute, but keeping in mind how young they were and how much time was wasted before realizing it was her all along, he could wait a few more years.

By the time they got to Seattle, Jared convinced her to go to the courthouse to get married right away. What also convinced him even more that she would always be his other half was when they both learned she was pregnant with twins at their impromptu wedding.

He finally pulled up to his home, where it was above his wife's coffee shop and bookstore. They've lived in apartment complexes when they were married and had their twins, but when she learned she was pregnant again and finally gotten her degrees, Jared convinced her to buy the place and they would expand on the loft above the store. Since then, they were happy...but there was something gnawing at him and has been for a couple of years.

Jared went up to the loft, and when he walked in, his youngest son came toddling toward him and screeching "Daddy! Daddy!" He laughed and lifted him into his arms and kissed him, before setting him down so he could go play with his toys. He found his twins sitting at the kitchen table, working on their homework. They greeted him, as he kissed their forehead. "Kendall and Jenna, were you two okay today at school?"

They nodded at their father, and went back to their work. He didn't feel convinced, but felt Kim's hand tangle with his and squeezing it. He smiled, and pulled her to the side, while also asking the twins to watch their little brother. "Do you believe them?" Jared asked his wife, unsure of what to think.

"It's hard to say. Jenna seem fine coming home, but Kendall was pretty angry. I don't know what set him off, but I think you need to call your mom or better yet Billy. They might be able to help us with this. I'm just afraid something might happen to them, and I can't even help them because I've never experienced it the way you have."

Jared pulled her into his arms and gently kissed her forehead. "Don't worry, I'll call my mom and Billy tomorrow. Hopefully, they'll have the answer we're looking for."

"And if they don't?"

"We'll figure it out...I hope..."

Next time...you will see get to see some more of our werewolves and how they're doing, but you will also see something you never expected to happen during this story. Stay tuned!

A/N: Thank you so much for reading this story. I have tried to write this story several times before, but now I'm getting into the groove of things and hopefully this will be the one that sticks. Just so you know, the next chapter will introduce Paul and Embry and how their lives have been. Soon you will see more of the La Push Gang and even some new ones too. Happy reading~~Tessa Anne
