Chapter 5: Fire Fight

Katsuki Bakugou

"I AM…COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A REGULAR PERSON!"

Katsuki's eyes widened as his head quickly rose from the desk he'd been napping on.

The last couple of days has been tedious and boring for him. Mostly filled with general education and introductory hero classes that only taught the rules and regulations that apply to and included heroes.

Katsuki's only entertainment had been that ocha girl he often hung out with and the basic combat training they had begun a few days ago. But today was different….

ALL MIGHT WOULD BE TEACHING!

"AH, IT IS GOOD TO SEE YOU YOUNG HEROES THIS MORNING!" All Might laughed.

"It's really All Might!" The class gasped, each student excited by the thought of being taught by the legend.

"TODAY WE WILL BE DOING URBAN BATTLE TRAINING, SO YOU'LL NEED THESE!" All Might flexed as panels slid from the walls revealing cases that held their costumes.

"GO CHANGE, THEN MEET ME AT CITY SITE #3," the hero bellowed as he smiled brightly at the class.

Katsuki was giddy.

This was his chance. He'd use this opportunity to destroy his rival.

The blond laughed to himself as he looked over at Deku. Once they made eye contact, he slid his thumb across his throat and pointed toward the ground.

Deku seemed to get the message as he winced, causing Katsuki's grin to widen, but the green-haired boy quickly regained his composure and stared straight back at him shaking his head.

When had Deku grown a pair?

It didn't matter.

Katsuki knew he would still crush him. Especially if they designed his suit as he had asked, he would be unstoppable.

"Watch me close All Might!" he thought, "watch the birth of the hero who's going to replace you!"

He grinned manically, taking his case to the locker room to change.

—-

Izuku Midoriya

Izuku opened his case.

He had found a quiet, isolated spot in the locker room; he didn't want his classmates to get an early look at his gear.

The case clicked open, revealing a note on top of a dark green and black folded garment. He opened the message. It reads,

Dear Izukun,

How's class?! I hope it's going well! Mine is awesome. I've been BABY MAKING LIKE CRAZY, and they even let me add some of the BABIES we talked about to your suit. I hate to tell you that Powerloader wouldn't let me add all of it because he said that some of my BABIES are unstable or supposedly not tested, but he doesn't understand! Anyway, be careful with BABY 76; I snuck that one on, but even I don't know if it'll work.

Okay, Have Fun!,

Mei Hatsume

Izuku laughed; of course she had messed with it. His smile widened; he was actually less nervous about his suit now that he knew Mei had taken a look at it.

He put it on before heading out to the City Site.

His suit was a dark green skin-tight Thermodual regulator with armored overalls that looked more like snow pants. His hands were covered in Black padded gloves. He also had on the new parka he had received from Mei, with his red beanie and combat boots.

At the bottom of his case, he saw what he'd hoped would be there, a black respirator-type device with a dial on the right side; the instrument covered the whole bottom of Izuku's face as it clicked into place.

"Hahaha, are you going snow tubing Midoriya?!" The boy named Denki Kaminari asked as he chuckled at Izuku's appearance. They had finally reached the entrance of City Site #3.

"No, it's just if I use my quirk too much my body becomes freezing, so this helps me stay at the right temperature," Izuku explained coldly, still going through the rest of his equipment.

"Oh, that actually makes sense…." Kaminari blushed, feeling embarrassed about his jests.

"THEY SAY THE CLOTHES MAKE THE MAN/WOMAN, AND I'D SAY YOU ALL LOOK LIKE HEROES TO ME!" All Might roared, laughing aloud as the costumed students gathered around him.

For the next few minutes, All Might explained the rules and reasoning for this training exercise, although when the children had too many questions, All Might reluctantly pull out a script to assist him. It was a classic Villian protect the bomb heroes try and get the bomb situation, and the teacher paired the students off and randomly chose hero or villain for each pair.

The matches were as follows:

Izuku Midoriya & Ochako Uraraka Hero

vs

Katsuki Bakugou & Tenya Iida Villain

Shoto Todoroki & Mezo Shoji Hero

vs

Mashirao Ojiro & Toru Hagakure Villain

Denki Kaminari & Kyoka Jiro Hero

vs

Neito Monoma & Momo Yaoyorozu Villain

Mina Ashido & Yuga Aoyama Hero

vs

Rikido Sato & Talaria Kaiba Villain

Tsuyu Asui & Fumikage Tokoyami Hero

vs

Hanta Sero & Ejiro Kirishima Villain

"ALRIGHT NOW THAT YOU ALL HAVE YOU TEAMS LET HAVE THE FIRST GROUP TAKE THEIR POSITIONS. VILLAINS HAVE 5 MINUTES TO SET UP, THEN HEROES ENTER."

Izuku breathed heavily as he and Uraraka made their way to the hero's starting point.

He'd really have to face Kacchan first?!

—-

Ochako Uraraka

Ochako was stretching and warming up; she was determined to win. She would show that big-headed blonde that she wasn't a damsel in distress anymore.

During the time since the entrance exam, she had been training her body and quirk at a different level.

She hated how helpless she felt when she had to be saved. She was going to be a hero, and she couldn't save others if she couldn't save herself.

Ochako was different now; her personal training combined with the combat training she was receiving at UA elevated her overall physical and combat prowess.

She looked over at her partner as they sat in front of the "Villain hideout," waiting for the exercise to start. He was obviously nervous, his hands shaking as he reached inside a pocket on the interior of his parka. He pulled out a green box about three times the size of a standard lighter and flicked it on, a bright torch flame flickering to life as the boy inhaled deeply.

Ochako blinked in surprise as the flame fought to remain alight as parts of it were being sucked into the boy's mouth.

"Your quirk is so cool!" She found herself saying aloud she had meant it. But her voice seemed to startle The boy causing him to almost drop his lighter.

"T-Thank you.." he said, blushing.

He was too easy to tease, she thought, almost disappointed. She liked boys with a bit tougher skin.

Can you explain it to me? I'll do the same; we should know each other's abilities since we are working together to win.

The boy nodded as he explained that his quirk allowed him to inhale heat and exhale fire. She felt that he was definitely holding back information about his quirk, but she understood they were still strangers.

Plus, she knew he had a complicated relationship with her blond friend; even though she knew his name was Midoriya, Ba-kun only referred to him as Deku.

After they both had explained their quirks, Ochako smiled, "Okay, any plans? She asked.

"Just a few…." Midoriya said, "Kacchan will definitely come for me first, that means you have to make it to the bomb and secure it."

"Kacchan?!" The girl questioned, "You mean Ba-kun? Is that what you call him?"

"Yea, we used to be friends a long time ago and I've called him that since I've known him." Midoriya responded, looking suddenly determined.

"I'm gonna prove to him that I can stand by myself and be more than just his sidekick! That I can be a hero and not a deku!" He declared.

Ochako laughed, "Oh, a fated battle between men! You coulda just said that!" She jeered as the boy became flustered.

"Well I'll try my best to get the bomb from Iida if it works out how you think it will. But be careful, as over confident as he is, Ba-kun is really strong." She warned.

"I know, that's exactly why I have to win!" Midoriya said, just as the Horn blared.

HEROES! BEGAN INFILTRATION!

Izuku Midoriya

"Kacchan is probably waiting for us on one of the floors above us." Izuku whispered, his voice even further muffled by his black respirator. "There are 4 floors, so he is probably waiting on the 3rd floor."

He was preparing himself for the inevitable; he was at 80% with the fueling he got at the starting point.

He had noted all the equipment Mei had supplied him with…he was ready.

He and Uraraka moved quickly and quietly through the first and second floors before reaching the third. Before they climbed the last set of stairs, Izuku looked back at his partner.

"Once I engage Kacchan, you have to make a break for it." He said, moving ahead, not waiting for a response.

Once he stepped into the hallway, he saw him. Standing in the middle of the corridor, leaning against the wall, his intimidating orange and black suit looked perfect for his slender but muscular form.

"Took you long enough, DEKU!" The blonde figure sneers as he pushes off the wall to stand facing Izuku.

"I was starting to think I would have to come find you!" Kacchan growled, palms lightly sparking with explosive pops.

"I am here, Kacchan!" Izuku said proudly, his senses slowly sharpening.

He knew the battle would start soon.

"I wouldn't run from what I've wanted for so long!"

Kacchan threw his head back in laughter.

"Never thought I'd hear such tough talk for a DEKU!" the boy cackled, taking a step towards Izuku.

"Oi Ocha! Get the fuck out of here! I got some business to handle with deku! Four-eyes is waiting for you upstairs, and don't think he'll go easy on you cause you're cute like I do!" Katsuki roared, bursting into maniacal laughter again.

Izuku couldn't tell if he was just really excited or if he was taking his role as a villain too seriously.

Ochako stepped out from behind Izuku before taking off toward Kacchan.

"Wait! Uraraka!" Izuku yelled, but it was too late. She was already bolting towards the blonde.

She smirked as she slapped her hands together and cartwheeled into an aerial over the boy's head in a moon-bounce arc, landing behind him before continuing her sprint up the stairs.

Katsuki grinned, "Show off." He muttered, facing back towards Izuku. He began stepping towards his rival.

"Well, how bout we get started!" Kacchan spat, his walking pace slowly picking up into a run, charging at Izuku.

Izuku dropped into his stance, left arm out at hip level with his right arm up to protect his jaw. He managed one deep breath before Katsuki's right fist whizzed by his nose, Midoriya had parried it off course with his left, but Kacchan was upon him now.

Izuku could barely dodge the hail of straights and hooks that Kacchan was letting loose. He ducked, bringing his right shoulder down to evade another right palm-strike from Bakuguo.

Twisting his body back the other way, Izuku reversed the momentum from his dodge into a left-handed haymaker of an uppercut.

He threw it up toward the underside of Katsuki's chin, missing it by centimeters as the raging blonde yanked his head back to avoid losing it.

Kacchan swung back toward him, sending a stiff left jab past Izuku's defenses, connecting cleanly on his jaw.

He followed up with a right hook and a stiff palm strike to the throat; both were avoided as Izuku parried and weaved them before returning a flurry of kicks to the blonde's stomach and knees.

Kacchan took the blows without flinching, grinning at him as he sent a wild swing to Izuku's right flank, crushing his gut and ribs and sending him tumbling to the ground.

Izuku didn't stay down for long.

He rolled back to his feet as he dodged a soccer kick to the midsection from Katsuki, who growled as he followed up with a bombardment of wild swings that missed their target. Izuku had stepped back to dodge each one.

The retreating boy pushed off his back foot, stomping the ground and firing a karate-like straight punch from his hip, thudding into the advancing attacker's chest. This stopped Kacchan's forward momentum, almost knocking him off his feet.

The greenette used his punches momentum to follow up with a left high roundhouse kick to the head, feeling his shins slam against elbow and forearm as Katsuki blocked it.

Grabbing and pulling Izuku's leg to bring his prey towards him, Kacchan slammed his forearm & elbow into Izuku's temple, sending him stumbling backward as the blonde continued to pursue.

Midoriya steadied himself as he retreated, parrying, slipping, and blocking most of Katsuki's blows, only getting clipped by a few. Suddenly Kacchan shot his leg forward, teeping Izuku in the chest and sending his back flying into one of the hallway walls.

Kacchan wouldn't give him a moment to breathe as he followed Izuku to the wall, hammering punches and palm strikes to keep Izuku in place, unable to move from his cornered position.

Slowly but surely, Izuku was getting punished against the wall, his arms numb from blocking and deflecting Kacchans heavy strikes. The blonde was grinning madly as he continued throwing shots at all the vulnerable parts of Izuku's body.

The aggressive boy must have thought he was about to win because his blows became sloppy and predictable partway through the barrage.

Izuku would capitalize on this.

Reading the path of one of Katsuki's punches, Izuku let it slide past his face and body as he stepped into his opponent. He wrapped his arms around Kacchan's shoulders and neck, grabbing the back of his collar and orienting his body so that his forearm was on Katsuki's chin as he slid his foot behind the blonde's ankle.

He yanked Kacchan's collar backward and pushed his forearm into his face, tripping the larger boy and sending both of them hurling toward the ground.

Katsuki's brain was rattled as Izuku crashed his elbow into the blonde's jaw while he slammed him backward onto the back of his head.

Bakigou's vision went white, and he was stunned by the mild concussion Izuku had just delivered.

Straddling the injured boy, Izuku quickly pulled out the capture tape he had been given for the exercise, rushing to try and "capture" Kacchan while he was dazed.

He had no such luck as a large blast of heat and force sent him flying backward, thudding into the ceiling before he crashed to the floor.

There it was. Kacchan was getting serious now.

Izuku rolled to his stomach before pushing up back to his feet. He could see Katsuki moving on the ground, still wobbling from Izuku's slam, though he maintained a crazy grin.

"It seems you meant what you said earlier!" He barked, finally standing up and glaring at Izuku. Kacchan slammed his fist into his palm, igniting a small explosion, "Let's see what your useless quirk is! HERE I COME, DEKU!" he screamed as blasts propelled him at his foe.

Izuku reached into his parka pocket, hands wrapping around two long metal and rubber shafts as he pulled out his weapon. A black and green one-chuck that seemed to whistle and cut through the air, he spun it around his body and switched hands, holding one end at his waist and one above his shoulder behind his back.

Izuku could feel the fire in his stomach rising and getting hotter as Katsuki launched himself at him. The blonde's palm struck out at the green boy before a cacophonous explosion rocked the hallway, sending the green-haired boy sprawling backward on the ground.

The Heatseeker had timed his inhale to the blast, pulling the small strands of dissipating heat into his mouth.

He looked up to see his foe explode up above him before shooting down to stomp him into the ground.

Izuku had no time to dodge…

"Ignition!"

With the burst of speed and increased reaction time, Izuku managed to push out of the way just as Kacchan's knee embedded itself into the floor where his head had just been.

Izuku released the technique and inhaled sharply as he spun forward, rotating his arms and body to get maximum torque on his one-chuck strikes.

"HERE I COME, KACCHAN!" he screamed, activating Ignition just before each swing to increase the strength, speed, and force behind his strike.

The first two diagonal flashes of the weapon whiffed by Kacchan as he sidestepped.

Izuku spun his weapon faster, using his entire body to whip the one-chuck horizontally at his opponent's head. The sideways lash of the chained instrument struck Katsuki across the face, sending him to his back.

When Izuku tried to follow up with more overhead lashes, Katsuki let off two simultaneous explosions, one to push him up from the ground and the other to force the one-chuck wielder backward.

The blonde launched himself off the ground, flipping back to his feet as the green-haired boy charged him.

This time it was Kacchan on the defensive as he hadn't had much experience fighting against a weapon like this.

Each strike Izuku threw was either a knockout blow or was aimed at a pressure point or pain center. His rubber-coated weapon crunched into Katsuki's jaw, joints, fingers, ribs, and collarbone, causing the blonde to curl up his guard, not wanting to receive any more painful blows.

Kacchan stepped back, detonating a few minor explosions to try and create space between them, but Izuku won't let him.

Izuku opened his mouth and inhaled the heat from

the blasts, he still took the brunt of the concussive force, but he pushed through to continue slinging his one-chuck at his foe.

Four quick whips of Izuku's weapon left large bruises and welts on Kacchan's body, and his barrage wasn't over.

Still moving toward Katsuki, he quickly spat out a burst of unfocused flame to blind and disorient the retreating combatant. Dropping low into the blonde's blind spot as he reared back his one-chuck.

The flame licks at Katsuki's arms and face, singeing him and causing his retreat to become panicked. His guard dropped briefly in reaction to the heat.

This left him open to a vicious bone-cracking strike to his collar from the heavy metal and rubber bar, followed by a deft leg sweep that once again sent the blonde to the ground. Izuku burst through the center of the emerald flames, going for the finish.

He had to beat Kacchan.

"Ignition!"

His body sped up as he felt his blood and skin burning as he swung down towards the head of his rival.

*BOOM*

—-

All Might

Standing with his other students in the observation room, All Might was impressed.

He remembered these two boys from the Sludge Villain incident, and although he did encourage them to come to U.A., he cannot say that he expected them to place 1st and 3rd in the entrance exam or put on such an impressive performance during this exercise.

He watched with bated breath as the blonde unleashed a devastating explosion from his hands while on his back, sending his green pursuer slamming against the hallway walls.

The boys continued their battle as Bakugou jumped up and after the smaller boy, changing his rocketing trajectory mid-flight with well-placed and timed explosions. Young Bakugou flipped behind Midoriya, grabbing the green-headed boy before launching them both in the air with another blast, slamming the other boy against the ceiling.

A burst of fire separated the two boys as they fell, Young Midoriya tucking and rolling into his landing as the other boy slowed his descent with his quirk, patting out the flames on his suit as he landed.

The Bakugou boy's quirk and combat I.Q. are definitely greater than Young Midoriya's; All Might could see that with each clash and exchange of blows, Bakugou was getting faster and reacting to his opponent better.

However, the green student had obviously received better formal training, especially with how he handled that weapon. His clever thinking and superior tactics allowed him to keep up with his stronger classmate.

He again found himself enraptured in the battle as the green boy jumped back from Bakugou, fiddling with his mask before releasing a series of baseball size balls of fire that shot at the blonde.

Bakugou used his explosive movement to soar above the barrage and close the distance. Comboing two falling explosive palms with a kick to the face caught The Midoriya boy flat-footed and blew open his guard.

Katsuki followed up with a fierce and explosive uppercut that flattened out his opponent, and it seemed this battle would be concluded soon, All Might thought.

He turned his head to the other monitor, watching as the Uraraka girl and the Iida boy fought for control of the paper-mâché weapon. Iida dashed around holding it while Uraraka bounced from wall to ceiling to wall, trying to cut him off and secure the bomb.

"THEY ARE ALL DOING WELL!" All Might says aloud to the class; they all seemed as wrapped up in the battle as he did.

Pressing on the intercom button, All Might shouted into the mic.

"HEROES! 3 MORE MINUTES TILL DENOTATION!"

"HOW WILL OUR HEROES COME OUT VICTORIOUS!" he pondered aloud.

"LETS SEE IF THEY CAN GO PLUS ULTRA!"

Katsuki Bakugou

Katsuki's whole body was tingling with joy!

His rival hadn't disappointed him!

Even though Katsuki would never admit it, Deku had impressed him. He couldn't ask for a better practice dummy! No matter how many times he knocked him down, the nerd always got up again.

Besides, in pure quirkless combat, Deku definitely had the edge. Those sticks on a chain were hard to deal with and painful.

Katsuki's instincts alerted his senses of danger, pulling him from his thoughts.

He arched backward, avoiding another one of Deku's weapon flurries, releasing two medium-sized explosions in response to the miss.

Katsuki was starting to be able to read and predict the path of the bludgeoning weapon, easily dodging strikes that 3 minutes before would have knocked him out.

As Deku pulled back from his blasts, Katsuki pushed forward, slipping past a stream of fire sent in his direction from the other teen before landing a brutal palm strike to Izuku's solar plexus. An explosion shattered the air moments after, the "double" blow sending Deku and his weapon scattering away along the floor.

Katsuki smiled at the slowly standing boy in the winter gear, "Have to admit Deku, your quirk ain't bad. Not better than mine though." He said as he leaped forward, blasting the air at an angle to send his foot crashing into The other boy's head.

The room suddenly became hot.

It happened again, there was a sudden flash of heat, and Deku seemed to move faster than before, barely dodging out of the way before grabbing Katsuki's foot mid-air and spinning him toward the concrete.

Deku's grip seared Bakugou's ankle for a moment before he released him into the wall.

Katsuki's arms and elbows thudded into the concrete; he could barely react fast enough to protect himself from his collision.

Pushing off the wall, the bomber spun sideways before landing on his feet, having to weave a few swipes of Deku's weapon.

Katsuki was starting to get used to it!

Going on the offensive once again, Katsuki effortlessly dodges Izuku's one-chuck and unarmed strikes, punishing every miss with a hard palm and explosion.

Even the flashes of heat that seem to increase Deku's speed can't help the nerd land any more blows on him. Katsuki does notice that the flashes are getting less and less frequent.

"Deku probably can't use it as much as he wants," Katsuki thinks, "he's running out! And I'M JUST GETTING STARTED!"

Katsuki's battle lust was beginning to get out of control, while Deku's swings became more desperate. He was almost chasing after Katsuki.

But Bakugou was done playing around.

Stepping into Deku, Katsuki slammed a fist into his gut before opening his hand and blasting him. As Deku doubled over, Katsuki slammed his knee into his face sending him reeling backward.

Katsuki then clapped as he let off a massive explosion in each hand, creating a hot and concussive shockwave that blew Izuku off his feet.

The blonde releases a barrage of explosive palms on the boy before mounting him.

He began raining blows down on the prone Izuku.

"FIGHT BACK DEKU! FIGHT BACK! SHOW ME! SHOW ME!" he cackled as his punches slowly began breaking Deku's guard, landing on his face.

"I TOLD YOU'LL NEVER BEAT ME! YOU'LL ALWAYS BE A DEKU!" he screamed as his fist pounded the boy's face.

—-

Izuku Midoriya

He was hurt. He was at 34%. He was currently being beaten into the ground by his former best friend.

Izuku was doing his best to block the thunder of blows thrown at his head, but he was taking too much damage. His vision was fading in and out, and all his senses were muddled like he was underwater, so he could barely see his attacker let alone hear his screams.

The only sounds he could hear were his own heartbeat and the loud cheerful voice of All Might over the loudspeaker,

"HEROES! 1 MINUTE TILL DETONATION!"

All Might's voice brought Izuku back to the moment.

He had to win!

"IGNITION!" Izuku screamed aloud, flooding the rest of his energy into his veins.

He jerked his neck out of the way of another punishing blow from above, Katsuki's fist striking into the concrete, causing the blonde to flinch at the pain.

Izuku used that moment to grab the back of Katsuki's head and yank it down as he threw the hardest part of his head into the other boy's nose.

Katsuki's wild instincts allowed him to react and tilt his head down enough that the blow hit his forehead instead, protecting his nose and weaker facial bones and mitigating the damage but still causing him great pain.

Katsuki's hands shot to his head as he let out a pained howl, falling over off of Izuku, who rolled up to his feet and released his technique.

The greenette began running toward the stairwell on the other side of the building.

He had to help them win! He just didn't know how yet; all he could do was make space between himself and Kacchan to give himself time to think.

Behind him, he heard the angry roar of Kacchan screeching out at him as he ran.

"FUCK THIS! YOU WANNA RUN BITCH?! RUN FROM THIS!" he screamed, voice tearing in anger.

It was silent for an instant; Izuku could only hear the soft hollow clink of what sounded like a grenade pin.

His head whirled around to see Kacchan standing there, arm raised toward him.

Blood was coming down Kacchans face as he screamed and braced himself, his gauntlet erupting with an explosive force.

It shattered the walls, ceiling, and floor as it traveled down the hallway toward Izuku.

"Ignition"

Izuku squeezed his remaining 11% into the push-off for his run as he adjusted his path. Instead of running to the stairwell, he began heading toward the large window a few feet to the left of it.

Although Ignition shields him from the pain, the boy could feel the snapping of ligaments in his ankle and foot as his muscles flexed beyond their natural strength to propel him forward.

He could feel the heat in his belly disappear as the heat from the explosion gained on him.

In the brief seconds before he smashed through the window and was hit by the shockwave and flashing heat of the gigantic blast, Izuku pushed off the ground once again. Spinning his body to face the explosion, a plan had come to him on the fly, but there was a chance it could work.

His hand flew to the dial on his respirator as he inhaled deeply.

The explosion hit him as he hit the window, rupturing the hallway it was fired through and bursting out, sending concrete and glass flying out the broken window along with Izuku's rocked and battered body.

He was still inhaling; the majority of the heat from the explosion had made its way into his gullet. That didn't change the fact that he was barely conscious from the blast's pure concussive force, the whistling wind the only thing keeping him awake.

His limp body was falling out of the 3rd story window towards the ground.

He felt stuffed, almost back to 60%. His plan could still work. It would all be up to Uraraka now.

He inhales one last time, still picking up speed as he falls. He had set his respirator to the right setting. He hoped it was enough.

Lifting his head toward the building and blowing with all his Might, he fired a lower-powered Blazer Lazer, the flame focused by his respirator, allowing him to cut a diagonal line in the supports of the already weakened 3rd floor. This causes the 4th-floor foundation to side at an angle.

"GO FOR IT, URARAKA!" He screamed voice lost over the sound of one side of the building sliding and crumbling.

With his remaining strength, he tried to fiddle on his waist for BABY 76, now was as good a time as any to see if it worked.

—-

Ochako Urakaka

On the top floor of the building, Uraraka and Iida's combat had intensified, with Iida zipping back and forth, kicking Uraraka to the ground, trying to convince her to surrender as she still went for the weapon.

Suddenly the floor begins to slide from under them. This causes Iida to crash into a wall as he couldn't stop his dashes fast enough on a downhill.

The bomb began sliding down towards Ochako, threatening to tip over and tumble.

The brunette dashed for the weapon, tapping herself and jumping along the slowly tilting room. Iida struggled to stand behind her, barely able to he to the uncollapsed portion of the room, hanging on the edge for dear life.

Ochako pushed off the tilted ground and tackled the weapon using her quirk to make it, and herself float into the air.

As she floated above the partially crumbled building, she could hear Ba-kun raging from the lower floor as he dodged the crumbling debris.

She sighed, raising her hands in victory. THEY WON! And She was trying not to cry.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a green blur falling towards the ground.

Is that Midoriya? She wondered.

Unable to move from her current situation, she released her quirk on the bomb to weigh her weightless body back down to the ground.

She could see the green-suited boy's body tense as a sharp spiked grappling hook fired from his waist into a nearby wall. The grappling hook pierced into the concrete before a device on his hip reeled and slammed his limp body straight into the wall.

Is that how it's supposed to work?!

"That looked like it hurt!" Ochako thinks as her feet touch the ground. She released her ability on herself as she set down the bomb before Running over to the boy who now was hanging limply 15 ft off the ground.

His emerald eyes looked down at her before he broke into a smile, giving her a thumbs up.

Ochako laughed aloud, returning the gesture with a smile.

BOMB ACQUIRED & NEUTRALIZED! HEROES WIN!
