"Ugghhhh..."

From his black out, he couldn't remember what he was doing. Waking up, he soon heard birds chirping around him. The unconscious male is a 19 year-old teenager. He is African American with brown eyes and black hair in the form of waves. His name is Seth. The formerly unconscious teenager rubbed his head, trying to remember how he got here.

Exiting the store of GameStop, Seth couldn't help but smile nonstop as he held in his hand the game he has been waiting for all year: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Upon seeing the trailer, he couldn't help but fanboy during the reveal. He kept up with many updates, leaks, everything that had to do with the fifth installment. Getting home, he immediately unboxed it and placed the cartridge into his Nintendo Switch. He was beyond excited to play the game.

What he didn't take into account was the fact that when he installed the cartridge, his Nintendo Switch started to shake uncontrollably. Having seen Jumanji, Seth immediately took a step back before a swirling light began to pixelate him.

Freaking out, the pixelation sped up and consumed him into the game.

Seth recalled getting here now. The game had given him a real life taste of Jumanji and now he was no doubt stuck in the digital world.

"Okay, so I'm in the World of Trophies. With characters. That have both supernatural abilities and powers. That fight," Seth said aloud before fully wrapping his head around the fact, he was in the literal video game.

And he gave an appropriate reaction.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" The scream echoed across the world of the human before fainting.

Holding the severed head of their enemy, a dark Knight hurled the head at his master before bowing in the presence.

"My, my," a feminine voice echoed in the pitch black of her domain, "You have done well, Knight," she congratulated before addressing the head, "I told you. You should have aligned yourself with me. Look where it got it."

Her hand emitted a dark aura as she used her powers to create a black pool that slowly decomposed the head and reduced it to ashes. She turned before the Knight and asked him to raise.

"For someone who is to fight chivalrous, you sure know how to be ruthless," She sat on her throne, appraising the Knight for his work and dismissed her servant. She would have gone back to raveling in the darkness but that would have to wait as her top lieutenants entered her presence.

"Ah~ My favorites," she addressed before greeting them, "To what do I own the pleasure?"

"Mistress," the Fighter spoke with uncertainty, "We believe they have arrived."

Any pleasant but malicious tone in her voice was gone, now replaced by a serious and cold tone, "Are you certain..."

"We are afraid so," the Rogue said, "Mage sensed the presence of the Chosen champion."

"Is that so?"

The Mage took their turn, "Indeed Ma'am."

She had heard about the Champion. She was biding her time, slowly expanding her forces. Well, not anymore.

"Prepare every class. And get the False Smashers ready. No mercy when you find whoever they are. Scorch the World of Trophies if you have to," she ordered and the lieutenants were dismissed.

"Whoever they are, they will fall. And my reign will continue as long as I please... which will be for eternity," she let out an evil cackle that morphed into a laugh over her domain.

Seth woke up again, seeing his scenery for the second time, before realizing that this is all real. He had been Jumanji'd in some way and now he had to figure out of a way of freeing himself from the game if he was to live.

Right now, he had to assess the situation. Looking down at his clothes, he had a new outfit. From what he could tell, Seth was now wearing a Smash Bros. t-shirt and hoodie (like the Mii costume) with jeans. He had black combat gloves and boots from the looks of it. He also had a backpack that miraculously appeared.

"Okay, for starters, I think I look good in this outfit," he complimented himself before addressing the real problem, "Secondly, what the heck am I suppose to now? It's not like I have an objective."

Seeing his backpack, Seth just hoped for the best and searched through it. What was inside both gave him some hope and confusion.

There was a letter and a Nintendo Switch also present. He was curious why a Switch would be out here of all things, but the letter may have his objective, so he took it out and read it.

"Dear Reader of this Letter,

If you are reading this, that must mean you have been chosen.

The World of Trophies is in peril. A threat that has been foretold for centuries. You must help us defend this world or she will spread to the ends of the universe before finding your own dimension and conquer it for herself. Your tasks are

-Find the fighters

- master the elements

- save the World of Trophies

This is a grave mission that will take your gifts to your full potential.

You must hurry! For you are our last hope...

The letter had been torn off from that left Seth confused.

Gifts? He had no such gifts. And find the fighters? That would take who knows how long given the roster. And would that include some alternate versions?

Seth just needed a minute to relax and find some shelter to stay for a few days. Perhaps find a bed to wake himself up from this nightmare.

Many minutes or hours later (he wasn't sure since he didn't have his watch), Seth eventually found a village...

Or rather what was left of it.

The village looked like it had been scorched to no return. Burn marks were present along the exterior and roofs of the straw huts. No survivors unless they had been slaughtered or fled. Broken home decors were all over the place. And the huts had been reduced to rubble and ruins.

Seth swallowed a lump in his throat, scared with what had become of the village. He doubt there were any survivors from the outcome of the area. There were even a few dead bodies in the vacancy but the transported human steeled his nerves to the best of his abilities.

But then he heard the sobs of a child.

The chance of a potential survivor made him call out to whoever was there. He tried to pinpoint where the cries were and eventually came across a little girl crying in a small, burnt house. She was buried in her knees, clutching them for dear life. He approached carefully, "Hey, hey," with a calming voice to soothe her before getting her attention. The girl continued to cry and Seth made an effort to put a reassuring hand on her shoulder. Granted, he didn't know much about this new world or even if he had the right sources to care for them, but still he was determined to try something.

Though that would have helped if the girl's sobs didn't turn into a series of giggles.

"Wow... you are so easy to fool..." the girl said with a more masculine tone which Seth gave an eyebrow rise to. Easy to fool? He was not that gullible but he wasn't incline to tell the girl that. But he felt his hand... seemingly pass through the child.

The girl's giggles turned to a laugh as she uncurled herself before vanishing. Seth was given no time to react to act of disappearing as he heard the falling of an object. And by the noise, it sounded like a large object... targeted for his current position.

Seth bolted away from the site just as the object hit, and it seemed to be an explosive because he felt a shockwave from an explosion. The shockwave knocked him to the floor but he was able to get up. He turned around and saw the hut had been incinerated from the explosion.

"Looks like you missed," a voice said.

"At least he fell for the illusion," retorted a second voice.

"He doesn't even look like much," remarked a third voice before hearing an unsheathing of something. "But he will die today."

"To what exactly?" the first voice said.

"Does it matter?" the second voice before there was a small yet audible cracking of knuckles, "With him out the way, she will run this world."

Seth didn't like how much he was being put down but refused to be insulted. But that last claim made him wonder who 'she' is.

"Alright, I don't enjoy the assumptions you... three said but if you want a fight? Then come and get!" Seth declared before getting in a karate-stance. Having taken 7 years of karate, he could put up with a fight. Even though it was mostly for self-defense.

"Well, the kid thinks he could beat us in a fair fight... I like our odds now," the third voice said.

Seth heard nothing but the wind for a few seconds before a bandaged fist came out of nowhere. Seth barely dodged the fist before a gleam got his attention. He ran out of the way of a small knife before feeling the wind pick up and create a tornado at his feet.

Seth was sent into the air and the bandaged fist came back with another fist. Seth felt blows hit him nonstop, each striking a part of his body. Much to his surprise, he didn't feel the pain as bad as he thought. Perhaps he had some sort of enhanced durability now? A drop kick to his stomach while in the air brought him down to the ground. Getting back up, a series of swift strikes blitzed the defenseless teenager and the receiver went to his knees. Again, he felt a sense of stronger durability than in the real world.

"Handled that did you now," the third voice said as it appeared from the hiding position. It revealed a dark red robed mage with a wand in its hand. The bandaged fists person dropped from their position, revealing to have the same color garb of the mage but looked like a fighter or brawler of some sort. The knife-wielding user also dropped from their position who was also decked in same color garb but looked more like a rogue or thief.

If Seth didn't know any better, he would have assumed he was in a Dungeons and Dragons world. But then he remembered he was in a copy of Super Smash Bros, Ultimate, so why were classes from the infamous role-playing game in this world?

The thought was put on halt as the Mage casted a fireball at the human. Alarmed, Seth dove out of the way of the fire attack and ducked behind a clothesline from the Fighter. The nineteen year old yelped as the Rogue attempted to cut him.

Now Seth never experienced how to knife fight so he was at a disadvantage. Things got worse is the fact the Fighter aided the Rogue with punches of his own. Whenever Seth avoided one, he barely dodged the other. This went on for a while until the Mage thought of a way to end the human. Plunging his staff into the ground, the magic user erupted an earth fist that socked Seth right into the air.

He came crashing down into a burned hut and felt his body ache. While he did discover his newfound durability, Seth writhe in pain from the earth attack and exhaustion from dodging.

He knew this would be fruitless if he continued to fight. These three were out for blood and wouldn't stop until he is dead. The reasons being oblivious to him since he just got here.

"Hey! Over here-a!"

He rubbed his head in confusion, hearing what sounded like an Italian accent. Maybe he had been here too long and was going crazy.

"Look over here!"

A second voice was there now. Seth began to think he really was going insane. Or maybe he landed to hard.

"Poyo!"

The third made him not sure. But gears started to turn in his head. He only knew one character who makes that sound.

"K.. Kir... Kirby?" Seth whispered with exhaustion.

"Poyo!"

"At least he can hear us," the second voice said.

"Better-a than nothing," the Italian voice said before shouting, "Turn to your left!"

Seth did as the voice said, now thinking the Italian voice is no other than the red plumber himself. He looked in the general direction, only seeing an intact vase. The choice of the pottery was odd but he kept looking around.

"Have you found us yet?" the second voice asked.

"Ummm..." Seth sheepishly said.

"Can you not-a see us?"

"I wouldn't say see..."

"But you can hear us?"

"Yes..." He figured he was either losing his mind again or maybe he had a concussion from the fall.

Seth figured lying on the floor was helping with finding the three voices so he willingly got off the ground albeit with pain all over. Holding his stomach with one of his hands, he limped over to help find the three voices, two he could deduce while the third avoided him. But he had to work quick, no doubt those three are still out for him. Managing to stand, Seth walked his way to the sources and leaned on the vase's desk.

"What-a are you await-a for?" the Italian voice said.

"Well, I'm practically flying blind because I don't even know where you three are," Seth exasperated. It wasn't that he was too lazy to search, like before he is tired and bruised. He thought about reaching in his backpack, that had been on the whole time, but he remembered there being nothing with medical equipment in it.

Seth's eyes caught a glint of red on an intact shelf behind the vase. Curious on what it is, he picked it up. Holding it in his hand, he found it had mushroom icon on it.

"Huh? What's this?" His thoughts were cancelled when the Fighter smashed through the front door with a side-kick.

"There you are," the dark red bruiser snarled and crackled his knuckles again.

Seth froze with fear. He was lucky that he would most like have broken bones and a bruised body to die from than knife slashes or whatever magic the Mage had.

"Mama Mia!" the Italian voice said before a serious tone developed, "Quick! Throw me on the ground! Hard!"

Seth didn't question the command, too startled with fear and lost all reason. The nineteen year-old did as he threw the red object in his hand to the floor. What he didn't see was the shock reaction in the Fighter's eyes.

The moment Seth threw the red thing to the ground, a blinding light appeared that both characters had to shield their eyes from it. And Seth could have sworn he heard an infamous phrase: "Let's-a-go!"

The light died down to see the one and only Super Mario, glaring at the Fighter.

A/N: A new Super Smash Bros. story with a single OC as the main character. I have been working on this story here and there for a few months now. This was inspired by "Calamity of Subspace" by Pokebrawler09. I will be using a variety of other medias to relate to like Avatar: The Last Airbender, Dungeons and Dragons, Marvel Disk Wars, and more.

The Hero Medals idea was from Mii V Mii series by Nintendo Wire.

No flames.
