The first sunrays brushed over Seoul. Chan-sung trudged towards the bus station. He took a last fugitive glance towards the place where he'd discovered such an amazing world. His soul hurt upon the desolation of the spot. Her departure had sucked him of all the energy. Too tired to cry and too confused to register what happened he sat down waiting for a bus that would take him far away.

"What happened?" Sanchez asked as he noticed the grief on his friend. "All the week you've been a bit sad and distracted."

"She left." It was all Chun-song was able to mutter. "I'm not going to see her again. I don't know how I'm going to get used not to seeing her again." He went on after a while. For the first time, he let the tear run free on his face.

"What do you mean? Is she..?"

Chan-sung didn't get time to answer as he heard his name called by an unknown man.

"Mr. Goo. " Chang-sung turned around and noticed that three men had entered in Sanchez's garden. "Who is Mr. Goo?" One of them asked.

"I am." Chan-sung wiped his tears and went to greet the men.

"Miss Jang left you her possessions and I come to hand you the documents. He," the first man pointed towards another man, "Mr. Wu is going to help you take possession of them. It's about a house, three cars some expensive jewels and ….Couldn't we speak into a more private place, please?"

"Of course. Come inside. I'm a bit distracted. I'm sorry. Mr…"

"Yoon"

"Mr. Yoon, come inside."

Chan-song couldn't help wondering how she managed to contact a lawyer without his help, but Sanchez, as if guessing his thoughts, whispered to him. "I was wondering why she needed a lawyer. Did she know?" Chan-sung nodded.

"She knew for a long time she would have to go. So did I, but I've tried to look strong so she would be able to leave in peace. I didn't want her to worry about me."

Yoo-na found it difficult to focus on her classes. She tried to hold back the tear that didn't seem to stop. She cared little what her colleagues would think, but she was so lonely… lonelier than ever. She had nothing to wait for. She had no friends, no home, but she couldn't give up. She had promised to him. Promised to the goddess.

Eventually, the classes finished. Yoo-na had given her best to pay attention, but the ghosts had been so noisy and her mind kept running away.

She climbed down the school stairs. She intended to walk a bit before going back home and lock inside her room, hoping that she would find the strength to do her homework. It had been so easy when Hyun-joong had used to help her.

"Yoo-na," she heard someone calling her name. It was Chang-sung. "Do you feel like walking a bit?" He invited her as she was close to him.

"Chang-sung, how are you? She left, didn't she?" He nodded. "I don't have anything better to do."

"You must be hungry. What do you want to eat?"

"I'm not hungry."

"Neither do I" He admitted," but … you need the energy to learn. Do you need any help with your homework?"

"Well,….I…I don't remember what I have to do… Did you enjoy school time?"

"Let's go to eat something and we'll see what we can do with your homework," Chang-sung suggested.

"Why are you doing that? Helping me."

"I supposed you must feel lonely and … I don't have anything better to do. I don't have the energy to apply for a new job. Honestly, I hardly found the energy to leave the bed. Sanchez hasn't recovered from Veronica's death and I'm not a good company for him. "

"I guess I'll need some help. Thank you, Chang-sung!"

"I want you to know you can always call me or come around. If you ever need someone to talk with. I haven't met your…her parents, but it must be difficult."

"It was easier when Hyun-joong was here, but…Honestly, I didn't want to go home."

"I can't help you much, but take you away for a while."

"Thank you, Chang-sung!"

"Let's go. Sanchez promised to prepare some pizza for us."

"She is still crossing the bridge." He thought as he watched his own reflection in the mirror. It had been a week and instead of getting easier, the pain got more unbearable as he understood he would have to go on without her. Success or failure she wouldn't be there for him. And yet he was applying for the job she'd wanted him to have. That thought gave him some sort of comfort, but also a pain, words couldn't describe.

He washed his face once again, took a deep breath, and hurried to take the car keys. The red car keys. Man-wol's favorite. He took another breath in and hurried towards the door.

"I've prepared the breakfast," Sanchez announced to him as he saw Chan-sung rushing out. "You need to eat. Anyway, it's too early for the interview." The interview was only a formality as Mrs. Hwang Moon-sook had promised him that position the last time they saw each other.

Sanchez had tried his best to console him from the moment he understood Man-wol had left this world. She'd once asked him to take care of Chan-sung if she were to die, but he hadn't had the slightest idea that both she and Chun-sung had known at the time that she would have to cross the bridge and leave Chan-sung alone.

Chang-sung cast a glance towards the table. He wondered how early Sanchez had to wake up in order to have everything ready on time. Chang-sung didn't feel like eating, but it wasn't fair to waste Sanchez's effort and so he sat down and started to eat.

"Thank you, Sanchez." He said.

"There's no great deal. You helped me with Veronica and…I wished you never had to…Did you know then?"

"I knew from my first days there that my purpose was to help her leave this world, but I didn't think it would so difficult. But I'm happy she managed to leave safely. I was so afraid she might do something stupid and get turned into ash. I think I was more afraid of that than of letting her go. She must be happy now. Crossing the bridge. She promised she would save some memories, but…there's a long walk and…but I'm sure we're going to find a way to meet again in our future lives."

They hadn't talked much about Man-wol and her departure. Sanchez had tried to give him some time to mourn and avoid pressing him with questions. He only made sure Chan-sung knew he could rely on him and that he would eat something.

"Do you still see ghosts?" Sanchez asked, "You aren't going to return to that hotel, are you? The hotel still exists, doesn't it?"

"Yes, the hotel still exists and yes, I can still see ghosts, but the new owner had nothing to do with me. I don't even know who he is. Man-wol gave me a cure so I can go on with my life, but I couldn't take it and I keep thinking Yoo-na may need it more than me."

"She seems a nice girl. I'm sorry I haven't met her before."

"She is very lonely since Hyun-joong had left and…I admired her for trying so hard to continue her studies."

"It must be difficult to leave in the body of her assassin and have to pretend to be the daughter of the parents of that girl."

"I think she feels a bit guilty for inhabiting someone's body even if that girl died because of her parent's decision and not because of her. I don't doubt she would have forgiven her if only the real Yoo-n would have regretted her actions. But as it is, she tries to take advantage of this second chance. Yet the ghost didn't make it easy for her."

"What about you then? You need to have a normal life, too."

"I'll deal with the ghosts. I didn't stay at the hotel just for Man-wol. I discovered a lot of interesting stories and I helped some spirits back then. Maybe, I can help a bit now, too. I've got this gift. I don't think I should waste it."

"So, you intend to find the new hotel?"

"No…I don't know. But I don't want to cut all my bridges to that world anyway. She or he must have an interesting story if Mago decided to offer them the drink."

"I rather don't know."
