Another poem. This time it's about Kurama.

DISCLAIMER: Don't own.

Just a note: I know this has been used as a title so many times it's practically a cliché, but I thought it was the best way to describe our favorite Spirit Fox. So…

Every Rose Has Its Thorns

Every rose has its thorns.
Beauty always has a dark side.
Good hides evil.
Darkness shadows light.

In the shadow of Shuichi Minamino lurks Yoko Kurama.
Demon thief, ruthless killer, Spirit Fox.
Assumed to be long dead, but risen in, of all things,
The body of a human, teenage boy.

Running came before walking.
Knowledge came before learning.
Beginnings and endings swirled, blended.
All because of the demon that lived inside him.

The demon inside of him was what led to his stealing
The Forlorn Hope, to save his mother.
His human mother.
And that led to meeting the Spirit Detective.

Fates crossed, new friends were made, old enemies resurfaced.
Shuichi soon tried to leave Yoko behind, on the battlefield
Where he fought Shigure, the demon surgeon.
But he found…he could not.

For Yoko will always be there, to overshadow Shuichi
Just as Shuichi will always be there, to eclipse Yoko.
So the fox is continuously held between them, known only as one person:

Kurama.

Crappy, I know. Review, please?
