In this chapter, help will arrive. And then Zoey will start going to different worlds. That's part of the fun of Kingdom Hearts, in my opinion.

For now though she'll be facing off against the Darkside. No point in allowing it to attack her friends.

Luckily, she will not have to face it alone.

And yes, I know that Sora faced the Darkside alone in canon.

But then again, Roxas did not face the Darkside alone either, did he?

I figured Zoey could have traveling companions like Sora did.

I don't think they'll always be Donald and Goofy though. There are other Total Drama characters that I can work with...assuming they wish to take the fight to the Heartless.

But for the time being, Zoey will be the only one with the keyblade.

Chapter 3: Reinforcements

The campers were currently trying to get away from the Heartless that had appeared.

It was surprising how things had gone from peaceful to threatening.

The darkness in Chris's heart had attracted a lot of Heartless, it seemed. Maybe she would have been better off if she hadn't come back to the show. Then again, a million dollars wasn't something that you were offered every single day.

Things had gotten chaotic very fast. Even more so than usual.

"It's times like this when I wish I weren't so chubby..." remarked Owen as he ran away from the Heartless.

"Being an athlete has its perks, y'know?" pointed out Lightning.

"I want my mother!" exclaimed Cameron.

"Why doesn't that surprise me?" questioned Jo.

Seeing as her friends were in danger of becoming Heartless themselves, Zoey decided that she would be a hero once again.

Chef Hatchet was fending off the Heartless with his meat cleaver, but something told her he could not fend them off alone. Especially since there was a giant Heartless roaming around.

After all, he would still be a Heartless if it weren't for her.

Zoey launched a fireball at the Darkside's face.

It instinctively covered its face with its hand.

She then struck it in the legs.

"Hopefully this will give my friends some time to escape." spoke Zoey.

Fortunately, the Darkside turned its attention to her for the moment.

It launched homing missiles at her.

Zoey quickly rolled out of the way.

However, it then scooped up an orb of darkness, which split into multiple orbs.

Zoey simply could not dodge them all.

"Ow!" exclaimed the redhead as she was hit by one.

This Heartless was not playing around.

Unfortunately for Zoey, the Darkside summoned several Shadows for support.

The Shadows began to rush towards the Keyblade warrior.

"I'm not sure I can take on this Heartless alone..." questioned Zoey.

It was rather big.

And it was stronger than the Crazed Cook.

Not to mention all the Shadows that it was summoning. Even if they did drop HP orbs whenever she took one down. It seemed that she was outnumbered. Hopefully someone would show up and lend her a hand.

But who could help her fight that Heartless?

Well, there was Chef obviously.

But was there anyone else?

Suddenly, Donald and Goofy showed up.

"Gawrsh, things are going downhill for this world!" exclaimed the dog.

Donald nodded.

It was fortunate that they had shown up when they did.

Otherwise, this world might have ended up being destroyed. It would be sad if this place met the same fate as Destiny Islands. It made for a decent vacation spot.

Zoey was surprised at what she was seeing.

"Is that a talking dog and duck?" asked the teenage girl.

What were the chances of that?

Then again, she had encountered mutant animals before the first time that she had competed on Total Drama. It was fortunate that she had made it out in one piece.

So perhaps it wasn't so unbelievable.

For some strange reason, these animals were wearing clothes. One of them was wielding a staff and the other was wielding a shield, as well. It seemed one of them was a magician and one of them was a knight. Though if the dog was a knight, where was his sword?

Fortunately, it turned out that the duck and the dog were on their side.

They were attacking the Darkside.

Wait, weren't these two from Disney?

They had been around since before she was born. Goofy had been around before Mickey, in fact.

It wasn't obvious, but it was true. Though for whatever reason Mickey Mouse was still king. He had become more famous than Goofy himself, it seemed.

She decided that she would help them out.

After all, she got the feeling that they were on the same side.

Donald cast Thunder on the Darkside.

It attempted to punch him in retaliation, but Goofy blocked the attack.

He then followed by hitting it with his shield.

This caused the Darkside to bend its knees.

Zoey then hit in the face with a keyblade.

The Darkside commanded the Shadows, but Goofy swung his shield around to make a whirlwind.

This took care of the Shadows.

Zoey then leapt and struck the Darkside in the face once again.

The Darkside evaporated into darkness.

"Phew!" exclaimed the redhead.

Hopefully now her friends would be safe.

A cloud of darkness appeared, though it vanished quickly. As the cloud disappeared, it was discovered that Chris Maclean had turned back to normal.

Though that wasn't that much of an improvement. No doubt he would come up with more crazy challenges for the campers to compete in. Perhaps some of them would be as dangerous as the Heartless themselves.

"What happened?" asked Chris.

Unbeknownst to him, he had met the same fate as Chef.

"We've been looking for you!" exclaimed Donald.

"Is it because of my new keyblade?" asked Zoey.

"It sure is!" nodded Goofy.

It seems that now that she had it, she was attracting all sorts of attention.

"We were hoping you could help us." spoke Donald.

"With what?" asked Zoey.

"There are other worlds that are in danger of being overtaken by the Heartless!" exclaimed Goofy.

"There are other worlds?" asked the indie chick. She found that to be very surprising. Who would have thought it?

"So will you help us?" questioned Donald. The more people that they had to fight the Heartless, the merrier. And the less likely worlds would be lost to the darkness.

As tempting as it was to stay behind to win a million dollars, Zoey knew that she had to stop the Heartless from claiming more victims.

The fact that they had spread so widely was alarming, to say the very least. The fact that they were in one world was bad enough. But at least something could be done about them.

Not only that, but she wouldn't have to fight the Heartless alone.

"I accept." nodded Zoey.

"Great!" exclaimed Goofy.

There was already Keyblade wielders who were fighting the Heartless (such as Kairi, for example), but having another one didn't hurt.

Suddenly, Zoey remembered something.

'I should say goodbye before I go somewhere else." noted the redhead.

After all, her friends were going to miss her.

And there was a chance that she would not come back.

She hoped that she would see them again someday.

But for the time being, she had to fight the Heartless.

Donald nodded. It had been hard for him to leave behind his nephews, though they could be mischievous sometimes. Babysitting them was still preferable to babysitting Baby Shelby, but he had to keep an eye on all three of them at once.

On the lighter side of things, their business was pretty successful.

It seemed that they had inherited their Uncle Scrooge's talent.

"Goodbye everyone. I'd like to stay, but I got matters to attend to." spoke Zoey.

Her friends waved goodbye to her.

Donald and Goofy took Zoey aboard their Gummi Ship.

"I haven't seen a ship like this." noted the redhead.

It wasn't like the Boat of Losers, that was for sure.

Apparently, this was what they used to travel between worlds. And how they managed to get to Camp Wawanakwa in the first place.

The Disney duo customed it regularly to make it easier for them to fight Heartless. There were loads of different combinations that they could use, though there was a limit to how many gummi blocks they could attach to it.

Zoey noted that for some strange reason, all of these worlds seemed to be based off of Disney movies. Though there were a few that were based off Pixar movies.

She wasn't sure why.

Wait, there was an exception.

It was known as Hollow Bastion.

Some of these worlds were based on Pixar movies, but Disney bought Pixar.

Perhaps she should go to the Toy Story world.

After all, Toy Story was a classic movie.

It's what had essentially made Pixar famous.

And it had been followed by three sequels.

Or maybe she should go to the Dwarf Woodlands. She would like to meet the seven dwarves...except for maybe Grumpy. He probably wouldn't like having visitors.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the first movie Disney made, after all. Though the Dwarf Woodlands didn't appear in the first Kingdom Hearts game. They had decided to include other worlds instead.

So perhaps it would be a good start for her.

What should she choose?

Meanwhile, at Mortimer's Castle...

Mortimer's Castle was similar in structure to Mickey's. However, it was far darker.

Though Mortimer was sure that he would win the war against King Mickey, he had taken precautions to ensure that the castle was well-defended.

There were powerful Heartless around.

Zoey wouldn't be able to take them down at her current level, that was for sure. Even though she had Donald and Goofy on her side.

There was a statue of Mortimer in the center of the castle.

Inside the statue's head, Mortimer and his minions were having a meeting.

He had a council of villains...similar to the one Maleficent had.

However, these villains did not originate from Disney movies.

"It looks like as if another Keyblade wielder has been chosen." spoke the Mad Doctor.

He was infamous for the experiments he did. He wasn't unlike Xehanort.

"Hahahhahahaha!" laughed Baby Shelby.

Yes, Baby Shelby was one of Mortimer's minions.

Was it a surprise that he was evil? It hadn't stopped him from being on the House of Mouse...but then again, all sorts of villains went to the House of Mouse.

Donald used to babysit him, but when he realized that Shelby was planning world domination, he decided it would be in his best interest to get a new job.

Luckily, King Mickey was willing to give him one.

Long story short, Baby Shelby was a maniac. And he had to be stopped.

"You think that she'll pose a threat?" asked Glomgold.

He was one of Scrooge McDuck's enemies.

Mortimer had promised him treasure if he joined his cause.

But unfortunately for him, he was still not as rich as Scrooge himself was.

Nevertheless, Glomgold did not wish to face Mortimer's wrath by trying to steal from his treasury.

He knew better than that.

Especially since it was guarded by a dragon Heartless.

"To be honest, I'm not impressed." answered Mortimer.

She had taken down a Darkside, sure...but the dark king had far stronger Heartless than that.

Mortimer wondered if he could corrupt one of Zoey's friends.

It had worked well with Maleficent.

But then again, he wasn't sure which one he should choose. Though some of the contestants on Total Drama were more corruptible than others.

"Anyone want to deal with this keyblade wielder? To me, I don't think she would be a challenge." remarked Magica De Spel.

Magica De Spel was a fearsome mage. Unlike Donald Duck, she had chosen to use magic for evil.

"I could go, but I need to look after my sons." spoke Ma Beagle.

She wondered why they never seemed to be able to pull off robbing Scrooge McDuck.

Perhaps she should do what Magica De Spel did and focus on stealing one of his precious belongings instead of going after the money bin. Maybe that would be easier.

Like Glomgold, the Beagle Boys had been promised treasure.

"Hahahahahaha!" laughed Baby Shelby.

"Do you wish to take on this keyblade warrior?" asked Magica De Spel.

Baby Shelby nodded.

It would be fun to fight her along with her friends.

And he had a variety of weapons for the task.

It was surprising what he could fit in his shell.

The evil turtle left to go fight Zoey.

He assumed that she would be no match for him, despite his young age.

On the gummi ship, Donald felt a chill creep down his spine.

It was ominous, to say the least.

Would Shelby win? Or would he lose?

Time would tell.

There sure are a lot of possibilities, huh?

In my opinion, part of what makes Kingdom Hearts fun is all the worlds you get to explore.

Olympus wasn't much of a world in Kingdom Hearts though. It was just a coliseum.

But Kingdom Hearts III sure fixed that, didn't it?

I guess they listen to their fans.

In the next chapter, we'll see which world Zoey chooses.

And yes, the reviewers will get to decide (if they do decide to review this fanfic)...though I will admit people haven't reviewed this fanfic yet.

I figured I would include Donald and Goofy in this fanfic (seeing as though they're iconic Disney characters), though I'm not sure whether I'll include Sora.
