Author's Notes: Hi, readers. Here's chapter eighteen of "Just Away." This chapter features the first appearance of Count Dregon and Nefaria. It contains dialogue from part one of 'Master Vile and the Metallic Armor.' Dex and Lexian will likely appear in the next one. I will probably show the Rangers visiting Kim in the hospital once again due to the situation with her birth father in the one after that. Stay tuned for chapter nineteen.

Chapter 18: In the Space Skull

The Space Skull went toward Earth at a rapid rate. Vile sat on his chair in the main room. Goldar and Motha stood on one side of him. Rito was on the other side. He tapped his foot for times before scratching the back of his neck. He let out a very impatient sigh. He tossed his sword from one hand to the next and grunted annoyingly.

"Are we there yet, Dad?" Rito griped and snorted to himself. "Are we?"

"Quiet, my boy!" Vile retorted with a huff. "Whining and complaining won't get us there any faster."

"Your father has a point, Rito," Motha admitted.

"Good things come to those who wait," Goldar growled in a soft way. "You should not be so impatient."

"I can't help it," Rito said, giving a shrug. He rubbed the top of his head before sighing in impatience again. "I just want to get rid of those pesky Power Rangers."

"Don't all of us?" Motha asked while flapping her wings twice.

"Now, be quiet all of you," Vile said, standing up with a loud grunt. He touched the top of his wand while chuckling to himself. "I am going to create a monster that will put Zedd and Rita to shame."

Vile rubbed the top of his wand. He raised it high and waved it around three times. He pointed it at the floor. A white light shot out of the tip. A humanoid materialized in front of him. It was blue with yellow on its face and chest. Small bumps protruded from the top of its head. Its fingertips contained suckers on them. Its normal hands were covered with larger ones with bigger suckers. It was covered in blue slime.

"Meet the Blue Globbor," Vile introduced. "He will be a fighting partner for Motha."

"Oh, I like that idea," Motha said eagerly.

Rito chuckled. "I do too."

Goldar smirked widely. "As do I."

Blue Globbor growled fiercely while raising his hands above his head. He placed them at his sides. Motha went over to him and held out her hand. She emitted a soft chitter.

"My name is Motha. I am Rita and Zedd's monster," Motha introduced.

"I am Blue Globbor," Globbor responded and took her hand to shake it. "It is nice to meet you."

"Ew. That is disgusting," Motha said, looking at the slime in it after he lets go of her.

"Sorry," Globbor apologized with a shake of his head. He emitted a soft growl and snort. "I can't help being slimy."

Motha rubbed her hand on her leg before rubbing her neck. "It is okay."

Globbor nodded at her. "Good."

Vile waved his wand toward himself. Globbor and Motha came to him while hissing softly. She moved her wings back and forth three times before scratching the floor with her foot.

"So, what are you going to do now?" Rito asked.

"I'm going to correct your mistake and recapture Ninjor," Vile responded and cackled maliciously. He lowered his wand. "Then I will use the Blue Globbor to absorb his power."

"What good will that do, your foulness?" Goldar asked. "I thought you wanted the Zeo Crystal."

"Yeah," Rito added while crossing his arms.

"So true," Motha commented with a snort.

"With Ninjor's powers, Globbor will capture the Power Rangers alongside Motha. We will use them to free the Zeo Crystal," Vile explained.

Rito waved his hand toward himself. "Let's not forget you need to contact Count Dregon and tell him you want to team up."

Goldar held up a finger. "You also want your daughter and grandchild on your side. We need to get the Masked Rider powers."

"I have not forgotten about any of that," Vile pointed out and chuckled softly. "I have a very sharp mind."

Motha snickered. "I have no doubt it is sharper than that of Rito, Baboo, and Squatt."

Vile nodded in agreement. "That's right. Now, I need to contact Zedd and Rita to see if they have done what I asked."

Rito glared at Motha, who waved him off. Vile waved his wand in which a light shot out of it. It went forward and formed a rectangular projection on the wall. Rita appeared in it along with Zedd. They were in the Lunar Palace's throne room.

"Lord Zedd, have you feed the Tengas?" Vile asked.

"We have, Master Vile," Zedd said while rubbing his hands together.

"Yep," Rita agreed with a cackle. "They were already very hungry."

Zedd chuckled. "They are never as hungry as you are."

Rita glared at him. "Shut the hell up."

Vile, Goldar, Rito, Motha, and Globbor watched as Squatt waved the sack around in the Tenga cave. Baboo followed him close behind. The dimwits shook quite a bit. Cawing could be heard in the distance, but it got louder as it came closer to them.

"Here, Tenga, Tenga, Tenga!" Squatt called.

"Come on!" Baboo yelled. "We don't have all night!"

"Come out. Come out wherever you are," Squatt said with a shudder.

"Please," Baboo pleaded and whimpered quietly.

A Tenga appeared and took the sack off Squatt. This allowed the duo move back. Another one walked up to it and tore into the sack. Two more arrived in which they proceeded to fight over the food. Cawing and squawking filled the air as Squatt and Baboo ran out of the cave. The screen switched back to Zedd and Rita, whom both gave shrugs and laughed nervously.

"Excellent. I want you to keep the Tengas on standby. I am getting ready to contact Count Dregon," Vile said.

"Please do not take too long, Daddy," Rita begged. "We are eager to unleash the Tengas on Angel Grove."

"Yes, we are," Zedd agreed and rubbed his hands together. "Just make sure you let Dregon know that I will not be fond of him being part of our team, but I am willing to set our rivalry aside."

"Of course," Vile agreed. "I will see you later."

Zedd and Rita faded from the screen. Vile waved his wand twice before clicking his tongue. Just then, Count Dregon appeared in it from inside his Spiderbase. He was talking to Nefaria. Vile cleared his throat, causing them to look at him.

"Master Vile, it is good to see you," Dregon greeted.

"We had no idea you would be contacting us today," Nefaria added.

"I wanted to see my old friends. I have some good news. I have finally found my daughter," Vile responded excitedly.

"You mean Kara, right?" Dregon asked curiously.

"Yes. Her name is now Kimberly Hart. She is a member of the Power Rangers as the Pink Ranger. I should say was. Katherine Hillard has taken her place because she is pregnant with Tommy Oliver's baby. He is her boyfriend and the White Ranger. He is the leader of the team," Vile explained.

Nefaria inhaled deeply and exhaled slowly. "All of that is rather interesting. We remember the Power Rangers aiding Dex and his friends against the Plague Patrol months ago."

"Yes, Nefaria," Vile commented. "How is the war on Edenoi going?"

"Unfortunately, we have bad news. We are on the verge of losing our last stronghold on the planet," Dregon said disappointingly. "The Edenites have grown incredibly strong in their fighting."

"I do wish you would have let me help reconquer that world when I came to see you last," Vile said.

Dregon shook his head. "It does not matter now. We will leave in search of other worlds to conquer."

Vile smiled. "In that case, would you be willing to join forces with me to conquer Earth?"

Dregon and Nefaria felt their jaws drop to the floor. They opened and closed their mouths, but they could not get any words to form. Vile could not help but smile warmly.

"I know it sounds crazy, but I do want to combine our armies to get the Zeo Crystal, Masked Rider powers, Kimberly, and her baby," Vile said and chuckled evilly.

"All of that sounds good, but you know I have a fierce rivalry with Lord Zedd. He and I would not get along well at all," Dregon pointed out truthfully.

"I know, but he informed me he is willing to set it aside to attack our enemies. Conquering the universe is much more important than fighting over petty things," Vile replied.

"That is true," Nefaria agreed, a smile forming on her face.

"So, what do you say?" Vile asked while putting his hands out to the sides. "Would you be willing to help me conquer Earth and other worlds?"

Dregon and Nefaria looked at each other. Though they were uncertain about working alongside Zedd, they had to admit helping Vile to conquer Earth was a great idea. They knew Edenoi was lost to them. They felt the time was perfect for them to leave. They nodded at Vile.

"We will come help you conquer Earth, Master Vile," Dregon announced in much eagerness.

"Excellent!" Vile responded excitedly. "When will you be coming?"

Dregon smiled. "We will make preparations immediately. We will see you soon."

The screen went completely blank. Vile, Goldar, Rito, Globbor, and Motha looked at each other.

"Victory is assured for us now, Pop!" Rito blurted out happily.

"It sure is," Goldar agreed.

"Nothing will stand in my way of getting my daughter back! Nothing!" Vile shouted fiercely. He laughed evilly, as did the others.
