Chapter One:
On the way home from the dinner, Chris and Lorelai were very quiet. Rory was wondering why.
"Where were you guys?" She asked.
"Somewhere". Lorelai responded.
"Where's somewhere?" Rory asked.
"Where we were". Chris told her.
Rory nodded. They got home about ten minutes later and chris went to bed on the couch. Lorelai talked to Rory about things that were said that night at dinner, and Rory went to bed. Lorelai got ready and went to bed as well.
In the morning, Lorelai remembered she was supposed to help Luke paint the diner last night. She immediately got up and went to the diner in her pajamas and explained to Luke what had happened, and that she still will help him paint. He agreed and Lorelai went home. Chris wanted to marry her.
"Let's get married Lor." Chris said.
"What?". She responded shocked.
"I want to marry you". He said. "I love you".
"But…" She nodded.
"Is that a yes?". He pulled her into his arms.
"I..guess…yeah." She kissed him and hugged him back.
Rory walked into the kitchen out of her room and over to her parents. "What's going on?" She asked as she saw them hugging.
"We're engaged kid." Lorelai smiled.
"Really!". Rory asked excitedly.
"Yeah Kiddo!". Chris told her.
Rory ran over to them and hugged them both. "I've always dreamt this would happen!". She told her parents.
"Let's go to Luke's and eat! I'm starving." Lorelai said. Chris looked at her.
"Wait" he said. He pulled out a ring out of his pocket and put in on Lorelai's ring finger.
"It's…beautiful". Lorelai kissed him.
Lorelai went upstairs to shower and get ready for the day. Chris was laying on the bed waiting for her to be ready to go. Rory was in her room getting ready.
A few minutes later Lorelai came out of the bathroom with her hair curled and her make up done, but she was wrapped in only a towel. She didn't know chris was right there.
"Wow" he laughed. She jumped.
"Christopher!" She screamed and looked at him. "that was mean!"
He laughed. "sorry." She continued to get dressed.
"Okay, I'm ready . Let's go to Luke's for breakfast or Lunch…considering how long it took for me to get ready." She smiled and walked downstairs. Chris followed.
"Rory you ready?" Lorelai asked coming down the stairs.
Rory walked out of her room. "Yeah I'm ready."
They all left to go to Luke's. When they arrived, they sat down at a table. Luke was jealous that Chris was with Lorelai. Luke had had a thing for Lorelai for while now.
"What can I get you?" Luke asked.
"We all want a stack of chocolate chip pancakes with extra chocolate chips please!" She smiled.
"What's the occasion?" Luke asked as he wrote it down.
"My parents are engaged!" Rory told Luke.
Luke immediately looked hurt. "I'll….go get those pancakes". He said softly and he walked off.
