Hello again, everyone! I'm quite certain you all missed me over the past few months. I'm actually very sorry that I haven't gotten back to writing stories here on Fanfiction as of late. In fact, I'm very upset at myself for it. I guess I have been so busy with schoolwork and content for YouTube. I don't intend to quit doing these stories for a while as there are a couple more ships I am looking to explore, so now I'm gonna get back to it! Though this one in particular, I have been kinda waiting for a new review after the most recent chapter before starting a new one. Oh well. Here's a new chapter.

"Evening, Omi." Omi heard Kimiko's voice behind him say. "I'm ready for our date."

Omi happily turned to face Kimiko. And when he saw her, his eyes widened with amazement.

She was wearing a modern red kimono dress with a white top and sleeves that extended to her hands like the pink kimono she wore when the monks infiltrated the emperor's palace to retrieve the Golden Tiger Claws. However, unlike that kimono, the dress on this one only went down to her ankles. She wore a red sash around her waist, and white socks and black sandals on her feet. She also had a Chinese Red Shanghai Lotus in her hair, which she wore down. She did a full turnaround so Omi can see her full appearance. Omi of course, was speechless. He knew Kimiko dressed well, but he never saw her dress THIS well.

"Well…." Kimiko teased. She could tell Omi was dumbfounded by her appearance.

"D-Do girls always dress this well?!" Omi finally stammered. Kimiko giggled.

"Only when they really want to impress boys." She teased. She then noticed Omi was still in his xiaolin robe, which is nice, but he wears it every day. But she couldn't blame him for that because since he's lived at the Xiaolin Temple his whole life they were the only clothes he had. She made a mental note to take him to shop for clothes one day.

"So uhhh…" Omi stammered a bit before jumping down from the stone ledge, "…shall we?" He extended a hand out to Kimiko. She smiled.

"We shall." She replied, taking his hand.

With that, the two Xiaolin warriors, hand in hand, went for a little stroll through the courtyard. It was a clear starry night and the moon and stars shined brightly. Omi and Kimiko could not help but look at the sky as they walked. Then Omi looked at Kimiko and blushed. The Japanese girl's beauty to him just skyrocketed to a whole new level as the moonlight shined on her. And it didn't take long for Kimiko to notice.

"What are you looking at, Omi?" She suddenly asked. Baffled, Omi shook his head as if he was snapping out of a trance.

"Oh uhh," He stammered, "I…never seen you so…beautiful before." Kimiko blushed.

"Awww, thanks Omi." She cooed. Omi blushed. These emotions were still unfamiliar to him, but they felt good all the same.

Later, they came across the flower beds, which also glistened in the moonlight. This was mostly due to water droplets still on some of the petals, as Master Fung had watered them just recently. Omi and Kimiko decided to stop to admire them. Omi wanted to pick a flower for Kimiko, but he knew Master Fung would be mad at him for hurting them, so he couldn't. Instead, he decided to sniff the flowers. But that was another mistake, not because of Master Fung, but because a bit of pollen seemed to have got into his nose. This caused him to twitch a bit until he finally sneezed. Kimiko giggled at this.

"Gesundheit." She teased. Omi was embarrassed.

Later on, the two came to a short rock wall in the courtyard. There they decided to sit on top of it and watch the stars. Kimiko sighed happily. It was clear that she really enjoyed tonight, especially since she was spending this special night with Omi. Omi on the other hand had a mixture of emotions swirling in his head. Sure, he was very happy to spend this special night with Kimiko, but romance was still unfamiliar territory for the little monk. Not only that, but there was something else that made him fearful that a relationship with her would never work out. Then Kimiko decided to speak.

"Omi," she started.

"Yes, Kimiko?" Omi asked.

"I really want to thank you for this night." She admitted. "This was probably the most wonderful night in my entire life. Especially since I was able to enjoy it with you."

Omi couldn't help but blush.

"I-I really enjoyed it too, Kimiko." He admitted. Kimiko smiled. Omi then wanted to admit something else to her but felt uneasy doing so. Unfortunately for him, this did not go unnoticed by Kimiko.

"Something wrong?" She asked in concern.

"I-I have something else I need to tell you, Kimiko." Omi admitted.

"Yes?" She asked, slightly blushing.

"You see, at first, I wasn't sure about love or about starting a relationship." Omi looked down as he said this. "I was unsure if it would even work out between you and me."

"What?" Kimiko felt her heart strings being tugged by this. "But why?"

"Well, I know you can get angered very easily." Omi explained. "And some of the things I say tend to set you off." Kimiko blushed in embarrassment and slight offense, but she tried to keep her composer.

"Oh, come on!" She seethed slightly. "I know you don't mean to offend me, so I can't stay mad at you. So, you don't have to worry about it that much!"

"I can't help it, Kimiko." Omi whimpered, looking away. "I'm just too innocent."

Kimiko's embarrassment and slight anger vanished instantly. She couldn't believe it. He wasn't bringing up her temper. He was pointing out his OWN flaw. She immediately felt sorry for the little monk.

"Hey, that's not your fault." She put a hand on his shoulder. "You spent your entire life here at the Xiaolin Temple, so you didn't know much about the outside world."

"I know, but it's still a problem." Omi continued. "I end up saying something wrong, getting myself in trouble, or I am easily taken advantage of. My innocence has been and always will be…my downfall." After saying that, he started to cry a little. Kimiko was stunned by what Omi had just said, and now she felt sorrier for him than ever. After a few seconds of watching him cry, she decided to comfort him the best way she can. She hopped down from the rock wall, stood in front of the little monk, and wrapped her arms around him, giving him a warm and comforting hug. Omi immediately stopped crying and looked up in surprise as she embraced him.

"I know. It's a terrible feeling." She rested her head against his.

"You understand how I feel?" Omi asked in surprise.

"Of course, I do. Like you said, I get angry easily. That's my flaw." Kimiko replied. "Nobody is perfect, Omi. It took me a long time to realize that."

Omi was just silent.

"Listen Omi, I know that you feel as if your flaw is your greatest weakness." Kimiko said. "But that shouldn't weigh you down. In fact, it should make you stronger."

Omi was surprised by this.

"Like you said once before, anyone can make a mistake." Kimiko continued. "But that's ok. Because we can learn from our mistakes, and then use that knowledge to our own advantage."

She then looked into Omi's eyes and cupped his cheek with her hand.

"That's why I believe there's a chance between us. We can help each other out through the toughest of challenges." She coaxed him. "So, you don't have to worry about things being complicated, Omi. We can make it work. I promise." And with that, she slowly inched her head closer to his and closed her eyes. Her head moved closer and closer to his until finally, their lips met. Omi was taken back. Kimiko was kissing him. At first, he didn't know how to respond, but then thought about what Kimiko had just said to him. If she believed that there was a chance between them, then he should believe that too. With that in mind, Omi closed his eyes, wrapped his arms around Kimiko's body, and returned the kiss. That prompted Kimiko to tighten her embrace on him and deepen the kiss. And Omi, despite not being familiar with the concept of love, was now starting to enjoy the kiss, and boy did he. Even Kimiko, who was also enjoying the kiss, could tell. After a few minutes their lips parted for air. But the two monks couldn't help but smile at each other.

"You know," Omi started, "I could get used to this. It may take some time, but I am looking forward to whatever's on the shelf for us."

"In store." Kimiko corrected. "And me too, Omi. And with that, the two monks hugged each other.

Meanwhile, Chase Young, the Heylin Warrior, stood in one of the chambers of his palace, watching Omi and Kimiko's date through his large magical orb. He groaned at the sight, clarifying he didn't like it. Then, Wuya the Heylin Witch, who has been staying with Chase for the sake of evil, enters the chamber and walks up to him.

"Oh Chase, will you stop staring at that ball?" She gawked. "That image it's showing is just disgusting!"

"I know that, because I anticipated this would happen." Chase replied. "That's why I insisted that we should've gone after the Heart's Desire when it revealed itself!"

"But you aren't really interested in Shen Gong Wu unless it's a dire need." Wuya insisted. "And what would make getting the Heart's Desire so dire anyway? It's power is useless to us."

"Because of this!" Chase pointed to the image of Omi and Kimiko hugging in the magical orb. "Omi and Kimiko are both formidable foes by themselves, but now that they share this bond, they're going to be even stronger."

"But not stronger than us, right?" Wuya retorted.

"They could be." Chase replied. "They've created a combination attack together which is strengthened by the bond between them. And with this bond growing stronger, so does that attack, which at its strongest could make them a real threat."

"Hmmm, good point." Wuya agreed. "So the only way to break their combo attack, is to break them up."

"Yes. And at this point, there's only one way we can do that." Chase declared.

Wuya instantly knew what he was thinking. "I like where you're going with this." She cooed.

"Don't fluster me." Chase gawked.

Well, that does it for this chapter. Feels good to be back writing these stories again after so long. Omi and Kimiko's new relationship will face some new challenges in the upcoming chapters, so get excited. I would like to do another showdown or two in this story if possible, so if anyone has any new Shen Gong Wu ideas, please share in a review.

I hope to update my other stories as soon as I possibly can. And don't think that when I finish the stories I currently have I'll stop writing for good. I still have more story ideas in my head and there are a few other couples I'm looking to explore. But until then, see ya all next time!
