Hello dear readers! I am surprised at myself, since Harry Potter is one of the first fandoms I got acquainted with. Well, let's just say that it took some time to plan this out,and with the angle I wanted, that wasn't easy. There may be inputs from other fandoms, mainly LOTR and Marvel, but it will still be a HP story.

Now,I hope people will like this first chapter, depending on this,I might write more on it.

**HP**

31st October 1981:

Night had fallen at number 4 Privet Drive. The inhabitants were by no means aware of the babe that lay outside their door, nor would they know what it would mean to the change in the household in the future to come.

5th February,1987:

Petunia Evans, formerly Dursley, looked at the papers in her hands. She had divorced the man she had thought she loved for the past 17 years. That changed however, when the man almost struck her nephew with a belt. She admitted to being reluctant to bringing him into their household, but after reading the letter that professor Dumbledore had written her, she cried for the sister she lost years earlier and swore to keep her memory alive, so that she might see her sister again when her time is over.

When Vernon tried to punish Harry a second time for not being able to walk properly without bumping into things,Petunia had had enough. She called the police on him for attempted child abuse and called her lawyer to file for divorce.

She put the letter down on the coffee table and put her head in her hands. How would she do this? How could she raise two boys alone with no job? She had to figure something out.

Unbeknownst to Petunia, help would show up from the strangest of places.

*knock knock* came the door. Petunia glanced at the clock. "Now,who could that be?" she asked herself. The boys were currently in kindergarten, not due to be picked up in another 3 hours. She walked up to the door and opened and almost shrieked. Who she saw was an tall old man, clad in a deep purple cloak and a beard that almost seemed to reach for the ground.

"Hello Petunia" he said in his kindest voice. Petunia's voice had temporarily left her, so she just nodded and let him in.

"We have never met,but I suspect you know who we are, correct?" the man asked. Petunia nodded again. "Albus Dumbledore,I take it?" she asked. The old man nodded.

"At your service. I am sure you are wondering what I am doing here? Well, the answer is that I have had reports showing up, saying that you and your husband has split up-" "Yes,those reports are true, however I wonder why you are getting reports, aren't you just the headmaster of a school?" Petunia asked him with a crooked eyebrow.

"Indeed I am. However,we have suspicions that your sister's murderer might still be alive somehow. Out of distrust for the government we have had over the years,I founded a small group whose main purpose is to end that madman and his followers" said Dumbledore, a dark shadow fell over his face as he said this. "After delivering Harry on your doorstep, something I was deeply advised against, mind you, I put a member from the Order in the area. That is where I got my report from" finished Dumbledore, once again smiling gently. Petunia just then remembered her manners.

"Would-eh,would you like something to drink?" she asked him. "A cup of tea, would be nice, thank you" he said.

When Petunia got out from the kitchen, a cup of tea in one hand and a bottle of soda in the other, she put both items on the table and spoke. "I-err,I was actually trying to find a way to contact you to be honest" she said as she sat down in one of the lounge chairs, rubbing her arm nervously.

Albus looked curiously at her. "Oh? And why is that?" he asked.

Petunia took a deep breath and exhaled. "I am a divorced woman,Dumbledore. I am also going to raise two young boys all by myself. I know that Harry would be introduced to Hogwarts when he turns 11, but I was wondering if you know anyone who wouldn't mind being a nanny to a half-blood and a muggle? Dudley has become quite fond of him,you see,and I don't want to split them up for too long. I need to find myself a proper job as well, and until then,I might have to move out of the house, since I can't afford it as it is now" she looked him in the eyes.

"Can you help me,Albus?" she asked, tears threatening to fall. Albus looked at her. His occlumensy told him that she was sincere. 'Of course!' he thought as a smile came to his face. He looked at Petunia. "I think I have someone who can help you out,if I may?" he said and nodded towards the fireplace. "Go ahead,it's more or less out of order though" she said. Albus just smiled at her and pointed his wand at the fireplace, who suddenly looked brand new. Albus then reached into his robes before he threw some green powder in the place, who suddenly lit up.

He further surprised her by sticking his head in. "The Burrow!" she heard him say in a sturdy voice. After that, it got quiet for a few minutes before Albus drew his head back. "We're getting company. I hope you don't mind?" he said.

Petunia just shook her head. "No,no, not at all. I swear I'll never get used to magic" she said with a chuckle as she took a sip of her soda. Dumbledore chuckled himself as he reached for his teacup before turning back to the fireplace.

"Here she comes now" he said. Petunia stood up to greet the newcomer. Soon enough, the fireplace lit up green and a small,red-haired woman came out of the place.

"Molly Weasley, may I introduce Petunia Evans?" Albus said as the two women shook hands. He then looked at Molly. "Petunia is Harry Potter's aunt. However she recently divorced her husband and is in dire need of some help in raising Harry and his cousin Dudley while she gets herself a job and tries to get back on her feet."

"Good gracious, how terrible! I love children, having 7 of them myself,so I would be honored to help you dear, but I beg to ask, how old are you?" Molly asked gently. Petunia hung her head slightly.

"I am 29, but have been told I look older" she said, the tone of shame in her voice. Molly gasped. "Oh you poor thing! I'll gladly help you,I just hope you don't mind me bringing my two youngest over from time to time? My youngest son is the same age as Harry and Dudley, turning 7 just this coming march" Molly said with her hands clasped in front of her mouth before smiling motherly at Petunia. She then looked to Albus.

"Thank you for involving me,Albus. I believe I can take it from here" she said gently.

Albus smiled and nodded. "That's good to hear, however there is one more thing I must talk to Petunia about,it concerns this house" he said and gestured for the two women to sit. "You told me recently that you cannot afford to keep this house. Are you not aware that this was your wedding gift from your sister and her husband?" Petunia looked shocked.

"No-no, Vernon told me it was his wedding gift to me,that he had bought us this house, that's why there was no card with it" she said, choking slightly. Albus touched her hand gently.

"There was, entitling this house to your name, and assuring there was no monthly cost since it was paid for with Potter money. As you may not be aware, the Potter family is as old a wizard family as say,the Weasleys here. They have been around since before the Roman empire, and as such has accumulated quite the fortune over the centuries. This also means that when Harry turns 18 in the muggle world,he may choose to be addressed as a titled noble. However, at the age of 17, Harry is considered of age in the wizard world, and can legally apply for a job then. However, we are off topic. The point is,the property is yours, you could by all means tear it down and rebuild as you wish" Albus finished. As he said that last bit,Petunia's eyes lit up.

"I could? I would, but I'll need the capital for that" she said, looking down slightly before glancing up at the clock. Still an hour and a half until she would need to go pick up the boys. "Well, seeing that all is going well here,I shall take my leave. I daresay I have a good couple dozens of letters of varying importance that I need to address. I shall leave you to it,Molly. I shall see you at a later date,Petunia. Good luck" the old man said before he tossed more green powder into the fireplace and disappeared.

"I'll never get used to that" Petunia said. Molly chuckled. "Oh,you probably will, dearie. Now then, how long until the boys will be home?" Molly asked. "an hour and a half,I've made it a point to pick them up,even if the kindergarten is 10 minutes down the street" Petunia said. "Well then, why don't we have a chat? Get to know each other better?" Molly said with a smile that Petunia copied. "I'd like that. Would you like anything to drink?"

**HP**

An hour and a half later:

"Mommy!" "Auntie!" came the voice of the two most important people in Petunia's life. "Hey there boys. Is everything okay?" Petunia said with a smile as she crouched down to let the two 6-year olds hug her from either side. "Yeah,we've been throwing ball and played hide-and-seek and-" the two boys chattered away the whole walk home. When they stood in the driveway,Petunia crouched to look at her two boys. "Listen boys. We've had some problems in the past, but now that Vernon is out of our lives, I need to get a job so that we can get some food on the table. So I've gotten a nanny for you boys for when I might be working late. Now,she's offered to make you boys dinner today, so both of you behave, okay?" she said with both eyes trained on the boys, both of who nodded honestly before following Petunia to the door. "We're home!" called Petunia.

Out came Molly with a smile. "Well, well,so who are you boys?" she asked as she got down on their level. "I am Dudley and this is my cousin,Harry" said Dudley, who was the slightly bigger of the two boys. "Well, then. My name is Molly, it's very nice meeting you two.I am sure we'll get to know each other quite well" she said as she looked knowingly over at Petunia, who smiled.

"Molly is going to be here every day before we take you to kindergarten and until the evening, how does that sound?" she asked as she helped the boys sit on their chairs by the dinner table.

"Sounds good,Mum" Dudley said with a smile,Harry nodding with a smile. Just then Molly went back in the kitchen as they heard the timer for the oven ring, and soon enough Molly emerged from the kitchen with a huge shepherd's pie. "By all that is holy,Molly, this is enough to feed a small village!" Petunia exclaimed.

"oh,I am just so used to feed many people at once,I never think about how much people usually eat. There are nine of us in total after all, and that's not even counting when the boys bring friends over" Molly said. Petunia leaned over to Harry and Dudley. "Molly has a son your age. Would you like to meet him sometime?" she asked, getting two excited "Yes"s from the two boys.

Time-skip,5 years later:

May 2nd, 1991:

Time had certainly flown for the household of Evans/Potter, and it had improved for the better since they became acquainted with the Weasleys. Over the years,Petunia,Dudley and Harry had showed the red-haired family the wonders of the muggle world, such as a couple of museums in London, the movie theaters, and the sights of muggle London. On the other side, the Weasleys had shown them the magical side, such as Diagon Alley and their own home, the Burrow. They had also explained to Harry that when he was 11,he would be entering Hogwarts with their son,Ron, which Harry thought was nice,at least he knew someone there from before.

The older Weasley brothers had their own chances to interact with Petunia,Dudley and Harry.

The oldest brother,Bill had already finished his education at Hogwarts, while the second-eldest,Charlie was going on his last year. Both had explained some of the basics behind some of the subjects they had learned at Hogwarts;something that had greatly inspired both Ron and Harry. Harry in particular was looking forward to Charms and Transfiguration, while Ron was leaning more towards Defense Against The Dark Arts and History of Magic,as those sounded like needed less work; that was until Bill told them of the teachers. The thought of listening to nothing but a ghost telling tales of the goblin wars for three years straight was suddenly not as appealing.

The third oldest brother,Percy was not like the rest of his family. Where Bill and Charlie were relaxed and outgoing,Percy was much more of a prude who looked down on his younger siblings, who were more taken with having fun.

This brought over the Twin Terrors of the Weasley Family: Fred and George. The two were constantly changing their names, switching between sentences and were all about general mayhem.

The last of the Weasley siblings was the only girl among them. Her name was Ginevra, but everyone just called her Ginny. Dudley seemed to loose his tongue when he first met her, something that Harry had teased him about when said girl was not present. Petunia had also met Molly's husband,Arthur.

While Arthur was generous and generally cheerful,he was also curious about all things muggle, and had soon enough almost started to interrogate Petunia on the function of all things electrical and mundane. Petunia had placated his curiosity when she invited the Weasley parents to the Natural History museum and the British museum in London, while the rest of the kids were being watched by Bill and Charlie. The kids had explored everything about mundane London, from bookshops and movie stores to candy shops and cafe's before meeting their parents and going home.

The other time the kids visited the Evans-Potter household was when Harry and Dudley introduced them to video games. Petunia had gotten hand of a SNES machine, which she had given to Dudley,on the condition that he share with Harry. Dudley was only happy to have someone to play with, so Petunia had gotten hold of a few games for them, including some popular franchise games, such as Super Mario and the slightly newer Legend of Zelda.

The Weasley children had great fun of both the game machine and the TV in general,no matter what age. Even Percy was interested in knowing how muggles got the picture box to work, something Harry in particular had seen as a victory. The two boys also introduced them to muggle literature and comic books, something Ron,the twins, and to a lesser extent,Ginny got a lot of joy out of. Harry was partial to Marvel comics, while Dudley's favorite was DC. This of course brought up a huge conversation of who was the better until they gave up and figured that both had some good and some bad.

Petunia had also gotten herself a job,not long after meeting Molly. It was in a record shop owned by a nice old man called Simon Johnson. He truly looked like he belonged in the music industry:5'11'', Visible tattoos on both arms, tight jeans,a black tank-top and a leather jacket was his daily wear at the store. He also had a thick, well groomed mustache (AN:Think Freddie Mercury/Tom Selleck combo!) which completed the ensemble. When Petunia had applied for a job there,he almost jumped of joy, since he was lacking workers and had applied for workers for quite some time. Once the formalities was done with,he had shown her the ropes around the store and given her free leave to arrange the goods as she saw the building was very stereotypical suburban British,it was a one-story brick-house with bars outside the windows to prevent break-ins.

Petunia had almost single-handedly removed the bars to allow for a better view for potential customers. She had also arranged shelves along the walls to allow for a better overview over the wares they had, with a few shelves standing on the floor for bigger wares than records. Since the influx of CD's was growing bigger, the bigger shelves on the walls were made for them, while vinyl records and such got crates close to the counter. Petunia almost instantly got a promotion for her work, since customers were coming in more frequently than ever before after the store got cleaned up, and she was now in charge of purchasing wares. She had taken the bold move to not only include CD's and vinyls, but also band-merchandise of a great variety, from Led Zeppelin and The Beatles to Wham!and Elton John. Soon after this, she started a saving account, where she was preparing for the day she could tear their house down and build something new.

Both Harry and Dudley had grown over the past five years. Harry now stood at 4'6'' and was quite fit for his age. Dudley was a little taller,at 5'', and was a little bulkier than Harry. Petunia had them take self-defense courses for the past two years, and had even brought them to a gym several times, which had soon enough given results. After all the tales they had heard from Hogwarts,Harry was very interested in quidditch, which was apparently the magical combination of soccer and basketball that was played on brooms. From what Harry could tell,he either had the build of a seeker or a chaser. Harry decided to figure out which after seeing it played at Hogwarts. Dudley had the beginning of a boxer's build or a wrestler. He wasn't really interested in sports, but he was playing with the thought of boxing to at least keep himself in shape. He did not want to end up like his biological father, a fat pig with three chins.

**HP**

Petunia was sitting in her favorite chair by the fireplace reading a music magazine, thinking it would help her keeping in mind the up-and coming bands and artists, along with new releases from old favorites. Suddenly the fireplace lit up green, and Ron stepped out. Petunia put her magazine down and smiled at him. "Good morning Ron. Is there a reason for this unexpected visit?" she asked.

Ron smiled back and said: "Good morning ms. Evans. I was just bored at home and asked my dad if I could come here. I hope that's alright?" Petunia smiled. "Of course dear. Have you eaten anything yet?" she asked.

Ron nodded. "Yeah. Mum never lets us go anywhere unless we've eaten at least once at home first" he said. "Alright, just checking. Harry's probably in his room or in Dudley's,either way,you know where they are" she said and went back to her magazine. Ron nodded and made his way upstairs. When he got to the doors he knocked once on Harry's door, which was closest to the stairs, and waited for less than a minute before hearing a "Come in!". Ron stepped in to Harry's room, and grinned at one of his best mates.

"Hiya Harry! What's up?" Ron said as he made his way over to one of the chairs by the desk. Harry was currently sitting on his bed with his guitar in hand. Petunia had bought it for his ninth birthday, and he loved it. His aunt had introduced him to British hard rock and metal, and he had all but swallowed it up.

"Nothing much, just jamming a little, what's up with you?" Harry asked with a sideways grin. Ron always came to him first when he wanted something from the muggle world. "Do you think your aunt could arrange for me to get my ear pierced?" Ron asked. Harry's eyebrows rose. "I did not foresee that. I guess,we'll only know by asking, right? So come on" Harry said as he put his guitar away and led Ron back down, where Petunia still was sitting.

"Hey,aunt Petunia?" said Harry. Petunia put down her magazine and turned to the two boys. "Yes Harry?" she asked.

"Ron wanted to know if you could arrange for us to get our ears pierced" Harry said with a grin. Petunia then turned to Ron. "And what does your parents say about this,Ron? Does Molly know about this?" she asked.

Ron grimaced. "I haven't said anything to her, since she completely flipped out when Charlie got that dragon fang in his ear,and you have a better knack for calming down mum than any of us,maybe with the exception of Bill." Ron finished with a small smile and an attempt at puppy dog eyes. Petunia pinched the bridge of her nose as she closed her eyes.

"Molly's going to freak,I just know it"she said before looking at Harry and Ron. "Fine. I'll arrange it for you,BUT! You owe me a big favor for this, both of you, understood?" she said, sternly. The two youngsters nodded gravely, they understood the situation. "Might as well ask if Dudley wants to come with, could you go and get him Harry?" Petunia asked. "Ron,go into the hallway if you please,we'll be right along" she said as she went into the kitchen to pick up her purse. Just as she came back from the kitchen did Harry come down the stairs,Dudley in tow.

"You want your ears pierced, son?" Petunia asked Dudley, who nodded with a smile. "Yeah,Harry said that he and Ron were going to,and I figured I'd do it too. I mean, they grow back if I don't like it, right? So I thought why not?" he nodded, happy with her son's answer. "Alright, let's go,I'm sure Ron's already outside, waiting" she said as she ordered the two boys outside.

Three hours later found the foursome entering the home, three happy, newly pierced boys and a smiling adult. Petunia had taken the boys out for ice cream after their ears were pierced, and admitted to herself that their expressions made up for whatever tantrum Molly could produce. "Okay boys, we're ordering dinner inn today,so what would you like?Ron,I'd like you to invite the rest of the family over, okay?" Petunia asked as the redhead went over to floo-call the Burrow. Dudley had been the one to answer her first question.

"Pizza! What you say cousin? Pizza and soda, followed with crushing the twins on the Nintendo?" Harry grinned. "Sounds good to me" came from the raven-haired teen. Petunia laughed. "Pizza it is then. Thankfully,I've gotten a pay raise at work,so I can actually afford to feed all of us" she said that last bit to herself.

What he hadn't told the boys, however, was that Mr. Johnson was soon to be retiring, and she was to become the new daily manager of the store, that is,if she took the job. He had given her three weeks to think about it,and she was constantly weighing the pros and cons of the position. Before she could think anymore of it,she heard a bustle coming from the living room and she went to see what it was all about.

**HP**

Apparently, all the Weasley's had decided to come, including Bill and Charlie, and the reason for the commotion was that they had gone first, quickly followed by the twins. Unfortunately, this meant that Fred and George had landed directly on their older brothers. "Oww,Fred,George, get off!" Charlie exclaimed as he stumbled out on the living room floor with Bill, who was holding onto his side. The twins quickly followed their older brothers with sheepish expressions on their faces, showing exactly how sorry they were. Before the brother could argue further, Percy came walking out normally, as proper as one could be after traveling through a fireplace and not too long after, came Arthur and Molly with Ginny.

"Hello everyone,is everything alright?" Molly asked as she saw her oldest son hold onto his ribs. Charlie answered. "Bill might've cracked a couple of ribs because these two-" he pointed to Fred and George- "-landed directly onto us because they were too eager to get here. I got the easier damage, my ankle's not broken, but it feels like shit" he finished as he gingerly moved his left ankle.

Molly gave a stern glare to the two quite shameful twins before picking up her wand and twirling it a couple of times around her oldest sons. "Thankfully Bill, your ribs are just bruised, not cracked, while Charlie,I'm sorry, your ankle's not quite broken, but any regular healer would tell you that you can't quite walk for at least a couple of weeks, and even after that, you are not to walk far without support,am I understood? I can easily get Andromeda Tonks here, and I assume you know how she is,compared to me?" Molly said in a stern voice when Charlie simply sighed with a nod while Molly waved her wand towards Bill.

"There, your ribs are as good as new" Molly said. Bill gave his mother a grateful glance. "Thanks mum, that hurt like hell".

The twins walked up to Bill with sorry expressions on their faces.

"Sorry Bill-" "-It was an honest-" "-Mistake!" they both said, throwing their speech between them as they always did. Bill smiled at them. "It's alright guys, but next time,be more careful,eh?" he told them. "Yes Sir!" they said, throwing him a military salute that looked ridiculous on them, causing Bill,Charlie and Arthur to chuckle and Ginny to giggle.

Molly then turned to Petunia. "I am sorry about all this Petunia" she started, but Petunia waved her off. "Don't. I would've said the same if it was Dudley and Harry. I completely understand Molly" Petunia said with a smile, causing the older woman to smile back gratefully.

Petunia then turned her head to the stairway and shouted: "Boys! The Weasleys are here!", quickly followed by a door slamming open twice and the sound of two pairs of feet almost running to the foot of the stairs. After that, Harry and Dudley came in to sight.

"Hey everyone!" came Harry and Dudley's enthusiastic greeting. "Hello boys" said Molly as she hugged both boys. It was then she noticed.

"You've let the boys be pierced Petunia?" she asked. "I did. It was actually a request of Ron,to be honest. He was with us as well, and he was the first to do it" Petunia said as she gestured to the youngest male redhead, who had temporarily hidden behind her.

He took a deep breath and walked out to let his mother see the newly pierced ears. As soon as she saw them, she was about to yell at Ron, but a touch on the shoulder from Arthur gave her pause. She then sighed and looked at Ron's half terrified face. She took a glance at the silver studs that was currently in his ears and smiled as she looked at him. "They look nice, son. Did it hurt?" she asked. Ron had gone from terrified to happy as he replied.

"A little, but not as much as Harry's, I bet. I mean, he got two in each ear, while I only got one in each" he said as he twirled the stud in his right ear. Molly then looked at Harry and Dudley again. Harry had indeed two studs in each ear, while Dudley had only one in his left ear. Bill grinned. "Nice guys,at least now I'm not alone now" he said as he high-fived the trio from where he sat. Arthur then cleared his throat.

"It was actually good timing that you asked us to come here, Petunia. I have three announcements to make, and I'm glad all of us are here. First off, I have thought about this for quite some time, and I have discussed it with your mother, and I have decided it is time for me to quit my job in the Ministry!" he said, getting a gasp from almost everyone but Molly.

"But dad, what are you going to do?" asked Bill, who knew how much that job meant to him. "I thought you loved that job?" Arthur smiled. "I did,but I realized that we know far too little about the Muggles compared to what the courses at Hogwarts teach us. I mean, thanks to Petunia and the boys, our family has been updated on how the muggles have developed over the past 300 years, but the rest of wizard-kind have not. So,with a little help from Professor Dumbledore, I am starting a course mandatory to pure-blood and half-blood children about the muggle history. My hope is that the muggle studies at Hogwarts will soon be updated as well, eventually. Otherwise,I dread the reactions of wizards when they decide to deal with muggles" Arthur said, and the rest of the group all shuddered.

Arthur then continued. "My second order of business is that, after consulting with Professor Dumbledore,he has decided to make me Harry's legal magical guardian, at least until we find evidence that Sirius Black actually may be innocent. Speaking of which, I have a feeling that the answer may reside in Gringotts. Anyway,Harry, now that you are almost 11, I think it's time for you to start learning about your family history. Since you are to be quite a prominent member of our society,it is very important that you don't throw away the influence your family has worked so hard for over the centuries, do you understand me?" Arthur said as he looked at Harry.

"I understand sir, I've always wanted to learn more about my family, and I do not want to lose your faith in me." Harry said.

"If there's a trip to Gringotts you want,I'll be happy to show you. I work there, after all" said Bill with a grin. Harry grinned back. "That would be great Bill, could we do that tomorrow?" he asked as he looked at Petunia.

She sighed. "I'd love to come with you,but I have to go into work tomorrow. Can I trust both boys to you,Bill? I would rather not leave Dudley here by himself" she asked.

"Don't worry,Petunia, we can keep Dudley company while you and Harry are gone tomorrow" said Charlie, the twins and Ron nodded in agreement, causing Dudley to grin widely. Petunia smiled gratefully at Charlie. "That would be terrific, Charlie, thank you. Now"she said as she heard a car outside. "Who wants some pizza?" she asked as she went to get the door.

AN: Holy crap! This honestly the longest first chapter I have posted,EVER! But, it was fun to write, and I hope it was enjoyable to read. Now,before I get any flames on this,I am not a British citizen,so a ton of things might be wrong, if so,please PM me,and I will see to correct it. That's all for now folks,PEACE!
