The Next Challenge was about to begin, an Egg Laying speed competition to see how many Eggs one could be laid in 10 minutes.
"On your marks... Get set... LAY!"
Screaming erupted from the arena as it began.
Kinkajou laid two eggs right off the bat.
"Look at that!" She cheered, "I'm so awesome."
And then she proceeded to start work on her third egg. She stopped. She scrunched her face. She constipated herself. But no matter how hard she tried, no third egg would come.
Moon on the other talon, once she started, she simply could not stop. Egg after egg kept coming, in such brutality, she could only scream.
"You go girl!" Qibli cheered, "You're doing great!"
Sundew and Willow tag teamed their laying, together they laid egg after egg, pushing the other on through lots of screaming, and together, they managed quite a pile.
Glory too was off to a great start, she had already laid plenty of eggs already, and was going on to more. "COME ON GLORY! DO IT!" She screamed brutally, "DO IT! KEEP LAYING THESE EGGS!" More brutal screaming. "STOP SCREAMING! IT'S UNBECOMING OF A QUEEN!" Then more unbecoming screams as she laid a dozen more eggs.
"THIS IS WAY MORE PAINFUL THAN MY VISION!" Fatespeaker screamed, doing quite well actually.
Poor Sunny though was still stuck on her first egg, and she was screaming horribly, "MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOPPPPPPPPPPPP!" She squealed. Yeah, she was definitely going to win for this year's loudest scream for sure.
Sunny, so smol and wholesome. This dragon must be protected at all costs.
But Cricket, she was doing quite well. She had already laid so many eggs so far, she had lost count, and boy did they hurt. Boy. That word made her think of Blue, and how he was watching her do this and how he was cheering for her, and how attractive she must look doing this, and how sweet and attractive he was, and hot-
Cricket screamed brutally, these thoughts of Blue, made her lay a few million eggs at once, and that HURT. But of course it did, this is Cricket we're talking about, always got to find a way to inflict discomfort on poor Cricket.
Then the challenge was over, everybody finished what they were doing, except for Sunny who was still stuck on her first egg.
All Peril had to show for her results was a big pile of charcoal, once again, her eggs hadn't handled well.
Turtle, once again, no matter how hard he tried, no matter how hard he had constipated himself, had still not even managed one egg. "Why in the three Moons is it not working?"
Kinkajou hadn't faired much better though, having only managed two eggs, and she sat down next to Turtle grumpily. He patted her comfortingly on the back.
Glory had done quite well, but it really wasn't enough to be considered anything more than the bronze medal. "I can't believe I did all that for just this." She grumbled.
Fatespeaker came in second place with over ten thousand eggs. "I knew it! It's just as I foresaw."
"No it isn't," muttered Squid.
But the gold medal went to Cricket, with an unbelievable 3,289,326 eggs in ten minutes.
The crowd cheered!
"HOORAY CRICKET!" Blue cried proudly.
Cricket smiled at him.
With two games done, the challenges were done for the day. The dragons began to clear out of the arena until only Sunny was left, still stuck on her egg.
"MAKE IT STOP!" She screamed as she writhed on the arena floor, "MAKE IT STOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!"
Don't worry, she would be done before Midnight.
