A/N: Been wanting to write this one for aaaaaages.

(I apologise for the shortness of this: Only about 480 words, maybe bit more... but that's just what I do...)

Hope you enjoy; fluffy little unrequited love kinda thing: D/G

Draco's p.o.v.

FireAtWill52.

Quite the opposite:

"Love is an irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired,"

Robert Frost.

Ginny Weasley thought a lot of things that were just not true, in Draco Malfoy's opinion. For example;

Ginny thought that Harry Potter was the epitome of perfection. Draco, however, did not think that was true. (Although it was.)

Bloody Saint Potter...

Ginny thought that, in the end, Good would prevail over Evil. Draco, however, did not think that was true. (Although it was.)

God, how could blood burn so...

Ginny thought that fate was the reason for everything. Draco, however, did not think that was true. (Although it was.)

Fate clearly doesn't know what it's talking about...

Ginny thought that everything would turn out ok, because she loved Harry. Draco, however, did not think that was true. (Although it was.)

Bloody Saint Potter...

And the final, and most important thing that Ginny thought was true, that Draco thought was a lie,was this;

(Although he honestly had no idea.)

Ginny Weasley thought that Draco Malfoy did not love her. Draco did not think that was true. (God only knows...)

Blood burns.

No...It's quite the opposite;

You can't survive without blood.

But...

Ginny, it's quite the opposite.

I love you.

God knows, I love you...

And of course, in the end, everything Ginny had thought was right: Saint Potter won, Good prevailed, fate was the victor, and she loved Harry. And he loved her.

And Draco loved her.

So what happened to them all?

Well, Harry married Ginny, of course. And fate smiled down on them, because they were so good.

And Draco?

Draco; with his burning blood, and conflicting beliefs and screaming heart?

Draco stood in the back of the hall, at the Potter-Weasley wedding. He watched Ginny, her face flushed with happiness, eyes shining with joy. And he wished to God she'd married him.

But of course, destiny had quite the opposite in store...

Draco turned around, and walked out of the chapel. He walked down the path, out the gates, across the road... but he didn't see the Muggle car speeding towards him.

He died before he hit the ground.

They say it was from the force of the impact, but it really quite the opposite.

Draco Malfoy died of a broken heart.

Who would have thought...?

Well, not Draco, that's for sure. Not Ginny and not Harry, also. But it's the truth. Draco's heart broke the moment he accepted the Dark Mark... the moment he realised he loved Ginny... the moment he realised she would never love him.

Fate and destiny and God; they never would have let it happen.

It had to have been quite the opposite.

It just had to.

Draco just couldn't see it.

Draco just couldn't see it.

Draco just couldn't see it.

Draco just couldn't see it.

Maybe he just didn't want to.

Or maybe it was quite the opposite.

Maybe he knew it all along...

God only knows if he knew it all along...

He knew it all along.

Fin.

Hope you enjoyed...
