Mistakes

Mistakes.
The evening had been full of mistakes, from forgiving Elizabeth and proposing once more, to shaking hands with Jack and announcing them officially friends. He had sat and did nothing as his wife-to-be and new 'friend' had flirted before his very eyes.
He went outside, onto the terrace. A warm breeze ruffled his loose brown hair. He sighed and placed his face in calloused hands.
"Mr Turner?" came a voice from the doorway behind him.
It hit him then. The best way to get back at Elizabeth. He had seen the little glances this person had given him, seen the longing so badly disguised in those eyes. And Will had always had a thing for older men. He had always had a bit of a crush on Weatherby Swann.
"Governor," he said, looking back at him from beneath feminine eyelashes. He saw the Governor swallow and shift his weight.
"Why are you out here? The party for you and my daughter is inside."
Will blinked. "Governor, it is not your daughter I want."
Governor Swann stepped forward, eyes narrowed, and Will steadied himself. He walked towards the older man, trailing his thumb along his jawline. Then he closed his eyes. The evening had been full of mistakes. Why not add another one?
He leaned forward and captured Weatherby Swann's lips in a kiss.
