Here's a sneak peek of the first episode of my upcoming new fanfiction series called Teen Girl in a Toon World.
Later, the two boys were still hunting in the forest. They hadn't found anything for a long time.
"I'm getting tired, Cuphead," Mugman groaned. "Why don't we get back to the house and get something to e-"
Without warning, Cuphead grabbed Mugman by the handle and showed him what he found. "Mugman! Look!"
On the ground was a footprint that looked like nothing they had ever seen. Cuphead bent down and examined it.
"Seems like the beast roams these parts," Cuphead voiced his thoughts aloud. "Probably a good place for a tra-aaAAAAHHH!"
Suddenly the two of them were whisked up into the air. They had, in fact, fallen into a trap, rather, a single rope trap. Cuphead's left leg and Mugman's right were stuck in it.
"You just had to say something, huh brother?" Mugman groaned.
The "beast" stepped out from behind some bushes and the two boys looked up. It was a live-action human teenager who looked nothing like a cartoon, at least to the boys. She wore a dirty cream-colored shirt, a short blue skirt, clearly dirty white socks and a black shoe; one was missing. It looked alot like a school uniform. She was panting and holding a pointed stick.
"Gotcha! Thought you got away with ol' Ashley, eh? Well, you didn't!" the "beast" said.
Cuphead gasped at the abomination before them.
"Unusual colors, weird lining, stiff movements, THE BEEEEAASST!"
"I don't wanna die!" Mugman screamed.
"Stop following me," the girl mumbled.
"I have bad news for you, beast!" Cuphead yelled boldly. "We taste terrible!"
"Especially the stuff in our cups!" Mugman yelled back.
"Ew, I am not gonna eat you." she frowned, putting down her stick.
"You tried to eat Accordo!" Mugman protested.
"I was trying to ask "Accordo" for help. He ran off screaming like a maniac the second he saw me!" Ashley quoted Accordo's name with irritation.
"That does sound like Accordo…" Cuphead said slowly.
Suddenly a loud hissing sounded from the trees behind her. Trees started falling over.
"It's coming back!" she screamed.
"What is?" Mugman asked worriedly. Ashley groaned, picked up her stick, and started running away.
"Where you going? Hey, you're not gonna leave us like this are you?!" Cuphead yelled.
The monster hissed from afar. The boys flailed about, screaming. Cuphead started to gnaw on the rope to free himself. The monster hissed loudly again and Mugman screamed.
Ashley frowned, cut them both free, then grabbed them and started running. She and the boys ducked into a log. The monster—a giant cobra—checked the outside then slithered by. The kids gasped for air and collapsed onto the ground.
"You…you saved us!" Cuphead grinned. "You're not a beast at all! You're a hero! An ugly, ugly, ugly hero!"
"Call me ugly again, and maybe I will eat you," The young live-action human said, offended.
"Ha. You're not gonna eat us," Cuphead chuckled. "You got a name, stranger?"
"My name's Ashley," the human teenager said. "Ashley Masenado."
Mugman gasped in excitement. "Well, I'm Mugman and this is my brother Cuphead! Put 'er there!" He held out his hand and Cuphead did the same.
"Uhh…o-okay…" She shook both their hands then her stomach grumbled. She sighed. "Okay, boys. You got anything to eat that aren't bugs?"
"No bugs, eh? We'll have to hunt around a bit," Cuphead said. He crawled out of the log with the others behind him. "C'mon! Follow us!"
"How do I know I can trust you?" Ashley asked suspiciously.
"Whaaat?" Mugman asked before making a cutesy face. "Does this look like a face that could deceive you?"
This made Cuphead cringe a little. Ashley chuckled and replied, "Yeah, I guess not."
"Well, then, c'mon!" Mugman grabbed her arm, startling her. "Chow time!" Cuphead yelled as they ran off together.
Due to various unseen circumstances, Teen Girl in a Toon World's release date may vary.
Wow, I didn't realize how popular this fanfic would get. So reassurance everyone, I found some backup files on Google Drive with almost all of the episodes (some are still not written yet) so production has resumed.
If you guys would like I'll clarify some things for all of you. TGiaTW is a combination of the game and show (and maybe some of the books) with elements of both but just enough to keep a balance. There's also a bit of originality with original episodes because I feel uncomfortable with this series consisting of just copied versions of the original TCS! episodes. However, please note that some of the Amphibia episodes will also be adapted; this is only because I've run out of ideas for original episodes as of now.
And the problem with the releasing is because life seems to love stopping from me from editing the episodes when I seem to be allowed to use the iPad (which is what I use to write the episodes). But I'm getting better at managing so don't worry. As of now I've made lots of progress on some of the episodes, which I've set a goal to release before summer's over.
And if you guys would like, maybe you can help expand this fanfic's wiki while you wait! Here's the link to the main page: wiki/Teen_Girl_in_a_Toon_World_Wiki . Just copy paste the link or type it in, and voila!
One last thing: thanks to all of you who're reading this fanfic and supporting it! And thanks for all the great ideas too. They're all helping me with the series in a great way, so don't stop the ideas from coming (just not too fast okay?)!
This fanfic was written in honor of the one show that inspired me to write it: Amphibia. Thank you so much to Matt Braly and the crew who worked on it. Teen Girl in a Toon World will do its best to carry on your legacy.
