Chapter One
It was a new beginning in Bella's life as she was currently on a flight to a small town named Forks, where her father Charlie lived, she hadn't been there for years, but decided to go and live with him as her mum was unhappy staying home while her partner travelled around as he was a baseball player.
Several, hours later she was leaving the plane and walking out into the airport where she spotted her dad waiting, "Bella" he said loudly waving excitedly.
Hurrying forward, she smiled and gave him a warm hug. It had been years since she had seen him and 'she was glad she had made the decision to live in Forks' she thought as she pulled away.
Helping her with her stuff, they wandered out of the airport and into the police car which was out in the car park. Sighing, she smiled and put on her seat belt in the front seat "has anything changed in Forks that i should know about?" she asked.
"Not much really, you know that old mansion left abandoned for years in the woods, we someone has got planning permission to renovate it so it looks like we will be getting new people living there, once it's finished, it will take at least several months, even a year to get it up to scratch"
"Oh, have you met them?"
"No no not yet i have been meaning to, maybe once your settled we can go together, i would love to seee what they do with the place, they must be very rich to be able to afford all that work on a very big house"
"Hmmm" she replied rather excited to meet these new people.
She was feeling rather tired with jet lag and needed sleep as she yawned.
"You need sleep" said Charlie, "we'll be home soon"
Fifteen minutes later, they were puling up the driveway of the old house where she used to stay, she was glad to see nothing much had changed.
Bringing out her stuff from the boot of the car, they went into the house and upstairs to her old room, "i've put shelves in the bathroom" he said as she saw her room was the same as she had left it. "Sale's lady picked out the bed stuff, you like purple?"
"Purple's cool" she said looking at it.
"The one thing good about Charlie, he doesn't hover' she thought as he left her to get settled and maybe some sleep. Sitting on her bed, she gopt up again and sorted out the bed stuff and lay down on the covers not bothering to change as it was durning the day in Fork's but ate evening where she had come from, she thought as her head hit the soft pillow.
The next morning, Bella awoke early, jet lag free and felt much better as she had a shower and got dressed, she remembered 'the weird dream of a thick old book on some sort of stand. It had been green with a red triangle made out of circled which had been red, she had been in some sort of attic room as there was boxes and old furniture covered in white sheets she had been about to go to the window and look out' but that's when she woke up. she thought quietly heading down stairs, but Charlie was up getting ready for work after dropping her off at school, they were eating breakfast when the doorbell went. "Who can that be?" they both wondered.
Charlie and Bella got up and he opened the door to see a tall couple, a handsome man who looked quite fit with black short hair and a woman with shoulder length hair and a young man about 18 or so stood smiling. "Hey there, i am Angel, this is my partner Darla and my son Connor, were the ones renovating the old mansion" said the man smiling extending his hand, with gloves on to Charlie.
"Oh" said Charlie rather surprised and shook the man's hand.
"Thought we'd catch you before you leave for work and meet the sherif of this town" said Angel smiling warmly.
"I've been meaning to introduce myself this is my daughter Bella" said Charlie.
"Hey" she smiled shaking their hands, noticing the looked rather pale.
"Would you like to come in and have some food?" said Charlie, not realising his mistake.
"No thank's we've already eaten?" said Darla smiling.
"You must be very wealthy to renovate that old place, it's been abandoned for years"
"We're from LA, and decided to come and sort out a holiday home" said Darla.
"I would love to see inside that place and when its finished"
"Would you like to come round and see it some time" said Angel.
"Yes that would be interesting"
"How about to day after work, when do you finish?"
"Five pm"
"See you about 6.30pm" said Angel.
"Yes that would be good"
"Cant wait" said Bella smiling.
We'll see you then they said about to leave.
"Nice car" said Charlie, noticing the sports car.
"Thanks, see you both tonight" said Darla.
Closing the door, "nice people" he said going back to the kitchen.
"He's quite fit" said Bella, sitting back down at the table.
"He must be a body builder, with those muscles" Charlie replied putting on his jacket.
"Are you ready to go?"
"Let me get my bag and jacket" said Bella standing up and hurrying up stairs.
Grabbing her stuff, she hurriedly went back down stairs and both went out to the car.
It was middle of term and she didn't know anyone and she was early and the pace was full of cars and teenagers, she thought.
"You have a good day" said Charlie smiling before driving off.
In the office, Bella sat down to another young woman with long light brown hair who was sitting beside a handsome young man with brown hair. , she looked and smiled, "Are you Bella?" the young woman asked.
"I'm Dawn, Summer's and this is Stefan were both starting today, we know Angel and Darla, Connor, i'm also new, they introduced themselves this morning"
Bella smiled and shook their hands "yes" she said shaking their hands, "nice to meet you both where are you staying if the place is not ready?"
"In the hotel at the minute, i am sharing with the other assistant his name is Andrew, I'm a part time assistant to Angel after school and at the weekends, if am needed during the day i usually take the odd day off school" careful 'not to let their dark secret slip' Dawn thought 'and she knew about the man who read people's minds his name was Edward after Angel did some research on the Cullen's and she knew there were Vampires and witches, she wasn't sure if they knew about the witches as they didn't go out in the sun, they would probably get a shock to see Angel, Darla and Spike out in the sun and she was worried about them finding out her secret as her thoughts were not safe around him and Angel and the other's did not want the Cullen's to find out about Connor being Angel's real son it would be complicated to explain it all, she also knew about the wear wolves and this worried her as there bite could kill a vampire and Klaus was in New Orlean's so there wasn't a cure near by and she didn't want anyone to know that she had an older sister who was a slayer' thought Dawn as they got their schedule's.
A few moments later they were both looking at the piece of paper when a male voice said "Hey you guys, i'm Eric the eye's and ears of this pace, anything you both need, a tour guide or a shoulder to cry on" as they both looked at a young man with black hair.
"Hey I'm Dawn and this is Bella" said Dawn as they both followed him to class.
Going into the class room, the teacher handed them books and told them to take a seat when Stefan stiffened and the smile vanished as he stood still staring at a pale young man who was also staring looking rather shocked.
"Stefan" said Dawn trying to get him to move by giving him a slight push.
"Oh sorry" he said sitting in front of the young man next to Dawn, leaving Bella to sit next to him who held his nose with his hand, with Stefan turning to look every so often.
She felt very uncomfortable with the young man glaring and with Stefan's cold looks towards him. He got up just before the bell rang at the end and and she sighed in relief.
"Do you not like him?" Bella asked Stefan, who also seemed glad he had left.
"He was rather rude don't you think?" Stefan replied not answering.
Dawn turned and said "actually they have a lot in common, they just won't get along being near the same age"
"Dawn" Stefan warned her about something and this made Bella curious, but she didn't ask any more as they were leaving class for the next one. The young man wasn't in that one. But he sat alone at a table a bit away from Eric who introduced, them to his friends, Mike, Jessica and Angela all of them in the same classes.
After a day of getting to know everyone, Bella felt tired but happy, she was curious about Stefan as Dawn seemed slightly scared of him and was clearly hiding something and she was now sitting in Stefan's fancy black sports car and it had four seats and soft top and she had texted Charlie at lunchtime to say that she was going to the mansion with Stefan and Dawn after school so he never needed to pick her up.
The drive was okay, he drove quite fast, so it didn't take long to get to the entrance way to the mansion, there was a turning bit for people in the middle of trees, it looked muddy and not much of a road, as bits of grass had grown over it. 'She herself had not noticed it'
Looking a head, the trees cleared after a couple of minutes and, they came to a large grey building, it had double brown doors and lot's of windows, which were left wide open with work men going in and out. "Wow" she said rather surprised as she saw Darla and Angel coming out. they waved as they neared. Un buckling her belt, she got out saying it's amazing and looks like the Queen's palace in London but a bit smaller. "Hey there" said Darla smiling.
"This place is amazing" as they showed her in.
"It's kind of starting to come together" said Angel as they entered, she saw two sets of stairs one to the left and one to the right, a rather large space and high ceilings. "This area in between the stairway is going to be reception area, where Dawn and Andrew will be, this is going to be my office he said to a door to the left and a waiting area to the right, the living room and dining room and large kitchen are this way" heading to a door ahead.
After being showed around the large house 'she was amazed the place even existed' she thought as she spotted Charlie standing in the door way "Hey" she said smiling.
"Dad this is Stefan and Dawn, they started school the same time as me"
"Hi" said Stefan shaking his hand and Dawn's as well.
"I'm Charlie"
After showing Charlie about, they left to go home after getting to Spike and Andrew. Spike was a tall man with white hair and skinny in a leather coat and Andrew was smaller with short blond hair. 'They seemed nice' she thought waving at them as they drove off. "I might go to bed" said Bella yawning i feel really tired for some reason 'the weird dream springing in her mind'
Half an hour later or so it was evening and Bella went straight upstairs to her room and without changing her clothes, she flopped onto her bed, as soon as her head hit the pillow she was out like a light faster than normal.
Back in the attic room she touched one the boxes "it feels so real" she said aloud to herself heading to the thick book. As she touched it a white light glowed from the ceiling. Moving her hands, she looked down in time to see the book glowing an orange light which hit her with such force that her head snapped back and she wobbled sightly on her feet.
Once it stopped, she looked down rather out of breath, she saw the book had vanished "Oh" she gasped, her body shaking with shock.
And that was when she woke up sweating and shaking, "just a dream" she gasped to herself aloud, noticing her hands shaking, 'can't be real' she thought worriedly.
Meanwhile as Bella slowly recovered, back in San Fransisco, Piper's screamed, when she noticed the book wasn't there, her scream brought everyone into the attic room. "Does anyone have the book, it's gone?" she asked rather shocked.
"Hey catch" said Fifteen-year-old Wyatt throwing a book in the air and Piper moved her hands to freeze it, but nothing happened, it just fell to the floor.
"I can still Orb" said Chris, Orbing to the other side of the room.
"Try levitating?" Paige told Phoebe.
Sighing worriedly Phoebe lifted her arms up, but was shocked when nothing happened.
"We have no powers" said Piper trying to blow up a box of junk, when the door bell went, "who can that be?" she said aloud going to look out the window, seeing a couple of men dressed in black suits.
All headed down to the door to find two Demon's waiting, they both seemed on edge "our magic has disappeared" said the man with grey hair, "we had to get a taxi here" looking rather annoyed.
"Oh" gasped Piper. "Has magic disappeared again, someone has stolen our book of shadows?" feeling rather light headed with shock.
"Call the Elder's to see if they know anything?" Piper told her family, as the two demon's left and she 'was surprised they did not attack them even without their powers' she thought closing the door, unsure what was happening.
As Piper and her family spoke to the Elder's, Bella was pacing up and down nervously when she thought of 'the bathroom to have a shower', and a strange sensation ran through her and when she blinked her eyes, she found herself in the bathroom without walking or opening her bedroom door Oh she gasped feeling rather cold, angry and faint she turned on the light and looked in the mirror at her ver pale sweaty face. Apart from that she looked pretty normal, it only looked as if she was in shock, about to turn on the tap for water when the strange feeling re appeared and she found herself in her bedroom again. "What's going on?" she gasped aloud to herself, hearing Charlie getting up early for work, as she tried to control whatever was happening to her, so she sat down and tried to clear her mind when she heard a noise and found her room in a mess, with drawers open, clothes on the floor and pits of paper. "Oh" wondering "whom she could ask for help' when the feeling came back and opening her eyes, she found herself in a dark place.
Adjusting her eyes to the light, someone turned on the light "is someone there?" asked a male voice, spinning around, she saw Angel standing in the door way, who seemed startled that she was there.
