Epilogue 1: In the Human Realm

Sorry if this took longer then expected to come out. But writer's block can be a pain.

Earth-83

A few days later

Hi. My name is Danny Fenton.

Once upon a time, I was an average teenager living in Amity Park until a zap from my parents Ghost Portal turned me into a half-ghost. So I became the superhero known as Danny Phantom, only superhero in the world and protector of Amity Park. Though with my friends and I now knowing about the multiverse. However, due to meeting other heroes from different realities, like the Doctor, Captain Carter, and Hyperion. Now my friends, family, and I now know that my fights with the ghosts of the Ghost Zone looked little by comparison.

You see for the last couple of nights, ever since the Halloween night, I've been having nightmares. Not just seeing my friends and family being killed by one of my regular foes, but from beyond.

When I entered Hyperion's mind to free him from his nightmare realm, I saw things that made the Ghost King, Vlad, and even the Derichets look tiny by comparison.

As I was explaining to my good friend, Sam, on an online chatroom, explaining what happened a few days ago. She was in West Africa doing charity for the last several months as I explained what happened on Halloween to her, with the Fright Knight and his army attacking, and about Star now becoming the latest member of our team.

Sam blinked after I finished my story and then said, "Wow, that is a lot to take in. Mainly Star becoming an action hero and ditching popularity entirely. Always thought she was a suck-up to Paulina. Then again, after my parents were dusted and brought back, they suddenly became cool with my choices and allowed me to do this volunteer work in the first place. Believe me, if this dusting never happened they certainly wouldn't have allowed it. So I don't see it as a total stretch."

Sam and I then laughed at this realization. After that I then spoke, "Well, I'm glad that you are supporting my decision to allow Star to become a member of the Team."

"Well, with Jazz and I away from Amity Park. I'd say that you are going to need all the help that you can get. But you got something else to tell me"

I sighed.

Sam was my best friend, maybe something more, and was there when I became Phantom. True, while she was the one that dared me to go into the Ghost Portal, she's also been supportive of my superhero activities since day one.

I told Sam what I saw in Hyperion's nightmare realm. It was set on what you would associate with stereotypical Kansas farm and when I arrived there, I saw a small boy, who I quickly realized was supposed be Hyperion as a child.

I tried to comfort the small Hyperion, but then suddenly the sky darkened. I looked up and a giant armored being was casting the shadow over not just us. But the entire Earth in this illusionary world.

"What the hell is that thing!" I yelled in shock at what I was seeing.

The regressed Hyperion then told me, "A Celestial. One of the most powerful being in the universe and creators of the Eternals, my race."

The giant being then spoke to Hyperion in a loud booming voice that worked at being intimidating, "YOU ARE A DISGRACE TO YOUR RACE. YOU CALL YOURSELF AN ETERNAL! YOU COULDN'T SAVE TERRA FROM YOURSELF. REMEMBER YOUR DEAD TEAMMATE! REMEMBER THAT YOU COULDN'T SAVE NUKE! WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THAT YOU CAN BE AN ACTUAL SUPERHERO!"

I decided to ignore what the giant was saying and focused on Hyperion.

"Hyperion, listen to me." I explained, "This is all an illusion created by your enemy, the Fright Knight. Just repeated after me. This is not real."

To make a long story short. We both got out of that nightmare realm.

But seeing that Celestial made me realize that the Multiverse was vast. The planet-sized being made Vlad, the Derichets, and the various of other ghosts that I usually tangle with look tiny by comparison. Plus, a group of shapeshifting aliens with time travel at their disposal and an evil version of Hyperion, whose strength makes mine look tiny by comparison. I shuttered at the thought of all of those things.

Sam rubbed her temples and said to me, "Well, that's a lot take in."

I laughed a little, mainly to cheer myself up. I then spoke, "Yeah, definitely. But still what I saw in Hyperion's mind was enough for me to, well, nightmares."

I told Sam what nightmares I've been having. In the nightmare I see the Derichets and the various of ghostly enemies that I usually fight rampaging across Amity Park under a red sky. The corpses of my friends and family are lying on the ground. The giant Celestial overlooking everything and calling me a failure. It ends with everything being destroyed. And their was no Doctor, Star, or Hyperion to come to the rescue.

After explaining it to Sam, she then said, "Well, I'm not psychiatrist like Jazz. But all can say is that I'm here for you."

I then said, "Thanks Sam. I really needed that."

I smiled. As long as my friend's and family were behind my back, I am confident that I can take on any challenge, whether it's a ghost, alien, or whatever the Multiverse had to throw at me. Whatever the challenge was, I can take it.

I was in a base so secret, that only a select few individuals knew of its true meaning. It was run by a government organization known only as the Guys in White, with a name like that you can tell that they mostly consisted of a bunch of morons and fools.

I was seated in an interrogation room with the stereotypical chair, table, and one-sided mirror. In front of me was the leader of the GIW, known only as Agent Alpha. He presented himself as an intimidating leader to me. But I did not even flinch.

He spoke in a serious, good cop voice to me, "Listen Fred, while you are our prisoner. I am willing to give you an offer."

I said in my usual cheery voice, "I'm listening."

Agent Alpha continued, "Since we do allow you access to the latest news, especially those regarding Phantom. I take that you obviously know the latest stories coming out of Amity Park."

I smiled and said, "The Multiverse is real. Along with the various of threats that come with it."

"Correct. While that Doctor, his sidekick's, and Hyperion have mainly been against the ghosts, as well as those Derichets freaks that Masters allied with. It'll only be a matter of time before they, along with Phantom, will slip and show their true colors. Using the devices that we were able to get from Master's estate we spied on the conversation that Hyperion gave Phantom and his allies an element called Argonite that was meant to harm an evil version of him. Further proof that those capes are nothing but monster's in disguise." Agent Alpha arrogantly stated with his own biased doctrine.

I listened as he continued, "Not only that but also we've been able to discover that another group of aliens that can shape-shift called Skrulls are trying to take over the multiverse. So far, using our resources, we haven't found any of them in our universe. But it will only be a matter of time before they show up. So, in order to deal with the threat, we must strike first."

I then asked the obvious question, "So what do you need me for?"

"Our two previous options have been compromised. Maddie Fenton, turns out to be the mother of that half-freak. While Masters is a half-freak himself with numerous crimes attached to himself. You know how to control ghosts and have knowledge of the supernatural that is unparalleled to any other options we have available…"

Before Agent Alpha could finish his sentence, I suddenly spoke, "So you want me to work as an advisor of sorts to you." I then laughed and said, "I'll take it."

A grin formed around the Agent's face. "Excellent. Your cell will be transformed into an office of sorts. For our's and America's benefit of course."

I nodded as two other agents came into the room to take me back to my cell, soon to be my new office.

I hide my grin that was definitely forming in my mind. These Fools in White won't know what hit them. But I'll do what they say for the time being.

For my name is Frederich Isak Showenhower. But I prefer to be called Freakshow.

That's done and dealt with.

The second and final epilogue will have surprises in store as well. So stay tuned.

Hope my American reader will have a good Thanksgiving. Tofa.
