A few minutes ago...
Bright lights burned Uraraka's eyes as she opened them to see where she was. Her vision was blurry and spotty, but eventually cleared up after a long minute of blinking them. Her head hurt like hell as she tried to sit herself up and against the wall behind her. There was something in her mouth that was making her gag. She spit it out and a piece of her dress fell out.
Everything came rushing at her all at once and remembered what happened.
Hi-Himiko Toga?! She was here! And she...
She looked down at her shoulder and saw another piece of her dress wrapped around the area where she was stabbed. Toga actually snuck in and stabbed her when she was lost in thought about...
Izuku!
Toga had turned into her right in front of Uraraka's very eyes. It was very disturbing. She hoped she would never have to deal with this ever again. Toga wanted Midoriya, and she was using her to get to him.
Uraraka hated to think it, but she clearly loves him. But, that didn't make what she was doing right. In fact, it was messed up. She had to stop her from taking him away or worse. She didn't even want to imagine any of that as she got up off the floor.
While she was splashing cold water on her face, she tried to come up with a plan to stop and/or capture her.
What would Izuku do in a time like this?
Uraraka tried to think back on everything Toga told her. She'd rather not, but it might help her deal with someone like her. Someone who wanted to become her to be with someone she loved. To be... someone else.
That's it.
She stared at herself in the mirror and had an urgent look on her face. Her makeup didn't look too bad, but her hair was a little messy. Unfortunately, there was a bruise on her forehead from Toga knocking her out. There was a few tears in her dress from the scuffle, and her blood had stained one of the straps. Uraraka didn't quite understand everything, but she knew enough to stop her from doing something really bad.
Before she could hesitate, Uraraka ripped off another piece of her dress and wrapped it around the old one. She made sure it was tight enough so she wouldn't lose any more blood. Once she took a step towards the bathroom door, one of her high heels broke.
Seriously?! I don't have time for this!
She tossed them off her feet and unlocked the door, only to be face to face with Yaoyorozu. They both almost jumped out of their skin, but Uraraka noticed she was out of breath.
"Yaoyorozu?!"
"Oh my god, it really is you!" Yaoyorozu cried as she tried to stop herself from crying, but didn't succeed very well, "Midoriya was dancing with you, and you two looked so cute together. And the next thing I knew, he was yelling out that she wasn't you, and I figured I should check here since that was the last time I talked to you--"
"Yaoyorozu, It's okay," Uraraka interrupted her, placing a hand on her shoulder for support, "I'm right here. I'm okay."
"Bu-But you're not! You're bleeding and your beautiful dress is all ruined."
"That's doesn't matter right now. I have to stop her before she hurts Izuku."
Uraraka ran off before Yaoyorozu could question what she had just said.
"Did she just call him Izuku?"
Immediately, Uraraka noticed that mostly everyone in the building were all looking in one direction. Some looked urgent while others looked confused. There was no way of getting through.
But she knew how to get over it.
She quickly took off her gloves and backed up a couple steps. Taking a deep breath, she ran towards the crowd. A couple of her friends in the back saw her running at them, including Kendo and TetsuTetsu. AllMight even looked distraught not able to see anything, but kept her focus on what she was attempting to do. Once Uraraka gained some speed, she quickly activated her zero gravity quirk and jumped over everyone.
A lot of people seemed to be too fixated about whatever was on the other side to notice her. She looked down below her and almost lost balance in the air. She spotted herself sitting on top of Midoriya, and he wasn't moving.
RELEASE!
She began to fall and braced herself. A moment right before touching the floor, she quickly used her quirk to lighten her landing and deactivated it. Before even thinking of what to do in a time like this, she used her quirk on the imposter and threw her onto the floor.
"Get your hands off Izuku!"
Everyone was more confused than ever. But a couple of Uraraka's friends were crying tears of joy to see that she was alive.
"Uraraka! You're okay!" Ashido cried as she was about to give her a big hug.
But Uraraka couldn't celebrate right now. Not when Ochaco was about to hurt Midoriya. She couldn't even wrap her head around what she could've possibly been doing while she was out cold.
"Izuku, are you okay?" Uraraka asked urgently, rushing over to his side.
She tried to help him up, but he had to catch his breath first. He was very pale, and it took him a second to realize who had just helped him.
"Och-Ochaco!" Midoriya was about to embrace her in a warm hug, when he noticed the damage Ochaco had caused, "You-You're bleeding! And yo-your dress!"
Midoriya was so relieved to see that she was alive, but hated seeing her like this. Especially knowing who had caused it. After working so hard on everything this week, someone like her just comes in and ruins it all. They both looked at Ochaco, who was now furious.
Her piercing glare targeted Uraraka the instant she was thrown off of the love of her life. She had to get out of here, but not without one of them. With at least one of them, she could still execute her plan.
Somehow.
Uraraka stepped between Midoriya and Ochaco, more determined than ever.
"I'm not going to let you hurt Izuku anymore. You may look like me right now, but I would never hurt him!" Uraraka declared to the imposter and in front of everyone, "You actually thought you were going to get away with this, didn't you? Take me and Midoriya away so you could have him all to yourself. Lock me up and pretend to me for the rest of your life. Let me be clear to you in a way you might understand: I'm no one's doll!"
Ochaco stood there like a statue, contemplating on everything that has happened between meeting these two and up until now. She thought these two of all people would understand her feelings, especially Uraraka.
No... Ochaco thought, You don't love him... You haven't even told him the truth... But I have... He belongs TO ME!
She couldn't take it anymore.
"Get away from my Izuku, you faker!" Ochaco cried as she threw herself at the real one.
They both fell to the floor and tackled each other. If it weren't for Uraraka's injuries and torn dress, it would've been impossible to keep track of who was the real Ochaco Uraraka. Ochaco tried to scratch at her face, but Uraraka kept her at arms length.
"I'm Ochaco! Not you!"
"Stop pretending to be someone you're not!"
Luckily her quirk activated, and Ochaco started to float up. Uraraka had the upper hand and grabbed the back of her neck and one of her arms.
Gunhead Martial Arts!
And slammed her into the floor.
"Toga! Stop it!" Midoriya cried as he tried to protect Uraraka, "It's over!"
Everything she ever wanted was right in front of her and yet...
Her plan failed.
When she looked up at the two people she cared about most, anger and disgust were written all over their faces. They were both injured because of her, but for once she couldn't bare to look at them any longer.
"No... Izuku... Ochaco... How could you do this to me?..." Ochaco whimpered, her emotions getting the best of her.
At the same time, her disguise was starting to melt off, getting all over her beautiful dress. Her brown hair and eyes dissolved, revealing her messy blonde hair and golden eyes underneath.
Her defeated eyes drifted to the floor, and saw something shining a few feet away.
It was her knife. It was just out of reach, and no one seemed to notice.
"You have everything I could ever want," Toga confessed, catching Uraraka off guard.
In that moment, Toga bit Uraraka's arm that was pinning her down and let her go. She aggressively grabbed the knife off the floor, and it looked like she might launch another attack.
But she didn't.
Instead she took out a piece of paper. It looked like a picture of something, but Uraraka and Midoriya couldn't tell from where they were standing. They could tell it meant something to her, whatever it was.
"But, at least I know who I am. You haven't even expressed your true feelings to the person you care about," She continued as she stared at the picture.
Uraraka stiffened and stole a glance towards Midoriya. He was staring back at her, looking confused as to what she meant by that.
"You can go ahead and waste your time, but I'd rather not be a part of it."
To everyone's surprise, Toga threw down the picture and ran for the exit. She was a lot faster than anyone expected. Midoriya tried to capture her with Black Whip, but she had already disappeared into the chilly, winter night.
Everyone stared at the exit for a good while, thinking she might come back.
But there was no sign of her anywhere.
All of the students felt like they could breathe again and cheered for the two Class 1-A students. They had taken care of a crazy villain and were still standing. But Uraraka's curiosity got the best of her, and she went to see what Toga had been staring at before leaving. She picked it up and gasped at a sudden realization.
She... was there...
It was the collage of pictures her and Midoriya had taken at the mall. They thought it had ran out of paper at the time. It had a slit in the middle, indicating she stabbed it with her knife.
Then a flash of Toga leaving the Winter Dance caught her attention and noticed something she didn't think was possible.
She saw tears.
Himiko Toga... Was she crying?...
Here's another chapter done!
Uraraka stood her ground! Toga's gone, but what's going to happen now? Are they still going to be able to perform after what happened? We'll see!
More coming soon!
