"Millions of years ago, a meteorite made of Vibranium, the strongest substance in the universe, struck the continent of Africa, affecting the plant life around it. And when the time of men came, five tribes settled on it and called it Wakanda. The tribes lived in constant war with one another until a warrior shaman received a vision from the Panther Goddess Bast, who led him to the Heart-Shaped Herb, a plant that granted him superhuman strength, speed, and instincts. The warrior became king and the first Black Panther, protector of Wakanda. While four of the tribes agreed to live under the King's rule, the Jabari tribe isolated themselves in the mountains. The Wakandans used Vibranium to develop technology more advanced than any other nation. But as Wakanda thrived, the outside world around them descended into chaos. So, to keep themselves and Vibranium safe, the Wakandans vowed to hide in plain sight. Keeping the truth of their power from the outside world."
This is the story of how Peter Parker's destiny changed from Agent S to a member of Wakanda.
Richard and Mary were currently on their private S.H.I.E.L.D. jet headed to the Hub with a small portable baby carrier that was bulletproof and designed to close at the sign of danger to their side.
"The galaxy, to your eyes, is a hundred billion points of light. But what you see as light, I see worlds and all the countless stories that fill them. But in a multiverse of infinite possibilities, is your fate chosen by your nature or the nature of your world?"
This baby carrier was holding none other than their son, Peter Parker.
"In this universe, instead of having Phil Coulson babysit for them, the Parker's brought their son along with them. As they didn't know who they could trust within the government and thought it was the best thing to do."
Richard is trying to hack into a secret server inside the Hub to locate the source of a message spreading through S.H.I.E.L.D.s servers.
"What could this code mean?" Mary asks as Peter started to fuss about his carrier.
"I think it's supposed to be an activation code," Richard says as Mary comforted their son.
"Wait. I think it cracked it." Richard says as part of the code comes through.
'Out — — — in— — light'
"It's just...what if they know?" Mary asks.
"Who knows what?" Richard asks.
"What if these people know about his powers?" Mary explains to her husband as she picked up her son. "He's the first enhanced human since Captain America."
Richard offered her a smile and caressed his son's head to soothe him. Peter began to calm down when Mary smelled the present he left for his parents.
"Oh, someone needs changing. I'll be back." Mary says as she carries Peter to the bathroom whilst Richard keeps trying to crack it when the pilot doors open, and he steps out.
"Mr. Parker." He greets and starts washing his hands over the sink while Richard looks and sees something on his hands he sees and thinks it is blood. Richard starts getting suspicious. "No rest for the future, huh?"
"No, it would seem not, Rumlow," Richard says. "I don't really see why Fury assigned you to this."
"Well, he didn't," Rumlow explains as he turns in the sink. "So, what is it you're working on that's so secret?" He asks.
Richard looks and another part comes in "HYD-A" it says, still incomplete.
"I'm just...planning ahead." He explains, disturbed. "You don't know what's gonna happen. So, you think I can radio the Hub and make sure they're prepared for our arrival?" He asks, getting up.
"Step ahead of you. Already done." Rumlow says.
"I think I'd like to make sure for myself," Richard says as Rumlow pulls out a gun.
"I think we both know that's not an option, Doctor," Rumlow says.
Richard looks back at the computer as the message comes clear. "Hail HYDRA" He looks back to Rumlow in shock. "You're HYDRA?" Richard asks. "HYDRA is still around?"
"Oh, don't worry, even the Director is clueless. We've been here since Rodgers tried beating us." Rumlow explains.
"Cut off one head, two more grow back." Richard understands.
"You know, they told me to kill you," Rumlow explains why he's here. "Then take whatever you have on us. But I can offer you a chance to see your son again. Garret wants to offer you a choice." Rumlow explains.
"A place in HYDRA?" Richard asks.
"All we want to know is what your son can do."
"I'd die before I let you turn him into a weapon for HYDRA," Richard promises him.
Rumlow looks sad. "Come on, Richard, think of your son,"
"I am. That's why I'm not joining." Richard tells him.
"I'm sorry to hear that," Rumlow says and walks towards the bathroom door and makes sure it's locked.
But before he could, the door opened and slammed Rumlow into the wall of the plane.
On the ground below, the three of them had no idea that they were fighting over the hidden civilization of Wakanda.
"I am tired of living in a bubble." A young Prince T'Challa tells his father as he looked out at the city of Wakanda. "There's an entire world out there, Baba."
"Yes, one of war, violence, hatred." The King of Wakanda, T'Challa's father, T'Chaka, stated as he walked over to the window. "That world has nothing to offer Wakanda."
"There must be more," T'Challa stated, not wanting to believe that is all there is out there. "But we must be brave enough to search for it."
"I do understand, my son." T'Chaka promises his son. "Even though the blood of a king runs through your veins, it is pumped by the heart of an explorer. But as someone who has ventured into the greater world, let me assure you, all you will find there is destruction and pain." The two then started to walk away from the window. "Those people do not understand our way of life."
Back up in the air, Richard and Mary were fighting Rumlow whilst Mary did her best to keep him away from Peter who she was able to get into his crater and close it up.
Now it won't open until either its timer allows it to open, or things around it calms down.
"They say you're a genius. S.H.I.E.L.D.'s best to offer." Rumlow says as he takes his laptop and used it to smack Richard and sent him flying. "Sadly, it's a waste."
Mary takes the opportunity to punch him, and Rumlow stumbles and kicks her away from the container currently holding her son and aims the gun at her, and goes to shoot her, point-blank.
"Mary!" Richard shouts as he gets back up and kicks Rumlow before he could shoot just for the gun to go off and hit the currently dead pilot and causing him to hit the wheel and send the plane falling to the ground.
Back on the ground, T'Challa was running through the fields and tossed his spear into the air. Watching it fly and impale the ground where he quickly ran and picked it up again before throwing it again.
But then he threw it one too many times as the spear went through the forcefield blocking Wakanda off from the rest of the world. As he went to retrieve it, the Watcher kept his eyes on the changes in the timeline and alterations to the universe from this one simple change.
"Every journey begins with a single step. But change one step along that journey, and you might end up at a very different destination."
Working fast, T'Challa ran out of the forcefield and found the spear, once he reached it he quickly picked it up when he saw a fireball in the sky and watched as the plane crashed into the ground.
Wanting to check it out, T'Challa raced over to the crash site and saw the plane parts spread all across the jungle.
"Hello?" T'Challa called out as he walked through the rubble with his spear, looking for any survivors.
What he found of the survivors were the scorched and deranged corpses of the pilot. Filled with glass, cuts, and bruises all over his body.
Then he suddenly heard the crying and screaming of a child and saw it was coming from the container that was the only thing that was in one piece.
Once T'Challa reached it, the pod seems to have registered the surrounding area as safe and opened for the young prince.
The baby then quickly saw him and stopped crying and ended up giggling at the sight of him.
"Who are you?" T'Challa asked the young baby as if he was expecting him to respond when he sees his name was embedded into the blanket he was wrapped with. "Peter?"
The baby turned his head at the mention of his name and giggled uncontrollably. T'Challa wondered what's happened to this child to be out here without his parents when he heard someone coughing and gasping for air. T'Challa quickly dragged the carrier and made it to who it was and learned it was Mary.
Mary panted in exhaustion and pain as she groaned in exhaustion. She then looked up and saw T'Challa with her son and tried her best to speak.
"Please...bring him somewhere safe." Mary pleaded to the child and looked at her son. "He's special. If they find him...they'll come for him."
T'Challa looked and wondered what made this child so special. He looked like an everyday baby he looked just may be more aware of his surroundings than he should be, but nothing gigantic.
Just then, he looked and saw the mother has stopped breathing when he saw figures approach and saw it was the Dora Milaje who came looking for the young Prince.
But they were not expecting anything that they found. The crashed plane. The dead woman. And certainly not the prince and a baby together.
They led the prince and child back to Wakanda whilst a figure watched from the distance. She was traveling through the jungle when she noticed the plane crash and the boy just beat her to it.
"In one universe, this young boy became the greatest agent that the world would never see."
Flashes of images of Peter growing up in S.H.I.E.L.D. appeared, followed by him getting his Agent S uniform and swinging over with one of him fighting Electro, another of him fighting Green Goblin, more of him against the Anti-Monitor, Mysterio, and more.
"He would become an agent who would help in saving hundreds of lives, countless worlds, and be the leader to lead the team to save the multiverse."
Images flew of Peter fighting alongside the other heroes of the multiverse and saving the other Spider-Heroes, along with the multiverse to save it from Batman Who Laughs.
"But in this world, he was brought up to become neither a solder nor an agent, but a true warrior."
"That's how it happened." This universe's Peter Parker started his explanation with a heavy accent. "I was taken in by the Royal Family of Wakanda. They raised me."
Péter was looking over Wakanda from the same window in the labs and saw the mountain of Vibranium inside of Wakanda.
"They protected me. And taught me to protect myself."
Péter stood in the open field of Wakanda as the Dora Milaje, led by Okoye, were preparing for another fencing battle. Péter stood in the center of them all, a blindfold over his eyes to make it a bit more challenging.
"I've been stuck in this dome for years..."
"Oh, are you done?" Someone interrupted his monologue.
Péter broke out of his monologue when he looked and saw he was sitting on the edge of Mount Bashenga with his cousin, Ava Ayala. He was just talking to himself when he ended up noticing she was standing behind him, seemingly listening to everything that he had said.
"You've been monologuing to yourself like that for the past ten minutes." Ava scoffed as she came over and sat next to him. "What's going on in that big head of yours?"
"Just thinking of the outside world." Péter sighed as he looked at the forcefield that separated the nation from the world. It was more visible at the beginning of the day as well as at sunset, which made it look...fake. "I am tired of living in fear of the outside world. I know I'm safe here, but what's the point of living if I'm living in fear?"
"Where would you go if you could leave?" Ava wonders.
Péter sulked as he curled his legs to come closer to him. "Find out who I am for starters."
But then his head did a flinch, which caused him to look around the area in confusion. Ava noticed he suddenly went on the edge and wondered what was wrong.
"What is it?" Ava asks him.
"I don't know," Péter admits as he starts to look around. "But something isn't right."
Ava started to look around and enhanced her claws to look around the area. She even started to smell the area using her White Tiger Amulet on her belt and started to look around for the cause of his senses going off.
Péter closed his eyes and started to try and home his senses in on exactly what it was. But he wasn't aware that the threat didn't set off his senses, so he couldn't home in on it. Then there was the fact that he had no scent or way of locating him and can't be located using her enhanced powers.
While they were using their powers to try and locate the intruder (believing it to just be another of the Dora Milaje's attempts to surprise attack) when suddenly Morlun sped out through the caves of Bashenga and shoved Ava off the cliff.
Ava screeched as she spun around and grabbed onto the side of the mountain, embedding her claws into the side of the mountain and skidding down for a moment. Once she stopped sliding down the mountain, she sighed and looked up at the Bashenga, and started to worry about Peter.
"Péter!" Ava cried in worry.
Péter looked toward where Ava was screaming and looked towards the monster. Morlun turned back towards Péter with a snarl, his sharp teeth showing off and his skin looking pale compared to the last universe he was in. He was getting desperate. He needed to feed completely.
Péter however wasn't going to make that easy on him as he pulled out small talon-like claws that he had embedded into his Vibranium clothing. Just because his senses were useless right now, doesn't mean that he is defenseless against sudden attacks.
Morlun came charging at Péter when his reflexes allowed him to dodge the monster that went to claw at his face. Péter used this attack to his advantage as he then grabbed Morlun by the arm and flipped him over his head, using all of his strength to send Morlun into the mouth of Bashenga, which was made out of complete Vibranium, and ended up injuring Morlun due to his hunger.
But Morlun's hunger grew as his strength and speed were starting to enhance as he was becoming desperate. Using a lot of speed and a burst, he flew over and crashed into Péter and the two were sent falling down the side of the mountain. Skidding against the side of the mountain caused the two of them to hit a few rocks that got both of them off balance in the process.
When they slammed against the hard ground, both of them groaned from the fall and the injuries they received. But before Péter could get himself back onto his feet to fight back, Morlun tackled him to keep him on the ground and began the feeding process. Péter tried to push this monster off of him, but his arms were becoming weaker with every passing second Morlun drained his life.
Péter became weaker with every passing second and his skin was becoming pale while his life was leaving him. Morlun was becoming stronger with each passing second that he drained Péter's life force. But before he could finish off his life, a Vibranium spear came flying down and landed beside them. But the spear was filled with a kinetic energy that caused the spear to send out a field of energy that sent Morlun flying off of Péter.
Péter gasped as the feeding process was interrupted, but not fast enough that Morlun didn't get the benefits of it. Morlun growled as he looked around the area to figure out who had just interrupted his meal. Just as he was about to get up, two feet stood before his eyes, followed by the placing of another Wakandan spear.
Looking up at the person upon him, he saw it was no other than a member of the Dora Milaje. More specifically, its leader: Okoye. She then banged the ground with her staff twice, followed by the other members of the Dora coming out and aiming their spears at Morlun as he snarled.
"You are an outsider." Okoye proclaimed in anger.
"What gave it away?" Morlun asks in annoyance.
Okoye shouts something in Xhosa that only they and Péter could understand before going into battle ready. They kneeled down as one of the Dora leaped off of the other's back and went to stab Morlun. But Morlun had gained enough of his strength back so that he could grab the girl and toss her against the mountain. Péter saw that this guy was something more than they have ever gone against yet and tried to help. But all of his strength was gone, and he was unable to even stand.
One of the Dora came charging on with the spear and went for his back. But with the speed he was going, there was no touching Morlun. So, they used and upgraded their spears were given and created an electrical circle using the tip of their spears. He tried to escape, but the circle quickly turned into a sphere and cocooned Morlun inside. This however worked in his favor as with the energy he had, he was capable of running at the wall and blasting the Dora all back, sending most of them flying.
One of them tried to get back up to finish the job when they were grabbed by the neck. Morlun held them up into the air and started to choke the life out of her. Okoye got up just to see the life in her eyes.
"Wakanda forever." She muttered.
Morlun then pierced straight through her Vibranium clothing and embedded his nails into her chest. Okoye cried in anger and got Morlun's attention.
Morlun disposed of her body and marched over to Okoye, ready to Pierce through her the same way. But before he could get to work on her, he was stopped by the Bolts of Balthakk. The Bolts of Balthakk is a spell that called upon the powers of Balthakk to conjure or summon some type of offensive electrical discharge.
Spider Supreme started to float down and made his way down. Peter Allen shot a web at the side of the mountain and quickly grabbed onto it. That's where he came across Ava as she was stuck on the side as well.
"Hi," Peter Allen greeted in a friendly manner. But then he looked over and saw it was someone he recognized. "Ava?"
"Do I know you?" Ava wonders.
Gwen came falling and got an idea as she created a sheet using both of her webs and created a parachute to slow down her descent. But that didn't really work out as she only ended up landing on the mountain and getting her web tangled before slamming her head.
Peter Parker didn't have the same luck as his counterparts as he ended up falling and crashing. But that did help their case as he ended up crashing into Morlun. But before Morlun could absorb his life, he quickly was attacked by someone new.
They were all flung around the area by a new/old face. Depending on the reality that they came from. It was someone wearing the Black Panther suit, which most of them were familiar with, but with a twist. This was someone who was wearing a complete gold and black version of the suit.
When the person landed on the ground, it sent out the kinetic energy within the suit and sent Morlun, Spider-Man, and Spider Supreme flying around the area.
The Black Panther then stood up as he looked around and retracted the mask. Underneath the suit was no other than Erik Stevens. He looked around and noticed that Morlun had taken off and escaped somewhere else.
"Well..." Erik had to admit this was something different. He looks at the people and noticed the three other Spiders. "This is something new."
The group then started to wake up after the kinetic blast ended up knocking them out. The only one awake was Peter Allen who waved at them.
"Have a good nap?" Peter Allen asked them.
"What happened?" Gwen asked as she woke up and rubbed her head.
"The Black Panther showed up." Peter Allen stated. "I thought the Black Panther was just a myth from World War Two."
"The Black Panther is real, alright." Peter Supreme stated as he then fixed his suit. "Leader of Wakanda. Their best warrior."
"And where are we exactly?" Peter Parker asks as he looked around the cell.
"Some sort of cell." Peter Allen admitted. "I was having a chat with their White Tiger when they asked us to wait in here."
"You were...chatting with their White Tiger?" Gwen clarified as she removed her mask.
"Yeah. Discussing differences between mine and their Ava." Peter Allen explained and leaned on the wall. "Fun time."
"Really?" Peter Parker asks. "After all of this, you just talked with them?"
"Yeah, they just wanna make sure that we're not a threat to their Nation." Peter Allen explains why they're in the cell.
"And how long are we supposed to wait? Morlun could be out there somewhere." Peter Supreme stated.
"Why can't you just portal us out of here?" Peter Parker asks him.
"That's not how they work. I need to know where I'm opening a portal to." Peter Supreme stated.
They were being watched from the labs of Wakanda with Erik, Péter, T'Challa, Shuri, and Ava watching them argue.
"You say that they appear out of the sky?" T'Challa asks the two.
"Fell right out," Ava confirmed.
"Interesting," Shuri said as she did scans over the group. "Their genetic signatures are all similar to Péter, yet they are completely different as they give off a... strange signature. It's like they're not of this world."
"The talkative one did say they came from another universe. A few other universes." Ava added.
"Like the multiverse?" Péter asks. "Is it possible?"
"Either that or you have three brothers you never knew about." Shuri mocked.
"Okay, I get it." Péter rolled his eyes. "What do we do now?"
"Your brain experiment work?" Erik asks Péter.
"Possibly." Péter wasn't entirely sure. "It works on me."
"Good enough." Erik shrugged.
The royal family made it down to the cell and opened the doors. Péter had out a small device that attaches to their heads.
"Hey there," Ava said as she and Péter were the only ones to enter the cell. "We're your interrogators for the day."
"Interrogators?" Peter Parker asked questionably. "Yeah, I don't think so."
"We're not the enemy here." Gwen jumped in.
"We think you're telling the truth," Péter assured them. "But we're thinking of the rest of Wakanda. We can't allow you to leave without assuring everyone you're no threat."
Peter Supreme sighed as he stepped forward. "What do we need to do?"
"Put this on your head," Ava stated as he held up the device. "And we see if you're a threat to Wakanda. If not, you can leave. If you are..."
They heard someone activating their claws outside their cell and they could get the message. Peter Supreme sighed and knew what they were going to see if he put that thing on.
"What I have seen...what I have done...you don't want to see." Peter Supreme warns the two of them.
"Sorry," Ava said as she handed the device to him. "Two choices. The brain or the claws."
Peter Supreme looked at the device and knew that he can't just surrender and allow Morlun to ruing the BRANCHES. Taking the device from Ava, he then placed it on his head and started to watch the room change to reflect his memories.
"Whoa, 3D." Peter Allen joked as they looked around at his memories.
They watched as the memory showed a time when Natasha Romanoff was watching over a five-year-old Peter for Coulson while he was on a mission for Fury.
"Am I dangerous?" Peter asked out of the blue as they were sitting on the couch.
"What? Of course not!" Natasha responded immediately. "Why would you ever think that?"
"Because I'm different," Peter says and looks at his hands.
He just recently discovered he has abilities and was informed of everything that happened. How he got his powers, his parents, and why he was treated differently from normal kids.
"Pete, you are not dangerous," Natasha promised him and walked over to him and curled him up in her arms where he held onto her. "You just...can do things that other people can't. And some people are always going to be afraid of things they can't understand. But we're going to keep you safe, you're going to have to keep the secret of your power from other people when the time comes. It'll be alright as long as you make sure no one sees you…which should actually be pretty easy. Your powers are incredible. And you've only scratched the surface of them. Imagine your powers years from now. One day, you'll be the greatest agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., like me and your uncle Clint. You will be the best of us. The greatest hero ever. You will be humanity's shield."
Natasha pecks his head and holds him, knowing one day all of those things will come true.
The other Spiders watched the interaction with great interest as they saw this was his childhood. They at least had normal childhoods before they were given these powers, but now they see Peter Supreme had anything but.
They then watched as the memory changed to one of Peter and Coulson on their way to New Mexico to look into the O-8-4. Coulson pulls up to a gas station and Peter wakes up, which is where the memory starts.
"Come on, I know you're starving with your metabolism. Let's get you something to eat." Coulson tells the boy.
The young Peter steps out of the car and Coulson starts the gas valve as they enter the store. They see only one woman working at the counter, and they move on to get some food. Coulson moves to the small packets of donuts and can't decide on either chocolate covered or powered. Peter's sixth sense goes off and he sees 2 men enter.
"Hands in the air!" One of them says. Coulson moves Peter out of the line of their sight. They look through the mirror above them and see they have guns.
"Who else is here? Who owned the car outside?" The other man asks.
Coulson leans close to Peter. "Time for some Bait and Punch like Aunt Nat taught you."
Peter nods, understanding what he's saying.
Coulson stands up. "That would be me. But it's more like a lease." Coulson states as one of the men point a gun at him.
"Toss the keys over here, come on." The man says and Coulson passes the keys.
Peter is hiding behind an aisle and pulls his web shooters from his selves and waits for his moment to strike.
"Empty the cash register, fill these bags, now." The man says and the woman obliges.
"Excuse me! I also have this gun. You'll probably need that." Coulson says and they aim at him again.
"Drop it!"
"Put it down!" They yell at him.
"Okay, don't want any trouble," Coulson states.
"Toss it over here then." The robber says and Coulson.
"I'd prefer not to throw it, risking it going off," Coulson states. "Maybe I could slide it over."
"Yeah, slide it over to my feet, don't try anything funny." He tells Coulson.
"I'm just gonna move over to the next aisle," Coulson tells him as he moves over.
"Then I'm gonna slide it over to you," Coulson says as he does so, Peter webs up the second robber's gun and pulls it away from him. Coulson grabs a pack of flowers and throws them at his face and Peter knocks him out. Coulson runs up to the second guy and knees him in the face. Coulson takes his keys back.
"You okay, kid?" Coulson asks Peter.
"Come on, they're amateurs," Peter says.
Coulson smiles and they grab their food. "Sorry for the mess," Coulson tells the woman as he places the food on the counter. "I couldn't decide," Coulson says, stating the two packs of donuts. He leaves a 50 bill on the counter. "Keep the change." He tells her.
"Wait. What should I tell the police?" She asks them.
"Tell them those tybotapes paid off," Coulson tells her as they leave.
The entire memory started to change and jump to Peter on his mission to High School. He started to become worried and want to end this. If they saw what he has seen, then things
"Okay, you've seen enough, take this off." Peter Supreme declared as he tried to pry the device off his head, without taking his head with it.
"It comes off when we allow it," Ava said and waved the beads on her wrist at him.
"Hey, I'm Ned Leeds." They watched someone introduce himself to Peter.
"Peter Parker." Peter holds his hand out, to shake his.
"I haven't seen you around before, are you new here?" Ned asks him.
"Yeah, just moved here from Washington," Peter tells him.
"Wow, sounds nice. Why move here?" Ned asks him.
"My uncle got a job out here, we thought it would be better than Washington," Peter tells him.
"Hey, Ned. Who's your friend?" A third person asks, and Peter turns to see a short-haired blonde girl around their age coming up to them.
Gwen looked at the memory and recognized the girl. "That's...me?"
"Hey, Gwen. This is Peter. Peter, this is Gwen Stacy." Ned introduces them to one another.
"Hey, nice to meet you," Gwen says and shakes Peter's hand.
"You, too. Where are you guys headed?" Peter asks them.
"We're on our way to Midtown High. You?" Ned answers.
"Me too," Peter says.
"Oh, that's neat," Gwen says, smiling as they start crossing the road and Peter's six senses start screaming as a car comes speeding up to them. Peter grabs Gwen before the car found hit her and pulls her back. The car comes speeding past and misses them, and Gwen sees it speed past.
"Wow, thanks for that, Peter," Gwen says.
"Dude, how did you do that?" Ned asks him.
"I've got a way to predict when something might happen. It's sorta like a six sense to me." Peter explains as Gwen looks at him.
"Well, whatever it was. Thanks for that." She says and hugs him as they make their way to school.
"Stop it!" Peter Supreme said as the worst memory comes into view. "Stop it!"
The Green Goblin's laugh came into the picture, scaring most of them as all the Spiders have dealt with the Goblin one way or another in their worlds.
"Parker, this is why only fools choose to become heroes. Because you never know when some lunatic will come along, with a sadistic choice. You chose your uncle over your high school sweetheart." Goblin states.
"Put her down, Norman!" Peter commands Norman as Peter starts running to the edge of the bridge to chase him. "Come and get her," Goblin says as he flies off and Peter webs the closest thing and swings after them.
Peter is still chasing Goblin and Gwen and makes his way up above a clock tower and tries webbing the glider and he's too high up. "Norman! Put her down!" Peter shouts to him, losing hope.
"Osborn, this has nothing to do with her! Do you want me? I'm right here! Come get me, just let her go!" Peter shouts, trying to get Gwen away from all of this.
"Very poor choice of words," Norman states as he drops Gwen.
"No!" Peter shouts as he leaps up to catch her.
He grabs onto her, and they come falling into the clock tower. "You okay?" Peter asks Gwen as they land.
"Nothing some therapy won't solve." Gwen quips as a Goblin Bomb gets dropped next to them.
"Hang on!" Peter shouts as he covers Gwen from the explosion that goes off.
Peter's suit absorbs most of the damage to the walk bridge they were on breaks Gwen starts falling and Peter grabs her.
"Hang on, I'll put you down," Peter says as he starts to slowly lower Gwen to the walkway and Goblin comes flying inside.
Peter tries to have Gwen fall onto the platform and she lands on some parts of the clock as he and Goblin start fighting again. He and the Goblin start into hand-to-hand combat, thanks to Natasha's training, Peter gets the upper hand in speed and agility, but Goblin's suit can take many more punches than last time. Gwen starts making her way out of the clock as they continue to fight above her.
Peter breaks the bottom of his glider, seeing it's still as fragile as before and it starts falling. Gwen dodges the glider, but her platform falls apart and Peter shoots a web to catch her. She grabs onto the web and stops from falling. He starts pulling her up as Norman comes down to punch Peter and he starts holding him off and keeping Gwen alive.
Norman holds down Peter's hand holding the web and it makes its way to the clock gears to break. Peter uses his strength to shoot a web at the gears to stop them from moving but it isn't enough. Peter shoots a web in between two of the gears and wraps it around Norman's suit's neck and it gets some of his strength off of Peter.
Peter looks at Gwen and sees it's a long way down and the web is about to be broken. He uses his leg to stop the gears and it doesn't break the web. Peter uses all of his strength to stop the gears with his foot and keep some strength to hold back Goblin.
"Spidey?" Gwen asks out of fear as the gears just end up breaking and slicing through her webbing.
Gwen starts falling as the rest of the clock comes apart and crashes upon Norman, keeping him from moving anytime soon. Peter flips and goes diving for Gwen. He quickly raises his hand to catch her and shoots a web and shoots as it starts navigating through all of the clock parts and they get closer to the ground. Time seems to start slowing down for Peter as the web starts making its way to Gwen to save her from the fall.
Peter's heart is beating so hard, he fears it'll burst out of his chest. The web grabs Gwen and Peter grabs onto a pipe to stop himself and looks down to see her close her eyes as she hits the back of her head on the ground, combined with the whiplash of the fall. Peter stays there for a second and places the web on the pipe and shoots a web to drop to her. He quickly lifts his eyes sockets to see her.
"Gwen?" Peter asks, trying to hear her heartbeat. Even the slightest heartbeat, but he knew she was gone and still lifts her head to find a pulse, praying his senses were off.
"Hey, Gwen? It's me...it's-it's Peter. It's Spidey." Peter says as he takes his mask off entirely and lets the tears fall from his face. "Gwen, I need you to get up. We have to get out of here, he...Norman can get back up any minute." Peter says to her while trying to keep himself calm.
"Come on, Gwen. Stay with me! Stay with me, please!" Peter starts breaking down entirely as his web dissolves off of her and he grabs Gwen himself and holds onto her, not wanting to let her go. After a few tears, he starts to slowly place her on the ground to rest.
Gwen watched the entire thing in shock as she saw that this Peter Parker went through the same motions that she did when her Peter Parker died after he turned into the Lizard. Ava then detached the device and released Peter Supreme from it. Allowing him out of the cell, he then marched off to try and figure out where Morlun is.
As he was getting a few looks from people who were wandering the halls, Gwen ran up to him after going through her memories. It wasn't everyone didn't know about already, just with a bit of worry considering the whole thing about Peter being the Lizard.
"Peter! Hang on." Gwen called out to him and tried to catch up.
Peter Supreme stopped and turned to her. "What?"
"What was that?" Gwen asks as she gestured back to the room. "You ran away."
"Oh, sorry, I only relived my worst memory that I regret for years." Peter Supreme replied in annoyance.
Before he could walk away, Gwen grabbed him by the hand. "Hey." She then forced him to turn and look at him. "Talk to me."
"Why do you care?" Peter Supreme asks her. "You're not the Gwen I lost. And I'm not the Peter you lost."
"But I still care," Gwen stated. "That should say something."
Peter Supreme sighed as the Cloak quickly wiped a stray tear. "Tell me...when you look at me, do you see him."
"What?" Gwen asks, not sure she understands what he's asking.
"Because when I look at you...All I see is her." Peter Supreme confessed with sadness filling his eyes. "I see that fire in her that would never die. Because she wouldn't let it."
Gwen was surprised to listen to him as he knew her. He knew an alternate version of herself, but she was starting to see that this version of herself seems more like her than she thought. Was it possible that this version of Peter was more like her Peter than she realized?
Then they hear alerts going off around the room and they all immediately knew what was going on. Morlun was attacking the Capital.
Morlun sped his way down the halls of the Capital and made his way through the guards. He now gained more power before Eric interrupted the feeding process, and something of this Peter felt...different.
He's been around the Herb. The Black Panther Herb. Didn't matter that he didn't take or eat it, or even the fact he's not a member of the family. It was the fact his body felt its power, it managed to mimic the capabilities. Got close enough to it soon enough so that it was able to absorb the powers of the Herb and enhance his already enhanced senses.
Now Morlun was faster because he stole the powers from Péter.
Ripping his way through the people of Wakanda like it was nothing, he was trying to smell where the nearest Spider was. But with the four of them in one dimension, it was difficult to pinpoint.
And it seems that they knew it too.
It wasn't a Spider that he was dealing with this time, but T'Challa who came in and slams into Morlun from behind, knocking him down. He has a full-face mask with pointed ears. He extends his fingers and sharp claws pop out. He attacks Morlun with sweeping kicks and slashes. Morlun fights back but is kicked into a wall. Black Panther swipes his claws and spins gracefully. Morlun narrowly avoids being slashed; he holds up a Vibranium spear to protect himself from the claws.
As he was trying to hold him back, that's when Shuri came in and was carrying two sonic gauntlets over her arms. She used them to blast Morlun as T'Challa leaped off of him at the last second.
"Did you really think you can waltz in here and hurt one of our own?" T'Challa asks him.
"You may be able to kill Spiders, but you never dealt with any of us." Shuri proclaimed, keeping her gauntlets on him.
"Oh, but I was never picky on who I needed to kill to get my meal," Morlun promised them with a snarl, showing off his sharp teeth. "And if I have to kill all of you to do so...so, be it."
"You talk too much," Eric Stevens commented as he came in and clawed at his face, joining his family. "What's the plan, 'Cuz? Or is beating the crap out of him the full plan? Because I can work with that."
"We need to find his weak spot," Shuri said as she tried shooting him again.
Morlun however ran too fast for them and managed to get around and slice through her gauntlets before they could charge. He then shoved Shuri out of the way and grabbed T'Challa by the head and slammed him into the wall. But before he could go for Erik, he quickly came in and kicked him in the knees. T'Challa got free for a second and managed to kick off the wall and hold Morlun to the ground.
"Hold him down!" T'Challa tells his cousin.
Erik raced in and got ready to help when Morlun moved too fast for him. The two of them were then held by their necks and rose above the ground. Morlun snarled as he saw now, he had something that he could use against the Spiders.
"Come out, little Spiders," Morlun called out. "Or shall I take these two as constellation prizes? How would you feel about that, Spider? If I took your family from you?" Then he waited for something to happen, yet nobody was coming. "Spiders! Show yourself!" When nothing happened, he sighed and looked to the Panthers. "Pity."
Morlun then started to prepare his claws to kill them when suddenly he smelled something, and Péter of this reality came in and charged at the group. He ended up tackling Morlun and sent them crashing out the window. Morlun fell through and left the Black Panthers to drop and start to try and catch their breath.
Morlun grabbed onto Péter as they were sent falling and slid down the side of the Capital building. Péter was trying to grab onto the side, but only got stopped by Morlun who grabbed ahold of him and sent them falling. Absorbing his life on the way down, he was becoming more and more powerful by the second.
"Did you think you could defeat me?" Morlun asked as he continued to feed.
"No..." Péter confessed he knew he couldn't stop him. "But I could lead you somewhere..."
That's when Peter Supreme used the Seven Suns of Cinnibus, a spell that summoned a dazzling brilliant light, and used it to blind their enemy. Before Morlun realized what was happening, Gwen came leaping in and quickly started to try and web Morlun to the ground as Peter Parker did the same from the opposite angle. Then Supreme started to conjure up a portal for them to travel to a specific reality so they could finally end this. But that's when Morlun busted free of the webbing and used what remained of the strand to grab and throw Peter Parker and Gwen. Supreme tried to keep him back and used the Chains of Krakkan. This was a spell that called upon the powers of Krakkan the Jailer to conjure physical chains to restrain adversaries.
It managed to hold Morlun back for a second before Peter Supreme got too close to use the spell directly and Morlun started to suck his life. But that was worse for all of them the more he did it, the more he drained of Peter Supreme's connection to the Mirror. As he was draining his life, Peter Allen came in swinging and did the only thing that he could. He kicked Morlun into the shattered portal, sending him to another universe.
Peter Supreme only realized what he did too late and raced to the portal as he started to worry. "What did you do?"
"I saved your life, don't thank me or anything." Peter Allen stated.
"No. No, no. You just doomed us." Peter Supreme stated as he got back up. "Morlun gained the powers of the Mirror, which means he can manipulate that portal to take him wherever he wants."
"So, we're back at square one?" Peter Parker asks in annoyance.
"Worse. With the power he gained from this Spider-Man, he can keep going for a few worlds." Peter Supreme laid them the worse news. "If he kills any of these Spiders, things can begin to be set off balance."
"What about him?" Gwen asks as she looked down at Péter.
"He'll be fine." Peter Supreme could say and quickly repeated the process he did to protect his universe from Morlun. "Come on. We can't let Morlun keep feeding."
Then they leaped back into the Shattered portal and left the unconscious Péter as they flew through the realities and made their way to the next unknown reality.
When Ava finally returned, she saw that the battle had already ended as she was evacuating others from the capital. She looked over the damage and saw the unconcerned Péter on the ground.
"I swear to Bast, I left you for two minutes," Ava tells her unconscious cousin and quickly carried him back to the labs. "You're heavier than you look!"
