It had been a week since the call with Chris informing the Kirk siblings that their father was alive and in San Francisco. A week for the two of them to wrap their heads around the fact that they will be able to have a full on conversation with him. During that week, George had been staying in Chris's guest room that he had in the apartment. Lori had been very surprised when George had come into the apartment following her husband coming home that evening.

Just like with Sam and Jamie, Lori had resided in the fact that George had been killed on the Kelvin by those crazy Romulans from the future. Soon it was time for George to finally meet his children face to face once again since it had been over two decades for Sam and George had never met his daughter. Though that didn't stop Jamie from messaging her father with question after question about things she wanted to know about him. She especially wanted to know if she got certain things about her habits or personality from either his genetics or Winona's.

So far Jamie found out that she could sing, dance and cook just like her father and she got her bossiness from Winona. There were a few of habits that Jamie had also gotten from her father, like only eating popcorn if it had M 's or junior mints in it. Or the thing she does with her bottom lip when focusing on work or how she prefers tea over coffee and how she takes both of them. She even found out that Chris wasn't lying when he told her that he and George had been married for like 2 weeks.

This happened on the night of their high school graduation and went to the courthouse after getting drunk together in a corn field. But they had ended the sham of a marriage right before making the joint decision to join the fleet 2 years later. 1 of the first things Jamie found out was the fact that she shared her love of books and movies from the 21st century just like her father.

"So how is this going to play out? Because this is a bit nerve racking." George asked as they walked down the street to the agreed upon meeting spot as he began to fidget with his hands.

"I have no idea Georgie. Jamie and Sam are very unpredictable when it comes to these type of situations. Last time they decided to play baseball with blow up Klingon heads." Chris said

Chris had seen this happen as Lori and Eleonora had told all 10 kids, 4 Pikes, 4 McCoys and 2 Kirks, about the family history on their uncle Jayden's shady past. Jayden had done some terrible things that landed him a year or 2 sentences in prison a few times. He was actually on a prison planet when Winona died and that was one of the reasons why he never taken in his niece and nephew in. Another reason was his record of serial stalking of high school age girls and had so many restraining orders against him from said girls when they found out.

Jamie had stayed away from her uncle as best she could, but while she was at Ole Miss, he would constantly show up uninvited and Trip had to literally force him out. Most of the time Trip had help from Leonard and Sam as they didn't like Jayden all that much either. And all night the 3 of them would be posted outside just in case Jayden made the stupid decision to drop by for another visit. Trip was very happy when Sybok had started to hang around and to sleep over at the house as he had another person to help keep Jayden out of the house.

And Trip knew from experience on how strong Vulcan's could be when protecting their friends and family from intruders. Once at the meeting place, George's anxiety skyrocketed as this would be the first time he was going to talk with his children without the buffer of a few light years and a computer screen. As the two got closer, they saw that Sam and Jamie were surrounded by the senior staff of Jamie's ship. One of which was Leonard who George hadn't seen since he left on the Kelvin after dropping off Sam at the McCoy house down in Georgia.

George saw that his daughter was leaning into the embrace of 1 of the 2 Vulcan's that were in attendance. The 2 looked like they were so in love that nothing was that good in comparison of their love. George was very happy that his kids were happy in their relationships, but he was saddened over the fact that he had missed so much of their lives as they grew up. During the week Chris had showed George the wedding videos for Sam and Jamie's weddings and he had even showed George the holos from over the years.

"Sam, Jamie?" Chris announced when he got close enough.

The starship captain and scientist looked over to where they heard the voice and saw that their uncle was standing next to their father. The two blondes walked over to Chris and George with the others who were with them sitting on the edge of their seats. Chris knew how protective the senior staff was over Jamie as she had saved their lives on more then one occasion, including but not limited to the Nero incident. But for Leonard, Spock and Sybok, Jamie was family, someone who loved them no matter what.

Due to their telepathic marital bond, like what most Vulcan's have with their spouse, Sybok could feel his wife's rising anxiety as if it were his own anxiety. He tried to calm her through the bond, but it did little to help her as the mir mention of her father in years past had only drove it up. And now the man was standing in front of her like it was no big deal and her anxiety was through the roof. Sybok soon got an idea, he began mentally singing the one Vulcan lullaby that calmed Jamie down enough to actually function like a normal human.

Unknown to Jamie, but to the others around her, she began to hum the lullaby as she heard it from her husband. Most found it funny that Jamie humming was one side effect of her being married to a Vulcan. Everyone began learning the signs of when Sybok was using the bond for the benefit of Jamie's mental health. Like the humming, Jamie moving her lips but no sound coming out or Jamie coming up with a plan that only a Vulcan could come up with.

"Sybok stop singing through the bond, right now." Chris ordered

At that moment Jamie realized that she had been subconsciously humming to what she had heard from her husband. Jamie never realizes that she's humming or moving her lips in some way till someone tells her about it it gets her attention for something else.

"But it helps her stay calm though." Sybok said defensively.

Jamie, Sam and the senior staff, well except for Spock, all began laughing at the expense of the ship's therapist. The senior staff, Sam and Sybok were like this big family that liked to pick on each other whenever they could. Aurelan really liked this interaction between everyone in the group as she always wanted a big family of her own. And when she and Sam accepted the Enterprise job, that's exactly what she got, just with a few more curse words and a lot more alcohol consumption.

"It's not about not wanting her to stay calm, it's just that when you sing to her through the bond or just in your head, she hums the song." Chris said

"Why didn't you guys tell that I hum?" Jamie asked when she turned to everyone there.

"Because it was cute." Sam replied

Everyone had agreed with the Sam's statement about it being cute as everyone, except for Sybok, saw Jamie as a sister. Even Spock who was constantly annoyed in the way Jamie's mind worked in formulating a plan. Though he was constantly reminded, while on missions, that Jamie had come up with the final plan to take down Nero that saved earth, Admiral Pike, the ship and most of the Vulcans that are still alive today. Jamie was proud of herself for that much, but she still blamed herself for not being fast enough to stop the red matter going down to the planet.

Jamie turned back to her uncle and father with a look on her face that Chris couldn't place as he had never seen his niece this worried. Usually Jamie was so confident that the people around her were confident in the knowledge that they had her near them. Pavel always felt better in his math, navigation skills and basically everything else about him because Jamie was there near him encouraging his genius. Jamie had met Pavel on the first day of classes and was constantly protecting him from bullies and helping him if he needed it.

It wasn't that unusual to find Pavel in Jamie's apartment during the academy as his roommate was a jerk who didn't like that he was rooming with a 14 year old. He was also constantly sleeping on the couch and even had extra clothes at there because of this fact. The people surrounding Jamie knew that she was going to be a good mother by how she acts with Pavel or Kevin Reilly. Kevin had come to the academy in Jamie's 2nd year at the academy, even though it was really her 3rd, and like Pavel, was constantly found in Jamie's apartment.

Kevin was 1 of the people who was a bouncer between navigation and engineering as he had little duties in nav and was a big help in engineering. Kevin also knew how protective Jamie could be as Kevin was the youngest of the Tarsus 9, the group of kids who ransacked government buildings looking for food and supplies. The Tarsus 9 hid in the Starfleet outpost building with Hoshi and Trip as Kodos's men had never entered it to sweep it. They thought they didn't need to as the 2 men working there were literally the first ones killed by the enforcers in the town square.

"Hi." George said as he gave a small, awkward wave of his hand.

George didn't know what to do or say as this was a complete unreal situation that he had found himself in. Jamie's heart raced and was trying to pour out of her chest as she looked to her father and finally hearing him speak to her. Sam only told so much about their father while they were growing up, either on the Franklin or on Tarsus or in Georgia. But what he always told her was the fact that his voice had this calming effect on the people around him which was always good for bedtime stories.

"Hi dad." Sam replied

Jamie knew that her brother was nervous almost like she was at seeing George in front of them like this. Though it was a whole lot more nerve racking a week ago when the duo had found out that George was alive again. But ultimately Sam was his father's son and was basically a copy.

"Why don't you three talk somewhere private." Chris suggested

"How is us going anywhere private going to be private? Sybok will just tell everyone everything anyways." Sam said

They all knew that classified information or secrets are not so secret to Sybok if they are told to Jamie at any point in time. It was the same thing the other way around if someone tells Sybok a secret, Jamie automatically knows the secret.

"I hadn't thought of that." Chris said with a heavy sigh.

Chris had forgotten that Sybok usually tells everyone everything if what Jamie is hearing isn't classified and has to keep his mouth shut. Especially when it's something funny that he thinks that everyone needs to know about. The Admiralty didn't like telling Jamie classified information due to the marriage bond that she shared with her husband. But they knew that they would have a easier time if they did tell her that stuff at the beginning, especially if her husband could get into the Vulcan mainframe to get more info.

"I'll get the popcorn." Pavel said

"I'll get the beer." Scotty countered

"I'll get the candy." Nyota said

The 3 then run off to get what they said before coming back only 2 minutes later to see that nothing else had happened. Everyone sitting grabbed a beer and one of the individual popcorn bags that Pavel brought and began watching the Kirk's like they were a movie. Chris just rolled his eyes at the crew's antics as this would have never happened if he were still the captain of the Enterprise. The antics only happened with Jamie as the young blonde liked to live life in the moment, especially after what she went through on tarsus.

"Oh hell. Give me a beer." Jamie said turning to her family.

Scotty handed his captain a beer from the cooler that instantly made drinks go from lukewarm to nice and cold. As Jamie was downing the beer she was handed, she motioned for Scotty to give her another bottle from the cooler. Jamie only drank like this when the brass was breathing down her neck over a mission or a report she let Spock write. The brass was 1 reason why the senior staff fought 2 cases of alcohol each and why those cases were almost gone now.

If the senior staff decided to bring beer on board, they brought like twenty of the biggest cases they could find in stores. And when it came to wine, everyone just brought the stuff to make it as homemade wine became popular in the past two hundred and thirty years. And there is the fact that making wine on starships went all the way back to the NX-01 days. Especially when Phlox had the recipes for wine from different species all over the galaxy.

"J, are you okay?" Nyota asked

"No I'm not. I'm never okay." Jamie said once she finished with her first beer and started on her second.

Before she could rant some more, Jamie took a deep breath before turning back to her uncle and father. She knew that she had to talk with them, but she was dreading it as this felt like being on Delta Vega and meeting Spock Prime again. To calm down some more, Jamie thought of the story Spock Prime told her about his Jim and Leonard. Jamie liked hearing all the crazy stunts they did before Jim Prime and Leonard Prime got sucked into the nexus after test driving a new starship.

"I'm ready to talk." Jamie said

"Are you sure? Or do you need a minute to beat up Spock?" Chris asked

It was Spock's turn to be laughed at even though the Vulcan didn't understand why.

"No I don't. But I'll go after you like when I was in the academy." Jamie said with a smile

Chris was the hand to hand instructor at the academy the few years that Jamie and Bones were there. He was just waiting for the Enterprise to be finished being worked on, though it did last long after Nero showed up. The first thing Chris had asked Jamie after waking up was about if the paint job was scratched or not. Jamie just said that it was more then the paint that needed fixing and called him a loser.

"I'm sorry about this situation." George said

George felt a little guilty as he was doing the impossible by being alive right now when he was killed by Nero.

"Oh, dad. It's not your fault. It's this damn universe that is to blame here." Jamie said

"It might actually be those damn Romulans who are at fault and not you." Sam said

When the Enterprise had gotten back after the mission over Vulcan, Sam was told about what happed with Nero. Especially when his sister had to take command of the Enterprise after their uncle walked onto the enemy ship with no back up.

"Like hell it's the Romulans! No good buggers." Scotty said

"Scotty's right. The Romulans don't have the technology to do something like this." Jamie said

"How can you be so sure?" Sam asked

"Because when I went on Nero's ship to get Chris, I got a look at their computers. And what I saw nothing like what would be use to take dad from the bridge of the Kelvin just before he died just so they could put him into a cryo tube. Hell, they don't even have the tech to do time travel. Nero did a time traveling universe jump because of a fluke made by Selek." Jamie said

George was the only one shocked as the other were used to the crazy BullShit that came out of Jamie's mouth from time to time. Especially Scotty as he was the one to encourage Jamie to come up with things and learn new techniques.

"Who is Selek?" George asked

That's when everything went silent in the group as they all looked to the eldest Kirk like he had grown a second head.

"Oh, that's right, you don't know." Sybok said

"Selek is just an alias for Spock from a different universe. This Spock went through a black hole and ended up here. Just like with the ship that killed you initially." Jamie said

Jamie knew the most information about Spock prime as she was the one who spent the most time talking with him.

"So you're saying that I was killed by people from a different universe?" George asked

"We call that universe the Prime timeline or Prime universe." Nyota said

"What's this universe called?" George asked

Everything fell silent as no one wanted to tell George that his death was the reason for this universes name.

"Is anyone going to tell me?" George asked

"This universe is called the Kelvin universe." Sam said like he was not sure and forced at the same time
