Chapter 42 – 'Eye' see you
D345/10 ABY
Alarms were ringing. The Lothal Defence Corps had mobilized all fighters, when their scanners reported a massive moon like object nearing the planet. Everyone had feared the worst, especially the few Alderaanian survivors who had been on Lothal. Within the white city, Governor Azadi sat in his office seeing the transmission. Sweat rolled off the side of his head, and fear gripped his heart as he saw the massive object near the planet. As worried citizens gazed skyward, they saw a very disturbing figure.
"Is that an eye?", Ryder Azadi asked out loud.
"It looks like a disembodied eye sir", his assistant answered uncertainly.
"Any response from New Coruscant?", an advisor asked. The assistant shook her head.
"Contact the Ghost Crew. This is a planetary emergency", Governor Azadi declared.
Outside the planet, within the orbit of the planet's moon the massive eye gazed with interest. It's optic nerve whipped behind it as the eye changed its line of sight. Once it was sealed away by its owner, and now those same enchantments no longer held place.
At the same time in Asgard's citadel, King Thor stood watching a massive stellar map that showed many galaxies. Behind him stood Heimdall and two seraphims were on either side of the map. They were looking at a fast-moving silver streak.
"Allfather, all the evidence points towards a world in Midgard", one the Seraphim – Jaffe spoke. He was a turtle man, and his angel wings were the same colour as his shell.
"Which world is it?", Thor asked.
"It is unclear, sire", spoke the second seraphim, a human named Abathur spoke.
"If that glowing streak is coming towards Midgard, I fear the one that follows", Thor spoke.
"Someone has gone through painstaking measures in order to lift that seal", spoke Heimdall.
"What seal is that Heimdall?", Jaffe inquired.
"A being that was locked away, someone who is older than our universe", Thor said ominously, "I want the outer guards to intercept this streak and determine its destination."
Onboard the Ghost, Hera and Chopper were making repairs. "Chop…we would go through this much faster if you stopped complaining about everything", Hera groaned. Chopper still grumbled as Kanan, and Jacen entered the cockpit.
"How is my favourite person and the rude droid doing?", he asked.
"Not well", Hera answered as Chopper tried to zap him.
A moment later Hera came up and Jacen asked, "Why doesn't Grandpa spend time with us anymore?"
"Well, he is the King of Asgard and pretty much the leader of the other 7 galaxies. He just has a lot to do.", Hera answered.
"Still, it has been atleast a week since we last saw him. Remember that?", Kanan asked.
"Oh yes…you know that was the first time I saw him angry, and our training that day was really harsh. Maybe he's just cooling off."
"No. Something is going on, something he can't share with us", as Kanan said that there was a beeping sound in the cockpit. Chopper beeped that they were receiving a message.
Hera asked him to pull up the transmission and moments later they saw Governor Azadi's message, "There is a massive unidentified object orbiting Lothal. We launched our fighters to fend off this threat, but they have been destroyed. We can't get any response from the New Republic. We need immediate help. This object looks like an eye, and I am afraid it might be another death star. You are our only hope."
"A massive eye!?", Jacen asked.
"Call Zeb back to the ship", Kanan told Chopper, "Where are the others?", he asked Hera.
"I don't know where Tarre and Ahsoka are, but the rest are with Fenrir."
"Then let's go."
"We have to inform my father first."
"Chop can leave him a message. We have to go as soon Zeb gets onboard."
"I'm here, what's the problem?", Zeb entered the cockpit. Behind him were Ava, Jesse, and Hulk. Ava and Jesse were avoiding each other's gaze though. As Kanan told them what was going on, Hera exited the planet and plotted their course towards Midgard.
On Midgard, inside the abandoned and decommissioned Fortress Inquisitorius on the moon Nur. Here were Fenrir, Sabine, and Ezra. Now one might wonder as to why they were here. The answer is simply – the mysterious ways of God and the Force.
On the Starbird orbiting the moon was Satine Kryze, her daughter Erin, Mira, and the ice lothwolf Sira. She had grown a bit since coming back from Eurazania and looked a little like a girl version of Fenrir. She had Erin (in her wolf form) were playing tag. Erin had lost more than she had won. Mira was referring the two, making sure they didn't play rough while Satine watched over the three.
As she was sitting, she heard a voice, "Satine…this is Obi Wan. I need to urgently speak with you."
"Obi?", Satine whispered.
"Yes Duchess. I do not much time, it is difficult maintaining a connection with you without Aesir aid."
"I'm listening."
"You must tell Prince Fenrir, that there will be no other. The one called the Aesir call 'Puppet Master' has already sown the seeds of war in the Vanir and Nidvaller."
"What do you mean sow the seeds of war?"
"I don't have all the answers Satine. Even through the veil, the future is clouded us Jedi spirits. What we know for sure is that he must not become the Beast King."
"Obi…what are you saying? There hasn't been a beast king for millions of years", Satine whispered.
"You are right. The peace made by the Beast Lords will be fractured by the Beast King. The war will start first in Midgard and from there it will spread throughout the nine realms."
"Obi, I don't understand. What is-", Satine was interrupted and her connection with Obi Wan lost, when she heard the onboard communications beeping. Answering it she saw Kanan.
"Kanan, what is it?"
"We need you all to come to Lothal. We received a worrisome message from Governor Azadi. He believes there is a death star orbiting Lothal."
"Fenrir, Ezra, and Sabine are currently on Nur. I will contact them and see if we can reach Lothal quickly."
