Requested by JBlaser Mirabel and Isabela from Encanto have been arguing for hours , this made their mother Julieta annoyed and tells the 2 girls make peace and do sister bonding activities or their grounded for life , Mirabel and Isabela complained at first but they eventually gave in , each sister picked an activity to do together
Mirabels choice ( have a picnic on the grassy fields , Isabela tries to make flowers to look more nice , however that attracts a lot of bees , chaos happens as Isabela runs from the bees and Mirabel tries to help swat them away with a bred stick but keeps hiting Isabela more than the bees , the food was ruined , Isabela had bee stings and bruises and Mirabel was really tired )
Isabelas choice ( Isabela takes Mirabel to her room , she plans to give Mirabel a full makeover , Mirabel tries to run but Isabela uses her plant powers to catch her then proceeds with the makeover and Mirabel ends up looking exactly like Isabela , same dress, hairstyle , jewelry and makeup , Mirabel is not appy about her new look , while Isabela tells her she looks almost as beautiful as her )
At the end they both argued again in the middle of the town , some time later they both hear catchy music which both like it so much they started dancing , the crowd gathered to watch them , so both sisters spiced it up ,Mirabel started playing the accordion and Isabel made flower showers , this made the 2 sister make up and they continued dancing

Julieta frowned as she heard the shouting coming from upstairs as she entered Casita. She sighed, turning to her sobrina who was eyeing the upstairs balcony with disgust, "What are they fighting about this time?" she asked, dragging her hand across her face. Why couldn't her oldest and youngest just give the silent treatment to each other like she and her siblings did when they were younger?

"They've been arguing for the past two hours because they accidentally ran into each other on the stairs," Dolores said dryly, "But don't worry, they haven't got physical…." she trailed off as there was a loud crashing sound upstairs, "Never mind, didn't think Mirabel would be strong enough to throw one of those potted plants. At least Isabela was able to dodge it that would have left a mark."

Julieta groaned, glancing at her nineteen-year-old niece before glancing up at the balcony, "Mirabel! Isabela! Get down here this second!"

Both girls came running down the stairs with a, "She started it."

"I don't care who started it," Julieta announced, "I'm ending it," she insisted, "You two are grounded. From now until Monday morning you two will do everything together. You'll sleep together, eat together, and do everything together."

"What, Mama, I have a date tonight," Isabela cried out.

"Either cancel it, or take Mirabel with you, and if either of you uses Camilo to transform into you so that you can get out of the punishment, I will take my hairbrush to your behind. Don't think that I won't find out. And every time you fight, I'll add a day. I'm sure that neither one of you want to go to school together on Monday, do you?"

"No," Isabela and Mirabel agreed.

"Good," Julieta said, "Dolores will keep an ear out for you and let me know if you are fighting or separating. I'll check in on you later."

Isabela watched as her mother left the courtyard and enter the kitchen before turning to her thirteen-year-old sister, "You ruined everything," she snarled.

"As if I want to spend the entire weekend with you," Mirabel growled back.

Isabela spun on her heels, "Dolores, do you know where Abuela is, she won't allow this."

"She's in town square," Dolores said, "but there's no guarantee that she'll undo Tia's grounding."

"We'll see about that," Isabela muttered, stomping out of the house, Mirabel grimaced before racing after her.

"Isabela, wait! I don't want to get into more trouble," she shouted.

Alma Madrigal was busy talking to some men about possibly building another bridge, just seeing if it was even possible when Isabela and Mirabel appeared. What was Mirabel even doing with Isabela? She better not be distracting her!

"Excuse me, Senors," Isabela said politely, like the proper young lady that she was, "Abuela, when you get a moment, I must talk to you about something of outmost importance," she insisted.

Alma nodded her head, "Alright Isabela, I'll be with you in ten minutes, let me just finish up here."

Isabela sighed in relief, Abuela would never allow this punishment to stand! She'll finally be able to go on that date Abuela set up for her, and make the family proud and Mirabel would be able to go off and do whatever it is that she does to feel up her day when she wasn't getting underfoot.

Alma finally finished up her conversation, and turned to Isabela and Mirabel, "Mirabel, why are you bothering your sister, you should head home, perhaps you can help your tio and father with the cleaning."

"I can't," Mirabel said simply, "Mama told Isa and I that we have to spend the entire weekend together, if I'm not with her at all times, she'll make Isabela go to school with me on Monday."

"The punishment is totally unfair, Abuela," Isabela insisted, "You need to talk to Mama about it. I would hate to have to miss my date with Mariano because of it. Besides, it was Mirabel's fault, she was in my way."

Alma sighed, "Of course, she was," she said, "Mirabel how many times have I told you to stay out from underfoot? Go to the nursery and stay there until I have time to deal with you. This getting your sister into trouble with your madre is totally unacceptable."

"But she's the one that walked into me!" Mirabel insisted.

"I don't want any of your excuses, go to the nursery now!" Abuela snapped, pointing in the direction of Casita.

Isabela smirked, "See I told you that Abuela would end the punishment."

"Mama I can't believe that you just undid my punishment and sent Mirabel to the nursery without talking to me or getting the whole story."

"Isabela told me…"

"What she needed to tell you to get you on her side," Julieta snapped, "I am their mother, it is up to me to discipline them, not you. I will have to add another day to their punishment because of your interference."

"Come on Julieta, I dealt with the problem, Mirabel was underfoot, she isn't anymore, what more do you need."

"That's not why they are being punished," Julieta insisted, "I punished them because they were fighting. I'm about ready to nip this relationship with Mariano in the bud for her. She's obviously not ready to be in any sort of relationship if she can't even get along with her own sister."

"And your solution is making them spend the weekend together?" Alma asked, "I don't see how that will help."

"Believe it or not, they use to be very close when they were little," Julieta said, "I was hoping that if I could just get them to spend time together, they might remember that they use to be friends."

Alma sighed, shaking her head slightly, "If you insist that they have to be punished, perhaps they can do something together without fighting, we can lessen the punishment?"

Julieta sighed, silently praying for patience, before nodding her head.

"I can't believe Mama and Abuela are making us do this," Isabela grumbled as she hiked up the hill after Mirabel.

"Well, you're the one that didn't like Mama's punishment and got Abuela involved," Mirabel pointed out, carrying the basket.

"I thought she'd get me out of the punishment, not change it."

"Well, she did shorten it," Mirabel insisted, "As soon as we can prove that we can do an activity together without fighting the punishment will be over with. However, the punishment will continue as long as we keep fighting, so this can either shorten the punishment or lengthen it. Probably going to lengthen it, knowing us."

"Let's just get this over with," Isabela insisted, as they finally made their way to the grassy field, and spread the blanket out, "They probably have Dolores spying on us."
"True," Mirabel said, pulling food out of the basket she had been packing, "Let's just forget about the fact that this is a punishment and try to enjoy the picnic."

"Why did you even get to choose what we got to do anyway," Isabela demanded.

"I'm Mama's favorite," Mirabel said with a smirk, "And I'm the younger sister, so there."

"Why couldn't I have gotten stuck with Luisa for the day?" Isabela groaned as she plopped down on the ground, waving her hands over the grass, growing several flowers around them.

"You're going to attract bees with those," Mirabel pointed out.

"Just leave them alone," Isabela insisted, "And let's get this over with."

They had just finished setting out the food and making themselves sandwiches when the first flying menace arrived, buzzing annoyingly in Isabela's ear, "Stupid fly," she muttered, swatting at it, "Ouch, it actually bit me."

"Well, duh, that was a hornet," Mirabel said, "You aren't allergic to them are you? Pa is."

"No, of course not, I'm not allergic to anything," Isabela insisted, rubbing her hand where the sting was, "Please tell me that Mama cooked the food."

"No, what I didn't make, I bought, Abuela doesn't like me asking Mama for food that much, so… yeah…"

"Ugg, I'm going back to Casita to get something to eat," Isabela insisted, standing up, "I can't believe you didn't pack any of Mama's food."

"I'm sorry," Mirabel snapped, "Like I said, Abuela doesn't like me taking Mama's food for my personal use."

"Stop blaming your mistakes on Abuela," Isabela snapped, "This was a stupid idea anyway."

Isabela stood up and started to walk back towards Casita, only to stop with a scream as a swarm of hornets suddenly flew up, stinging her.

"Hey," Mirabel shouted, grabbing a loaf of bread and swinging it around, "Get away from Isabela!"

"Ouch," Isabela exclaimed, as Mirabel wracked her with the loaf, "Mira that isn't helping."

The rest of the family was finishing up lunch when Dolores suddenly let out a squeak of alarm, "They're fighting again," she announced.

"What?" Julieta demanded, "Why?"

"There are hornets, and Mirabel's trying to get rid of them which is really just making them madder, and they're biting Isabela."

With that Isabela came storming into the room, "You are a nuisance, Mirabel Madrigal," she announced, as she snatched an arepa from the table and headed upstairs.

"I was just trying to help," Mirabel insisted, pausing to look at her mother, "I was just trying to help," she repeated.

"Go up to Isabela's room and check on her," Julieta insisted, "You still haven't made it through an activity without fighting, so you'll just have to come up with something new."

Isabela glared as Mirabel entered her room, "What do you want?"

"Mama told me that because the hornets interrupted the picnic, we have to do something else together without fighting."

"Ugg, this is all your fault," Isabela insisted.

"You were the one that grew the flowers that attracted the hornets."

"You're the one that got them mad," Isabela argued, "and didn't pack any of Mama's food."

"Arguing isn't doing anything but getting us in trouble," Mirabel insisted, "Come on there has to be something that we can do so that you can go on your date with Mariano," she paused for a second, "Why are you even going on a date with him, I thought you told Dolores that he was an airhead?"

"You're too young," Isabela insisted, "You wouldn't understand," she said softly, no, Mirabel wouldn't ever understand the sacrifices that she had to make the family proud and to earn the miracle that gave her her gift.

"Oh, okay," Mirabel muttered, "We still have to do something together before you can go on the date."

"I know what we can do," Isabela insisted, "I can give you a makeover!"

Mirabel paled noticing the grin on Isabela's face, "You know what, I think I'll pass," she said, slipping toward the door, only to be snagged by a vine and dragged backward.

"We are doing this rather you like it or not," Isabela insisted.

Mirabel scowled as she glared at herself in the mirror, her ringlets which she took great pride in tending to had been straightened completely, her makeup was done and she was wearing one of Isabela's old dresses. She looked like some pudgy, glasses-wearing, smaller Isabela.

"You look almost as good as I do," Isabela insisted, "Now if only the dress wasn't so tight on you, you should try going on a diet," she trailed off, "and, it really is too bad that you have to hide your beautiful eyes behind those glasses of yours. Maybe you should try taking them off?"

"I won't be able to see anything without them," Mirabel insisted.

"That really is such a shame," Isabela insisted, "Come on, let's show Mama that we were able to do something together without fighting."

"Fine," Mirabel muttered, "If it means the end of having to spend time together, I'll do it."

"Mama's probably in Town Square," Isabela announced.

"Fine, but I'm changing before anyone sees me," Mirabel insisted, rolling her eyes as she gathered her own clothes up and headed to Isabela's bathroom, where she quickly changed.

"Mama," Isabela announced, racing up to her mother's stand with Mirabel following her, "We did, we did an entire activity together without fighting."

Julieta looked up at her two daughters and shook her head, "That's because you refused to listen to Mirabel and used your gift to make her do what you wanted," she announced, "Sorry girls, it doesn't count, you need to both enjoy the activity."

"Ugg," Isabela exclaimed, "I have a date in an hour, I don't have time for this."

"If you want, I'll be more than happy to tell Mariano that you are grounded and unable to make your date."

"No, Mama, please, don't, he'd think I'm a little kid."

"You are four years younger than him," Julieta pointed out, "and you are acting like a little kid fighting with her sister. You can either tell him that you can't make the date, or you can take Mirabel on the date too."
"Eww," Mirabel said, "Gross, I don't want to see that."

"I'll talk to Mariano," Isabela said with a sigh, rolling her eyes as she grabbed Mirabel's arm and dragged her away.

As soon as they were away from their mother's stand, Isabela dropped Mirabel's arm, "You ruined everything," she hissed, "If you had just let me give you a makeover then we could be done with this punishment and I could go on my date without you."

"I'm not happy about this either," Mirabel muttered, before glancing longingly to some musicians that were starting to set up for the Weekend Dance. She had been looking forward to it, "I wanted to go to the dance tonight, some of the girls from school invited me, and if I don't show up they'll think I'm a total loser. I'm already an outcast because I'm the only Madrigal without a gift."

Isabela frowned, looking at Mirabel, "You wanted to go to the dance?"

Mirabel nodded miserably, "The others are going to call me a baby again."

"Mariano and I are going to the dance," Isabela said softly, "I can tell Mariano that you wanted to go to the dance but Mama didn't want you going alone."

"We might even be able to count it as a sisterly bonding activity," Mirabel pointed out, jumping up and down slightly from excitement.

Isabela rolled her eyes, "Let's go talk to Mariano, okay."

Mariano smiled slightly as Isabela explained the situation, "Mirabel tagging along won't be a problem," he insisted, "It's really sweet of you to volunteer to take your sister to the dance."

Isabela nodded, "Thank you for understanding Mariano," she said, "I'm sure that Mirabel won't be any trouble. Will you?" she asked, glancing at her sister with a secret glare.

"No problem at all," Mirabel insisted.

The dance was loud and the square crowded with several members of the community. Mirabel was sure that she saw her Tia and Tio in the crowd, not that she was surprised, Tia and Tio loved dances, and always try to make the town dance. However, she did not see any of her friends from school in the crowd.

"They aren't here," she announced softly, her head dropping sadly as she noticed that. She should have known that this would happen. Why would anyone want to hang out with the Giftless Madrigal?

"Maybe they are running a little late," Mariano offered, "The dance just started and it will go on until really late tonight."

"Yeah, maybe," Mirabel muttered, swiping angrily at her eyes, "You're probably right."

"Come on," Isabela said brightly, if she showed that she was a good sister to Mariano, then he would like her, and if he liked her, that would make Abuela happy, "I know for a fact that you like this song because you're always playing it on your accordion."

"I know, but I don't want to dance alone," Mirabel muttered.

"You won't," Isabela insisted, grabbing her arm, "Come on," she said, she didn't like seeing her sister crying, it always reminds her of her younger sister's failed ceremony, as she stood there in front of where her door had been a minute earlier crying as all of the parents tried to push everyone out of Casita.

The sisters danced to the music, Isabela using her powers to send showers of flowers to everyone, while Mirabel grabbed a spare accordion and started to play along as well. Neither of them noticed that everyone was watching them, no one else was dancing as they watched the two of them twirl around energetically to the music. Finally, the song ended and the two sisters slumped down on some chairs that Luisa no doubt had set up around the edge of the square.

"That was amazing," Mirabel said with a giggle, "Why don't we do stuff like that anymore?"

"I guess I've just been busy," Isabela said with a sigh, "I should try harder to make more time for you and Luisa."

Mariano handed them both some punch as several girls Mirabel's age ran up to them.

"Mirabel, that was awesome," they all exclaimed, each one of them talking over each other as they apologized for being late, and how amazing her dance with Isabela had been.

Mirabel quickly recovered and raced off with her friends as Mariano and Isabela joined in on a slow dance. Isabela almost wished that she was here with Mirabel and her friends then with Mariano. He was nice and all, but she didn't really care for slow dances, and it quickly became clear that they had nothing in common.

Finally, at long last, the church bells rung the hour, announcing that it was nine o'clock, they'd been there for over two hours now, "I should go find Mirabel," Isabela said, cutting off Mariano as he droned on and on about his poetry, honestly, she should set him up with Dolores, she'd appreciate him, "It's almost her curfew and I promised Mama that I'll make sure that I'll get her home on time."

"I'll come with you," Mariano offered, "Once we get her home we can go on a moonlit stroll."

Why would you want to do that? Isabela wanted to demand, but she bit her lip, she didn't want to be rude. She'd finish the date and tell Abuela that things weren't going to work out with Mariano as she had hoped. Hopefully, she wouldn't take the news too badly.

"That would be lovely," she said instead, "Now to find Mirabel."

Mirabel was chatting with her friends in a quieter corner when Isabela arrived, "Hey, sis, we better get you home before curfew."

Mirabel felt her face redden at the mention of a curfew, but to her surprise, several of her friends suddenly spoke up, "Actually I have to head home too."

Mirabel said goodbye to her friends and hurried away.

Julieta was waiting for them just outside of Casita, "Did you have fun at the dance?" she asked with a large smile.

Mirabel nodded enthusiastically, "Yeah, it was fun."

"That's great," Julieta said, "Thank you for taking her with you," she added to Isabela, "I know that you didn't really want to, so why don't you and Mariano go back to the dance, just be home by midnight."

Isabela smiled, at least she knew that she was ungrounded now, "Okay Mama," she said, turning around to leave with Mariano again, this was going to be the longest three hours of her life.
