AN: So to those who were expecting a new chapter with this I would like to apologize, hopefully though this will do. Before getting into the chapter let me explain what I'm doing here, and more importantly why I'm doing it. So the first posted chapter was kinda sort written in about three hours in the middle of the night, and looking back on it I feel that there is room for improvement with that cha[ter before I continue, both in the content of the chapter and prose of the chapter. Furthermore there were bits of the chapter that I wanted to include but, at the moment, couldn't justify or find a way to. Additionally I realized Zeus mentioned he had a place prepared for Hestia, but forgot to mention where that place was, although honestly at this point I kinda like it and plan to roll with it for reasons you should hopefully soon see. Anyways, I will be answering questions from comments at the end of chapters from this point forward, so without further ado, let the chapter begin.

Zeus Pov:

It had been about a week since our exile from the city of Orario, and while camping a little ways outside the city wasn't ideal, there wasn't anything the Guild, Loki, or Freya could do about it as I wasn't technically breaking the rules. That is assuming of course, they actually discover what I'm doing here, something I have no intentions of letting happen, especially given whoi have with me. My one and only baby 'grandson', Bell Cranel. Originally the plan was for the two of us to set off for some moderately remote village, where I would raise Bell. But recently a very reliable source told me that a certain older sister of mine had descended much earlier than expected, and after talking about it with Hera, we had both agreed that she would be a far better fit to raise Bell than either of us would be. Hence, me waiting outside the city. I had honestly expected her to be here already. And as much as I was tempted to set off and carry through with the original plan, I knew deep down (with the wisdom only an eternity could provide), that leaving Bell in the care of his eldest sister, Hestia, was the best choice for all of them. Afterall, the livelihood of my only grandson was at stake, I can't afford to half-ass it when it comes to making sure Bell is taken care of. And with that thought I settled myself down for the night after making sure Bell was taken care of.

"Shhh child, we don't want to wake him yet, now do we?"

A voice? Was I dreaming…? No. I'm definitely awake. So someone was with Bell then, good, that means I can keep sleeping….

Wait… that means….

SOMEONE WAS IN THE CAMP WITH BELL! CRAP! I'VE BEEN CAUGHT!

With a sudden surge of Adrenaline at the thought of Bell being in danger I bolted up to find Hestia taking care of Bell. Slumping back I breathed a sigh of relief, it was only Hestia. Exactly who I'd been waiting for this entire time. That means, it was finally time for him to part ways with Bell. Hestia, taking notice of Zeus' sudden panic and then relief, addressed him.

"Hello Zeus, have a nightmare? You seemed quite disturbed as you woke up. Speaking of which, what's with you sleeping out here?" She continued on chastising him as she went, "It's not good for you to sleep in the elements when you have a place you could stay at, and with a baby in your care no less! Show a little more concern for your well being, if not for yours at least for this young boy's. Honestly, what am I going to do with you?" She sighed, seeming to finally be finished. While most might have thought of this as Hestia being overbearing, or occasionally rude. I knew deep down it was because she was just concerned for me and more importantly Bell's well being, a child whom she had never met before. She was still the same old Hestia she had always been, and that's exactly why I know she'll do a better job at raising him than me or Hera ever could.

Finally, I sat back up again and responded to her. "Yeah, sorry you startled me. I was shocked to find you in my camp taking care of him."

"Honestly, what are you doing out here anyways. And with a baby no less."

"Actually, I was waiting for you."

"For me? What could you possibly need from me that's worth waiting out here for? I just got to the lower world."

"That's exactly why I need your help, or at least part of the reason, you just got here. No one has their eyes on you, making you the perfect candidate."

"Candidate for what Zeus?" A harsh tone creeping into her voice.

"To take care of him." I responded, pointing to the baby Bell she held in her arms. "You see–"

"I'll do it, he doesn't have anyone else to take care of him anymore does he?"

I just nodded.

"So I'll do it." She declared, and at that moment I knew nothing would change her mind. Come hell or high water I knew she would take care of the boy. Although, while I knew she would agree to take care of Bell, I hadn't expected her to agree so quickly without any questions. So I asked her, "Don't you want to know why? Don't you care about my reasons?"

She seemed to ponder this for a moment before finally responding, "Not really. I've known you long enough to know you have your reasons for wanting me to take care of him. Other than that, he's alone, and I am the goddess of Hearth and Home afterall. I can't very well abandon a child in front of me who needs a home. So no, I don't need to know anything."

I sighed in relief, all the more reassured in our choice to leave Bell in Hestia's care. I started to pack up my stuff and leave before turning to address Hestia one final time before departing. "I can't thank you enough for agreeing to take care of him. Me and Hera set up a place for you to raise the boy in the city. We have supplies to take care of him there, clothes, blankets and the like. I wrote some books for you to read to him as he grows up, and I do hope you'll read them. I am quite proud of them if I do say so myself!"

And with that I headed off.

"Wait!" I heard Hestia shouting at me as I departed. "The boy, you forgot to tell me his name."

Ah, yes I suppose I did forget to mention that. "His name is Bell. Bell Cranel."

AN: Bit of a cheeky way to end the remake of the first chapter. Yes. Do I regret it? No. Anyways, I hope the remake does not disappoint, I have to say I feel much more confident in continuing the story altogether (and in this chapter in general) now that I've rewritten it and changed the style of writing. Anyhows, on to questions.

alex882: I agree, I would like to do longer chapters going forward, and I hope to do so. Now, concerning Alfia and Zard, quite simply I'm not entirely sure yet. While originally, as you might be able to tell, I had planned on having them know Hestia was taking care of Bell, I don't plan on doing that anymore. While nothing is definite yet, I think I am going to have them die like in canon.

haziqaffari2: I won't be answering this question for the simple reason of I plan to start addressing that much in the next chapter. Simply put I don't want to tip my hand to you the readers too much yet, eh? So I apologize for not answering the question here, though I do hope you enjoy finding that out in the next chapter!
