Thanksgiving in Zahramay Falls:

NOTE: Shimmer and Shine's mother, Raba Aljunni, owned by BigMoose01, appears in this story.

This story is another collaboration with a friend.

It was the morning of November 27, 2020, Thanksgiving Day, in the genie world of Zahramay Falls. Everyone was going to the Marketplace, while the Thanksgiving celebration would be taking place. Shimmer and Shine's mother, Raba, was assisting other genies with cooking the food for the feast. Leah, Zac, Marlin, and his family got up early, so they would spend Thanksgiving with their magical friends. (and relative)

Shimmer: Wow, it's a glitter-tastic day!

Shine: (with a sly smile) You mean feast day?

Leah: (chuckles) Thanksgiving isn't just about the food, Shine.

Calady: Yes. It's also about being with families.

Zeta: (holding Morain) And football.

Zac: And... the parade!

Marlin: Yeah, we love watching the parade.

Mary: Do you have a crystal ball so we could watch it?

Shine: (laughs) Yes. The marketplace has a big crystal ball out here for those important events.

The gang, and every other genie in Zahramay Falls were watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on the Marketplace's big crystal ball. They saw Times Square in New York City, where there was snow. They were excited to see a Spongebob balloon there. They saw many other kinds of balloon floats as well, like Garfield, Peanuts, (Snoopy) Power Rangers, Paddington Bear, etc. Plus, they saw some performers play their music on some of those floats. The Marching Band was playing. The hosts of the parade were interviewing entertainers and people who came to watch the parade. On a commercial...

William: Whoa, you use big crystal balls here to watch shows?

Samira: (coming by) Yes, so every genie coming to the Marketplace would be able to watch them.

Kaz: Seeing the parade is the most fun thing to do on this holiday.

Zac: I also like watching the dog show after the parade.

Leah: Should we have Rocket come here to watch it with us?

Shimmer: I think Tala, Nahal, and Parisa, and Zain would like that.

The genies, Zeta, and Leah looked at their pets and Nazboo.

Zeta: Yeah, I think Nazboo would be happy, too.

Zac: (happily) Kaz, I wish my dog Rocket was here right now!

Kaz: Boom Zahramay, first wish of the day, with some flash and pizzazz by Kaz!

With a poof, Rocket appeared, and happily went to his owner. Zac petted him, and then the parade came back on.

On the parade, everyone saw that there were some cars coming out, with traffic on the streets. At the end of the parade, they saw Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus come riding in a big sled to start the holiday (Christmas) season.

Shine: He have to do this day first before we start celebrating Christmas!

Caliana: (smiles) Yes, Shine. Especially since a competition you might like is starting right now.

Shine turned to the crystal ball, and her eyes lit up when the National Dog Show was starting. Everyone saw the many breeds of dogs with their owners, doing different tricks, getting great scores by the judges for their efforts.

After the awards ceremony, the dog show was over. Shine had an idea...

Shine: Let's give our pets a good grooming and bath!

Tala, Nahal, and Parisa heard this. While Tala and Parisa didn't mind, Nahal didn't want a bath, and quickly ran away, into the Marketplace...

Shine: Nahal, come back here! (runs after her)

Shimmer: (to the others) Let's go!

Leah, Zac, Marlin, Calady, William, Mary, Zeta, (pushing Morain in a stroller) and Nazboo followed the two genies into the Marketplace to find Nahal. When they ran a short distance, they saw Misha, the animal genie, holding Nahal...

Misha: (with a smile) Did someone lose a tiger cub?

Shimmer/Shine: Misha!

Shine: (takes back Nahal from Misha) Yeah, this tiger just doesn't want a good grooming.

Misha: I can help with that.

Leah: Really?

Misha: Of course. Let me fix these pets up!

Zac: Wait! I think my dog Rocket should be included in this.

Mary: That's a wonderful idea, Zac.

Zeta: You might want to include Nazboo with them.

Calady: Yeah, he would want a grooming from Misha.

Nazboo happily said, 'Groom, groom!'

Misha had to laugh, and then replied, 'Okay, let's give all your pets a good grooming.'

The animal genie used her magic to give all of the magical humanoid and human's pets a clean shower, a spraying, (to prevent them getting ticks and fleas) and a good grooming. All the pets (with the exception of Nahal) loved getting

their clean and sparkly coats. Misha had managed to get all of them cleaned...

William: Misha, is have to say... that's impressive.

Misha: It comes with being an expert on animals.

Leah: I have a special treat for all of our pets. (turns to Shimmer and Shine) I wish for some steaks, and a big bacon and cheese cake for all our pets to enjoy!

Shine: Boom Zahramay! First wish of the day! Shimmer and Shine, wish granted, divine!

Shine used her magic, and had lots of steaks, and a big bacon and cheese cake appear at the marketplace, which the pets ate and enjoyed together. After that, everyone cuddled their pets for a while, and then, a football game appeared on the crystal ball. Zeta had a gold piece of paper ($100), in which she bet on her favorite team. The gang were all watching the game while dinner was being prepared. Raba brought over some lobster rice salad for them to sample. When dinner was ready, the football game was still going on. There was a huge feast of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, candied yams. green beans, corn, cranberry sauce, many apple and pumpkin pies, and apple cider. Everyone at the Marketplace sat down at the biggest table. Led by Empress Caliana, they all said a prayer before they ate and drank as much as they could...

Shine: Wow, that was so much food!

Shimmer: Yeah, I'm really stuffed!

Zeta: Morain really enjoyed some of the food I fed him.

Zac: That was so good!

William: Well, now we can watch the rest of the game.

Everyone agreed. They finished watching the game on the big crystal ball. After the game was over, Zeta's team won, and she got another gold piece of paper. Afterwards, they all flew back on magic carpets, and their flying animals to Shimmer and Shine palace to spend the night.

They all had a conversation before going to bed...

Leah: This sure was a great Thanksgiving, was it?

Zeta: It sure was! I got another gold paper because my favorite team won!

Kaz: And we got to eat a whole buffet-filled Thanksgiving meal! (Shine nods in agreement)

Shimmer: Yeah, but the best part of Thanksgiving is being with your family and friends.

Calady: Shimmer's right. That's really the best part of a great holiday.

The magical humanoids and humans hugged each other warmly. Then they took showers, (with Zeta helping Morain with his bath) and went to bed. Everyone had a great Thanksgiving that day.
