AN: I didn't get many reviews in my last chapter so I'm assuming people were a bit bored by it or found it mediocre, I am confident though that this chapter will prove to be more enjoyable, also I am so happy to say I am close to 70 followers on this story!
Thank you all to the people who did review, especially Ivanioch.
Enjoy and please leave me feedback :)
"Area 11 is yours, your highness." Kallen proclaimed as the entirety of her guard knelt.
Princess Cornelia was a captivating woman, Kallen admired her in so many ways. She was tall, strong, beautiful, elegant, fierce and charismatic. No wonder her Guilford follows her so loyally. When Kallen was younger Cornelia had been her idol: a young teenage warrior who ravaged the battlefield, earning the respect of not just her allies but her enemies as well. Ruthless, efficient, a Goddess of War.
"You may all rise." the princess declared. When Kallen rose she was warmly greeted BY a strong hug from Cornelia.
"Hug me back damn it." she demanded of Kallen. The acting viceroy could not help but smile as she hugged the princess back with force. "It has been too long since I last saw you, dove."
Dove was what Cornelia called her when Kallen began her military service: you are too sweet and innocent, Cornelia chided the young Kallen, you are no warrior, only a Dove. For a year Kallen served under Cornelia and Kallen proved herself a fierce warrior, but the nickname of Dove never went away. Kallen did not mind it, it reminded her of sweeter, more innocent times.
I began my service under Cornelia as a girl. Kallen still remembered the first time she killed someone, she had only been thirteen. And I became a woman when I was done.
"Your highness, I must apologize, I could not defend your brother from his assassin." Kallen said as she looked to the floor ashamed. She had no love for Clovis, but she knew the princess did.
"You failed all of us when you let him die." Cornelia said harshly. "You will atone by helping me catch this Zero." she spat out the terrorists name with venom.
"You will be taking over as viceroy then?" Kallen asked.
At this the princess shook her head. "Nay, I do not plan to stay in Area 11 for long. I will take the position as sub-viceroy and remain so until we have crushed Zero and avenged my brother."
Kallen's brows furrowed. She did not know whether to be happy or disappointed. Kallen had expected Cornelia to take over as viceroy but it seemed the princess had much respect for Kallen. Even though I let his brother die. "How will the chain of command work then?" Kallen asked. "You are my princess, but I am your viceroy," she pointed out.
"We will work as equals, Knight of Twelve." Cornelia said as a smile broke across her face. "There is much for us to catch up on Kallen. But you must excuse me, I have grown tired from my journey. When I am rested we will talk, and then we will decide on how to destroy Zero."
The princess retreated into the palace with her knight Guilford following close behind her but two of her entourage stayed behind. One man she recognized was tall, his light brown hair had not changed, nor had that grizzly scar across his face.
"General." She greeted him.
The man had a face that could scare off a lion but he greeted Kallen with a warm smile. "Dove, it has been so long. You have grown beautiful, even the princess will pale in comparison." Andreas Darlton praised her. Darlton had been Kallen's mentor when she served Cornelia all those years ago, in a way he was much like Arthur: he may not be family but he felt like an uncle to Kallen.
"My beauty may surpass the princess, but I will never surpass her on the battlefield." her blue eyes darted to the girl next to him. She was a year or two younger than Kallen, if not for her pink hair Kallen might have mistaken her for a younger Cornelia. This similarity led Kallen to guess her identity. "It is an honor to finally meet you, your highness." she said as she bowed.
Euphemia li Britannia had bluish violet eyes that could captivate anyone, her skin was fair as snow, and her distinct pink hair could catch anybody's attention. The young princess returned a courteous bow of her own.
"I am honored as well, Knight of Twelve." her blue eyes scanned her guard. "I am here to observe, to learn, from my sister and yourself." Euphemia said with shyness to her voice. "If you would allow it of course."
"Of course your highness. You are of age to rule soon, I would be honored by your very presence so that you may learn the art of governance."
The young princess seemed emboldened by Kallen's generous answer and soon left flanked by two guards. Soon the courtyard cleared with only Kallen, Arthur, and Darlton staying behind, the three of them quickly found themselves drinking wine in Arthur's quarters.
"You have raised a spectacular guard Arthur, one good glance and I could tell they are sturdy, loyal men." Darlton praised Arthur. It had been Darlton's idea to create for Kallen a personal guard. She fights like a storm of fire, she needs good men watching her back, Darlton had said long ago.
"There is still much for them to learn." Arthur said humbly but a proud smile was etched on his face. "But enough about us, tell us friend, how goes the war effort?"
"Not as well as the media reports, I'm afraid. The new Knightmare frames produced in the European Union are the real deal, they are excellent machines with strong mobility and powerful rifles." the general sipped from the wine cup. "Thankfully our Knightmare frames outnumber theirs three to one still. We are lucky the Europeans lack Sakuradite, if not we would completely lose our advantage in the field."
"It is still worrisome." Kallen spoke up. "We expected to hold the technological advantage for five more years, how could the Europeans procure such machines?"
The general shrugged. "The Europeans are a bright and clever people, likely an engineer was able to reverse-engineer a captured Sutherland." He took another sip. "Guilford theorizes that mayhaps the Europeans received sensitive documents on building Knightmare frames."
"A spy?" Arthur asked. Darlton nodded. "It is not impossible."
"Not impossible? That is the only explanation." the Knight of Twelve fervently claimed. "My father's business manufactures the new retrofitted Sutherlands, I know how hard it is to make those machines, how perfect they must be built." she sipped half the cup before continuing. "There is no way the Europeans could have built equivalent machines just through reverse-engineering."
Darlton did not seem convinced. "Mayhaps you are correct, but spy or no spy the situation remains the same. Europe's recent victories in North Africa have resparked their hopes and unification. Prince Schneizel was negotiating Spain's surrender in the war until.." the general sighed and took a large sip of wine.
"...until Odysseus eu Britannia's whole army was destroyed in the battle of Egypt?" Arthur guessed.
Darlton sighed with his eyes closed and nodded.
The crown prince led the defense of Egypt from a EU counterattack: it was the first battle in the entire war where the European Knightmare Frames actually outnumbered their Britannian counterparts, that had occurred a few months ago.
"That is a shame. Odysseus destroyed Schneizel's whole plot." Kallen said sullenly.
Prince Schneizel dreamt of conquering Europe through diplomacy and he had been on the brink of acquiring the surrender of the Spanish, but the recent Britannian blunders had emboldened and unified the Europeans like never before. "It was not the crown prince's fault." Darlton said earnestly. "He may not be a brilliant commander but he fought as well as he could, the Europeans caught us all by surprise with their new Knightmares."
"I need to go back." Kallen felt an excitement tinge through her body. "Britannia needs me in Africa." The call of war is too exciting for me, I need to stop drinking.
"Better to fight here, my lady." Arthur argued. "Keeping Area 11 stable is the most anyone can help, we must keep the flow of Sakuradite steady."
"Arthur speaks truly, Britannia would appreciate your help no doubt, but Area 11 is arguably more important than Egypt." The man looked around as if to check for unwanted ears. "The rise of this Zero is troubling as well, if the situation deteriorates the Eleven's could rise in open rebellion and we do not have the men to spare."
Kallen grimaced at those words. "Have the tides truly turned so badly against us?" Kallen remembered years ago of Prince Schneizel boasting that the war would be over before her eighteenth birthday, a birthday fast approaching.
"We are still winning the war do not mistake me." Darlton explained. "We still hold Morocco and the Middle Eastern Federation is all but destroyed after Princess Cornelia's campaign. But our numbers are growing thin, when I speak of open rebellion by the Elevens I do not fear the Elevens, I fear what the Chinese Federation would do."
"A fear well warranted." Kallen agreed. The Chinese Federation was a giant of an empire - old and crumbling - but still an empire. "If the Elevens rise up we must crush them before the Chinese have a chance to intervene." she muttered.
"That would be our best path, yes," Arthur said. "But we cannot let the situation deteriorate to such a point."
"Yes, we must win the hearts and minds of the Eleven and calm the realm." Darlton agreed as he placed down his glass, his eyes were beginning to close. "I must excuse myself friends, the night grows late and my eyes grow weary. I will see you all tomorrow."
General Darlton left and the warmth of the room seemed to reside, Arthur glanced at the door to make sure it was closed. "Is it true?" Kallen muttered under her breath.
"Aye, General Bartley is dead." Arthur confirmed it. "My men have already changed the murder scene to make it look like an Eleven did it." The old man sat on his desk and began to type on his computer, a video popped up on the monitor. "The assassin was a Chinese citizen, we can confirm this. But he has no affiliation with any of the Chinese agencies. I am beginning to fear that this man knows about our green haired witch."
"What makes you think that?" she asked with worry.
"It is only a theory," old man Arthur admitted. "But why else would someone target the general, if it is not about Project R?"
The mention of the project made Kallen shudder. They had experimented on the green haired girl with brutal methods - too brutal, even for Kallen. She pushed those thoughts away though, she needed to focus.
"Not a bad theory," she admitted. "But it is still a leap in logic. Do not share this footage with anybody except those searching for the green-haired girl." she whispered.
"You still plan on keeping this a secret from your highness?" Arthur asked her.
"Until we capture our witch, aye, it will remain a secret."
"Understood." Arthur loyally replied. "Should we increase our numbers of those surveilling for the green haired girl and this assassin?"
"No, increase the numbers any more and it will bring unwanted attention. Offer our surveillance team triple the pay if they double their hours." she commanded. "We will find this green haired woman no matter the cost."
That night Kallen thought of assassins, witches, and terrorists. This Chinese assassin may be problematic, she hoped he would prove less elusive than the witch. Could the Chinese man be connected to Zero as well? Her head hurt: Zero, the witch, the Chinese man, could they all truly be part of some organization or group? She found it unlikely but she had already witnessed firsthand the fact Zero was working with the witch.
She tried thinking of sweeter things to sleep, sweeter things that included a kiss with Ashford's student council vice-president. It was a meaningless kiss, she told herself, regardless the memory proved to be comforting. She thought about Suzaku Kururugi, about his dream of changing Britannia from the inside. She thought about the young Princess Euphemia and her beautiful purple-blue eyes.
But ugly memories came roaring back. She thought about her three battles: about how many men she killed, about how many women she threatened with with slavery, about how she ordered for a terrorist to have their kneecaps broken for refusing to submit. She thought about her brother who was somewhere out there, likely judging her harshly for her rule of Area 11.
She decided to forgo sleep. After wandering through the viceroy's palace in the night she found herself in the Knightmare Frame Simulation room and found Suzaku Kururugi training.
"A sound rest will help improve your skills more than overworking yourself, Suzaku."
The Eleven smiled sheepishly. "I'm only training to release some stress."
"And what troubles you?"
A sad look came across his face. "I've been reliving old memories recently, memories that I thought were deeply buried and locked away. I'm trying to come to a difficult decision," he said. Suzaku frowned as he looked away as if hiding. "I am afraid my honor is lacking, my lady, I do not believe I should serve under you."
This surprised her, only a few hours ago Suzaku had been talking of his dreams and desire to change Britannia from within. The heat of battle drives him, without it he becomes meek.
"Is this because of what happened with Alexis?"
"No, my lady. It is just a heavy burden, as Japanese - " Suzaku stopped himself. "As an Eleven, it is difficult. My honor and loyalty feels torn, my heart is heavy, I thought this was the right thing to do, to serve you, but of late I have grown full of doubt."
"You serve Britannia, do you not?" she asked him. "You swore your loyalty, do not break away because things become difficult." Kallen tried to stay calm but there was frustration in her voice. "Suzaku, you want to change Britannia, you want my rule to be kinder, to be better, and you will help me. But the foundation must be destroyed, these terrorists that resist us must be destroyed, the old must be swept aside for the new to flourish. Cowards will tell you that the end does not justify the mean: they are wrong. The strong rule, the weak obey, that is the way of life, through fire and blood we will rebuild Area 11 into a better, kinder realm. But you cannot hesitate, you cannot look away, you must do what is necessary, do you understand?"
"Is that really the only way?" he spoke defiantly. "Through fire and blood?" Suzaku looked at Kallen with hesitation but his face and resolve hardened. "There must be another way, something better. A way to bring the change peacefully." he sounded desperate. "We are no better than the terrorist, no better than those who rule through violence."
Kallen grabbed his shoulders and shook him. "Wake up!" she shouted. "Wake up and look around you! Area 11 is pitted in a fight, between the old and the new. If you want the spirit of Japan to return then leave my sight and join those terrorist." her anger rose. "But do not think they have the region's interest at heart, men are all greedy, all they want is to better themselves. Me on the other hand?"
Kallen stepped back and pointed at herself. "There is nothing for me to gain here. I swear it to you, Suzaku, I will bring the change to Area 11 that you desire, to make it a place where peace and prosperity reign supreme. But that change will be found in a hard, long, painful road."
Suzaku sat slumped on a chair, his head looking up. The Eleven looked angry at first but he remained quiet, then the anger faded and his mouth closed, his eyes casted down towards his feet as a look of melancholy began to fill him. Kallen then lowered herself.
"Look at me Suzaku, we cannot hesitate, do you understand? If you desire to leave my services then say the word, but I ask you to harden yourself, steel yourself to the horrors of the world, and help me."
He looked up at her, there was a look of defeat in his eyes. "Through fire and blood," he repeated her words.
Kallen helped Suzaku stand up. "You are good and honest, Suzaku, loyal as well, I promise you that you will not regret serving me."
Suzaku Kurugi went back to the barracks to sleep, this inspired Kallen to try sleeping once more. But after an hour it was clear sleep was proving to be far too elusive. Instead she worked on papers, documents to sign, reviewing plans, and even reading the news. The sun began to rise and one of her maids came into the office with coffee.
The drink opened her eyes somewhat as the haziness of a tired mind was driven away, a cold shower also helped. She dressed for school and then suddenly: "Viceroy, the princess would like to see you." It was Guilford who came into her office.
After a brisk walk through the halls of the palace she found herself with Cornelia who stood over a map of Area 11. Her eyes glanced up, stopping at her uniform, but the princess ignored it and pointed to Shinjuku. "I will draw Zero out of his hiding place." she said with a smile on her face.
"In Shinjuku?" Kallen frowned. "You plan to start a second battle there?"
"Aye, we will beat him there, but do not think I repeat the mistakes my brother made."
"I do not doubt that," Kallen said. "I doubt that Zero will show up."
The princess grinned. "He will for Zero is an arrogant man: a man of theatrics and grand speeches. This will be a clear challenge to him, but if he does not appear that will be fine too. I plan to crush the terrorists in Shinjuku regardless of Zero appearing or not. We will make an example of them all."
Kallen thought about Liliana's report on the terrorist group in Shinjuku, a group led by a certain Eleven named Naoto.
A coincidence, she tried to convince herself, nothing else.
"Your highness, this is a bold plan but I should inform you that Shinjuku will be a difficult fight." she pointed at the map. "It is a sprawling urban environment with far too many buildings and windows, and that is not to mention the tunnels as well. Even before Zero aided the terrorist with his tactics, Prince Clovis suffered heavily in the city."
Cornelia smirked, almost amused by Kallen's advice. "I understand the risks Shinjuku entails, and that is why I am certain that Zero will come." The princess seemed to be standing taller than before. "He already sought to kill one prince, he will eagerly look to kill me as well."
One of Cornelia's secretaries gave Kallen a large binder: a binder containing Cornelia's plan for her attack on Shinjuku. It would be a pitted battle against the terrorist and Kallen had no doubt they would win, but the losses would be far too much. But we must nip Zero before he blossoms, she thought. They were lives that would be well spent.
She analyzed the binder in the car on her way to Ashford Academy. Liliana sat next to her almost dozing.
"What were you working on?" Kallen asked.
She rubbed her eyes trying to stay awake. "I was working on a dossier for Zero, and also our mysterious Chinese male who killed Bartley." the blonde girl yawned.
Liliana had woken up late, so once more her squire used the showers in the clubhouse of the school. This is becoming something of a trend, Kallen realized. But a trend she enjoyed, the clubhouse had become a calming place for the acting viceroy. A place where I can express myself freely as well. Memories came back of when she acted so un-lady like and put her lips on Lelouch's, to distract herself she began to read through Cornelia's binder again
The distraction was not enough, she felt Lelouch's absence. He is avoiding me, she thought. Did she really miss the company of the purple eyed boy? But the door opened and Lelouch came in. His face was drowsy yet somehow he always looked so kempt. His eyes darted to her after he glanced around the room. "You are here early today."
Kallen looked towards the grandfather clock and realized he was right, she had arrived 20 minutes earlier than usual. He is not avoiding me, she realized. I just came early.
"Listen, about yesterday," Kallen said as she stood up.
"Nothing happened yesterday." the teen said with a cool tone. "There is nothing to speak about."
It was the perfect answer, the one Kallen wanted to hear. But she felt somehow offended all the same. I kissed him and he just brushed me off? She felt herself pout. It is fine, she tried to convince herself. Put these girlish thoughts away.
"Good, very good." she sat down to look away wanting to hide her embarrassment.
"Can I ask you a question?" he asked suddenly as he approached. Kallen looked up, he had a stern, serious face.
"Do you have any siblings?" he asked.
"I do." she said. I just don't know if he's even alive.
"How far would you go for them?"
She thought about it. She loved her brother, truly. But when was the last time she saw him? Eight years ago now? Eight years changes people. Would her brother even be the same? Could he ever possibly live up to her idealization of him? She thought not.
"I would do plenty, but it depends."
"It depends." Lelouch repeated her words with a thinkative face.
"Is this about your sister?"
His purple eyes flashed and he nodded. "Yes, it is about her and I must admit I have been stumped on what to do." he there was something in his voice that threw Kallen off. The last time he talked about his sister Lelouch Lamperouge glowed brighter than a star, but now there was something…off about him. Is he lying to me?
"Stumped about what?" she inquired.
Lelouch looked at the binder on the table before he talked. "She is sickly, my sister," he said. "I may have her attend a school where she has access to better medical facilities, but that means I will not be with her." his voice almost broke as he looked down.
"Oh." was all Kallen could muster as a pang of guilt washed through her. Something about his comment still felt off: but why would he lie to me? She decided to believe him. "It is not easy to be separated from a brother or sister. You seem to really love your sister Lelouch, and I am certain that your sisters loves you the same way. Mayhaps you should let her decide?"
"Mayhaps." Lelouch muttered, he once more looked at the binder and spoke some words.
Kallen felt her face warm up and a dizzying sense came over her.
Her face felt flush as she grabbed the binder, a part of her was angry, upset.
But Kallen didn't understand, she couldn't understand. Her lips seemed to be moving but she did not know what they spelled out.
Something inside her screamed in anger, in frustration, her very soul seemed to be kicking and screaming.
And something else was strangling that very soul.
Her blurriness faded momentarily, the red vanished and she saw Lelouch looking over the binder.
Stop, she tried to say but no sound came from her mouth. What are you doing? She tried to scream but only silence lingered. STOP, she tried to scream again, this time a grunting noise came from her throat. Lelouch stopped looking at the binder and looked at her, his lips moved and once more and her soul was being choked once more.
The weight of her body felt so sluggish that she could not even move her hands, the blurriness came back like a storm and her body felt a warmth that made her sweat.
When she came to her senses Lelouch was grabbing her on the floor, his face was one of anxiousness and worry. "Kallen, Kallen, are you alright?" he asked. He had wrapped one arm around her body and the other behind her head. "Kallen, can you hear me?" he repeated.
The blur began to fade, her soul could breathe.
"I…fell?" she asked, her throat was dry.
"You did, you scared me." Lelouch unwrapped one of his arms and touched her forehead and suddenly pulled his arm away. "You're burning up." he said, his voice was one of disbelief as he wrapped his arm behind her head again. "Can you get up?"
"No," Kallen lied as she looked up at him, his purple eyes shined as bright as the sun, his raven black hair was smooth and orderly, his skin was a pleasing white that somehow held no blemishes. She enjoyed the sensation of his arms holding her in place, close to his body and chest, she felt safe.
As her wit returned her shame returned as well, the boy still looked down at her anxiously and Kallen was enjoying herself. Her body felt warm all over but additional warmth flushed her face as she suddenly stood up.
"Thank you," she said desperately. "I do not know what came over me."
"It's obvious, you are ill." Lelouch said while frowning but he sounded unsure.
Kallen was sure though. Her whole body seemed to ache, her mind felt sluggish and her face burned with a strong somehow she felt embarrassed more than anything else. His hold was kind, I felt so safe. She instantly pushed those thoughts away.
Soon enough Lilina finished her shower and checked on Kallen herself.
"You're not going to school today." her squire almost sounded like her mother, Kallen wanted to go to school but she did not have the energy to argue.
I should not have drank wine with Arthur and Darlton so late into the night, she thought bitterly.
As Liliana helped her stand up she thought of that: of Lelouch holding her so tenderly. But as she left she saw Lelouch, and his purple eyes were cold.
Lelouch vi Britannia could not help himself: the binder had the seal of the royal family after all. With his Geass he commanded the viceroy to let him read it. The strong and willful Kallen Stadfeld crumbled and a meek stranger replaced her. When Lelouch finished reading over the binder he asked her questions.
"When will Cornelia attack Shinjuku?"
"Tomorrow morning."
"Will you be part of this attack?"
"Yes, but only as part of the reserves. Cornelia is worried that if I am in the battlefield with my Lancelot, Zero will not come."
Lelouch noticed though after a few questions the viceroy began to hesitate, her answers came slower, even her tone grew doubtful. Soon she collapsed, Lelouch panicked at the sight but calmed down as Kallen recovered. The last thing I need is this power of mine killing people unexpectedly, especially someone like the viceroy.
Before Kallen left, Liliana approached him.
"Thank you for helping my lady." the blonde girl said with a small bow.
"It was the least I could do." he said with a disarming smile.
When they left his mind raced. The news about Cornelia attacking Shinjuku was what he primarily thought about. But he also thought about Kallen, did my Geass cause her fever? He retreated back into his room and found C.C still sprawled in his bed. She was an enticing sight: her body matured, her waist narrow and her chest was full. It was distracting Lelouch would admit, but he had no time for that, he had to plan his rebellion.
Should he play with fire? Cornelia's attack on Shinjuku was obviously a trap, Kallen confirmed as much. But her position would be vulnerable -even if on purpose-. He pondered deeply in his chair as he stared at the computer screen. There were too many factors to consider: Naoto's group was in Shinjuku, Lelouch at least had to warn them.
The exiled prince frowned, Shinjuku will suffer again. But maybe he could use that suffering to his advantage? Mayhaps this will be where the Black Knights make their debut. Lelouch decided he would skip school today.
He heard rustling behind him. "You ignore me again, you offend me deeply, Lelouch." C.C said teasingly.
"I have no time for your games." Lelouch snarked, he turned his chair around and saw C.C leaning sideways half covered in blankets. "I have some questions about Geass."
The green haired girl looked half-asleep but her eyebrows raised nonetheless. "I told you all you needed to know."
"It's about my…Geass." he said the last part unsure. This power of his was still new and mysterious. "It is Absolute Obedience but I am sure Kallen resisted me."
"She didn't follow your orders?" she asked curiously.
"No, she did, but the more I demanded the more doubt spread across her face." Lelouch said solemnly. "At the end her body broke into a fever. It's like her body was trying to fight back."
C.C did not look convinced. "A coincidence, nothing else. The small resistance is natural though but no worry, as you command her more and more her willpower will crumble away."
Lelouch frowned and C.C seemed amused by that.
"Why so troubled, prince? Kallen is a slave to your commands, there is no going back."
Lelouch sighed. Two days ago he used his Geass on the viceroy and his command was: You will obey anything I say, this Geass came while they talked about her book, Maxim's Conquest. The temptation was too much: he had promised his close friend to limit the usage of his Geass but who could blame Lelouch? The most powerful person in all of Area 11, its viceroy, a Knight of Rounds, was right in front of him, all alone. If he had used a simple command it would have been a waste, but he used a Geass that would bend Kallen to his will, whenever he pleased.
"It was wrong of me to use Geass like that." Lelouch said while frowning. His friend was right, this power was evil.
"It is the power of kings, don't noble boys like you do what you want and take what you want?" C.C asked while amused, she pulled up her bedsheets further up and turned around. "It matters not, if you don't want to twist her mind then don't make her do anything, simple as that."
The witch did not understand the morality of it. Kallen Stadfeld was his enemy, a girl that was equally dangerous and ruthless. Yet Lelouch had gained some respect for her, for that strong and proud attitude, a will that seemed to never bend or shake.
I am a pawn, I have been a pawn my whole life. Kallen had spoken from her heart yesterday about all the insecurities that plagued her, about how she never felt in control, about how she was always doing the bidding of others and never her own. Lelouch faced himself in the mirror and sighed deeply.
And now she will do my bidding without question. Kallen dreamed for self-determination, for control of her own life. And Lelouch could destroy that dream: all he had to do was command it. He had Kallen Stadfeld in the palm of his hands, all he had to do was crush her.
And so another Lelouch/Kallen chapter ends and we have a big revelation.
Only two people caught this in the story reviews that Lelouch had used Geass on Kallen previously: CodeGeassFan and Dark008. Congrats!
And it's not just a simple Geass, it's total control over Kallen whenever he needs it.
But there are a few hints that nobody has caught on to yet :)
The next chapter may be small and focus exclusively on a Naoto POV. But a second battle of Shinjuku will be coming, I'm curious who you guys think will win:
Lelouch + Naoto + Some other groups
or
Cornelia + Kallen's group
PS General Darlton is such a cool mf even in just the anime, underused character.
