I deleted the story Vices, I wasn't really getting anywhere and wanna focus more on this one.. Anyway with Sally's new year date being August 13th 1979 I decided the original years still work.. This would also make Franklin older too. So uh anyway here's a restart of everything.
Sally Lamar and Franklin (though Lamar is 3 years older) actually knew each other as children rather than running into each as adults, having went to school together, though from the beginning Sally had already developed her feelings for Franklin but like originally she was far too afraid to tell him, but Lamar knew and is surprisingly smart about these things, giving the best advice he could, but also admitting that he's still bitter that his last girlfriend left him.
After the three graduate, Lamar being Lamar starts getting into trouble and shortly after Sally turned 18 she found Lamar secretly joined Grove Street Families, Sally and Franklin end up joining too, if only to stop Lamar getting himself killed. And it's around here our story begins.
Following his mother's murder in a drive-by shooting, Carl Johnson returns to Los Santos to investigate but upon arrival, he is intercepted by C.R.A.S.H., who threaten to frame him for the recent murder of a police officer (actually killed by them for trying to expose their corruption), but he is saved by Lamar scaring Tenpenny away with a shotgun blast. And gives CJ a ride to Grove street. Explaining his story along the way.
"Well at least you're not doing meth." CJ groaned.
CJ reunites with Sweet, Kendl, Big Smoke, and Ryder at the funeral, and learns that the Grove Street Families have lost most of their influence and territories to their main rivals, the Ballas. CJ agrees to stay in Los Santos until the gang's problems are resolved, and works closely with his brother and friends to restore the Families' strength. He also meets Sally and Franklin, Sally saying she lives with her sister, but that Dash had already been in jail at only 15/16, and is still inside actually.
CJ says he'll bail her out, depending how loyal Sally is. He tries to act distant to not get close, but the first hint otherwise being he has her and Franklin stay in Grove Street in one of the empty houses. Sally admitting her house was evicted anyway, as Sally only had a minion rage job and Dash kept buying booze with most of the money.
"Well you won't have money problems anymore, but you'll probably have bigger ones now." Ryder admitted.
This actually adds a lot more history to Franklin's and Sally's relationship.. Which is probably much better when I think about it.. It's also why Lamar seems to get Out of Character serious when Sal's threatened.,
FUN FACT: Sally's real name that Sally is short for is officially "Salome"..
