I awoke feeling extremely comfortable and extremely warm. Keeping my eyes closed I yawned and tried to sit, but something held me to the bed.
My eyes opened.
I was lying on top of a certain pirate who was holding tightly onto my waist. His thumb was lightly tracing circles on my side, but I could tell from his light breathing that he was still asleep. I slowly lifted Jack's arms from around my body and slid off of him. He stirred slightly and turned his head away from where I sat.
I quickly began to gather my clothes from around the room. As I was buttoning my pants, I heard a soft chuckle come from behind me.
I turned sharply then realized I wore no shirt and tried to cover myself.
" 'Lizabeth, love. Nothin' I 'aven't seen before."
My face burned at the comment and I turned away, the quest for my shirt becoming very important.
" Lizzie, why must ye be leavin' so fast? Somethin' important, aye?"
"No Jack, I just wanted some fresh air, that's all." I located my shirt near the door of our cabin and tugged it on.
Jack sat and I turned back towards him, buttoning my shirt. He smirked at me and, without knowing what exactly he was smirking about, smirked back at him.
"Jack, come watch the sunrise with me. It's been beautiful these part few mornings."
"Nothin', not even the sunrise, can compare to your beauty, love."
I blushed deeply. "Well, Jack, that might've been the sweetest thing you've ever said to me." His smirk grew.
I found my vest under his pants, so I threw them said pants at Jack and pulled ,my vest on, buttoning it, and then sitting to put on my boots.
Jack stood and I watched him dress. He really was handsome, the way his muscles rippled as he walked, trying to find the rest of his clothing.
As he buttoned his shirt, he sat and looked at me.
"What?" I hissed
"Nothing, love. Just watchin' ye."
"Well…Well hurry and finish dressin' or we'll miss the sunrise."
"The sunrise every mornin' love." He raised his eyebrow at me, looking rather amused.
"Yes, well, I still want to watch it. And not tomorrow Jack. Today. Because it won't be as beautiful tomorrow as it will be today. Savvy?" I asked, mocking him.
A rare grin spread across his features and he quickly put on his boots and hat, and led me onto the deck.
I smiled happily, seeing that we hadn't missed the sunrise. No on else was awake yet, so I turned and strode to the helm, Jack watching me intently.
"Isn't it gorgeous Jack?" I yelled down to him.
"Aye that ye are."
"Jack, the sunrise. It seems so much prettier on the water than on land. I dunno why, but it is. In face, everything is prettier on the water, "I turned my head away from the sky, and he was standing next to me, his breath warm on my check, "Wouldn't you agree Jack?"
"Aye, I'd agree. Everything is prettier on the water. Although, you and the Pearl are pretty wherever you go."
I smiled, "Aye, I'll agree with you Jack. You and the Pearl are pretty."
That rare grin was back, "You love, are much prettier than the Pearl. "he laughed, "And if I do say so myself, I'm prettier that the Pearl as well."
