None of them remembered exactly whose idea it had first been, perhaps they all had the idea at the same time; but regardless of which of them first mentioned the idea or who had originated it, they were going through with it now. The three of them, each holding onto a section of the paopu fruit in the middle of their circle.
"Ready?" Riku
"Ready." Sora
"Ready." Kairi
"We don't know if it'll work, since there's three of us instead of two but…" Riku
"We have to try." Sora
"It has to work." Kairi
They all looked at each other for a moment. They were going to ensure that the separation they had endured over the past would never repeat itself, that the three of them would always be together, at least in some way.
They each nodded to each other before breaking off their section of the paopu fruit and eating it. This was the first thing they did after the king left with the others.
"I hope it works." Riku
"It has to work." Sora
"As long as we believe, right?" Kairi
"Right."
