Waiting
Just a oneshot I thought of because I'm waiting for my exam results to come in tomorrow. I dedicate this piece to anyone else who is waiting for results. Please review.

Today was the day…O.W.L results came in today. Hermione had been stressing about it for weeks. "What did you write for question seventeen in the charms paper? I knew I should have paid more attention and taken more notes in class. How much did you write for the last question in the potions paper? I am sure I haven't written enough…"
This is what Harry and Ron had been subjected to from the moment they had sat their final exam. Harry and Ron were sick of hearing about it. They were both just as anxious about getting their results as she was. The difference between them and Hermione was they kept their worries to themselves.
As the time grew closer to the owls arriving with their results their nerves jangled awfully. Each wanted good results for different reasons.
Hermione always felt she had something to prove because she came from a muggle born family. She may make out that the likes of Malfoy's comments didn't bother her but deep down they did. Hermione believed in order for her to show that she was worthy of her place in Hogwarts fine school of witchcraft and wizardry was by achieving nothing less than top marks.
Ron had always felt over shadowed by his family. Fred and George may not have achieved the best school results but their quick humour and now very successful joke business gave them their place of pride in their parent's eyes. Percy…before…this had always been the perfect boy…Ginny had a special place within the family because she was a girl and Bill and Charlie had made themselves a great success. Ron felt like he just straggled behind. He wanted his moment of fame to show that he could make his parents proud…to have all the focus on him…just for once.
Harry Potter just wanted to make his parents proud. He wanted to be Harry…not Harry Potter the boy who lived. He wanted to show his parents what he could do as a person and not just because of his name. He just wanted to believe that he was more than his name…
The three met each other's eyes. There nerves really were over the same thing just in different contexts…they all wanted to be accepted for who they were.
Just then the owl swooped towards their place of residence with their fate in its beak.
