InuYasha's eyes were full of childlike wonder as the flurry of snowflakes fluttered down, filling his vision.
Moments later, his ears picked up the sound of Kagome entering. Snapped out of his reverie, the Hanyou lost his grip on the small object he held.
Kagome walked over and picked it up as it fell to the floor. "What were you doing with my snowglobe?"
"Huh?" He looked confused. "Kagome, how was it snowing in that thing?"
She laughed, "It's not really snow. It's just supposed to look like it."
InuYasha frowned, embarrassed at his lack of understanding regarding modern items. "Keh, I knew that," he bluffed.
Sitting down on the bed with him, Kagome smiled warmly and held it towards him. "You can have it."
His amber eyes widened, surprised.
"Just take it. You'll enjoy it more than I do."
'Keh-ing,' InuYasha placed it in his robe, feigning disinterest. "If you want me to, I guess."
InuYasha proved to be far from uninterested. Time and again, he'd slide it out of his robes, proving that he treasured the gift.
But perhaps not as much as Kagome treasured seeing him reveal the innocent heart that only she was able to see.
