Disclaimer: RWBY is owned by Rooster Teeth production. This is just a fanfic. I only own the OCs.

For those who are new here: This is my brain child, a RWBY next generation fic. The ships are Whiterose and Bumbleby. Their kids AREN'T adopted. They're biologically the children of both of their mothers. How? I don't really know, Atlas tech. They made Penny, I'm sure they can come up with something.

Anyway I hope you like it.

Chapter 1: Enter Summer Schnee

It was starting to get dark. The last rays of sunshine illuminated the ruins of an abandoned village. Places like this could be found all around Vale. People usually chose to avoid them because they were spooky and swarming with Grimm. But Summer didn't really care. She needed a place were she could train Matt and this was the best she could find. She had some business to do here anyway, so she decided to kill two birds with one stone.

The red-and-white haired girl was sitting on a rock watching with amusement on her face as Matt tried (and failed) to kill a Boarbatusk. Summer let put a small laughter as the Grimm hit him in the gut.

"Congratulations Future Hunter. I've never felt more secure."

"Fuck you! That's like an Alpha Boarbatusk or something!" the brown haired boy cried, cluching his abdomen. His aura protected him, but it still wasn't really pleasant. He managed to dodge the next attack and tried to hit the Boarbatusk on it's back, but his sword easily bounced off of it's armor. The unexpectedly powerful recoil made Matt lose his balance and fell to the ground.

"Yes! Hit the armor! There's no possible way it could backfire!" Summer remarked bitingly.

"Are you just gonna sit there and continue giving me shit or are you gonna actually help?" he retorted, having had enough of the girl's snarky comments. Summer's lips curled into a smirk. Without a word she grabbed her sword and in the blink of an eye finished the Grimm off. For a moment Matt couldn't help, but be impressed.

"Wow!" she exclaimed with false surprise in her voice. "It turn out that hitting a Boarbatusk where it isn't covered with armor can kill it! I would've never thought about that!" and Matt was reminded who his mentor was. He didn't reply, just gave her a dirty look. The girl's features seemed to soften a bit as she reached out and helped Matt up. "So what did you learn?"

"Don't hit the armor?"

"Find the weak points of your enemy. Look at it." Summer pointed to the disintegrating corpse of the Boarbatusk. "It doesn't have any armor on it's underside."

"Why didn't you just say that?!"

"If told you the answer, you'd never learn."

"Geez thanks... Mentor of the year." he grumbled.

"Be grateful. During my training I got punched by a Beringel and my mentor told me to suck it up and take the pain."

"Sounds charming..." At least now he presumably knew where Summer's teaching methods came from... He was about to suggest going home, when a question popped into his mind. "By the way don't you wanna be a Huntress?" For a moment Summer stiffened. "It's just that... you seem pretty good and... I thought that..."

"I would go to Beacon with you?" she asked. "Hate to break it to you, but I have much better things to do than going to some crappy Academy where..." before she could finish however, a flash of light appeared in the distance. "Shit..." she mumbled, then turned to Matt. "Go home."

"What? What's going on?"

"Nothing. I just have some business with them." Summer explained, but Matt wasn't convinced.

"I'm not leaving you alone with them." he insisted.

"Just go!" Summer snapped. Matt seemed a bit taken aback, by her sudden outburs. He didn't say anything, just turned around and ran off.

Summer let out a sighed in relief. Finally, now she could do her job. She carefully made her way towards the light. There were three... No four men. Three of them were faunus. Two had canine ears and one had a tail. Summer couldn't make out anything other than that and their general stature. Coming here was a stupid idea... She could barely see anything. The only source of light was the flashlight carried by the human.

"Why are we here again?" one of them asked.

"Where's Delilah? Wasn't she supposed to be here?"

"Shut up!"

"It's cold! I don't wanna be here!"

"Just shut up!" the human snapped at them.

"Boss. I think someone is following us." The men stopped and the human turned his flashlight off, but it was too late. Summer knew where they were and with a swing of her sword incased them in ice, then switched to Fire Dust. Small flames engulfed her blade and illuminated the area so Summer was able to see their faces. The faunus all looked very similar. Probably related? The only true difference was their size. The largest one was bold. His head and ears seemed burnt. He was around three times bigger than Summer. The second one was still very muscular, but wasn't as big as his companion. He had normal canine ears, a small mustache and ponytail. The third was the smallest, but still was twice the size of Summer. He had dark skin and yellow eyes, just like the other two.

"So you would be the famous vigilante?" Summer turned towards the human. He looked oddly confident for someone whose body was nearly completly incased in ice. His red eyes curiously observed Summer's every move. "I must say I expected someone... older."

"Yeah... It must be embarassing to know that your men were beaten by a teenager." Summer retorted then put the blazing sword to his throat. "Now tell me: Who are you working for?" Summer had business with criminals like him and knew for a fact, that they aren't working alone. Most criminals in Vale didn't. They were all part of the same organization. So she thought apprehending their leader would be easier than fight all of them individually.

"I'm afraid I have to decline." he leant forward and grabbed the blade. At that moment the flames disappeared. Summer didn't even have time to react. The ice exploded and the shock wave threw her against a wall. Her aura took the hit, but she couldn't find her sword. Before she could get up two big hands locked around her neck as the bold faunus lifted her into the air.

"Not so confident anymore, are we?" the man gloated. "Careful Grey. We want her to be able to speak. Now tell me: Who are you and what do you want?" Summer glared at him, but didn't say anything. Suddenly she raised her leg into the air then kicked her captor in the face with everything she had. The faunus cried out in pain and dropped her to the ground. The other two immediately tried to jump on her, but Summer was faster. She quickly rolled out of their way and got up.

Her eyes rapidly scanned the area for her weapon. The three men were obviously a lot stronger than her, she had no chance of beating them without her sword. Fortunately the explosion set some of the buildings on fire so she was at least able to see properly. Unfortunately the three men quickly recovered and seemed pretty pissed. They surrounded her. When she tried to jump over smallest one of them he managed to grab her leg and slammed her to the ground. Summer tried to kick his hand away, but he was too strong. So she grabbed his hand, then used her free leg to threw him over her. The guy with the mustache went to his companions aid while the bold one immediately attacked her. Summer got up and dodge most of it, but he managed to get a few hits in. Soon the other two joined in and they also brought their weapons. They started to overwhelm her with attacks, keeping busy so she couldn't go the offensive and as good as she was at dodging she wouldn't be able to do it forever. Her aura level was rapidly decreasing. She had to come up with something.

All of a sudden her eyes cought a glimps of a metalic glint few meters away from her. Her sword! The men also noticed it and tried to stop her but they were too slow. Summer grabbed her sword and used the Fire Dust to send waves of flames against her enemy, causing them to back off.

But before she could finish however she was interrupted. The human emerged from the fire, seemingly unbothered by the flames.

"Not bad... " Suddenly she felt a pain in her chest then was sent fly back, crashing through a wall. The world was spinning and everything started to blur. The criminals were shouting, but she couldn't understand it. All she could remember was someone approaching her, before her consciousness slipped away completly.

The first thing she could remember was noises. Everything was so loud it made her head hurt. When she opened her eyes she was blinded by the brightness. Where was she? What's going on? What happened?

When she tried to get up she nearly collapsed. After few wobbly steps she managed to stumble her way to the nearest window. She was in an airship. But why? Did the criminals put kidnapped her? Then why didn't they tie up? Suddenly her thought were interrupted by a familiar voice.

"Summer?" She felt her heart stop. No... This can't be... When her eyes met the crystal blue ones, she became completely paralized. Summer opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out. Before she knew, she found herself locked in a bonecrushing embrace. Her whole body was shaking, she didn't know what to do. She could a growing wetness on her shoulder as her sister sobbed into it. Summer hestanitly patted her on the back. She has never been good at comforting.

"Hello Briar." she managed to choke out a few words, trying desperately to keep her emotions at bay. After a minute Briar pulled away and wiped away her tears.

"Sorry I... I just... after everything... I didn't think you would want to go to Beacon." Suddenly Summer felt like she was hit by a truck. That can't be happening. No. No. No. No! No! NO! NO! NONONONONO!

So here it is. What did you think? Is it better? Is it worse?

You can tell me in a review.
