-Kori's POV-
I sat on my couch in my Jump City home waiting for the arrival of a special someone. I didn't want this day to come. I closed my eyes and remembered the conversation over the phone.
-FLASHBACK-
"Kori, please listen to me!"
"NO! You know that I already chose Richard and now we even have children!"
"But..."
"You have lost your chance to keep both of your girls!"
"Kori..."
"If you want to talk to me, come to my house!" With that, Kori smacked the phone down.
-END OF FLASHBACK-

DING DONG!
That must be him. I hesitated and stood up to walk to the door. I opened the door and there stood him. Xavier Red, my ex-boyfriend. I turned my back to him and gestured him to follow me. He sat on the couch opposite from me. He looked the same, the same jet black hair, the same grey eyes.
"How do you want to start?" I asked him.
"I ummm...I don't know..." Xavier said looking at the floor.
"Well, let me start...why do you want me?"
"Kori face the truth...HE'S DEAD!"
"I love you, Kori!"
"Oh X, you know that Richard is my husband. I wouldn't do anything to hurt him."
"Kori face the truth...HE'S DEAD!"
I gasped at his words. Even if he is not in the world, he will always be my husband.
"Richard, he's my husband!" I exclaimed.
"I know that but are you going to mourn over him all your life!" Xavier exclaimed.
"I vow to be his wife forever! Nothing can change that:
"Your daughters need a father. Can't you do it for them?"
"Etoile and Candice don't need you as their father!"
"Please Kori..."
"I'm sorry Xavier. It's time for you to get a new girl!"
"Kori I love you. I can't go after a new girl!"
I stood up from my seat on the couch and started my way towards the door. I said, "Xavier you lost Toni because you thought me. You lost me because you thought of Toni. Now the two girls in your life has moved on. I am with my children while Toni is with Roy. Please don't lose anymore loved ones...for my sake."
He said nothing and just walked past me.
I said, "If you need any help, call me." I don't know if he heard but he pecked a kiss on my check before leaving. When he left my house, I looked at the wedding picture in the main hallway. "Did I do the right thing, Richard?" As if he heard me, I felt a kiss on my cheek. "Thank you Richard. I vow to be your wife forever. Nothing can change that. Nothing..."
