Two Years Later

Inside a cell, Crash and Aku Aku, though just Crash since the guards can't hurt Aku Aku, were sort of being treated less of prisoners more of guests with good food and some good accommodations. Soon their cell door opened, revealing none other than Dr. Neo Cortex. Aku Aku soon said, "Cortex, I see you did survive your plummet after your defeat."

"Yes, I did," Cortex said, then looks at Crash, and said, "Well, well, well, if it isn't Crash Bandicoot, despite it was late to say this, but welcome," Cortex then gave him a sad look, and said, "I apologize for the crude of bringing you here with Jak two years ago, but I rather expect a welcome invitation would've been turned down," he soon looks at Crash in a serious tone, "I need your help."

"Really?" Aku Aku asked, he paused then asked, "And just what do you need Crash's help with?"

Cortex soon replied, "The guards will be sending you to three obstacle courses, each with a Power Crystal," he soon takes out his Master Power Crystal, and said, "The Power Crystals look like this," he paused, and said, "Collect the Power Crystals, Crash, that's all I can tell you." He paused, then said, "When you get the first crystal, we will speak again."

Cortex then leaves, while the guards entered the cell, and one of them said, "Alright, come on furball!" Crash soon was escorted to what will be the obstacle course, Crash then begins the course, and eventually did his basic moves, jumping and spinning, until he got the first crystal.

Once he got it, Cortex soon said through an intercom, well done, Crash, I knew I can count on you, now listen carefully, during my intellectual research, I discovered something that will threaten where we are now. Power Crystals are the only means to save it, so it is important, that you bring them to me once you have enough." After going through two more obstacle courses, and getting two more crystals, Cortex says to Crash on the intercom, "Three Power Crystals, not bad. I see you're getting the hang of collecting them," Cortex paused, then said, "I shall now release you, use the ventilation shaft in your cell to make your 'escape.'"

Crash soon opened the grate to the ventilation shaft in his cell and begins to crawl out. Eventually he reached a big room, then hid somewhere to see what is going on. He sees the man that captured him and his friend, and pacing back and forth across from him, for he had an expensive armor on and had a metal plate on his left eye almost to the tip of his long ear. Between them, there was a prisoner with blonde hair screaming in pain as volts of purple electricity shocked him from machines. Crash soon noticed the prisoner and was shocked that it was Jak.

"Dark Eco injection cycle complete," said a voice on the computer, then uses a scope, and said, "Bio readings nominal and unchanged."

The armored man scoffs, and said, "Nothing!" he looks at the man, and said, "I was informed that this one might be different, Commander Erol."

The man, Commander Erol replied, "He is surprisingly resistant to your... 'experiments' Baron Praxis," the other man, Baron Praxis moves a bit, as Erol soon said, "I fear the Dark Warrior program has failed."

Baron Praxis growls, grabs Jak's head, and said, "You should at least be dead with all the Dark Eco I've pumped into you!"

Erol soon asked, "What now? Metal Head armies are pressing their attacks," some machines move back down at Jak as Erol continues, "Without a new weapon, my men cannot hold them off forever."

Baron Praxis has his back tuned, as he said, "I will not be remembered as the man who lost this," he turns, and points out, while saying, " city to those vile creatures!" He soon walks off, and said, "Move forward with the final plan!" then looks at Jak, and said, "And finish off the 'thing' tonight!"

"As you wish," Erol said, he then grabs Jak by his prisoner shirt, and mutters, "I'll be back later," he then walks off with Baron Praxis.

Crash and Aku Aku soon went to Jak with concerned faces, but then a bundle plopped by them, and a platform moving up with a familiar face who soon said, "Ding, ding... third floor... body chains, roach food, torture devices," he soon jumps on Jak's chest, and asked, "Hey buddy... you seen any heroes around here?" but then was shocked, and said, "Whoa! What'd they do to you?!"

Aku Aku replied, "Baron Praxis pumped him with Dark Eco, which me and Crash experienced while escaping our cell."

Their friend looks at Jak, and said, in a sad tone, "Jak, it's us... Daxter, Crash and Aku Aku!" Jak opens his eyes a bit then closed again, then Daxter said, "That's a fine hello!" he moved around Jak's chest, and said, "I've been crawling around in this place risking my tail," he holds it, while saying, "literally, to save all of you!" He looks at Jak and said, "I've been looking for you all for two years! One of you say something! Just this once!"

Jak opens his eyes, glares, and exclaims, "I'm gonna kill Praxis!" This shocked everyone that Jak spoke for the first time.

Daxter covers Jak's mouth, causing him to muffle, while Daxter shushing him, and said, "Right now, Jak, we gotta get you outta here," Jak then begins to breath heavily, causing Crash and Aku Aku to back up, while Daxter was trying to look around, and said, "Just let me figure out how to open the security locks for your chair so-" suddenly Jak roars and turned into what looks like a monstrous creature with light purple skin and hair, dark eyes, and long black claw-like fingernails, and breaks out of his chair, Daxter gets out off of him, and said, "Or ahh... you could do it," Jak gets up, and volts of purple electricity moves towards, causing Daxter to be worried, and said, "Jak? Easy now. Easy buddy. It's, it's your old pal Daxter remember?" Daxter than braces himself for what will happen next.

Jak was about to attack Daxter, but then stops, and asked, "Daxter?" he then turned back to normal.

Daxter soon yells out, "What the heck was that?! Sheesh, remind not to tick you off!" Daxter soon said, "Come on tall, dark and gruesome. We're outta here!" He then jumps on Jak's shoulder, then said, "I uh... brought you some new threads, Jak. Put 'em on."

Jak put it on, which were some long sleeve-shirt, boots, red bandana and the metal plate.

And begin to move around, Crash soon notice some crates, and broke them, causing Aku Aku to say, "Those crates should be everywhere in certain places, if you still remember that if you break them all, you'll might earn a Power Gem."

Jak and Crash went to some boxes, and Daxter asked, "Do you remember how to jump, Jak?" Jak then jumped and went to somewhere, and collects a familiar egg-shaped object, causing Daxter to say, "These Precursor Orbs are worth a lot now, we might find a few hidden around or get some doing difficult tasks, we'll be able to buy stuff with them." The group soon went to a hole and moved forward but then Daxter asked, "Please tell me you remember how to roll?"

Jak then rolled, while Crash did slide, causing Aku Aku to say, "I see you did learn to slide during you time at the obstacle course, Crash."

Suddenly the computer soon said, "Alert: Prison escape in progress!"

They knew they triggered an alarm, but then Jak noticed something on top of a shelf, jumps a collected another orb. The continued on, but then saw a ledge, causing Daxter to say, "Ooh, that's a high ledge. Try jumping once, then jump again in the air to reach that one." As they look around, they notice some different crates than the ones Crash brakes, causing Daxter to say, "There are lots of Krimzon Guard crates lying around for the taking, break that crate, Jak," Jak did, and not only got Dark Eco and something else, but the continued on.

As they continue on, the computer soon said, "You are in a restricted sector. This sector is on high alert."

The see a higher ledge, causing Daxter to say, "If you duck before you jump, you'll go higher. You need a high jump to reach the top of this ledge guys," they did as Daxter instructed, but they soon notice a Krimzon Guard, causing Daxter to say, "Guards Guys! Do your uh, stuff." Jak and Crash then fought the guard, while jumping then taking out another guard, then Jak used the high Jump onto a control panel and got another orb. Soon Jak broke some more guard crates, while Crash broke some wooden crates, but Jak got the same stuff, which is Dark Eco and that other thing, which caused Daxter to say, "Good job, Jak! That crate had a health pack inside. Pick it up. You'll need to keep healthy, Jak, or uh, who'll do the fighting?"

Crash broke some crates, among them was a crate with Aku Aku's face on it, causing the mask to say, "Crash, if you remember, my duty is to protect you, you can summon me if I'm gone by breaking the crates with my face on them, but if you call me thrice, and I will give you invincibility." Crash along the way found another Power Crystal, and collects it, this caused Aku Aku to say, "Jak, Daxter, Cortex is of course still alive and here, and gave Crash the task on collecting these Power Crystals, meaning that there are a few laying around here. I don't know what Cortex wants them for, but we better keep collecting them.

Jak and Crash then swinged on the poles and continue forward, but then the computer said, "Surrender yourself. You are under arrest."

The moved forward, taking out some Krimson Guards, then Jak broke the guard crates to get Dark Eco, while Crash broke more normal crates, then they reached a long gap, this caused Daxter to say, "You can get a longer jump by rolling into it."

Aku Aku then said, "Crash, you can also get a longer jump by sliding," Crash then slid and jumped, while Jak didn't, for below the gap was another orb, which he collects. Jak then rolls and jumps, then the group continued forward, however through some grates, the Krimson Guards were below them and began shooting them through the grate. Jak noticed an orb behind the control panel and the group went through while avoid the shots from the guards. They soon notice a Power Crystal, causing the mask to say, "Jak, Daxter this is a Power Crystal, Crash needs to collect them for Cortex, which I know is bad, but even we will make sure that they won't fall into Cortex's clutches." Crash then collects the crystal, then the group soon sees a floor grate, then Aku Aku said, "Crash you can break that grate by jumping and body slamming it."

Daxter then said, "Well Jak, though you can't slam it, but if jump and dive, you'll crash down to the ground hard enough to break lots of things. Breaking stuff's fun, right?" Crash then slams down while Jak dives and broke the grate. Jak then noticed something behind a pillar, takes a look and collects another orb.

The group then continued on, and took out two more guards, and noticed immediately another Power Crystal and Crash collected it, this caused a new communicator to appear. Cortex's voice said through this communicator, "Cortex here, listen up! We are not without enemies. Some of them you may even recognize. Although they cannot harm you guys here, they can attack you on your way out of here. To escape the Fortress, defeat the enemy to proceed. Good Luck."

Jak and Crash then dives and slams down and slid down, which the computer soon said, "There is no escape."

Jak and Crash soon landed in the water, and swam to a metal floor, then noticed someone who looked familiar.

It was Ripper Roo, who was different, for he still has is straitjacket, but had a top hat, a blonde mustache, a pair of glasses, and a black cane.

Aku Aku soon noticed a collar as well on Ripper Roo, causing the mask to say, "Crash, Jak, Ripper Roo must be under the control of someone, we must defeat him to get the collar off of him," Jak and Crash nodded and got ready to fight. Ripper Roo began to jump around, and as he jumps the floor around him turned into TNT tiles, which once he's done, they all blew up to his position, causing him to lose his glasses, can and hat, revealing his true eyes and long blonde hair while he laughs crazily, he then jumps around, causing some green tiles that said NITRO on them. He then jumps and they all go off, but this caused Roo to be dazed, this gave Jak and Crash to strike, hitting Roo, which then got his first attire on before the fight started, then started to use more TNT tiles. Jak and Crash repeated the process two more times until Roo was defeated.

[Stop Music]

Ripper Roo's collar breaks, causing him to get up from his daze, looking confused, but looked at Jak and Crash, along with Daxter and Aku Aku, and was happy that he has met his old friends again. But then the communicator appeared, with Cortex's voice laughing, then said, "I see that Ripper Roo failed to prove much of a challenge yet again." Roo snarled at Cortex, while he continued, "But anyway, back to business. There are Power Crystals to be gathered. Twenty, to be exact. The Metal Heads are pressing their attacks, and they will tear the city apart. Properly utilized, however, the Power Crystals can stop them with their energy," Cortex paused, then said, "Drat, got to go, Krimzon Guards are getting suspicious since I let you out, Crash."

Jak then collects two more orbs, while Crash broke the rest of the crates, and got a Power Gem, this caused the communicator to come out, and a familiar voice soon said, "Greetings old friends, it's me, Brio." Everyone was happy to hear familiar voice, as Brio continues, "So! You are helping Cortex a bit to gather Power Crystals, yet you managed to acquire a Power Gem!" Brio laughs, then said, "Well, I hope that you guys are not going to go all the way with my former colleague's plan," Brio laughs again, then continued, "or you will all need to know this! As long as you guys are fully allied with C-C-C-Cortex, you are all now my sworn enemy and I will do anything in my power t-t-to stop all of you!"

Aku Aku soon said, "Rest assured Brio, we will not be with Cortex, we will keep the Power Crystals out his reach."

Brio then said, "That's good," he laughs, and said, "If the fate of this city is truly your concern, you must also g-g-g-gather the Power Gems while collecting the Power C-C-Cr-Crystals! If you guys obtain all thirty-five Power Gems, I can use them to-" he pauses, and said, "focus a weapon!" he laughs, then continues, "A weapon made by someone, that will destroy the barrier to Cortex's true ally. Until then, pretend to work for Cortex, and collect the Power Crystals, while collecting the Power Gems!" The communicator then went back into Jak's backpack, and Jak and Crash began jumping up some walls with Aku Aku floating and Daxter on Jak's shoulder and Ripper Roo behind them as well.

As they climbed up, a door open, and the group were outside, causing Daxter to say, "We're free guys, thanks to me! Nice to breathe some fresh air, huh? We'll get that Baron Praxis guy, all right!"

The group then went off to look around in the city.

So sorry this took a long time for an update, but it is finally done, and Jak and Crash are free, saved Ripper Roo, and learned some stuff about Power Crystals and Power Gems. What will happen next?
