Lipstick

Lilly was asleep. Of course, it was midnight, and so was everyone else at the Stewart house-Miley, Robbie Robbie Ray, and Oliver. The only one awake was Jackson, who was quietly trying to sneak into the kitchen. It wasn't for a midnight snack, though-it was to snag Lilly's lipstick out of her bag.

Lilly's signature color was "Ruby Slippers", but she didn't just wear it around him. She put it on him when he slept. She used it to sign all of her letters, including his birthday card. And one day- if he had his way- she would kiss him with it.

Ok, so he had a crush on his sister's best friends. And it was a little embaressing. But not as much as when Rico put a bannana in the exaust pipe of his car. Or when Rico made him dress up like a girl. Or when Rico...

But it would be worth the embaressment when she was his. Totally. But untill then, all he had was the lipstick.

Jackson stole the lipstick, took a small chunk off of the top, and brought it back downstairs- where Lilly was sitting at the kitchen table.

"Jackson?" She asked, "Why do you have my make-up bag?"

"Um...no reason." Jackson replied, "No reson at all."

"And why," Lilly asked, taking her lipstick out of her bag, "Is the lid to my lipstick half open?"

"Um," Jackson said, trying to think of a good lie, "because I found it and I wanted to make sure it was was yours and not Miley's so I could return it to you!"

"Oh! Thanks, Jackson. That's really sweet." Lilly said pepilly, kissing Jackson on the cheek. The kiss lasted for less than a second, but then he kissed her again, this time on the lips. It lasted for several minutes, maybe days or years, they would never know. And it stopped all too fast, too abruptly, with the sound of a voice and a few giggles from a girl on the staircase...

"EWWWW! That's sooo gross! Sweet, but gross." Miley laughed.

"No, I think it's just gross." Oliver laughed.

"I was just giving Lilly her lipstick back." Jackson whispered, mortified.

"Um, yeah. We saw her give it to YOU!" Miley remarked, "Come on, Lilly. Let's go upstairs- you two can make out more tomorrow."

"Bye, Jackson." Lilly whispered.

"Bye, Lilly." Jackson said. When she left he realized that he was still holding her lipstick in his hand...

He tightened the cap on the lipstick and tossed it back into her bag. It's not like he needed it anymore.
