Fall

"Felix, where have you been?" Fantine demanded when he walked into the little flat that they shared. She had been up waiting for him all night.

"No place of your concern," he said indifferently. Felix changed into his nightclothes and slipped into the bed. Fantine tried to slide in beside him. "Not tonight, Fantine," Felix declared. Fantine nodded her head mournfully and transformed the drawing room sofa into a makeshift bed. It was all right. Tomorrow Felix wouldn't go out and he'd gladly accept her into his bed.
