This is just a little poem I wrote a while back. It's been sitting in my computer for God-knows how many months…Anyway, enjoy!

I'll never forget the day we met
That summer day so long ago
I released your bindings
And yet you were angry
You were reminded of bitter memories
Of someone else you knew
------------
To complete our task
We had to unite
To find the lost shards of the sacred jewel
That scattered to all sides
Of feudal Japan
------------
In the midst of our quest
We ran into…her.
The woman who claimed your heart
But she was but a shell
Made of dirt and clay and bitter memories
Of love and betrayal
----------
You still have feelings for her
But I wish you would let her go
For somewhere along the way
You claimed my heart as well
I wish I didn't feel this way
But the heart has a will all its own
I really am in no place to judge
