Rico's Girlfriend

"Jackson, do you think I can get a girlfriend?" Rico asked sitting on the counter of his dad's beach shop.

"Sure, and I'll get a shot with the president's daughter," Jackson replied with obvious sarcasm. "Look Rico, if you can get a girlfriend by the time I get my next paycheck, I'll give you my salary for a month."

"But that's tomorrow!" Rico complained.

"You gotta do what you gotta do. And no paying someone like you did Nina to do my hair," Jackson said, shivering at the thought of the Nina hair catastrophe. Then he turned to face the next customer.

Rico had gone to the mall after he heard Jackson's dare. He needed that money since his dad had cut off his allowance for having a $500 cell phone bill.

The first girl to pass by was a tall attractive blonde.

He went up to her and said, "Do you like Rico's Beach Shop? My dad owns it."

The lady looked at him like he was a complete idiot and ran off.

"Must not have heard me," he said quietly.

And so this cycle went on until 5:00. After being there for five hours, he decided to ask anyone, not just the attractive people.

The next people to pass by were Jackson's sister Miley and her friend Lilly.

He walked up to them and said, "Hey Miley, you wanna be my girlfriend? Jackson said he'd give me his salary for a month if I got a girlfriend by tomorrow."

"No way short stuff," Miley said with disgust. "I don't dislike Jackson that much. And I wouldn't do it for you after the chicken suit."

"Lilly, please, I'm a begging man please don't turn me down."

"I'll do it for one day but that's all," Lilly told him.

"Thank you! Be at the beach shop at 11:00 tomorrow morning." Then he ran off.

Lilly turned to Miley and saw the disbelief her face.

"What?" Lilly said defensively.

Miley just rolled her eyes.

The Next Day

Lilly was at the beach shop at 11:00 exactly.

"This is my girlfriend, Jackson," Rico said triumphantly.

"Lilly?" Jackson said with disbelief. "Miley probably paid you to do this."

"No she didn't!" Lilly told him.

"Okay prove it kiss him."

Lilly looked at Jackson's face and then at Rico's expectant lips.

She slowly bent down and then-

"AH!" Lilly said startled sitting up in bed. She looked around her darkened room and sighed with relief.

"It was all just a dream.

She laid back down when she slightly tasted wings. She hadn't eaten any but she knew Rico liked wings.

"Wasn't it?"
