"Go on then why here?"

The Doctor's gaze was torn from the waves lazily hitting the shore when Rose spoke. He looked to Rose and was about to reply when there was cheering from out one of the windows behind. The Doctor sighed, that reaction meant only one thing. A certain Captain, it set him wondering what Jack was doing. He'd just been skimming stones when he'd last looked. Though now, it was a different story he was posing for his audience in the window. A group of them, fighting for space at the window, one with a sign as to which flat they were in. (Jack made a note of that.) Happily shouting and calling to him. The Doctor shook his head muttering something about apes as he then looked back to Rose next to him, she was no use giggling at Jack.

"Want to just leave him for a while, while we explore?"

"It might be an idea…" Rose looked round. "Where exactly is he?"

"I, oh..." The Doctor looked up to the window. No-one there, he sighed again, a long suffering the weight of the universe is on my shoulders sigh. "We're leaving him. I'm not going up there and I really don't think you should."

"I'm not. Quite happy here thank you. Though I wouldn't say no to ice cream…" Rose hinted and pointed along the seafront to the hut selling ice cream. "I'm sure we've got time."

"Knowing him a lot of time, they did seem quite… taken." Rose laughed at the Doctor.

"Sure he'll be fine, now ice cream!"

The Doctor never did get to explain why they were there.
