It was Jack's first day at school. Rather it was his first day at this school. Yet another one, if you counted all the first day's he had, well in eleven years of his life he'd been to more schools than he cared to remember. Jack had managed to get through the morning fine, science and math were never a problem. He was quite happy to sit there and get lost in the work he was doing, though he would more than happily answer questions and talk to the others he had been sat with. But now, now it was that playtime after lunch. This was always slightly awkward when you were new, one day and he'd be fine, it was just this first day and there was finding out who he could hang around with. So this found him standing on the edge of the small grassy area alone watching the others play.
Jack was alone and not bothered about this until she ran into him.
"Sorry." She said as she stood up and looked at him. "You're new." She stated.
"Is it that obvious?"
"You want to come play?"
"Sure, what?"
She lent close to him. "Tag." Before she the hit him on the arm. "You're it!" With that she ran, laughing.
"HEY!" Jack gave chase, finally managing to catch her, though instead of hitting her, he gave her a kiss on the cheek. She went red. "You're it." The bell rang, startling her, it was then she noticed he'd already started to head back inside. Running to catch him up.
"I'm Dee."
"Jack." Jack might just like being here.
