Hi everyone. Firstly an apology, this chapter was meant to be longer, going into the yule ball. however i have been struggling with writing the scene itself so if by the end of the chapter you feel it may have been a little abrupt, that's because it was. although it does mean that you get the Christmas chapter on Christmas eve. the story itself i have planned as far as chapter 9ish and the story's endgame with a mini side story and a few spin-offs, so i have no intention on cutting off mid story. Enjoy the chapter.

25th November 1994

"...and then the dragon just sort of poked its claw to your head and you collapsed. The French student you ran in with put a cushioning charm or something up and floated you back behind the shield. The dragon settled down after that". Ron and Hermione had just finished telling Harry what had happened yesterday. "Your bloody mental you know, jumping into a pit with an angry dragon, it sounds like something Charlie would have done". Added Ron.

"Brave and Barmy, that certainly sounds like you". "No need to insult him Blaise, even if he deserves it" added Blaise and Tracey respectively, they had dropped by to pass on the message from Professor Babbling excusing him from classes for the day along with a note from Hagrid saying today's class was optional. Professor Snape however gave no such luck and instead promised a massive point deduction if he didn't show.

"Both are really the same thing, you can't have one without the other". Finished Harry standing up after finishing the Potions Madam Pomfrey had given him. They hadn't figured out exactly what it was that caused Harry to faint so they had given him all that they could safely give him.

There was still more than an hour and a half before classes started. So, his friends had dropped by to check on him, along with a package handed to them by the headmaster. It didn't take much knowledge to guess as to what it was inside. Harry had unwrapped the sword of Gryffindor now with its own sheath adored in Gryffindor colours with a small note from Dumbledore to use it responsibly.

The headmaster had spoken to the media when asked where the sword had come from and told them that the sword would come to a Gryffindor in need and there was no doubt that in the moment Harry needed it. Some things he couldn't answer but given that the press was more than just skeeter, there would be more than one story as to what happened.

/:EITS:\

When his friends had left for class and Harry was discharged, he took advantage of the excused classes and made his way down to the chamber via one of the gateways.

The Chamber was as gloomy as ever, however not nearly as cold as the rest of the castle. The massive skeleton of the basilisk stared at him inspecting him before it returned to position. For a while he wanted to try the last new skill he'd got after waking up that morning. "Sage, any advice for how to use this skill"

-Sage-

Answer. The skill 'Armament Full Control Art' consists of two stages, with a focus on the memories of the weapon. The first called 'Enhance Armament' releases an effect unique to the weapon. Imaging must be used to focus the stored power within. The second stage 'Release Recollection'' is a greater version of the fist stage, as such a greater imaging of the weapon is required. Extended use of either stage will weaken the weapon. To use the first stage, focus your magic on the weapon you choose. Listen to the memories stored within.

Harry took out the sword from its new sheath holding it before him. Pushing his magic into it was almost like using Spellblade and the Sword Skills but it seemed to know what his intentions were. The blade seemed to grasp him; his hands now locked on the grip.

Then the chamber around him changed, glitching like the forbidden forest had half a year ago. Now he stood within the great hall which looked massively different to now. The room felt a lot shorter, the tables that stretched across the expanse were now only enough to seat barely 40 a side. The top table had changed now holding what seemed like 7 thrones.

Sitting in one of the thrones was a man he could recognize, the man whose secret chamber lay deep below the school. Sitting beside Slytherins founder was a woman in her mid 40's adorned in blue and writing in a massive tome. Atop her head lay a familiar Diadem. He could almost hear it singing to him.

"Bwahahaha" boomed a powerful voice, the doors slammed open making way for the remaining two founders to enter. "Must you be so noisy Godric" admonished Salazar.

"Oh, let him be Sal, he's been waiting for this for a long time. So how is it Godric" spoke Rowena. The Excited Gryffindor founder had reached the table by this point holding out a beautiful sword inset with a number of rubies.

"It is magnificent, a worthy legacy. The goblins really outdid themselves creating this masterpiece". said a beaming Godric

"Just don't use it like your last one Ric, swords have no place at the dinner table" spoke Helga, pouring some wine into her cup. "Now how about you show us what it can do" Asked Salazar, fiddling with the Locket beneath his shirt. Godric Smiled.

The great hall faded to a forest, a familiar clearing with Godric standing headstrong against a massive blood red dragon. He was bleeding in places with a multitude of burn marks. His wand had been burnt to a crisp before he pulled out his famed sword. "You will not defeat me drake. While I still draw breath I can stand. If I can stand, I can fight, now have at thee". This legendary fight would go down in history even past the statue of secrecy, the legend of saint George and the slaying of a mighty dragon.

The dragon lay defeated, its head hanging limp. Godric still stood putting weight on the sword as it approached the dragon. The dragon holding to life turned to the approaching threat and opened its mouth preparing to burn the human to a crisp. However, the human ran forth plunging the sword up the dragon's mouth and into its brain, ending the creature. The founder removed the sword swinging it leaving a trail of blood splatter on the floor. Before facing the sky and gave a mighty bellow.

The memory changed again and again to a range of different memories before lastly changing to what Harry had to guess was the headmaster's office. Within sat an aged Godric, scars coated his face, his right arm missing. Before him, propped up on a stool was a hat, something he had been working on with Rowena for a number of years. But now he was the last one left.

The school would be in safe hands, a mixture of descendants and the best instructors that Hogwarts had produced. But now he was tired, his magic had begun to wane, soon he would pass, but first.

He brought his wand, a replacement for many that came before, the 60th or so. The wand came to his temple, and he cast a Spell that Rowena and Salazar had made. A Spell that extracted not just memories but a conscious. There were murmurs of people planning to use these for painting, but it would be a long time before then and he didn't have that long. The golden substance that was extracted was placed within the hat before him. The process was complete, all four founders had taken their turn putting a part of themselves within. When the stand left his wand, he could feel it. The greeting of old friends within. Lastly, he took his beloved sword and placed it within the hat, instructing it only to come to those worthy and brave enough to call themselves a Gryffindor.

"It's time" he spoke slowly, getting up and making his way towards the glass window overlooking the school. "My friends, I think it's time I join you on this next adventure". He took a seat and watched the sun set. By the time the sun had gone behind the hills, Godric had drawn his last breath.

Harry remained still; such memories of the founders was an experience. During Godric's last moments he had knelt beside him looking out the window, sharing the same view Godric had. The memory began to fade before he was once again in the chamber of secrets, sword once more in his hand.

He felt a knowing presence, a fire in his chest and the memory of Godric facing the dragon, a fight that sparked a legend. He would remake that fire. Memories of his own facing dragon and fighting the basilisk. He held the sword aloft and shouted strongly.

"Enhance Armament". The below felt powerful, he hadn't meant to shout it, but it felt right. No sooner had he said it that the sword had lit in flames which to him didn't feel hot but when he brought It to the water it burst into steam. He took a swing at the wall of the chamber to no resistance and a deep gouge in the wall remained. The first stage had worked, now to try the second.

Sword held out in front he made the second call "Release Recollection". The flames jumped from the blade to a spot in the room and expanded and within the flame a shape formed. "No way" said Harry as the form of Godric Gryffindor took shape. "HAAAAA" a bellow of passion erupted from the form as the fire erupted again.

The shape blurring as the heat increased. And then Harry's vision began to blur. He hadn't noticed until now, but his MP had been dropping greatly since he had begun the tests. He tried to stop the skill, but it was too late his MP plummeted to zero and his vision blanked out.

Warning.

MP has reached critical levels

Status - Mind Down

He hadn't felt himself hit the ground, but he knew that was likely. His vision was taken up mostly by that message. Most of his visual icons that he could see were minimized. The clock remained but the minute numbers seemed to pass at the speed of seconds. When it had reached 11:38 it began to slow as his mp bar began to fill. Eventually his vision returned to the sight of the empty chamber. He had indeed fallen to the floor. "Sage, what the hell was that?" called Harry groggily as he lifted himself from the damp floor.

-Sage-

Answer. Mind Down, a status you receive when 95% of your MP is used in a short space of time. With practice the limit can be pushed back to fight while at 0 MP, however it has further risk of Status Effect 'Mind Zero' which is caused by physical and magical exhaustion and takes longer to recover from.

'Right, so no fighting till I run out of MP, got it' Harry sighed. 'For now, I need to change, this stuff is nasty'. Harry took advantage of his 'quick-change' feature, as the uniform he was wearing was an equipment set by changing out of it and changing back, it would clean and restore his uniform. 'So, while mostly a success I'll have to leave the 2nd stage till I can handle it. Still, I have a flame sword so, I see this as a win. Now what should I do till lunch'. Harry was about to walk through one of the snake gates when he heard a chime. The same sound that would call when he received one of the notifications, but a window didn't open instead one of the icons in his shortcuts had a 1 to the side of it. Usually that only happened when he'd add a Correspondence letter to his log. He tapped the icon.

New Private Message

Unknown

You put on a good show. Though not as good as last time.

P.S. Save me a Dance

/:EITS:\

It was the end of the day and Harry was still paranoid. The message from the mystery Gamer was still at the forefront of his mind. The messaging system was something he hadn't looked into, because at the time he had believed he was the only Gamer. As it turned out, sending a message back to the recipient was not possible.

It was like Uncle Vernon had described using a private number used by certain businesses where they could call you, but you couldn't call them. In other words, Harry had to find out who they were the old-fashioned way. In potions he had tried sending messages to people but as it turned out sending messages to non-gamers had the effect of whispering in their ear, at least that was the reaction of Ron and Hermione. Plus, for some reason you had to know the recipient's full name.

Finding the full name of every student would have been impossible if he didn't have the analysis skill. Plus, every time he entered a message to someone it added them to his contact list. The Potions lesson consisted of Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs, so he'd at least eliminated half of his year that just left nearly 800 from his school and the students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang.

'The part in the message about him doing better this time, does that mean someone else came back. Did I just out myself to however many gamers there are out there. At least the part about 'saving a dance' meant she was probably a girl. But then again Seamus and Dean went together last time. 'Urggg, can't I just have a break, just for once'. Harry begged whatever god was watching.

He'd decided to spend the evening in the library, mostly in search of any other strategies he could find for the ice pillars break event next week. His matches would be next Wednesday all afternoon. The rules were fairly open for the event, you couldn't fire spells at the opposing player, but you could use spells on either player's columns of ice. As such he was looking up for any spells that could preserve or destroy ice specifically and any brute force spells. He had found a spell that could produce what muggles called liquid nitrogen, however even maximized it wouldn't produce what he was looking for.

He placed the book he was reading back on the shelf by this point he was browsing every book that he'd never read before. His original strategy had been to simply maximize and use a series of bombarda's and however as it turned out using that strategy on twelve pillars when he'd tried it in the room of requirement had almost drained him of his MP and he'd felt the early effects of what he now knew was Mind Down. And the recovery rate of his mp wasn't quick enough between matches unless he bought the 'Mana Recovery' Skill. 250SP wasn't a ridiculous price considering it was a really useful skill especially now he was essentially gaining 200 SP a fortnight, but Harry wanted to find a way around his predicament.

A book caught his eye. 'Tome of Orario' a book that was almost coated in dust but otherwise in great condition. He'd picked it up bringing it back to his work desk. He checked the time, the library would likely be open for another 15 minutes, enough time to browse through this book and check out a few of the others he had found.

Placing the Tome in front of him he wetted his Quill next to a piece of parchment, one that had a short list of spells on. He turned to the first page. The words seemed to be written in another language before his Universal Language Skill took over.

"There are two types of magic, the first is magic certain races are born with. The second is a form of magic granted by a Deity's blessing. The latter can be a form of self-expression of the recipient or the giver. What are you interested in? What do you accept? What do you Hate? Desire? Sorrow over? Worship? Or vow? What do you truly long for? The trigger is always within you".

"Okay, let's start then" Harry looked up from the book. The desk remained, but the room had disappeared and instead he was surrounded by a scene from a planetarium with a sea of stars. In front of him was a reflection of himself, though he looked much older, around the same age he was before he returned. Older Harry just smiled, "What is magic to me?".

Harry took a second, magic was many things but could never be fully described in one way. But to harry it was. "A strong power, a means to defeat those who stand in my way." The older him smile grew wider moving in the space.

"What sort of thing is magic to me?". Another tough question but soon answered.

"A flame, one that burns and warms, a flame to defend with and protect."

"What do I seek from magic?"

"A way to fight without end, to swiftly strike and bring this conflict to a quick end before it can begin"

The older Harry had turned back to face him. "A very grown-up answer, I'm sure a younger you would have wanted to be a hero, like those books we used to read"

He would have been right, when he was younger, long before Hogwarts harry would hide in the library reading books of legends and heroes of old. "That's not what the world needs right now, it doesn't need some hero to save the day, it just needs someone with the means and the will, to do what is done, for the benefit of all, for the..." Harry stopped a familiar phrase about to be spoken, one spoken by both a lord of dark and of light. Then another sentence came to . "There is no good or evil, only power and those too weak to use it"

'So that's how it is'

/:EITS:\

A thud awoke Harry, no longer was he in a sea of stars but back in the library. "It is long past curfew Mr Potter; I suggest you start to make your way back". Spoke madam Pince, a book in her hand and a slight scowl that was always present. Harry looked in front of him, several of the books lay awaiting to be read. His note parchment lay with a small pool of drool where his head had lay. However, the massive tome was gone.

New Skill Acquired

New Spell Learned

'Firebolt'

That was different, when he'd received the three Spells as a reward for cleansing the horcrux they were on a piece of rolled up parchment and were classed as an item. The remaining scroll sat in his storage ready to be used. He would have to try this, immediately. Gathering his stuff and putting the book left over on the return pile, harry make quick work of getting to the room of requirement. Within seconds a number of training dummies moved to position awaiting a command. 'Sage, what do I need to do'.

-Sage-

The Spell 'Firebolt' is a swift trigger Spell, only its name is required to activate. No magic focus seems to be required.

'So, a wandless Spell and not in Latin', Harry raised his hand taking aim at the first target. "Firebolt!" He cried and a small ball of fire swiftly struck the target, even fired from his bare hand he could hardly feel the heat. Taking out his Holly wand he tried again. Almost no difference except it was far more precise in where it struck. "Dorea's wand seemed to increase its power a little, however using a Maximize is where it truly shone. A single strike seemed to consume the target; it seemed like a relatively safe 'Fiendfyre' with the way it reduced the training target to ashes.

Harry focused on the room and a chill made him open his eyes. In front of him was a massive column of ice, just like he'd be facing in a few days. The next hour was spent finding the best way to use this new Spell and a few others he'd found that night. A useful tactic he'd found was that he could cast a protective Spell with his wand hand and fire a 'Firebolt' with his other hand, however the MP cost of using the two spells simultaneously would be seemed to quadruple the cost rather than double it.

When his MP had been reduced to 25% he took a break, by now it was half ten. The marauders map showed a great number of prefects and staff members roaming the halls. One astronomy class was in progress. Some of the names he'd recognized as second years. He put his Cloak back on and had his map ready. The route from the room to his dorm was fairly short, even shorter when using the chamber.

/:EITS:\

Wednesday 30th November

The day was here, the first event he would officially be taking part in. The last few nights had been spent practicing his new spells. The Spiritus glacies charm, the spell that created liquid nitrogen combined with Widen and Maximize, equaled a pretty good reforming Spell adding a coat of ice over the pillars in effect refreezing them, although he would have to be careful that he didn't coat his opponent's pillars at the same time.

Although Hermione had told him that if he was working with liquid nitrogen to be careful as heating it too quickly would result in an explosion. It was meant as a warning, but Harry would be using it as a tactic instead.

He was now heading for the players' tents; the event would take place in the quidditch grounds. Among his fellow representatives for the men's juniors were Blaise, Justin and Terry. Today he would be taking part in 2 matches for his grouping against a player from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang each.

The winner of each grouping would then move onto the semi finals and final matches at the end of the year during what they'd dubbed finals week taking place after their exams but before the final challenge. The only event after the final challenge was the MD Football

Checking his gear over again before they would have called, he checked his robes, that were his standard school robes plus Cloak. Ice Pillars was one of the events where you could wear whatever you want during, but apart from his uniform, house robes and Dursley clothes, the only thing he had to where was the Armour of Hades.

Something he'd been working on was that with Sage, it would trigger any skills when certain spells were cast, saving Harry from having to trigger them each time. For his liquid nitrogen Spell, it would automatically trigger the Widen and Maximize Modifiers. His firebolt meanwhile had Maximize and his newly purchased Pierce Modifier.

Terry was called first and although he'd managed well against the Beauxbatons student, he had over exhausted himself before his round against the Durmstrang student.

Blaise had an easy match up, his swift spellcasting resulted in a quick victory. Justin would be up next; however, Harry saw his first match up. The same student who had followed him into an arena with a distraught dragon.

Ares Flamel, his uniform flowing elegantly, even from the rough first meeting he was someone who emitted power.. When he was brought out he was met by a bout of cheering from his school, cries of adoration from what Harry assumed was his fans filled the stadium at his entrance. Unfortunately for Justin his match was short, pillars came under a relentless onslaught of vibration and air Bullet magic. It was a sight to behold, however Justin suffered for it as in his next match he had next to no confidence and was soundly defeated by his Durmstrang opponent.

"And now we begin the first match of the last set, from Hogwarts school, the Boy-Who-Lived, Harry Potter ''. 'Did they have to do that?' Harry sighed as he entered his platform. Screams could be heard from the Hogwarts side. Flashes as cameras took pictures. Harry ignored it, eyes locked as his opponent took the stage. "And from Durmstrang Institute, we have Alexei Doukas" a much more sedate applause was heard at his entrance, but his opponent didn't seem to be affected by it.

Harry held his Holly wand ready in his right hand, his strategy for today relied on charm work rather than outright bombardment.

The match began and Harry made his opening move 'Widen Maximize Magic' "Glacius!" A massive wave of ice-covered Harry's field coating his half of the stage with a thick layer of ice. The crowd was taken back by the massive frost that had coated half of the field; some casting warming charms to keep away the chill. His opposition retaliated with a series of bombardment spells however were barely taking chunks out of the massive wall of ice before him. 'Next spell', wand raised again he cast 'Widen Maximize Magic' "Spiritus Glacies!''

This time a sheen of liquid spread over his opponent's field coating every pillar, they looked confused until Harry raised his left hand, 'Maximize Magic' "Firebolt" a massive ball of fire erupted from his hand arching over the field impacting in the middle of the enemy's pillars, consuming one of the central pillars. Harry then quickly cast a shield charm as the liquid nitrogen expanded erupting the pillars at the center where the firebolt hit outwards destroying the remaining pillars.

When the explosions settled one field was full of complete pillars while the other had a few steaming chunks of ice remaining. Silence reigned until the announcer claimed the march as Harry's win.

Notice.

Due to regular use of the Spiritus glacies charm. You have unlocked a new Spell.

The second match went differently with his Beauxbatons opponent taking a more defensive match, managing to prevent the liquid nitrogen spell. Hot Headed Ice Match

1st December

Yesterday Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry held the first division of the New Ice pillars Break contest to take place as part of the Tri wizard tournament. with the fist matches featuring the junior males kicking the event off. Some very lucky viewers including this journalist were fortunate enough to see the events first hand. To those who haven't been listening or been hiding in a cave for the last few months here is a quick recap of the new event.

Each match is a one vs one race to destroy a series of ice pillars before the other. These ice pillars are 5 feet wide and 12 feet tall. 12 contestants yesterday went head-to-head, some with inventive methods and others with pure power. Only 4 of these 12 go on to the finals that will be held at the end of the year. Of the four who remain of the junior men's division are Hans Wallin of Durmstrang, Ares Flamel of Beauxbatons and Blaise Zabini and Harry Potter of Hogwarts. Already things are looking to be an all-star line-up when the event resumes later in the school year.

Witch Weekly

1 December

Boys, Boys and More Boys

As many of our loyal readers know, our own Hogwarts is hosting the prestigious Tri-Wizard tournament. And this time round there are a number of new events with more changes for members of the schools to be involved. Wednesday held the start of the ice pillars event with the men's juniors kicking off with quite a show. That's all well and good but not what I know our viewers are reading for as such we at Witch Weekly have compiled a list of the competitors ranked by looks and availability. A monumental task was taken to put this list together for our viewers in time, especially with such prolific contenders involved.

/:EITS:\

3rd December 1994

Harry was hiding again, the library of books that couldn't hurt him or send girls into a frenzy around him. It was 2 days ago that the first articles came out about the ice pillars first round. And earlier today Professor McGonagall had announced the Yule Ball, unfortunately while not a champion of the main individual event anymore he was still a champion taking part in three events as such all competitors had to find a date.

Which brings Harry to know hiding in a corner of the library, he'd come to try to either do more spell research or decide who he would invite to the ball. He had intended to ask Parvati, but she had quite a public proposition from one of the Hufflepuffs. During the announcement Ron had been on the verge of breakdown like before, but some gentle nudging from Harry had pointed him Hermione's way with some gentle suggestions hopefully he could avert a 6th year repeat and have Ron make his feelings clear earlier and not ruin the ball for Hermione like last time.

"Haaaaahhh, why is this never simple?" Harry complained to no one.

-Sage-

I can compile a list of possible partners and a rate of success based on your current relationships if you would like?

Since gaining 'sage', Harry had tasked it with using the analysis skill on anything and everything. And since Sage's ability was based on Harry's INT stat, all his allotted SP was put into that stat. Since then, Sage's speech has become more human and less blocky, like the systems. "Thanks sage". The list was fairly long and fairly simple, most of the students he knew were on the list with some obviously excluded. Apparently, the now level 8 analysis skill gives a mini bio describing the person and giving a basic description of how they viewed him.

"40 people to pick from, how wish I had this before when picking a date". Even after the scanning he was unable to pick out his mystery gamer. Nearly 70% of the student population had been scanned by 'sage' and no indication that anyone was one. Even with the levels viewable each person was different but most students no more than 8 levels above their age.

There were some exceptions, such as the champion students. Each had a slightly higher level which Harry put down to the likelihood of greater magical training or just the extra practice the tournament gave them.

New item found fulfilling mental note 'Investigate Family'

'Family Trees of the Greats'

"About time", finding information about his family had proven harder for Harry than he thought. Every book Harry could find at Flourish and Blott's merely had a few mentions of previous potters with the most about himself and his parents. Finding books about family trees was even more impossible.

The ministry archives require certain credentials to see files regarding family relations even his own inquiries regarding family lines required harry to be at least 17, the age one becomes an adult in the magical world. As such his search for his family history was put on hold. Till now at least.

"Please don't disappear on me this time" Harry said as he opened the book. Unlike last time he didn't end up in some star filled world and the book stayed put. For once a book with what he was looking for didn't vanish. Checking the index he found the page for the main line, quickly making a note of the few branches he turned to the main page.

The page opened up like the marauders map going back dozens of generations. At the bottom showed the only name emboldened in a brighter colour. That name being his own, of the nearly 2000 names in the family's recorded history he was the only remaining descendant, a harrowing reminder for harry. Even looking back at the lines further back ended in the end of those, even the branch lines had gone extinct. Most died out in the world wars or the Vietnam war. He was truly alone.

Splotches began to appear on the parchment, it took him a second to realize he was crying. Taking a second to breath and clear his eyes he began to close the book when he noticed something. He had noticed, on a few entries leading off a few of the female entries in what showed a flower bud. "What is..Sage''

-Sage-

Unknown, no known key has been given.

"Whatcha got here" a bubbly voice spoke up from behind him. "Tracey, Merlin, wear a bell or something".

"I've been told that before, though that would look quite cute. But you didn't answer my question, what's that? ". By now Harry knew Tracey wouldn't give up easily and told her.

"It's a book about the family trees of some of the oldest wizarding families, my own among them," Harry explained, opening the book to his family's page.

"Ah this is awesome, it's even one of the newer editions".

"Newer Editions", asked Harry.

"Yeah, the older editions were not self-updating but were more widespread. The newer editions have an automatic link to the ministry registry, you could basically watch families expand and fall from your office.". Tracey seemed really in her element explaining it, Harry was about to stop her. "Plus, it has this cool feature, look see that bud, it means that they are expecting, see right there" Tracey excitedly pointing to a name that had grayed out with the bud growing from the name's plaque. Before Tracey could realize what it was she said, Harry quickly left the room. Tracey looked back to the name she had pointed out and silence fell.

It had been more than 24 hours, and no one had seen harry, as soon as Tracey had noticed her mistake she had ran after him. There was no trail, sightings of Harry had ended a few corridors away. Asking Hermione and Ron had resulted in an odd exchange of looks before the three had taken off to a particular hallway on the seventh floor. Hermione had made her swear not to tell anyone of the room, which she agreed to.

The room would have been amazing to see if it weren't for its state. The moment the door opened it was in ruin. Whatever charms that held the room to near imperviousness had been overpowered and were still slowly repairing. The scary part was that most of the damage didn't appear to be magic damage. Whatever Harry had done was immense.

The following day they had been constantly asking around, to no results. Dobby was called, the House Elf couldn't give a response as to where, only that Harry was somewhere safe. While it did not appease Tracey, it seemed to relax the other two somewhat. "So where is he then, do we tell the teachers, do we put together a search party? '' Tracey began to panic only to be stopped by Hermione.

"Take a breath Tracey. You having a panic attack won't help anyone. I have an idea as to where Harry is but…"

"Why does there have to be a but".

"There is one place in the castle Harry could be, the only problem is that only Harry can get to it". Sensing Tracey was about to spiral again, Ron took over, "we'll tell the headmaster Tracey, his phoenix was able to get there once, he can do it again. Get some rest, we'll get word to you when we find him". Tracey nodded before standing up and making her way to her dorm room. both Hermione and Ron shared an exchanged nod before heading towards the headmaster's office

10 minutes later the remaining members of the golden trio were sitting in Dumbledore's office having explained their current predicament. "I understand the situation, the likelihood that Harry is in the chamber is high. The wards of the castle alert me whenever someone enters or leaves the school. 2 years ago, during the fiasco I had been observing the wards, seeing if someone entered the chamber. However, when young Mr Potter was inside the chamber he was still within the protective wards, the only difference is the entry for harry and miss Weasley didn't show a location". Dumbledore rose from his desk walking over to one of the magical instruments decorating the wall. "Throughout the past year I have observed Harry's location disappearing at times, the odd thing is that each time he comes from different locations and reappears at different points. I have been meaning to ask him about it, however with everything happening this year it became impossible. It seems I've left the matter too late."

To the teens in the room, the century old man looked even older. Working three full time positions alongside whatever jobs the headmaster was tasked on doing would be enough to stretch any man thin, no matter how great. Finding time on top of all that to keep an eye on one student of thousands, would be a near impossible task.

"Fawkes, old friend. Could I ask you to find Mr potter. I'm sure you remember where to go". Asked the headmaster to his loyal phoenix. The phoenix stared at the headmaster in concentration before the melodious Phoenix song filled the room and the majestic creature disappeared in a burst of flames.

Seconds passed the headmaster still looking to Fawkes' Perch. The smell of ozone from the phoenix's flame travel ability had faded, the smell of parchment and the faint smell of sherbet lemons returned to the room.

2 minutes after disappearing Fawkes returned with an even bigger flash of flames, the limp form of a familiar figure clasped in its talons. "HARRY" screamed Ron and Hermione as they raced to their friend's limp body

Hospital Wing

"What could have done this to him" spoke Hermione. An hour ago, they had rushed harry to the hospital wing, Dumbledore and harry using Fawkes while the others had reached the wing on foot in record time. When they had arrived, a section had been curtained off with several staff members and aurors standing guard. "If you're going to go in, I suggest you come along miss Granger" spoke the oily voice of their potion's professor holding out a satchel containing a vast number of potions. Hermione took the satchel looking to Ron "find Tracey let her know Harry's been found". Ron nodded, running off to find the Slytherin.

Stepping through the curtain, Hermione was positioned behind the potion's professor while Madam Pumfrey and several others medical personnel cast Spells and removed what remained of his clothing. Words for medical diagnosis filled the room, confusing Hermione to no end. On one of the trays sat a few items that had been taken off harry. The Holly wand, looking singed and the marauders map sat unopened.

The following hour Hermione supplied Snape with potions as he tried to sort out what was happening to her friend.

"I've never seen magic burn out like this, not in a child so young". "I didn't think someone could reach this state without an Obscurial". "Don't use such a term, especially with those present". Two physicians were reprimanded by a third, but Hermione noticed they didn't look at her but rather Dumbledore.

She had read the rumors of what had happened to his younger sister. That she was unable to properly contain her magic and the lesser-known reports of his nephew, for the headmaster it must feel like time repeating itself. If Harry had truly developed an Obscurus, it meant another child he had meant to protect had been afflicted by this deadly parasite.

By dinner time it was decided that the only thing remaining to do was give him rest. He was hooked up to several bags, similar to what Hermione had seen patients at muggle hospitals have. The burn marks covering most of his body had healed replaced with fresh skin, several restorative potions had repaired the rest however the exhaustion couldn't be fixed by potions or be supplied with magic.

That night he had a visitor.

5th December 1994

2:30 AM

Sneaking past doors was fairly simple when you had a House Elf popping you about. The security for the medical wing was more to stop patients breaking out then getting in. walking up to the curtained off area she stepped into his sick bay.

A sword appeared on her hip as she stepped closer to the sleeping potter. "You can't Hit the bucket just yet potter" hopping onto the bed beside him she pulled out a sword clasping his hands around the hilt of the sword. Both of them were enveloped in a gentle blue glow as the swords Innate effect Spirit Healing took over. The effect wouldn't work on her but for Harry who was suffering from mind zero. The dangerous result of pushing past mind down, exhausting himself magically and pushing past the physical exhaustion.

10 minutes later Harry began to stir, she returned the sword and put her hand on his forehead gently stroking his hair out of his face. His eyes slightly opened, he still looked so exhausted. "Mum" the young potter spoke, eyes blurry.

"I'm afraid not Harry".

"Am I dreaming?" he asked.

"Just because it's a dream, but why on earth should that mean it isn't real" the words seemed to resonate with him and slipped back into sleep.

Seconds later the bed was empty, and a silent pop signaled the end to his visit
