The Ori ships shot at them from every direction. They were on earth this time. Everything had changed the Ori had cheated! They had killed the ancients, and now the horrible child that Vala gave birth to was going to destroy Earth, unless they conformed to the origin of the Ori. Vala was in charge of helping get everyone to the alpha site. An Ori appeared in the briefing room, as the blast door shield fell down across the windows.
If tomorrow never comes

The place was crumbling at the will of the Ori. Daniel was a traitor and had chosen the so-called path of enlightenment. Maybe Vala should have too; maybe it was the true path. She held back tears as she thought of Daniel. It hurt her to think of what Jack had done. He had killed Daniel, he had killed his own best friend, but it wasn't really Daniel. Daniel had died when he turned. If only Vala would see the sun and stars again, she'd know he was still with her.

Vala gasped as a slight chill ran down her spine, she shuddered, and she liked the feelings. It was the same feeling Daniel gave her when he ran a comforting hand down and up her back. She had always liked that Daniel, had been able to make her feel differently. He made her want to just drop everything, and give him children he could come home to and play with. The lights sparked as she thought about this, for a split second she thought she saw him.

There would be no tomorrow for her, and she knew that. Even if they somehow survived this, there would still be no tomorrow for her. He was gone, and now he heart was gone as well. He just had to take the step further to become a god damn prior. She wanted to save him, and then wring his neck for being such a stupid arrogant ass!

Vala felt a tap on her shoulder. Not wanting to turn around, in fear of what it might be there, she stood still. The soft comforting hand of Daniel rested upon her shoulder. She whirled around quickly, at the feeling she knew. She was face to face with Daniel. No not Ori Daniel, just Daniel, the geeky archeologist. A smile graced her lips. She hadn't smiled in forever. Daniel smiled back, and pulled her into a deep longing kiss.

It was he, but there was something else. He was an ascended being for the umpteenth time. A light covered them, as the SGC walls and ceiling tumbled down upon their lit up bodies. Vala didn't know what was happening, but when she opened her eyes they were somewhere green, in a park, with a bench, and a white gazebo. Flowers, trees, and birds surrounded the two.

"Daniel…what's going on." Vala pulled out of his grasp, and studied what lay before her. "I'm dead aren't I." Daniel gave a nod of his head. She knew why he was sent back. It wasn't to help with the war, it was to take here and make her ascend. "I'll only ascend if you'll be with me, if not I'd rather just die." She stood firm.

Daniel, grabbed her roughly, and brought her in close to his body. They were face to face, and Daniel recaptured her lips with his. They were warm, and full of love. She enjoyed the kiss, and that was the only answer she needed.
