Elizabeth Carmine grew up on the stories of her heroic uncles and father- inspired by them to follow into the military. Now as a proficient driver and mechanic in the COG army, her fortitude and bravery are put to the test when the Swarm rises from below and will forge her into the Gear she knew she was born to be. 6. A Small Update (and thank you)!

What's up to the scant few viewers/followers of this humble story from a dogged fan.

Despite the username change, I know you'll no doubt be disappointed that this is not so much a chapter after all this time-, but a simple update,- but I thought I'd just give you all a heads-up that I'm very much still alive and well. The past year's been a rollercoaster of real life circumstances ramming into me from the sides like an unseen Retro Charge; some of these have helped shape my life for the better, some of which have left me a bit worse for wear both physically and mentally.

In my time adjusting to these changes, I've taken the time to continue touching up on the chapters I've been writing in miniscule increments.

And I'm now happy to announce that there will be not one, but TWO chapters releasing within the week! And that's a certified promise!

I've never truly rated my writing, but the praise I've recieved from you guys in both the comments AND PMs has given me nothing both confidence. I'm proud that you guys like the story, my interpretation of Lizzie, and my injection of OCs, namely Benik. (I never expected him to be so well-recieved right off the bat!)

I've discovered in the recent year that there's more to life than simply doing nothing or playing videogames after a mind-numbing shift in a dead-end job. As such, I've been focusing more on my hobbies such as my Warhammer collection, and of course, tidbits of writing. It's so much more rewarding, but never as rewarding as the feeling of satisfaction of delivering a decent story to good folks like yourselves.

I wouldn't have gotten 5 chapters (soon to be 7!) without you guys, and for that, you have my sincerest thanks! You've waited long enough.

This chapter will be deleted once I've gotten plenty of extra entries added to 'Gears Keep Turning' but until then, I want my gratitude to remain where you can all see it. Stay tuned, the next entry in Benik and Lizzie's story is coming!
